Happy Thanksgiving 2015 to those in the States and Canada. Updating special for the special day. I am grateful for many things and one of them is all of you.
catharina: Hey, a new reviewer! Thanks for commenting! I really appreciate it. And yes, I had a hard time writing this chapter. I think all of Season 3 will be difficult to write since he never recovered his memories.
MoonGirl1155: ME TOO! (But if you read my season 6, I rectify that problem. Shameless plug for my other works.)
spektor: I literally used the same words you did when I wrote the ending AN.
smackedloved: Gracias por leer. No importa si ha sido un tiempo, estoy contento de que todavía lee mis historias. Yo también siento lo mismo que tú.
Guest: I know! I think they totally forgot he lost his memory. In the last episode, when Rex was talking to Six about his robot form, Six was talking like he remembered about his deal with White about terminating Rex before he can become that uncontrollable EVO again. But they never explicitly gave him his memories back in any episode.
Post-Six minus Six
"Hello."
"Oh, Six… I… I… didn't hear you come in."
"You disappeared after dinner. I thought you were going to help me remember more of my past."
"Oh, right, yes, um, I thought that the endeavor would be more effective if both Rex and I did it together. And since Rex had other things to do…"
"In other words, you don't want to be alone with me."
"No, no, that's not it at all."
"I may not remember the last six years but I can still tell when someone's lying to me."
"I'm not… It's… not that… I'm just not… comfortable… doing this alone."
"Why? Was it something I said?"
"Yes… I mean no… I mean… I'm just a little… confused right now."
"About what?"
"It's my problem not yours."
"Doesn't mean you can't tell me."
"It does. You don't need more problems to deal with right now."
…
…
"… Were we… together?"
"Excuse me?
"You know what I mean."
…
"It's not a hard question to answer."
"Look, Six this is already awkward enough. I think maybe we should just take it one day at a time."
"What does that mean?"
"You're not the same man you were and…"
"And that's a problem for you."
"Yes… I mean no. I… I…I mean it'll take a while for you to adjust to your new life which is really your old life."
"You mean it'll take you time to adjust to me."
…
"So what were we to each other?"
…
"Am I really so different that you can't even look at me?"
"…It's hard to explain. You look like you, you sound like you, but you don't act like you."
"Is that such a bad thing? From the sounds of it, I was a stick in the mud."
"Heh, you were anything but a stick in the mud."
"I got you to smile there."
…
"And it's gone... So tell me about the old me."
"You had an understated sense of humor, you acted cold but you cared about all of us. You risked your life countless times for us. You were kind, generous, and …. "
"You make it sound like I'd died."
"Maybe you did."
"What did you say?"
"Nothing important. Look, Six I'm very busy right now and I'd appreciate it if I could get back to work."
"You miss him don't you?"
"What?"
"You miss the man I was, don't you?"
…
"DON'T YOU?"
"Six, please…"
"I… I'm sorry. I didn't mean to… Don't cry."
"I'm not… I'm just tired."
"I promise, Rebecca. I will find that guy you miss so much. One way or another…"
"I…I've got to go. Good bye, Six."
"Good bye… Rebecca."
Sorry, there's no good way to end this. And we are back to square one with these two. I don't know what I'm going to do for season 3. I think they wanted to primarily focus on Rex so there were many episodes where only one or none of them show up in. Ugh, it's going to be so hard to write, but I'll try my best. Hope these are okay so far.
