Hello everyone! Thank you for following, reviewing, and adding this story to your favorites! I have decided that yes, this story is definitely coming to an end. I think the next chapter will be the last chapter (other than a possible epilogue), and it will be a big one so STAY TUNED! I know that this chapter is kinda late, but school has me worn out, so I usually don't write until Thursday or after. Sorry! But thank you for sticking with me!

About TVD and TO: I was glad that they at least acknowledged Klaus' visit to Mystic Falls in both shows, BUT does it annoy anyone else how they still make it look like Klaus has some kind of feelings for Cami?! Ugh!

Ok, on to my lovely reviewers::

KlarolineKolenaDaroline: I hope these flashbacks are what you wanted! I understand what you mean about the Klaroline scene. I hope JP was just trying to trick us or something, because that was NOT closure! Caroline belongs with Klaus, so she needs to go to TO, in my opinion. :) Thanks for reading and reviewing! MsCindz: Thank you! And haha, it's okay! You can yell all you want! It was finally a Klaroline scene! It deserves excitement! And yes, I wish she would have at least talked to him before going back with her friends. Thanks for reading and reviewing! PerfectlyGoodHeart: You will be happy soon, then, I hope! haha, thanks for reading and reviewing!

Thank you again, everyone! Here's another chapter of fluff…I'm sorry that it's a little shorter than the others I've been posting lately, but I don't want to go any further than what I did for this chapter. You'll see why at the end! Happy reading…

Disclaimer: I do not own TVD, The Originals, or any of their characters.

Klaus woke up before Caroline the next morning. He was careful not to wake her as he climbed out of bed, deciding to surprise her with breakfast. He was usually the cook in the house, but he had been happy to let Caroline do the cooking since her accident instead of reminding her. He would happily eat burnt food if that meant having Caroline with him forever.

Klaus finished scrambling a few eggs, frying up some bacon, and forming perfectly round pancakes. He poured two glasses of orange juice before placing everything on a tray and carrying it into the bedroom. Caroline was still sleeping peacefully, her blonde curls splayed across her forehead. He smiled as he debated on whether or not to wake her, but decided that he didn't want the food getting cold before she ate it, so he placed the tray on the dresser before walking over to the bed.

He sat on the edge of the bed and gently brushed the curls from her face. "Caroline," he whispered. She stirred, but then became motionless again. He leaned down so he could whisper in her ear. "Wake up, sweetheart." He placed a kiss on her temple.

Caroline's eyes didn't open, but her lips formed into a smile. Klaus' mouth did the same before he began placing more kisses softly across her face, featherlight and quick. She giggled, his stubble tickling her face, and her eyes opened.

"Good morning, love." His smile reappeared.

"Good morning," she replied, but couldn't say anymore because his mouth quickly covered hers, which only caused her to laugh more. "I don't mind waking up like this."

"I must remember that, then."

"What smells so good?" Caroline pushed herself up so that she was leaning against the headboard.

Klaus walked over to the dresser and grabbed the tray with both plates situated on it. "I made breakfast." He held it up as if reinforcing his statement, and then made his way back to the bed.

Caroline's eyes lit up as Klaus placed the tray on her lap. She looked up at him. "You made this for me?"

Klaus chuckled. "Yes, Caroline, just for you."

Caroline took a bite of the pancakes. "Oh my gosh, Nik. These are amazing."

He laughed again. "I'm glad you like them."

They made small talk, laughing and enjoying each other's company, as they finished eating their breakfast. As Caroline listened to his laughter, she thought back to the first time she really began to notice Klaus.

Flashback~ Caroline's Memory

It was the beginning of her senior year when he first caught her attention. She had walked into The Grill with Elena, Tyler, and Matt after school, and they had taken a seat at their usual table. Caroline was sitting where she could see over to the pool table area.

Caroline had heard about the whole Mikaelson family moving into town, and she had the misfortune of already meeting Rebekah. She had seen Rebekah's older brother, Klaus, a few times, but never talked to him. He looked arrogant, always wearing that smirk that made him appear too confident. Today, for the first time, he also saw her.

Klaus was playing pool with his younger brother Kol. He was beating Kol, and Klaus couldn't help but rub it in. The waitress kept coming over throughout the game, asking them if they would like anything else to eat or drink. He knew she was flirting, and to be honest, it was starting to get on his nerves. However, his younger brother loved the attention, so he would keep his mouth shut. When he glanced up from the game, trying to ignore the desperate girl, his eyes landed on a smiling blonde sitting at a table with a group of friends. She was beautiful, full of life, and he could hear her laughter from across the restaurant. At the risk of sounding cheesy, he thought it was music to his ears.

Caroline glanced up, her line of sight just so happened to fall on him. She couldn't look away when his eyes met hers. Then, his signature smirk slid across his face, and Caroline felt a shiver go through her body. At the time, she thought it was because of how irritated he could make her with something as small as a crooked smile, and she had never even met the guy. But there was something about him, something that intrigued her, drew her in.

"Caroline?" Elena broke her best friend out of her trance.

"What?" Caroline's head flashed towards Elena, not realizing that she hadn't been paying attention to her friends.

"Did you want to go to the movies tonight?" Elena repeated.

Caroline's gaze shifted back towards Klaus, who was now making his way in her direction. Her heartbeat picked up. "Uh, yeah, sure," she replied, but her eyes were still on Klaus.

Klaus had reached their table, and much to Caroline's dismay, he stopped. His eyes never left Caroline. "I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Niklaus Mikaelson." He held his hand out for Caroline's.

Caroline's wide eyes shifted between her friends at the table. Elena and Matt looked just as surprised as she did, but Tyler looked annoyed. She could see the muscles tensing in his jaw. She looked back at Klaus, and reluctantly lifted her hand into his.

"I'm Caroline."

He placed a kiss to her knuckles. "It's nice to meet you, sweetheart."

Tyler cleared his throat much louder than necessary. "I'm Tyler." He threw an arm over Caroline's shoulders. "Her boyfriend."

"I'm sorry, mate. I don't remember asking you." Klaus' cocky smirk was back in place.

Tyler stood up, as if he intended on fighting with Klaus, but Caroline placed a hand on his forearm. Tyler glanced down at Caroline and saw the disapproving look in her eyes, so he sat back in his chair.

Klaus waited for Tyler to sit down, never intimidated. Then, he walked backwards making his way to his brother. "I'll see you soon, Caroline." His smirk was back in place.

Caroline didn't know how to react. She turned back to her friends, trying to pretend the whole encounter never happened for Tyler's sake. Despite her efforts, her eyes kept flashing back to Klaus, and she couldn't help but notice that a genuine smile never truly graced his face.

Present Day

Klaus tried to rub the furrow from Caroline's brow with his thumb. "Why do you look so worried?"

Caroline shook her head and smiled. "I was just thinking about something in the past."

"Another memory?" Klaus felt his hope growing.

"No, just a memory from the beginning of senior year. When you first spoke to me actually. Do you remember?"

"At The Grill. Of course, I remember. How could I forget such a monumental moment?" He smirked.

Caroline laughed, placed her hand on his cheek, and grazed his lips with her thumb. That smirk.

"Why would that have you looking so concerned?"

"I just remember how cocky you were." She laughed again as his expression changed to one of disapproval.

"I believe confident is a better word, sweetheart."

"Well, whichever word you want to use is fine with me, but I also remember how unhappy you looked." Her face turned serious. "It's just so good to hear you laughing."

He kissed her on the forehead. "I am always happy when I'm with you. Which leads me to my next question. What would you like to do today?"

"Nothing," she quickly replied.

"Nothing?"

She shook her head. "I would just like to stay here with you, if that's all right." She smiled as she wrapped her arms around his body, holding him close.

He pulled her closer into his side. "That sounds wonderful," he said, and then he placed a kiss to the top of her head.

"Maybe you could tell me a little bit more about when our relationship started." She cuddled into his side, happily wrapped in his arms.

"What would you like to know?"

"Well, you've told me about our first date and when you proposed. What about in between? When our relationship really started." She played with his free hand as she spoke.

"You mean when you finally decided to give me a chance?" He smiled at the memories, wishing he could just let her into his mind so she could see them for herself. Stories didn't do them justice.

"Sure."

Flashback~ After the first date

Caroline didn't know what to think when she got home from her first date with Klaus. She had halfway expected to have a terrible time. She didn't think they would have anything to talk about, but she was surprised when she found out that they did. She had actually enjoyed her date with him. Unfortunately, she had promised to give him a chance. If she had had a horrible time, she could have been done, cut him off, but no matter how much she wanted to, she couldn't do it. She had had a good date- no, a great date- with Niklaus Mikaelson. She sighed.

The next morning, she woke up, still surprised about how well the date went. She wondered how she could have anything in common with the man, but she mentally reminded herself about the saying opposites attract. She made her way downstairs to make a bowl of cereal, trying to get her mind on anything else. As she was pouring the cereal into the bowl, there was a knock on the door. She put the box down and went to answer it.

"Elena!" Caroline was surprised that her best friend was on the other side of the door. "What are you doing here so early? Did we have plans?" She searched through her brain, trying to figure out if she had forgotten something.

Elena laughed. "Caroline, it's only early to you. It's after eleven, and no we didn't have plans. I just wanted to come see my best friend. Is that alright?"

"Sure, come in." Caroline stepped to the side and let Elena enter the house.

Elena followed the blonde into the kitchen where Caroline continued to make her bowl of cereal. Elena scrunched her nose up in disgust.

Caroline rolled her eyes. "What's your problem?"

"Wouldn't you rather have real food?"

"This is real food, Elena." Caroline grabbed a spoon and began to dig in.

"Whatever you say." Elena took a seat on a bar stool. "Would you like to go shopping today?"

Caroline hadn't told Elena about her date with Klaus, and she was planning to keep it that way. Shopping would be a great distraction. "Do I ever say no to shopping?" Caroline smiled. "Give me twenty minutes," she yelled over her shoulder as she made her way upstairs to get dressed.

Elena and Caroline spent the entire afternoon shopping. Nothing was better at getting boys off Caroline's mind than retail therapy. After they were both loaded down with bags, Elena let Caroline know that she was starving. Caroline had to agree, her cereal not keeping her full any longer. Unfortunately for the girls, The Grill was the only place with decent food unless they left Mystic Falls, so that's where they ended up.

They had just gotten their meals when the bell above the door rang. Caroline glanced over to see who was walking in, and she immediately looked away when she saw Klaus, Kol, and Rebekah.

Elena saw the blonde's reaction. "What's wrong, Care?" She looked over at the door. "I know you don't like Rebekah, but don't you think it's time to just get over it? We aren't in high school anymore."

Caroline wished that was why she was looking away, but she couldn't tell her friend the real reason, so she kept her mouth shut. She hoped that Klaus wouldn't see her, but she wasn't that lucky.

"Hello, Elena." The familiar British voice said. "Caroline."

Caroline looked up to see Klaus' smirking face. She could have predicted that look before she even saw it. "Hello Klaus," Caroline couldn't keep her eyes on his.

"Elena, do you mind if I talk to Caroline alone for a moment?"

Elena looked at Caroline, both girls had wide eyes. "Um, yeah." Elena's eyes were still locked with Caroline's as she stood from her seat and walked away.

Klaus took the vacated seat. "How are you, sweetheart?"

"Don't you think it's a little soon to be giving me a pet name?" Caroline shot back, crossing her arms over her chest, trying to look irritated.

Klaus smiled. He expected Caroline to play hard to get. She wouldn't change just because of one date. "I'm sorry. I had the assumption that you enjoyed our date last night."

"Haven't you heard that you aren't supposed to assume?"

"Well, I haven't heard you deny it yet." Klaus continued to stare at her, making her feel even more uncomfortable.

Caroline tried to keep herself from squirming under his gaze. She forced herself to look into his eyes, and she felt a knot grow in her throat. It was much easier to pretend like she didn't care when she wasn't gazing into his blue eyes. A smile spread across his face, accentuated by his dimples. It was the first real smile he had given her, and she realized it was contagious. Her mouth formed into a smile and she shook her head, no longer keeping up her facade.

"You're terrible." She laughed.

"So you aren't going to deny that you had a good time with me?" He was stating it as a fact more than a question.

"I had a good time," she admitted.

"I'm glad. When can we do it again?"

Caroline couldn't help but laugh. "Who said I was going to go on another date with you?"

"You promised to give me a chance, love. I do believe that requires you spending time with me."

Caroline acted like she had to think about it, but everything inside of her was eager to spend more time with him. "Fine, a promise is a promise."

They both saw Elena walking back to the table, so Klaus stood up. He winked at Caroline before stating, "I'll see you tomorrow at seven." Then, he left to join his brother and sister.

Caroline couldn't wipe the smile off of her face, which resulted in her having to explain to Elena what was happening with her and Klaus.

Present Day

"And we were basically inseparable from then on," Klaus concluded his story.

Caroline wasn't surprised that she had fallen for him so easily. "Of course I had to play hard to get. I couldn't let you know that I had fallen for you so quickly." She smiled up at him.

"Of course not. That'd be too easy."

"I know that I haven't gotten all of my memories back yet, and it seems like it's been a while since any new ones have come, but I want you to know that I'm okay with that." She changed the conversation to a more serious one. She needed to get it off of her chest. "I would love to remember everything that has ever happened between us, but I'm okay with hearing it all from you if the memories don't come back. We will just make new memories."

Klaus looked down at the beautiful woman in his arms. If he had to tell her every detail of their relationship, he would. He would do anything for her. And as he was sitting there, holding her left hand in his right, he caught himself playing with her wedding rings. An idea popped into his mind. "If we are going to make new memories, we need to do it right."

Caroline looked up at him through her lashes. "What do you mean?"

"In your memories, we were never dating. Since you left the hospital, it is as if we have been dating now. If you have every intention of staying with me forever, there's only one logical next step," he explained.

Caroline's eyebrows shot up. "You mean?"

Klaus smiled. "Yes, Caroline. You deserve to have a wedding. One that you will remember if you never get your old memories back." He placed his finger under her chin and leaned down to brush a kiss softly against her lips. "Will you marry me, sweetheart?"

She threw her arms around his neck and buried her face into his shoulder. "Yes, Nik, yes! I would love to marry you again."

He held her body against his, excited to restart this part of their lives again.

"I love you so much," she told him before placing a kiss on his neck.

"I love you too, Caroline."
