Over the next few days, Jillian was pleased to see that Luna and Blaise seemed to be spending a bit more time together. She definitely didn't do anything to deter them. If Draco thought that Jillian was going to sabotage the friendship that was growing between Blaise and Luna, he had another thing coming.

"He's so nice."

Luna was with Jillian in the Ravenclaw common room, they were studying for an upcoming Transfiguration test. Luna was absolutely smitten with Blaise, and from what Jillian had experienced when she had seen Luna and Blaise together, Blaise was as equally smitten with Luna.

Jillian felt that she should warn Blaise though. She didn't think that Draco would try and do anything, but Blaise should probably be on the lookout just in case. She had slipped Blaise a message when they had been in Charms class, asking him to meet her in the trophy room at eleven that night.

At ten-thirty, Jillian snuck out of her dorm. The common room was empty thankfully, and Jillian didn't run into a single soul as she made her way towards the trophy room, which she was kind of surprised by. With the escape of Azkaban inmate Sirius Black, the prefects had decided to increase their patrols of the halls. Jillian had heard some talk of Sirius Black, he had killed like, thirteen people, had blown up an entire city block. Some people thought that he should rot in Azkaban for the rest of his days, but others, such as Hagrid, thought that Sirius Black had been framed for this and that the real person responsible was still on the loose.

Jillian reached the trophy room without trouble, and found Blaise there waiting for her.

"What's this all about?" Blaise asked her. "You weren't very informative in your letter."

"It's about Draco," Jillian explained, causing Blaise to sigh a bit. "What's he done now?"

"It's not what he's done, but rather something that he might do. He's noticed how much you and Luna have been hanging around each other lately, and he doesn't like it. He wanted me to try and get you two to not see each other quite so much, said that if I didn't do it, he would tell your mother about it. He hinted that your mother might do something to hurt you."

"My mother wouldn't harm me…" Blaise said in a quiet, confident voice. "But I cannot say the same for Luna. I am one of the few people that my mother cares about besides herself. But she doesn't know who Luna is, she doesn't give a damn about her. But if it were something that might tarnish the reputation of my family's name, she would take care of it in a heartbeat. Luna is...she's different than most of the girls that I've come across. I've never seen her judge anyone, and she has a...unique way of thinking. She told me how you and her go Nargle hunting every weekend, are...are Nargles actually real?"

Jillian giggled softly. "If they are, I haven't come across any yet. She's certain that Nargles exist though, and I'm inclined to believe her. Everyone else says that she's crazy, but Luna is incredibly smart, and, I don't know, maybe she's able to tap into some supernatural sense or something like that, but she senses things that we don't. She's special, and I'm going to do anything that it takes to make sure that she stays safe."

Blaise bit his lip. "Maybe it would be best that Luna and I didn't hang out anymore-"

"No Blaise, that's exactly what Draco wants. You have to show him that he doesn't scare you. "

"But he does scare me. I'm scared that something is going to happen to Luna, and all because I'm friends with her."

"Blaise…" Jillian put a hand on his shoulder. "Draco is the way that he is because he thinks that he can get his way with everything and that everyone will bend to his every whim. If we show him that we aren't going to listen to him, maybe we could knock that ego of his down a peg or two. I'm going to spend every second that I can with Luna. She's safe when she's in the common room or the dorms, but whenever she's in the halls, if she isn't with you, then I won't leave her side. Truth be told, I think that Draco is scared of you Blaise. If he wasn't, then he would have come to you directly and threatened you, instead of making me the middle man. What he didn't count on is that I'm fiercely loyal when it comes to my friends, and I'll do whatever it takes to protect them. I may not be the best at standing up for myself, but it's a different story entirely when it comes to my friends, especially Luna. She was the first friend that I made here at Hogwarts, and I'll be damned if I let some prat like Draco Malfoy be the reason that she gets hurt."

Blaise stared at Jillian for a moment. "Luna is lucky to have someone like you as a friend. I would give anything to have someone as loyal as you for a close friend."

Jillian blushed a bit. "Luna was the first one that was willing to give me a chance. I was a loner when I first came to Hogwarts. I don't have the best home life, so I thought that the best thing to do would be to just push everyone away so that I wouldn't be able to get hurt again. But Luna was persistent. Long story short, without her, I honestly don't know where I would be-"

A meow cut Jillian off. She and Blaise both turned to see Mrs. Norris looking at the both of them before running off.

Blaise cursed under his breath. "Looks like we're going to have to cut this meeting short, she'll be returning with Filch in a moment."

The two students parted ways, Blaise heading for the dungeons, and Jillian making her way back to Ravenclaw Tower. She could sense something blossoming between Blaise and Luna, and if she could, then Jillian was going to try and help it blossom into fruition. More than anyone, Luna deserved to be happy, and Jillian was going to make sure that she got that happiness, one way or the other.
