It was coming down to days before the end of year feast. The great hall was glistening with sun and bright colored lights as students were packing up their dorms to get ready to go home for the summer. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were nowhere to be seen in between classes spending countless upon countless upon countless hours in the library doing research on Tom Riddle aka Voldemort and how the Marauder's map can only travel in time from famous person to famous person to famous person over and over again. They wished that they know and could be in the common room with the rest of their classmates and fellow dorm mates but they were just swamped knee-deep in their research that they had no time for quidditch or anything else. Harry finished the year on the quidditch team being the best seeker Hogwarts had ever had in ages. He still could not wrap his head around why Professor Quarrel had put a jinx on Harry's broom in one of the first matches of the year. He asked Hermione how she knew it was Professor Quarrel and not Professor Snape who was jinxing Harry's broom. Hermione answered that she saw him mimicking counter curses after Snape had tried to save Harry's life. Harry looked stunned and stood still with his mouth wide open for a minute before he spoke "Wait a minute Professor Snape that teacher who he thought had hated him the most
tried to save him from the jinx curse. Finally, it was the last night before the students boarded the Hogwarts Express to go home for the summer and the great hall was lined with streamers and candles and they had a magnificent feast. At the end of the feast Professor Dumbledore got up to award the House cup but before he could award the House cup he had a few last-minute points to give out. First off I would like to give 15 points to Miss Hermione Granger for being the most honest caring and well-deserving student by letting a prefix know a teacher was abusing his powers. Every at the Gryffindor table stood and clapped for her. Next, I would like to award 10 points to Mr. Ronald Weasley for being the best best friend and student that Hogwarts has ever had. Once again everyone at the Gryffindor stood up and applauded Ron. Professor Dumbledore continued and finally, I would like to give 35 points to Mr. Harry Potter for fighting the dark lord with his own wand and special powers. Once again everyone at the Gryffindor stood up and gave Harry a standing ovation. Now my fellow students it is time to award the House Cup and this year's House cup goes to Gryffindor House with a total of 33,742 points well done Gryffindor. With a flick of the wand from Professor Dumbledore, the great hall turned into a color of Scarlett and crimson banner and flag colors and everyone at the Gryffindor table was holding up Harry, Ron, and Hermione and screaming at the top of their lungs for what an amazing year it had been for all of them. Harry, Ron, and Hermione and the rest of the school woke early the next morning and headed to the train station to take the Hogwarts Express back home to their respective families. Ron and Hermione said that they would write to Harry to see how he was doing with the Dursley's throughout the summer and to let Harry and Hermione know when they could come to stay with him at the Weasley's house.
