The Old and New Marauders Map.
How did they find the Marauder's Map how did it end up in their hands? Why were they chosen to get the Marauders Map both the old and the new? Who were some of the Marauders map members? Harry Potter got the Marauder's Map put in his hand. He wanted to go show it immediately to Ron and Hermione and see where they were on the Marauders Map. He was feeling lonely, anxious, nervous, out of whack, and out of sorts. He and his friends had been through a lot over the 1 plus that he had known them. He was still feeling like his parents were watching him and keeping an eye over him even though they knew that he was safe with Dumbledore and nobody could harm him as long as he was under Dumbledore's Control and also in Dumbledore's hand at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. He knew that the Marauders map had gotten in his hand for a certain purpose.
He wanted to go find Ron and Hermione but at the same time he knew that he had a task which needed to be taken care of; but at the same time, he knew that his friends would be interested in him as well as the Marauders Map. He knew that everyone who had held the Marauders map was famous as he was. He went to find Ron and Hermoine and he told them the story of how the Marauders Map had just plopped into his lap. He knew that Hagrid would be interested so they went off to see Hagrid down at his dungeon but when they got there, they were told that Hagrid was busy and in a meeting with the Ministry of Magic about Norbert. The 3 of them knew at the moment it wasn't the right time to see Hagrid, so they hide behind a bush until the Ministry had left. Then they went over and knocked on Hagrid's door. Hagrid took a peek in the peephole to see who it was. After a while, he finally let them in and said "oh thank g-d it's only you can I make you a cup of tea.
Hagrid put the water for the tea onto boil with a slight flick of his wand. They told him their story all about the Marauders Map and how it ended up in Harry's lap. Harry explained that it just dropped out of the sky like a flying paper airplane. Harry looked around and said out loud where did that come from? He heard footsteps coming down the path and then he noticed Malfoy, Crab, and Goyle peeking in at them and they raced right back up to the school and told Professor Snape what they had seen. Snape didn't believe that they were out of bed at first so he told them to go back to their dormitory. The next thing that Snape did was go talk to Professor McGonagall who said come in Snape how may I help you? Snape told her all about what he had just been told by 3 people in his house and McGonagall said nonsense I saw them upstairs in their dorm rooms a little while ago when I went to go do my rounds for lights out. It's true McGonagall, Snape said three of my students spotted them out of bed. Snape said let's go talk to Albus about this.
The two of them wandered off down the hall to Dumbledore's office and knocked on his door and a big deep voice said who is it and so McGonagall and Snape addressed themselves and then he said to come in. Snape told him the story that he had heard from the 3 people in his house and then McGonagall said it's not true and then Snape started to say something but before he could get a word in Dumbledore cut him off and said I trust Minerva's word and she's in their house so I deem her responsible to come up with a reasonable punishment. Harry, Ron, and Hermonie came back to the castle and they were on their way up to their dormitories when McGonagall said to them I need to have a word with the 3 of you. Where were you tonight during lights out? I am told by Snape who said that he heard it from Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle that you were spotted down at Hagrid's hut tonight is this rumor true? Harry tried to speak but no words came out. McGonagall started to lose her temper I want one of the 3 of you to tell me if this rumor is true. Hermonie spoke up about it and told McGonagall what Harry had found meaning the Marauders map and the story of how it just ended up in his lap. McGonagall thought that this was nonsense and gave all 3 of them detention and took 25 points from Gryffindor's house. Hermonie did not speak to the two of them at all for a while, because she was so upset with them about what happened. One day right before Christmas Holiday Harry and Ron approached Hermione to apologize but she didn't want to talk to them or hear it so she just walked off and gave them the silent treatment. Finally, once Hermione had cooled down after Christmas break she was ready to speak to them again. So the 3 of them spoke and made up and carried on doing research about the Marauders map in the library.
