Guest and MoonGirl1155: I worked really hard on the last story. I really liked it but I guess not many else did. It's a little discouraging. But thank you for reviewing. I really appreciate it.

"Night Falls"

"Have they left yet, Holiday?"

"Over an hour ago, Six."

"Do you think it's a good idea to let Caesar take Rex to Mexico like that? After all that's happened?"

"Six, we did a background check on Caesar and Rex's abuela. She's a harmless old lady. Besides this is a great opportunity for Rex to bond with his brother and maybe have some of his past come back to him. Overall, I only see positives."

"I suppose."

"Don't sulk, Six. Rex'll be okay. He can take care of himself."

"I need to get you a dictionary. You don't seem to understand the term sulk."

"Well, whatever you call what you're doing, stop doing it."

"Being concerned for Rex's safety?"

"Six, stop being a mother hen. Rex will be fine. He always has."

"Maybe I should follow them."

"And then what? Show up at a family reunion and introduce yourself as his handler?"

"They wouldn't even know I was there."

"Then what's the point?"

"If something does happen..."

"Nothing will happen. Rex will meet his abuela and maybe some childhood friends and maybe something will jog his memory."

"I can't believe White Knight allowed Caesar to take him."

"Well, Caesar is legally his guardian now. I don't think White has much of a choice."

"I'm sure he could have made up some bureaucratic red tape to keep them from going."

"Six, don't worry about it. Rex knows our numbers. He can contact us if there's a problem."

"Unless it was too late."

"You're a bowl full of sunshine, aren't you?"

"It pays to be pessimistic."

"Well, not to me. So what are you going to do with your free time?"

"What free time?"

"Six, you realize that this is a whole week without Rex."

"So?"

"So it means we have some free time."

"Again, free time is an illusion."

"Six, you didn't even notice Rex was in school several weeks ago. And that didn't bother you. But he's now officially going to be away. I'm sure you can find something to do… maybe catch up on your TV."

"I've told you before that I do not watch Spanish Soaps. I was just taping it for Rex."

"Well, then you can continue taping it for Rex while he's gone."

"What are you doing with your free time?"

"Oh, I think I'll do a little shopping."

"Shopping?"

"Yes, that's when you go out into stores and look for items you want to purchase."

"I know what shopping is, Holiday. What are you shopping for? We have everything we need here in Providence. The rest can be ordered."

"If you must know, I'm looking for a gift for someone. So no, I can't just order it. I'm not sure what I want to get yet."

"...Her birthday's coming up isn't it?"

...

"You know she doesn't even know what you give her."

"I'm aware of that, Six."

"So why..."

"BECAUSE it's the only normal thing I can do!"

...

"I...I...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to..."

"It's okay."

...

"When are you going?"

"What?"

"When are you going on this shopping trip?"

"I...I don't know. I was thinking of going this afternoon. You never know when White might have some assignment later in the week."

"True."

"Why do you ask?"

"Ahem, I was thinking that maybe I can join you."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Not that i don't appreciate the company, but why? You hate shopping."

"Maybe I want to expand my horizons and see what the latest trends are... Why are you laughing?"

"...Because that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard."

"It does sound a little far fetched."

"So why are you really coming?"

"...No reason. Maybe I'm just taking your advice and trying to have... fun."

"That's even more unrealistic."

"Fine, what reason would you believe?"

"Forget it, Six. You can come if you want and I'll chalk it up to a glitch in the universe."

"Fair enough."

"Let me finish up in here and then we can go?"

"That's acceptable."

"Then I'll see you later?"

"Later."

Again, sorry not a date. Beverly's birthday's coming up and he doesn't want her wallowing too much in her despair. So he's going to keep her company. And maybe secretly he likes to hang out with her.
