Alena098:Спасибо за обзор. Вы единственный, кто написал что-нибудь. Я ценю это. Я почти сделал. Я надеюсь, вам понравилось это.
So it took me over a year to finish all the episodes of this series. Wow, I can't believe I'm done. It's been a crazy ride, full of self-doubt and writing during my daughter's dance lessons. I hope you've all enjoyed them. The characters will continue to talk in my head but they will be random and unfocused now that I have run through all the episodes. I'm going to have one more conversation to end on a high HOLIX note (as well as an even chapter). This conversation will take place after my Made-up Season 4. So if you haven't read that and don't want any spoilers you can skip the last chapter.
I do not own.
End Game Part 2
"Holiday? Where have you been?"
"Oh, Six. I guess I needed to get away from all the noise and people and… just let it sink in."
"What sink in?"
"That it's over. After six long years it's finally over... this war, the endless fighting to stay one step ahead of the epidemic, wondering who's going to go EVO next, everything… is over."
"I guess it would be more of an impact on me if I actually remembered the last six, I guess seven now... years. But from what I saw I don't know how you were able to hang on this long."
"Well, it was thanks to you."
"Me?"
"Yes, you found Rex and gave us hope."
"I don't know if that's what helped. Rex is the one who inspires hope."
"He does but… if it wasn't for you… who knows where he'd be right now."
"I believe you had a part in helping."
"Maybe a small part. Now I wonder…"
"About?"
"Well, Circe was right. Rex did put himself out of a job. But in a way, we're all out of a job… at least the job we use to do…"
"… Are you thinking of… leaving?"
"Hmm? Oh, I'm not sure what my new purpose will be…. But that will be a while. We still need to check to make sure the nanites stay stable, run some more tests on the former residents of the Petting Zoo before releasing them to the wild… I'm going to miss Blinky but he's probably staying put. Mel will be brought back to Florida's Everglades…"
"And then?"
"Then… I don't know. Maybe go into one of those research hospitals out East, or I can see if I can get a teaching job… I kinda liked helping Rex learn…"
"Or maybe you can stay here and help keep Caesar in check."
"What are you talking about?"
"The Committee has offered Caesar and his motley crew a full time position."
"To do what?"
"To get the nanities to do what it was originally intended for… helping people. And as far as I know they have accepted."
"Really? I guess they don't want me…"
"Actually, they want you to supervise them."
"Me? Why me?"
"Because you're the best person for the job."
"…Oh, uh… well, thank you but I'm not sure…"
"Outside of the original creators of the nanites, you have the most experience, the most knowledge, and the most breakthroughs. Plus you're the only one who can stand Caesar."
"Caesar? He is frustrating sometimes but you just need to know how to talk to him."
"You mean with a blow over the head?"
"Ha, no… and don't let Rex hear you say that. He seems to be on better terms with Caesar now that he's explained everything."
"A day late and a dollar short…"
"But at least we understand where Caesar was coming from now. Why he didn't feel he could trust us is another story."
"Hmph, you and Rex may have forgiven him but I think I'll hold it against him a little longer…"
"So I guess that means you're staying with Providence?"
"They have made some offers."
"And?"
"I told them that it's up to Rex."
"What do you mean?"
"Rex has been offered to continue his tenure here at Providence as its secret weapon."
"What? What does Caesar have to say about that?"
"He seemed fine with it. It keeps Rex near him."
"But Rex isn't a weapon! He's a boy who deserves to have a normal life after all he's been through!"
"Which is why I told them it's up to Rex. If Rex stays, then I stay. Someone has to keep him from getting killed… and I think you should stay to make sure he gets to be a teenager."
"… This wasn't really how I envisioned things to be…"
"And how did you envision it?"
"Oh, I don't know… I guess I've been stuck in danger mode for so long… I guess I didn't envision much… but I always thought that when this was over… I'd go back to my old life… not be apart of raising a teenager in a semi-secretive organization… except…"
"Except?"
"I don't know if I can go back. I've changed so much."
"We all have."
"I know, especially you… After losing your past six years, you're almost back to the same person you use to be…"
"So would that be a change in the reverse?"
"Don't confuse the subject. So I guess it seems the universe wants me to stay here."
"I don't know about the universe but I know Rex would want you to be his doctor… and I wouldn't mind if I had someone I can rely on around."
"…Uh, well… since you'd all be lost without me…"
"I know I would be…"
"The EVO alarm? There's no EVOs anymore. Why is the alarm sounding?"
"Hmm, seems Providence has been called in. Apparently, a giant robot is rampaging downtown."
"Are you serious? That's so… cliché."
"Rex and I have been called to help stop it. The first wave didn't do much to deter it."
"Let me see if I can get any information on the situation…"
"I've got to go."
"I'll be monitoring Rex's biometrics. I'll send you anything I learn about the robot."
"I know you will."
"Just like old times?"
"Just like old times."
The end... Not quite. One more unsanctioned episode to go...
