MoonGirl1155: Yeah, Six is thoughtful. Thanks for reviewing every chapter.

spektor vox: I wish! But you know Six would do the opposite just to spite you.

Guest: The next chapter has been the hardest to write. I've been writing these while waiting for my daughter during her ballet class. But lately all these people keep talking to me and I don't want to just say SHUT UP I'M TRYING TO WRITE AN INTEGRAL PART OF A FANFIC! So the next update may be a little late. I'm also trying to finish writing my season 6 ... and why do all these seniors need recommendations to college?

"Hard Target"

"I don't think Rex is coming back any time soon, Six."

"I knew I shouldn't have sent him to get dinner."

"It's not his fault. If Breach is involved, he'd have no choice."

"Did you know Circe was in Hong Kong?"

"…Um, no… why would I know anything about Circe leaving Van Kleiss…"

"What was that?"

"Nothing. I know nothing."

"At least our contingent in Hong Kong can take care of this."

"Well, the cafeteria's closed. It'll take an hour to go to town to the nearest 24 hour diner. I guess we're just going hungry tonight."

"... There is a small kitchen in the rec room."

"Six, you know I can't cook. Besides I've been banned from being in any kitchen on base."

"Not you. Me."

"You? Are you offering to make dinner?... For us?"

"Yes."

"I...I... Uh... I mean sure if you don't mind."

"I wouldn't have offered if I did."

"Oh, well, uh thank you then."

"Just don't tell Bobo."

"I won't."

"I don't need the monkey eating all the ingredients before I can even get it together."

"Of course."

"You coming?"

"You... You want me to come with you?"

"Well, it would be hard for you to eat it if you weren't there."

"Sorry, I guess I'm just a little surprised at the... suddenness of all of this."

"Didn't think I could cook?"

"No. I just never thought... Never mind. I'm coming, but I won't be much help."

"Wasn't going to ask."

"So... What are you going to make?"

"Whatever's in the refrigerator."

...

"What's so funny?"

"I was thinking about that cooking show, where the chef's are given random ingredients and..."

"Have to make something edible from strange or exotic ingredients?"

"You watch that?"

"I sometimes leave the TV on in the background while I work."

"Like you do for El Amor De La Pasion El Amor.?"

"I told you I was taping it for Rex."

"This is fascinating. So what else do you keep in the background."

"I know what you are implying and it's not true. It really is just background noise."

"Okay, don't have to be so defensive."

"That wasn't defensive. I was merely clarifying a false assumption."

"Whatever, Six."

"Looks like there's some leftover rice, frozen peas, eggs, and lettuce in the refrigerator. There's a can of Spam in the cupboard and packets of soy sauce."

"What on Earth can you make with that?"

"One's fried rice special."

"Sorry, what?"

"Someone I knew use to make this. You cut up the Spam and lettuce. Heat rice in the pan, scramble some eggs into it, throw in the Spam, soy sauce, and lastly the peas and lettuce."

"Wow, that looks… like a mess."

"Don't judge a book by its cover."

"I rarely do. Besides, I can eat anything…"

"Trust me. This is one thing that you won't need to force down."

"What do you think?"

"It's… actually… pretty good."

"Told you."

"Wow, Six, you're a really good cook."

"I'm a man of many talents."

"I didn't know cooking was one of them. I'm jealous."

"Anyone can make this."

"I don't think so. I'm sure I'd set it on fire or something."

"You just need to practice."

"Maybe… maybe you could teach me."

"I guess if we have time… wait… I'm getting a message from White…. I have to go to Hong Kong to pick up Rex…. Seems like he had an adventure during his pit stop."

"At least you got something to eat first."

"You can have the rest."

"I can't eat that much. I'll leave the rest in the fridge. You can reheat it when you get back."

"I'll see you when I get back."

"Sure. And send Rex in for a check up."

"Will do."
