"Oh, this is the band that Rex and Beverly went to see."

"It sounds awful."

"I know. Teenagers have no musical sense these days. It's just about how loud they can crank the speakers to."

"I'm surprised you let them go."

"Oh they were nagging and nagging."

"So you gave in?"

"Well, Beverly brought out the big guns... my parents."

"Your parents wanted Beverly to go to a rock concert?"

"With Rex."

"Why?"

"I guess she really connected with Rex. Mom and dad said Beverly was having a hard time adjusting... after missing three years of her life. They thought that this would be a nice normal thing for her to do. You know, before she turned EVO I was going to take her to her very first concert for her birthday, but it was going to be one of those boy bands she liked so much back then, very pop-y and innocuous. Not this loud and edgy stuff… Anyway, they convinced me to let her go."

"I suppose you can't say no."

"But I am checking up on them on a regular basis, told them not to drink anything but bottled water, gave them ear plugs… andplacedatraceronBeverly."

"… A little overkill don't you think?"

"No. Overkill is if I had you follow them."

"I… see… I'm not fond of what passes as music these days… But Rex has fought EVO's, I'm sure he can handle a little concert."
