AN: Just a few things. I'm posting the last two chapters in one go because I finished them both in one go. Please don't hate on me for this one. I'm just going to do the Author's Note for both chapters in this one cause why not. Also it saves me work, and I'm lazy as hell. This chapter isn't as long as I'd hoped it would be, but it's good enough for me. The next chapter is pretty short, but I also felt it was better leaving it short, just as a personal preference.
Yesterday and today, the two days I mainly used to write these last two chapters, have been two sad days. On a good note, big big big enormous colossal thank you to everyone who has stuck with this and all, it was honestly better than I expected for my first fanfiction and I've learned a few things, so thanks to everyone who helped me out. I'm probably not going to ever come back to edit this or anything, but I'd love for you all to check out my other two one-shots and I have two more fics that should be coming soon!
(The reason I do a U_U at the end of every AN is because that is what I titled the google doc I wrote this on... it was the only decent-looking emoji-thing whatever they're called. :D)

"Where is Hermione? I mean, she wouldn't even let us drag her dress shopping and now she isn't even here to get dressed. This Graduation Ceremony is extremely important."
"You say that about anything you can wear a dress for, Pansy," Daphne replied absentmindedly.
"It's not like it isn't true!"
Daphne just hummed, not taking a side.
"Well, anyway, where is that girl?"
"I'm pretty sure she's considered a woman now. And I'm sure she'll be able to put makeup on by herself. She'll be fine, stop your incessant mother henning."
Hermione, in fact, was doing perfectly fine. She was getting ready with Ginny in the Gryffindor Dormitory. After she had made up with the boys, it didn't take long for them to make up, especially seeing as they hadn't really had a falling out. Ginny had always understood pain and sorrow and change, ever since the circumstances of her first year.
Ginny had bought a beautiful sage green dress with sheer off-shoulder long sleeves. It reached the floor and had white embroidered designs in the skirt. The color really brought out her eyes. Hermione helped her out with her hair, putting it into a half-up half-down and curling it. Her makeup was more natural, just lip gloss, blush, and clear mascara. She wore diamond earrings and a matching pendant. Harry would be head over heels when he saw her.
Hermione wore a royal blue dress that flared out at the waist a bit and had a slit up the left leg. The back was open and covered in a few criss-crossing over it, and the front had glittery silver designs with rhinestones. Her hair was left in loose waves with a side pinned back slightly with a rhinestone and sapphire hairpin. Her jewelry was similar to the hairpin, with dangly earrings and a necklace with three circular sapphires on a silver chain. Her makeup was nude lipstick, light blush, and a bit of silvery eyeshadow.
When they were sure that they were completely ready, they linked arms and headed out of the dormitory and straight through the common room. Harry, Ron, Draco, and Luna were meeting them in the entrance hall. The six of them were going to sit together, and she was pretty sure that Pansy, Blaise, Theo, and Daphne were going to sit near.
The Great Hall had been changed for the Graduation Ceremony. The platform where the teacher's table usually was only had a podium now. Chairs filled the rest of the Hall, with an open aisle in the middle. Their little group chose to sit in the chairs on the left side around the middle. Draco on the end beside Hermione, then Luna, Ron, Ginny, and finally Harry. They were one of the earlier ones, though her Slytherin friends turned up soon with Gregory Goyle, Millicent Bulstrode, and Tracey Davis in tow.
When all the seats in the Hall were filled up, the platform had a little more furniture. To the right of the podium were several chairs with a wooden stool beside each one. On the stool was a box, and there were exactly as many chairs as teachers. McGonagall stood behind the podium, and when the doors closed at precisely ten, she began to speak.
"Ladies, gentlemen, teachers, and students, welcome to the Graduation Ceremony of the class of 1999. This year has been full of struggles as we grew from the pains of our past, and we all turned out better for it. I am extremely proud of these students, and I know that the teachers beside me share the sentiment wholeheartedly. Today is a celebration of that. The agenda for today is simple. In alphabetical order I will call up each student, who will be presented with a certificate from each teacher they had this year. They will come up from the right side. When they reach me, I will give them an official diploma marking their graduation. This should take about an hour and half, after which we will set up a photo booth for anyone who wishes to utilize it. We will have lunch during that time, and after lunch the Graduation Ball will commence. Drinks and finger food will be set up on the left side of the Hall during that time. Are there any questions?"
No one had any questions.
"Very well. We will begin with Hannah Abbott."
The Ceremony really did drag on. Hermione was the first of her group of friends to go up onto the platform, though Daphne went right after. Blaise was not happy about being last, even if his company was Ron and Ginny.
McGonagall gestured for them all to stand before conjuring tables and chairs and a photo booth along the left wall. With a swish of the Headmistress's wand, menus and plates appeared in front of each person.
"I'm guessing it's the same shit as fourth year?" Hermione said.
"I think so."
Draco looked at his menu, and Hermione did the same. This time, the cuisine was much more widespread, with Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Indian, South American, Mediterranean, and seafood options instead of the usual options they had for meals and such.
"Hermione? Hermione, what exactly is going through your head? I know that look…"
She grinned, and told her plate, "Cheese pizza with mushrooms and… strawberries."
It appeared, and Draco resigned himself to his fate. She may or may not have been extremely proud of that.
She practically moaned when she tasted it. "Fuck, Draco, this is delicious. You should try some."
He scrunched up his nose. "I'll pass, thanks."
She shrugged. "Your loss, dude."
She ordered another slice of the heavenly pizza, then ordered lemonade and buttered noodles, because why the hell not. Draco settled for pork chops and mashed potatoes. However, Hermione managed to persuade him to try cherry soda. And afterward, they shared a devil's food cake. Which was very delicious.
When everyone had finished lunch, the tables were cleared and the Great Hall was turned into something similar to the Winter Ball earlier that year, minus any winter-y decorations. Hermione was content to discreetly grab some red wine and savor it. Draco headed over to his friends and they hung out in a corner, but Hermione didn't go join them. Her wine was a priority. She could chit-chat later.
When she finished her glass, she saw Draco heading toward her.
"Care for a dance?"
She smiled and took his hand and he led her to the dance floor. The music was slow, and she saw Ginny and Harry, Daphne and Theo, and for some reason, Ron and Luna dancing together. The last one wasn't going so great, with Ron's inability to dance and Luna's tendency to dance to a different piece of music playing in her head. Everyone stayed clear of them, preferring not to be bumped into.
"You look amazing, Hermione," Draco breathed.
"And you look extremely handsome, Draco," she told him in the same tone. He spun her, pulling her back in and dipping her low, leaving her breathless. His eyes were soft and his movements gentle and she found herself somehow more entranced by him than she usually was.
They danced, smiled on their faces that would stay in her memories forever.
When the song ended, Draco pulled her aside, leading her to the corridor outside the Hall.
"Draco, what is it?"
He looked her in the eye and got down on one knee, pulling a ring box out of his jacket pocket, and her hands flew to her mouth, her eyes widening.
"Hermione, I know, this feels fast, but I love you, more than anyone or anything else in the world. I feel like my entire life before this, before us, has been incomplete. Will you do me the honor of marrying me?"
He was right, it did feel fast. But she couldn't even imagine saying anything other than —
"Yes! I would love to marry you, Draco!"
He grinned up at her and slid the ring on her finger before she pulled him up and kissed him happily, unable to disguise the joy. This, it felt right. And she was delighted to keep it that way.
The ring was beautiful, too. It was silver and a willowy shape with a circular sapphire in the middle and two smaller circular emeralds on either side.
"Sapphire for your birthstone, emeralds for Slytherin. It also happens to be a family heirloom."
She gaped at him. "You didn't."
"I did."
She kissed him again. "I love you so much, Draco Malfoy. So fucking much."
"I love you, too, Hermione. How about a dance, to celebrate our engagement, before we both go crazy from thinking about wedding planning?"
Hermione groaned. "Damn, I forgot about that."
Draco simply snickered and led her into the Great Hall.
