Prologue:

Several tappings on the window were what had woken up Hermione from her sleep. She looked around, adjusting to her surroundings and then spotted the parliament of owls that were knocking at her window, once at a time.

"What could be so urgent?" she mumbled, getting out of her bed, taking her mop of curly hair and tying it into a bun. It was pretty early in the morning, or you could say, it was pretty late at night because it was 3.30 am and Hermione was not ready for this. Wearily rubbing her eyes, straightening her old t-shirt and shorts she used as pajamas, she grabbed the owl treats she had in the nearest cupboard and wrapped a sweater around her before opening the window.

There were 3 to 4 owls outside, some she recognized from the ministry, one was Ron's, and another one from Neville. If she was not alarmed before, she was right now. The cold wind that entered with these owls had woken her up. Hermione immediately shut the window behind them and took the letters tied to their paws.

She opened Ron's first.

It was a howler. And Hermione was delighted she had been quick enough to open it. If it would have burst outside on the street, the other people would have cursed her, and they would have cursed her real bad.

"Hermione! Figured you wouldn't answer to my fireplace calls, so yeah, here I go. Nothing happened other than the Wizarding World being exposed!"

Hermione was shocked to hear the contents of the letter, a chill went down her spine as she registered his words. What had happened? What had gone wrong? The next letter would help, she thought as she almost was opening the letter by Neville, but it too, burst open.

"Hey, Hermione, there's been a crisis. Wizarding World got exposed. Some people wrote our stories, stories about us, and how we fought Voldemort! And a book is out, and we don't know how that information got out!? We don't know what to do, come by the ministry, immediately…."

" ," the next letter said, it was from the Ministry of Muggle Relations, "Your presence at the Ministry is required."

Hermione had already begun dressing up by then. Putting on her usual work clothes and a warmer jacket, she opened the window, letting the owls out.

"There has been a breach of information."

The letter continued as Hermione was trying to fix her hair in the background and not panic. One deep breath, two deep breaths, three…. That's all she kept telling herself. What was going on? Someone had written books on them? Breach of Information? About their battle with Voldemort? Given there were a lot of books like that in the Wizarding World but now in the Muggle World too?

"Ms. Granger, please establish contact with Mr. Harry Potter before heading to the Ministry. Please be accompanied by him and get here asap." another one of the letters spoke.

Harry must be the one feeling the worst. Wizarding Community just got exposed, through a story written about defeating Voldemort? That must feel awful. Hermione was in a state of panic as she stepped outside her apartment and turned a dark corner in the street to apparate to Harry's house.

"Harry?" she called out as she stepped inside his apartment. It was dark in the living room, so she continued to his bedroom. Knocking twice before entering, she saw Harry getting ready. Putting on his jacket. The letters that he had received were scattered in the corner. There were lots more than she had received.

She noticed that there was a copy of a certain book with the letters. Harry looked at Hermione and acknowledged her with a nod of his head. He noticed her gaze on the book in the pile of junk that had formed in his corner of the bedroom.

"Go ahead, read it, I know you want to." Hermione noticed an edge to his voice which contradicted the playful smile he had on his face.

"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone…" she read the title of the book, picking it up.

"Yeah, didn't even change my name for Merlin's sake…" he sat on the bedside with his head in his hands.

"Harry…" Hermione placed a hand on his shoulder.

"The Wizarding World is exposed, What the heck are we going to do?" his voice was muffled.

"We'll do everything we can to make this right," Hermione assured him as she informed him that they had to be at the ministry immediately. She did understand him being affected but didn't quite understand the gravity of the emotion or uneasiness he was showing.

Hermione opened the book she had in her hand as Harry got up from the bed and informed her that they would leave in two minutes. As she began to read the first page,

"Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much." This was, this was about Harry, it was something she had never expected to read. Harry must have read this, and even though relations with Dudley were almost great right now, remembering those old times with his uncle and aunt must have been so harsh on him.

Suddenly she understood his reaction. This was released in the Muggle World? Wizarding World was exposed, she understood that, but this was Harry's personal life being exposed.

This was much worse. This was some information even unknown to the everybody in the Wizarding World, Harry had always been so personal about this.

Their whole life was upturned. For the first time, Hermione dropped the book down, unwilling to read any more. She must be mentioned in that book too. What version of her had they played out?

And mainly, how did any Muggle know of this story? That meant someone from the Wizarding World had helped them. But who would betray the Wizards like this? Their existence was exposed. How was this going to work out for them?

Well, they would do something, they would work it out as they had every time in their life.
