Wolf Lodge
"Sanny," Brittany sweetly says sitting next to her wife.
"What do you want now?" Santana asks weary whenever her wife pulls out her old nickname Sanny.
"I was thinking that we could go to Great Wolf Lodge." Brittany softly says.
"What's Great Wolf Lodge?" Santana asks still weary but thinking this might be a place she'd like.
"It's an indoor water park slash hotel." Brittany happily says pulling up the website. "I think it would be a great place to bring Spencer since she's only five and there's plenty of things geared towards little kids."
"Are there things that won't bore me to death and is there alcohol?" Santana asks.
"Yes to both," Brittany says. "Trust me, you'll like this place."
"Fine, we can go." Santana says smiling when her wife tackles her, kissing her deeply.
"You'll enjoy it as much as Spencer." Brittany promises.
Brittany ends up booking them for a long weekend a few weeks later. They arrive, Friday midday and won't be leaving until Monday afternoon. Santana is still skeptical that she'll like it, but as always she can't say no to her wife plus her daughter is super excited to be here.
"So big," Spencer says looking up as they walk in.
"Spencer don't wander." Santana says grabbing her arm and pulling her back before she gets run over by another family. "Watch where you're going." she growls at the other family.
"San," Brittany says not wanting her wife to get into a fight the minute they arrive.
Santana follows Brittany over to the front desk with Spencer in her arms so she won't wander away again. She stands there and waits as her wife checks them in.
"Are you excited Spenc?" Santana asks her daughter.
"Yes, mama showed me all the different things I can do." Spencer happily says.
"She did," Santana says. "Well then you probably have a whole list of things you want to do."
"I do," Spencer happily says hugging her mami's neck.
"Follow me," Brittany says holding their room cards in her hand.
Santana carries Spencer while Brittany gets the bags. They head up to the fourth floor and down the hall to the end. They walk in and Spencer squeals leading out of her mami's arms and heads straight into the small cave that surrounds a bunk bed and TV.
"I LOVE THIS!" Spencer shouts.
"I think Spencer likes the Wolf Den Suite." Brittany says setting their bags on the couch.
"And you still managed to get us a Queen sized bed." Santana says giving her a kiss. "Plus a balcony, I love you so much." she says more excited about the balcony as she just loves them.
"I do try to get us nice rooms." Brittany says smiling.
"Well, it's very much appreciated by me." Santana says.
"Pool?" Spencer asks coming out with just her underwear on.
"Come on honey, I'll help you get your swimsuit on." Brittany says smirking at how alike their daughter is to Santana.
A half hour later the three of them are ready to head the pool. Spencer has on her unicorn one piece and is wrapped in a unicorn, swim robe. Santana is wearing her more conservative red two piece that has small red trunks with a top that completely covers her boobs. She's never worn a swimsuit that covers this much but decided this being a family place she shouldn't wear her normal barely cover swimsuits. Brittany is also wearing a more conservative swimsuit as well, she's wearing a light blue one piece forgoing her normal two piece suits.
"I can't believe that I'm wearing this thing." Santana whispers as Spencer happily skips in front of them.
"I think you're hot still." Brittany says leaning into her wife.
"Of course I am." Santana huffs before her face goes soft as she says, "You look amazing."
"Thanks Sanny," Brittany happily says.
Santana stops Spencer right before they head into the waterpark.
"Remember that we're going to be here for three days so you don't have to do everything today, okay." Santana says.
"Okay," Spencer says.
"Stay near us," Brittany adds.
"Yes mama," Spencer says bouncing, itching to go in.
"Come on," Santana says and the three of them head in.
Spencer stares in awe at all the fun stuff in front of her. She doesn't know where to start.
"I got us a private cabana." Brittany says directing them to it.
"You are the best wife in the world." Santana says so relieved.
"I know," Brittany confidently says.
"Mami, I want to go over there." Spencer says pointing to a little kid pool.
Santana grumbles about having to get wet but goes with her daughter over to the Cub Paw Pool. Spencer quickly makes friends with a couple other kids in the pool area and they start running around. First they go down the slides several times, laughing as they splash each other. They use the different water cannons to shoot each other. Santana enjoys watching them all play especially since she doesn't have to get wet. Keeping an eye on Spencer, she makes her way back to cabana which is very close to the Cub Paw Pool.
"Looks like she made new friends." Brittany says.
"Thank god, I wasn't looking forward to getting wet." Santana sighs, sitting down next to her wife.
Spencer and her new friends make their way over to another child slide called the Whooping Hollow and they start playing tag through it. At the age of five, Spencer is a good swimmer though currently they haven't gone into water that's higher than her waist. Looking over at her parents, her mama nods at her letting her know she's okay.
"Let's go over to that." Spencer says pointing to Fort Mackenzie. "It will be more fun to play tag on."
All her new friends agree and they head over to the water tree fort. Brittany gets up and makes her way over to the fort which is farther away from their cabana and they don't have a good view of it. Santana stays at the cabana, laying out sipping a beer. Spencer and her friends take over the fort, playing with all the interactive things on the fort. A bell rings about ten minutes after they get to the fort and a gigantic bucket of water, dumps a shit ton of water on them.
"That's hilarious." Santana laughs coming over to join her wife.
"It didn't seem to faze them at all." Brittany says smiling.
Shortly after the group heads over to the Big Foot Pass and start jumping from one pad to the next. Spencer makes it half way across before falling in. Slowly the group starts to shrink as the other kids parents call them to leave.
"I'm hungry mama, mami," Spencer says coming over now that all her friends are gone.
"I'm hungry too." Santana whines.
Brittany rolls her eyes at her daughter and wife. "Let's go get something to eat."
They eat at the Lodge Wood Fire Grill that thankfully Brittany had made a reservation for as she knows her family well. Santana and Spencer stuff themselves full as Brittany shakes her head at them. They are so alike.
"I don't think I can move, I'm so full." Santana moans.
"Back to the room?" Spencer asks.
"Since you two obviously can't do anything else." Brittany says paying so they can leave.
About a half hour after they get back to the room, Spencer has recovered from her food coma. Santana is passed out on the bed.
"Mama, can we do something? I'm bored." Spencer says.
"How about we go to the arcade." Brittany suggests.
"Yes!" Spencer shouts.
Santana grumbles turning over, but not waking up.
"Let's not wake up mami." Brittany softly says quickly writing a note for her wife before they head to the arcade.
"Mama, tomorrow can we go on big slides?" Spencer asks.
"Of course, we'll do whatever you want honey." Brittany says.
Once they get to the arcade Brittany loads up two cards for them. If there's one thing Brittany loves (aside from her family) it's arcades. Spencer bounces around from game to game. Brittany who's extremely good at rapid play games sets herself up in front of a coin rapid play game that she tries to land an arcade coin in the jackpot spot on the spinning wheel. The spot is the size of a coin. Each coin she puts in increases the jackpot which is currently over a thousand tickets. Every coin she drops is winning some tickets but she's determined to get the jackpot. She's just rapidly putting the coins in, not aiming. Spencer is currently playing a jumping game that she has jump when the lights get near her feet. It slowly speeds up, she gets to fifty jumps before failing.
"Mama, are you winning?" Spencer asks having spent all the money on her card. "I need more money."
"Hold on honey….." Brittany trails off as she finally hits the jackpot spot.
"You won!" Spencer shouts jumping up and down as the machine goes off.
"Here you honey, you can use what's left on my card." Brittany says handing the card to her daughter.
"Thanks mama," Spencer says before running off to play more games.
"I see you won." Santana says having just arrived.
"I did," Brittany says smiling at her wife.
"How much did it cost me for you to win?" Santana asks knowing how her wife can a shit ton of money at an arcade.
"Not as much as your daughter who's now playing other games." Brittany says still waiting for all her tickets to come out.
Santana shakes her head, heading deeper into the arcade to see what trouble her daughter is getting in.
Two hours later, Santana finally corrals her wife and daughter and gets them to head back to their room. Mostly because it's nearly 11 pm and the arcade closes at 11.
"That was so fun." Spencer says hugging the five giant stuff animals she got for turning in the tickets her mama won.
"Yes, but now it's time for bed." Brittany says yawning.
"I don't wanna," Spencer yawns.
"Trust me the sooner you fall asleep the sooner it will be morning and time to go play again." Santana says also yawning.
Back in the room, the minute Spencer's head hits the pillow she's sound asleep.
"Tomorrow we should take her to do that MagiQuest thing before going back to the water park." Brittany says getting into bed.
"Whatever you want." Santana says snuggling herself into bed.
Santana swears she was only asleep for a minute before she's woken up by Spencer jumping on the bed.
"Wakey, wakey, mami!" Spencer shout jumping up and down on Brittany's side of the bed.
"Five more minutes." Santana says trying to ignore her hyper daughter.
Spencer may act like Santana most of the time but she has the same energy level as the blonde.
"Santana, get up it's already nine." Brittany says handing her a cup of coffee. "We brought you a plate of breakfast."
"You two already ate?" Santana says waking up now.
"Yes, we also paid for the MagiQuest's wand and game so Spencer can now play." Brittany says.
"We have to search the lodge!" Spencer shouts all smiles.
Santana grumbles as she gets up but seeing her daughter so happy is worth getting up early.
"What quest are we on?" Santana says after drinking her coffee.
"We're searching for a pirate who stole from the Duke." Spencer happily says.
For two hours they search the lodge/hotel for clues. Spencer points her wand at the clue and the next part of the story starts to play. It then gives a clue to the next spot. Santana is surprised at how thought out this game is and how hard some of the clues seem to her. Of course her beautiful wife doesn't have any problems figuring out all the clues quickly though she doesn't tell Spencer, letting her figure it out on her own.
"Found the pirate!" Spencer shouts waving her wand and the story comes to an end.
"Great job honey," Santana says.
"They have other quests if you want to do another." Brittany offers.
"Let's go to the waterpark." Spencer says.
"Okay honey, we can get another quest later if you want." Brittany says ruffling her daughter's hair.
They get changed and head into the water park.
"We should go down some of the big slides." Santana suggests since they didn't go down any of them yesterday.
"Can we?" Spencer happily asks.
"Of course," Santana says not caring if Spencer doesn't reach the height requirement, she'll make sure her daughter gets to go with them.
Brittany does a little dance, clapping her hands so happy. She loves going on rides with her family.
"Let's go on Alberta Falls first." Brittany suggests seeing that the height requirement is 42 inches which Spencer is just over 42 inches tall.
"Can we go on all of them?" Spencer asks as they get in line.
"Yes, we will." Santana confidently says.
Brittany closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. She can already see the fight that will happen when they go to get on Howlin' Tornado. She shakes her head, getting those thoughts out of her head. She's going to enjoy these slides before they get to the Howlin' Tornado.
"This is so fun." Spencer says bouncing as they get close to the top.
"Don't overreact when they ask to measure Spencer." Brittany softly whispers to her wife.
"I won't, so long as they let her on." Santana promises.
Thankfully when they get to the front of the line, the worker has Spencer stand next to the measuring board and then lets them through.
"One of you has to ride down with her." the other worker says giving them a two person tube.
"We'll go down together." Santana says getting in before Brittany helps Spencer get in the front.
"Don't let go of the handles." the worker says. "You can go."
Spencer screeches as they push off down the slide. Santana tries to rock them so they'll gain some more speed.
"Woot!" Spencer shouts as they reach the bottom.
"That was fun." Santana says helping Spencer out of the pool.
Up top, the worker gives Brittany the okay to go.
Brittany takes a bit of a running start before throwing herself onto the single tube. She goes down face first, grinning and laughing the whole way. She splashes into the pool at the bottom before swimming over to her wife and daughter.
"That was a blast." Brittany says when she reaches them.
"Can we go again?" Spencer asks.
"Don't you want to try the other slides before we go down again?" Santana asks.
She really wants to go down the really big water slide, but as always she'll do whatever her daughter and wife want.
"We'll can come back after the other slides?" Spencer asks her moms.
"Yes," Brittany reassures her.
"Okay," Spencer says.
Next they wait in line to go on the River Canyon Run. Again when they reach the top, the worker has Spencer stand next to the height board before letting her through.
"Hold on to the side handles." the worker says.
Brittany gets into the large tube first holding it in place as Santana helps Spencer in and then gets in herself. They wait for the worker's okay before Brittany pushes them off.
"Here we go!" Brittany shouts as they rocket down the slide, going up the side a bit.
Spencer is on her knees, holding on tightly to the handles. Brittany tries to keep Spencer facing forward knowing that her daughter is enjoying being in the "front". Santana is having a blast again, letting go of the handles she lifts her hands in the air giving a shot of joy.
"That was more fun than the last slide." Spencer says once their out of the pool at the bottom.
"Yes it was, let's see what this last one is like." Santana says so excited to try it out.
Spencer is bouncing she's so excited to try this last ride. As they move closer to the front of the line, Brittany is full of dread. She hates when her wife gets into arguments.
"San, you need to stay calm." Brittany whispers.
"Of course I'm calm, why wouldn't I be?" Santana asks wondering why her wife is saying this.
"Because Spencer is not tall enough to go down this slide." Brittany softly says trying to keep quiet so Spencer doesn't hear.
"She'll go down, don't worry." Santana says smiling at the thought of getting into an argument.
She loves to argue but hasn't gotten to do much arguing lately. None of the Gleeks have been by. She's never been able to argue with her wife or daughter.
"That's what I'm worried about." Brittany whispers mostly to herself.
Once they reach the front of the line, Spencer has to go stand in front of the measuring board.
"I'm sorry, but she's not tall enough to go down." the worker says.
"I say she is tall enough." Santana growls at the worker.
"We can't let anyone-"
Santana gets right in the face of the worker causing them to back up.
"I can't let anyone under 48 inches ride." the worker says gulping.
"Well, I'm her mother and I say that she can go down. She's not much shorter so you're going to let her go down or I'm going to shove you down without a tube." Santana says gripping the worker's shirt in her hands. "Got it?"
The poor worker is terrified and just nods.
"Good, come on honey." Santana says motioning Spencer to follow her.
"You'll….have….to…." the worker stutters.
"San, you'll have to go across from me." Brittany says getting in the four person tube first.
Santana puts Spencer next to Brittany and then gets in herself next to her daughter, across from Brittany. The worker gives them the okay and Brittany pushes them off.
"Don't let go of the handles!" Brittany shouts as their daughter as they rocket down the slide.
They're shot into the large cone, going far up one side and then sweeping across to the other side. As they go down the cone, their swings from side to side get less high heading towards the funnel end.
"Higher!" Spencer shouts holding on tightly to the handles to keep herself from coming off of the tube.
They're speeding up before being shot out of the cone and down the rest of the slide.
"That was so fun." Spencer says as they get out of the landing pool.
"By far the best slide." Brittany says.
"Let's go again." Santana says all smiles.
"Yes!" Spencer says taking off for the stairs.
"You just want to argue again." Brittany whispers.
"So what if I do, you saw how much fun our daughter had." Santana says.
Brittany just rolls her eyes at her wife. "I told you this would be a great place to come to."
"Yeah, you were right again." Santana admits as they get back in line.
