Unusual Circumstances
What if Harry discovered something unusual about himself on that eventful night in his third year.
Had this in my head for some time
The only thing he really remembered wanting to do was to help his godfather or rather dog father help keep the were-wolf away from his friends. He thought about how his father had been an Animagus a Stag to be more specific and how it allowed him to help his friend through this tough time as he did, he felt a shift in his body his body stretching and bone structure changing it was a weird one to be sure. Once the feeling had faded, he ran in the direction in which the wolf and the dog had disappeared ignoring the shouts of the potions master and his friends. The last thing he remembered was being human again and seeing someone cast a Patronus which scared away the dementors.

He woke with a faint buzz in his ears and the sound of Hermione's voice she sounded upset "Harry your awake listen they've captured Sirius and also how did you become an animagi it takes years"
Harry only caught a few words of what his friend said "sorry did you just tell me I was an Animagus what exactly happened last night I remember this feeling then the dementor attack"
"Harry you really don't know last night you transformed into a Stag" Hermione told him. Harry didn't really know how to respond to that
Time Skip
Harry and Hermione stood with Sirius as they said goodbye and Harry decided to ask Sirius something that had been bugging him "Sirius, exactly how am I an Animagus if I have never studied it" Sirius gave a bark of laughter at his godson's question making him sound rather doglike.
2That's something I would like to know too" Hermione said. Sirius looked rather red at this unsure of how to really respond so settled for
"Well Harry um your parents were quite an experimental couple I believe when it came to their love life. They must have decided to explore with er bestiality but in the animalistic way, I believe that you must have been convinced around then. People like you are rare Harry you are a natural born Animagus"
Harry took in the information Sirius had just given him on one had it explained why he was able to turn into a stag but it also made him feel rather awkward at knowing so much about his parent's love life. Sirius let out another bark of laughter "don't worry Harry it grossed me out too when they told me, when thing's settle down, we'll go for a proper run, goodbye Harry I'll write soon" with that he took of into the night's sky.
"See Harry you really are you unique" Hermione said with a giggle at seeing how creeped out her friend was. Before they headed back to the hospital wing as the clock started to chime again.
