I am so sorry! Here's my excuse, feel free to tune out if you don't care: I have been busy busy busy! When I finally get finished with my school week, I'm so exhausted that I go to bed early. Then some of my family was moving, and I just have a ton of stuff going on right now. I didn't want to rush this chapter because it was the last chapter, so I decided to wait instead of just uploading something. I think that it's probably a good thing that this is my last chapter. I will try to get an epilogue up, but it may be another couple of weeks, and I'm not going to make any promises because I don't want to break them. So if you're interested to see if I do end up posting an epilogue, please stay tuned. I have an idea of what I want to do.
Moving on… Thank you to every single one of you who have continued to follow me along throughout this story. Thank you to all of you who leave me lovely reviews. And thank you to every one of you who have hit those follow and favorite buttons. To my reviewers:

A few months later, Caroline was sitting at Elena's house with her arms crossed over her chest and her bottom lip jutted out. She had been pouting since the moment she walked, or rather was dragged, into Elena's house.
Two hours earlier
"Nik, are you hungry?" Caroline called out as she made her way into Klaus' studio. He had recently began getting lost in his art again, and Caroline couldn't have been any happier about it. She leaned against the doorframe and smiled at the sight in front of her.
Klaus was studying the painting in front of him as if a mistake was going to pop out at him at any moment. He was covered in splattered paint, and Caroline couldn't help but wonder how he could possibly get so dirty when he was painting on a canvas, but it never failed. Too engrossed in his work, he never heard her question.
Caroline walked up behind him, wrapped her arms around his upper body, and placed her hands on his chest. "I asked you a question," she whispered in his ear.
Klaus immediately put his brush down and took her hands in his, placing a kiss on each one before spinning around to face the blonde. "I'm sorry, love. I must have missed it."
Caroline smiled. "Should we be this relaxed the day before our wedding?"
"I don't see why not." He cradled her cheek in his hand and covered her lips with his.
She continued to smile against his lips. She didn't think it was possible to be happier than she was in that moment. The kiss grew more passionate. Klaus wrapped his free arm around her waist, holding her close to his body. Her hands tangled in the curls that rested on his neck as she stood on her tip toes. They were so lost in each other that Caroline completely forgot what she went into the room for. Unfortunately, they were brought back to reality when their doorbell rang.
Caroline sighed and fell back on her feet. "Seriously?!" She murmured, but it was loud enough for Klaus to hear.
He laughed and planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Can't we just ignore it?" She whined.
"It could be important." He stepped around her and made his way to the front door.
Caroline was slowly walking behind him, her face still portraying her disappointment. She grew even more aggravated when she saw who was at the door.
"Rebekah? Is something wrong?" Klaus' brow was furrowed in concern.
"No, dear brother, nothing is wrong. I'm just looking for your bride to be." Rebekah barged in the room.
Caroline and Rebekah had slowly been rebuilding their relationship. Caroline considered Rebekah a friend, and she had asked Rebekah to be a bridesmaid, but she didn't appreciate her just coming over uninvited, especially when it was an interruption.
"What do you want with me?" Caroline asked.
Rebekah grabbed her by the arm and began pulling her towards the front door.
"What are you doing?" Caroline tried to pull her arm away, but it was no use. The other blonde was stronger than her. "Rebekah!"
"You don't honestly think you can stay with the groom the night before the wedding, do you?" Rebekah had stopped moving, but she still had Caroline's arm in her grip.
Caroline rolled her eyes. "Rebekah, we are already married, remember?"
"Doesn't matter. My brother will not see you on the day of the wedding until you walk down the aisle. Now, come on." She started pulling again.
Caroline looked at Klaus, her eyes wide and pleading. "Nik? Do something!"
Klaus was trying to fight the laugh that was bubbling up inside. He shrugged. "I'm sorry, sweetheart. We didn't see each other until you walked down the aisle last time. This is basically your first wedding that you remember. We should do it correctly."
Caroline wanted to protest, but she knew that it was no use, not against those two. "Fine!" She almost yelled. "At least let me tell your brother bye." She dug her heels in the ground.
It was Rebekah's turn to roll her eyes. "Alright, but you only have one minute. Make it quick." She released Caroline's arm.
Caroline wrapped her arms around Klaus and laid her head on his chest. "I don't want to go," she whispered so only he could hear.
Klaus bent down and kissed the top of her head before replying. "I know, but it's just one night. I will see you tomorrow."
Caroline looked up at him, waiting for him to kiss her lips this time. When he realized she wasn't going to say anything, he did just that. When his lips left hers, he smiled. "I love you, Caroline."
"I love you, too."
"Oh, come on. You are going to see each other tomorrow!" Rebekah groaned.
Caroline stuck her tongue out at the younger Mikaelson and stormed out of the house.
"Real mature, Caroline!" Rebekah called as she followed Caroline out the door.
Klaus stood back and laughed at the whole scene.
Present Time
"Caroline, you have to stop pouting! It's even making me depressed." Elena sat down beside her best friend on the couch.
"Well if you would have left me at my house, I wouldn't be over here making you depressed." Caroline snapped.
"Oh, give it a rest, Caroline. I swear, if I didn't know any better I would think you were faking this whole memory loss. This was exactly how you acted when we kept you away from him the first time." Rebekah shoved a handful of popcorn into her mouth.
"Whatever," Caroline knew she was being ridiculous. She tried to push away her feelings, but she was just anxious for the next day. "What is Nik even doing? I bet he's bored without me there."
Elena and Rebekah laughed and shook their heads.
"What?" Caroline asked, feeling her frustration grow again.
"He's with Elijah and Kol." Rebekah stated.
Caroline glared at Rebekah. "Did he know about this?"
Rebekah shook her head. "I didn't tell him, but I'm sure he wasn't surprised." She sighed. "Caroline, we are just trying to give you a normal wedding, as if it were really your first one. Nik's trying to do the same. Please stop making it so difficult."
"Fine," she gave in. "What are we going to do then?"
"Wedding movies!" Elena and Rebekah yelled at the same time.
Caroline fought the urge to roll her eyes, and instead joined the girls in watching the movies and eating popcorn.
The next morning, Caroline woke up with a smile on her face. Not only was she going to get to see Klaus in a few hours, she was going to marry him. She jumped out of bed and ran to wake up her friends, but they were already awake and getting started with the day.
"Good morning," Elena smiled when Caroline entered the room.
Caroline looked around Elena's living room. It had been transformed into a salon. "What happened in here?"
"Well, you are going to have someone do your hair and your make up today. They are ready to get started as soon as you are." Rebekah responded.
Caroline felt tears forming in her eyes, but she blinked them away. She grabbed her two friends in a hug, squeezing them close. "Thank you for everything."
Caroline knew exactly how she wanted everything done, and she had planned it all in secret. She didn't remember their first wedding, but she knew it was perfect, and she wanted to recreate it. She asked the hair stylist to do her hair in the same sophisticated up-do that she had seen in all of the pictures. Then, she asked the make up artist to do her make up as close to the pictures as possible. She was amazed at how long it took to get everything finished, but while she was getting her make up put on, Elena and Rebekah were getting their hair done.
By the time everything was complete, it was already time for Caroline to put on her wedding dress. She walked into the bedroom, and stepped inside the white cloth. The dress wasn't the same one because she wanted to have the experience of dress shopping, but it was very similar. It was white and still had the mermaid style form to it. She purchased a veil that was similar in length as well. After the hair stylist pinned the veil into her hair, her friends and mother, who had joined them, all gasped.
"You shouldn't act so shocked," Caroline joked. "It's not like I haven't been married before."
Rebekah and Elena exchanged glances, both shocked at how identical she looked to her first wedding. Little did they know, that was Caroline's plan.
"You look beautiful, hon." Liz broke the silence, also stunned at the vision in front of her.
Caroline smiled. "Thanks mom." She turned to look at herself in the mirror.
When Caroline lifted the veil from her face she almost hit the ground. She saw the color drain from her own face and her palms became sweaty.
"Caroline? Are you alright?" Rebekah panicked, her arms extended towards Caroline in case she fell.
Caroline was quiet, unable to answer for what seemed like eternity. When she finally could, her eyes never left the image in front of her. "I'm fine. I just need to be alone for a minute."
"Are you sure?" Elena asked, the unease at leaving Caroline alone apparent in her voice.
Caroline nodded, and waited for the other ladies to leave the room. When she was alone, she sat on the ground, her eyes wide with shock.
She remembered. She remembered everything.
As she sat there, trying to recall memories to see if it was truly happening and fighting back the tears of happiness that threatened to spill, she thought back to one of her favorites.
Caroline's Memory~ Flashback
Klaus was about to drop Caroline off after their third date. Caroline was confused. She thought that he really liked her, but he still hadn't tried to kiss her. She had wanted to kiss him since their first date, so she didn't understand what was going on.
"What are you thinking about?" Klaus asked when he realized that she had gone completely silent on their car ride home.
She shook her head. "Nothing."
"That is not the face of someone who is thinking about nothing."
"It's just stupid. I don't want to talk about it." Caroline could feel the blush creeping into her cheeks.
"Whatever you are thinking about, you can tell me. I promise I won't think it's stupid." He sent her his signature smirk.
Caroline glanced over at him, and then looked out her passenger side window. She couldn't take it anymore. "Do you not like me?" She blurted out.
Klaus grew quiet, shocked by her question. When he didn't answer right away, Caroline looked over at him.
"Nevermind. Forget I said anything." She wanted to crawl in a hole. She felt like the car was suddenly moving a million times slower.
Klaus could see that she was embarrassed. "Of course I do, sweetheart. I wouldn't be dating you if I didn't."
Caroline still couldn't face him. "It took you too long to come up with that answer." She whispered.
He reached across the console and took her hand in his. "Caroline, I promise I'm telling you the truth. I was just surprised by your question. I had to fight to get you to even go on a date with me. I wouldn't do that for just anyone."
Caroline looked down at their entwined hands. "Then why haven't you tried to kiss me yet?"
Klaus smiled to himself, surprised by her bluntness, but pleased with it as well. He didn't respond. Instead, he pulled the car over on the side of the road, and Caroline's head snapped towards him, her eyes wide.
"What's wrong?" She asked, panicking.
He didn't answer. He stepped out of the car and walked around to her side. He opened the passenger door, took her hands in his, and pulled her out. She had to lay her hands on his chest to catch her balance, but she immediately tried to pull away. He wrapped his arm around her so she couldn't move away. He placed his free hand on her neck as he gazed into her blue eyes.
"I've been wanting to do this since the first day I saw you in The Grill."
She could hear the nerves in his voice and she couldn't help but smile. "Then do it."
She barely got her statement out before his lips were on hers. She could feel desperation behind his kiss, the passion, and it wasn't long before her arms were wrapped around his neck pulling him towards her.
Present Day
Caroline glanced back to her reflection in the mirror. She smiled to herself, deciding in that moment that she wasn't going to tell anyone. Klaus needed to be the first person to know, and that's how it was going to be.
There was a light knock on the door, breaking her out of her thoughts. "Caroline?" Elena called through the door.
"You can come in."
Elena stuck her head around the door. "It's time to go, Care. Are you ready?"
Caroline smiled. "Yeah, I'm ready."
She was more than ready to see her husband.
Caroline, Elena, Rebekah, and Liz arrived at the Mikaelson mansion. Caroline wondered to herself if Klaus had thought it was weird that she chose the same place as last time. If he did, she figured he would have thought it was even more strange when he saw the decorations.
Before stepping out of the limo, Caroline closed her eyes and let the memories of her last wedding fill her mind. She smiled as she remembered the look on Klaus' face when he saw her appear at the end of the aisle. She wondered if it would look the same today.
"Let's get you upstairs, Caroline." Rebekah told her as she waited for Caroline to climb out of the limo.
Caroline shook her head. "I'm ready now. Go inside and tell them to get ready."
Rebekah looked surprised but didn't argue. She nodded, and made her way to the mansion. She hurried, making sure that her brother didn't catch sight of his bride before it was time.
Caroline waited impatiently for Rebekah to return. It took everything inside of her not to run to Klaus and tell him that her memories were back. After a couple of minutes, Rebekah returned.
"We're ready to go," she told the girls.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Caroline headed for the front door.
As Caroline was waiting to make her appearance, she had to fight the urge to tell her mother everything. She knew her mom would be ecstatic, but she had to remind herself that Klaus needed to know first. He was the person most affected by the accident.
"Are you alright, honey?" Liz looked over at her daughter.
Caroline nodded. "Just ready to go."
It wasn't long after she made the statement that she heard the wedding march come on the stereo. She practically pulled her mom to the end of the aisle, eager to see the man standing at the end. She saw the chairs with blue silk draped across the backs and the mixture of white flowers scatted around. It was exactly the same. Then her eyes landed on him.
Klaus' face didn't disappoint her. He had the same look of awe on his face that he had the last time. Caroline felt her smile grow. She felt beautiful when he looked at her. Klaus smiled back, unable to mask his admiration for his wife.
The march went too slow for Caroline's taste, and when she arrived at the end of the aisle she wanted to spill everything, but she knew that wouldn't be special. She decided to keep it to herself as the preacher began the ceremony. When it was time to say their vows, she knew that was it. That would make it special.
"Can I go first?" She asked, and Klaus nodded.
She took a deep breath before beginning. "Niklaus, from the moment I saw you, you intrigued me. There was something that pulled me to you, and no matter how hard I fought it, the pull always won. And I'm glad it did. We were destined to be together. I love you more than I ever thought I was capable of loving someone. When I'm down, you're there to pick me up…"
Klaus' brow furrowed as he heard the exact vows she had said to him on their first wedding day. He had never told her those vows.
"When I'm happy, you're there to celebrate with me. And even when I'm angry at you, you never desert me."
Realization sat in as tears began to fill both of their eyes.
"Nothing can tear us apart. This accident couldn't even destroy our love." She began adding to her vows. "You stood by me when it was difficult, even when I tried to push you away. For that, I'm forever grateful, but I want you to know that I'm back. My memories are back. I remember everything about us, and I love you now more than I ever have, and I can say that with one hundred percent certainty. Always only you."
Tears were flowing down both of their faces as Klaus pulled her into him and the crowd gasped. He began covering her face with kisses as she laughed in delight.
"Hey! I didn't say you could kiss the bride yet!" The preacher yelled jokingly after he got over the initial shock of the situation.
Caroline and Klaus pulled away from one another, and both were laughing. Klaus tried to brush the tears away from Caroline's cheeks, but they seemed to be pouring in a steady stream.
"I believe it was Niklaus' turn for the vows." The preacher spoke again.
Klaus caught his breath and wiped away his tears before taking Caroline's hands in his. "Caroline, deep down I think I knew you were the one the first time I saw you at The Grill, but I knew I was going to have to work on myself to get someone as special as you to go out with me. I've made a lot of mistakes, but you never walked away. That's when I knew I truly loved you, because no one had ever really stayed with me before. Everyone seemed to leave me until you came into my life. I promise you that I will stay by your side, as you have done for me. I will take care of you and surprise you as often as possible. I love you with every part of my being. Always only you."
The preacher had the couple exchange rings before announcing it was time for the groom to kiss the bride.
Klaus scooped Caroline up into his arms and kissed her passionately. Their lips moved in perfect harmony. They were completely lost in the feel of each other's lips and touch until they heard people laughing and clearing their throats. The couple pulled away from each other, both with huge smiles on their faces. They kept their hands entwined as the preacher called:
"I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. Niklaus Mikaelson."
Klaus pulled Caroline in for one more passionate kiss before whispering into her ear. "I love you so much, Caroline. Always only you."
THE END.
I hope you guys liked it! Like I said, I'm going to try to have an epilogue up, but it will probably be in a couple of weeks if I can. Thank you again for reading, reviewing, and following!
