I know what you're thinking…. Finally! I didn't think she was EVER going to upload the epilogue! And I know… it has been FOREVER! I'm sorry, and I can sit here and tell you all about how much stuff has been going on, but I'm sure you don't really care to read that. So instead, I'll do my final thank you's of this story.
Thank you to every single person who reviewed from Chapter 1 to the last chapter. And thank you to you, who leave a review for this epilogue. Thank you to ALL of you that have hit the follow button and the favorite button. It's great seeing those pop up in my e-mail and knowing that you guys like the story enough to follow it to its end.
MrsLeaMorgan: I hope this satisfies what you wanted for the epilogue, although I know that there are no babies actually being born. Thank you so much for reading my story! :) Guest: Haha, thanks! Right now I'm super busy, but keep an eye out in the future :-P Thank you so much for reading! Guest: hmmm… maybe? You'll have to read and find out :-P Thanks for reading this story! Ellavm18: Thank YOU for reading because if it weren't for you guys, I doubt this story would have even been finished. Thank you for reading this all the way through! :) Klaroline-lovegames: Thank you! I miss Klaroline. Thank goodness we will have fics if nothing else though! Thank you for reading my story all the way through! :) Chelseab95: Thank you for reading it and taking the ride with me :) I know the epilogue is long awaited, but hope you enjoy it! Thank you again! Breab: Good tears or bad tears? Lol, thanks for reading! :) klaroline4everlove: I hope you enjoy this epilogue. I know I could have taken it further into the future, but this is where my mind took me. Thank you for reading and sticking with my story to the end! :) Iansarmy: Thank you! And thank you for reading this story all the way to the end! :) XXXXKlarolineLoveXXXX: Thank you! And yes, I like them together too, but that's probably obvious, huh? Haha. Thank you for reading! :) xXAncientBaneXx: Thank you! And thank you for reading! :) Guest: I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for reading my story! :) Guest: I'm sorry you feel that way. I don't know if I mentioned it, or maybe I just thought I did at some point in the story, but I didn't have Klaroline really relying on the money Klaus made from painting. I think I talked about it when I wrote about his family and past. In my other story, they go to NY. I guess it's just personal preference, but I wanted to keep them in Mystic Falls in this story. Thank you for reading! :) MsCindz: Haha! I like how you can tell what you're feeling just by reading what and how you type. Thank you so much! Here's the epilogue. I hope it doesn't disappoint. Thank you, and good luck to you as well. Thank you for sticking with me through this story! :)
P.S. I'm not an artist, so I don't know if what happens in this epilogue is actually legitimate. It's not a big part in the story, so I feel like it doesn't have to be 100% correct. I'm sorry if you disagree, but I just want to put it out there that I'm not claiming to know anything about being an artist or how the whole system works!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Times 10000000000000000000000000000000000. Happy Reading!

1 1/2 years later~
Caroline yawned and rubbed her eyes before they fluttered open. She felt almost blinded by the sunlight that seemed to be pouring in through the curtains covering their bedroom window. But it didn't take long for her to forget about the sunlight altogether. Klaus' arms tightened around her, pulling her against his chest. She giggled before turning towards him, careful not to twist out of his grasp.
"Good morning," she stated when her blue eyes met his.
"Good morning, love." He planted a kiss on her forehead. "How did you sleep?"
"Perfectly, but how could I not when I'm in your arms?" Her smile grew.
Klaus' smirk appeared quickly before he decided that it was time to capture her lips this time instead. "Why don't we stay here all day then?" He whispered against her mouth.
Caroline laughed again, but this time she pushed against his chest. "Because we have to go get some work done. We do have jobs, remember?"
"I can always reschedule." He wasn't budging even though Caroline was still pushing him. Instead, he began trailing feather light kisses down her neck and onto her shoulder.
"Nik! I have to go get ready." Caroline was serious, but the laughter in her voice was betraying her. "Besides, you cannot reschedule. This gallery is interested in your work, and you need to be professional and show up."
Klaus rolled over onto his pillow, allowing her to get up. "Since when are you the responsible one?" His smirk reappeared, but this time didn't disappear.
Caroline tried to look shocked, but it just caused them both to laugh. She hit him with her pillow. "I am always the responsible one." She climbed out of the bed, reluctantly. "Besides, not many gallery owners are willing to come all the way to Mystic Falls to look at someone's artwork. They must have really liked what they saw."
Caroline had sneakily taken pictures of Klaus' art and sent them to a gallery in New York. Klaus found out what she did whenever he received a call asking about setting up a meeting at his studio. He was hesitant at first, but Caroline talked him into at least giving it a chance. Although they definitely didn't need the money, they knew it wouldn't hurt to have some extra just in case their family started growing.
While Caroline was getting ready for work, she had gone back to her old job, Klaus finally climbed out of bed. Caroline was putting on her make up, staring into the big mirror that hung over their bathroom sink, when he stopped behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"What has gotten into you?" Caroline was looking at him through the reflection in the mirror.
He didn't answer her question, although she could tell that something wasn't right with him. In fact, as she began to really think about it, he had been extra clingy, for lack of a better word, for the past week.
"My offer still stands, sweetheart." He whispered, his lips brushing the shell of her ear.
Caroline turned in his arms so she could face him instead of looking at his reflection. Her brow furrowed with concern. "Nik, you know I need to go to work, and you need to go to that meeting. You have been trying to get me to miss all week. Is there something wrong?"
"Nothing at all." He kissed her lips before releasing her and making his way out of the bathroom.
The worry never left her face as she stared at his retreating figure. As she turned back to finish applying her make up, she decided she would call Rebekah as soon as she got in her car.
Klaus still looked worried as he left that morning, but he still didn't give Caroline any sort of explanation. He did make sure to tell her that he loved her as he made his way out the front door.
On Caroline's drive to work, she wasted no time before she was calling Rebekah.
"Caroline, how are you?" Rebekah answered the phone on the third ring.
"I'm great, Rebekah, thanks for asking. How is married life treating you?" Caroline figured it would be better to ask Rebekah about her life before dropping random questions on her.
Rebekah and Matt had gotten married about a year after Klaus and Caroline. The wedding was much more extravagant, but no one expected anything less from Rebekah.
"Couldn't be any better. How is my dear brother?"
That was the opening Caroline needed. "Actually, that's why I'm calling. Has he said anything to you by any chance?"
"About what?" Rebekah could sense that the light conversation was taking a turn.
"He's just been acting weird lately, unlike his usual self. I just thought that maybe he had talked to you about it." Caroline was still racking her brain, trying to come up with some kind of answer to his behavior.
"Honestly Caroline, he talks to you about way more things than he does me. Have you tried asking him?"
Caroline sighed. "Yeah, but he just changes the subject. I'll try to figure it out."
"Alright, let me know if you would like me to give it a shot and ask him."
"Thank you, but it would probably be best if I just keep trying myself. I'll talk to you later, Bekah."
"Goodbye, Caroline."
The two had become a lot closer since Caroline gained her memory back, and Caroline was glad to have such a close sister-in-law that she knew she could count on. But it was time for her to focus on her job, and try not to worry about Klaus. Yeah, that's possible, she thought to herself.
Caroline hadn't gotten much done that day. Her mind was on Klaus, not her job, and she couldn't do anything to change that. She was on her way out when the small calendar on the end of her desk caught her attention. Her secretary must have ripped off the previous days, and the day's date was staring back at her.
January 24
Two things hit her simultaneously. One was the realization of why Klaus had been so extremely clingy the past week, the other making her realize she had a pit stop to make on the way home.
When she made it through her front door, she was relieved that she hadn't seen Klaus' vehicle outside. She knew if he had been home, he would have been curious about the contents of her bag, and she didn't want to get his hopes up just to disappoint him. However, she figured it wouldn't be long before he came through the door, so she needed to hurry.
About five minutes later, she was pacing the floor. A sense of déjà vu washed over her. She was scared. She wished Klaus was standing beside her, but at the same time, she knew that could be a bad idea. She was excited, but she also didn't want to get her hopes up. She didn't know what to do other than continue pacing.
When the time was up, she walked over to the counter and looked down at the little stick. Her heart skipped a beat, and she felt tears sting her eyes.
Klaus walked through the door. He was glad that Caroline had made it home, and he was eager to see her. "Caroline?" He called out when he didn't see her in the living room. He was about to call her name again when she appeared in the entryway.
"Hey, you're home." Caroline smiled and walked over to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and laid her head on his chest.
Klaus tangled one hand in her blonde curls while the other rested on her back, holding her close to him. He kissed her on the head, breathing in her sweet scent. He could instantly tell that something was up.
"How was your meeting?" She looked up at him through her long lashes.
"It went well. They liked a few of my paintings in particular, and went ahead and took them back to New York. They took pictures of some others that they thought might fit in their gallery and said they would get back to me. They said they would keep in touch to see if I have anything new for them to look at." He rubbed her back with his hand as he spoke.
"That's wonderful!" Caroline's eyes lit up as she smiled.
He nodded once. "Yes, I guess it is."
Caroline rolled her eyes, but laughed. "Don't get so excited," she said, sarcastically. She pulled away from him, making her way to the couch.
"Caroline?" He was still standing where she left him.
"Hmmm?" Caroline didn't turn towards him.
"Caroline, please look at me." His voice had a sternness in it that Caroline couldn't ignore.
Caroline's blue doe eyes looked at him innocently.
"What is the matter? What happened?" He walked closer to her.
"I don't know what to tell you first." She smiled shyly.
"How about starting with why you look so worried?"
Caroline's eyes became sympathetic, every emotion she felt displayed in them. "I know why you've been acting this way for the past week."
Klaus' face grew expressionless, the complete opposite of hers. "What way?"
She walked over and took her hands in his. "It's January 24th. I woke up out of my coma on January 24th after being in the hospital for a week. You started acting like you didn't want me to leave the house about a week ago."
Tears filled his eyes as he remembered the horrible day that he got the news about the accident. The emotions that went through him when he found out she had woken up, only to find out that she didn't remember marrying him.
Caroline wanted to take away his pain, but she just stepped closer so she could wrap her arms around him. "I know that it's terrible for you, and I'm sorry. I didn't even think about the date until I saw it today. I just wish you would have told me."
"I didn't want to remind you about the accident if you hadn't thought about it." He had gotten control of his emotions and was looking her in the eyes. He could see a sparkle in them, a little light of excitement, and he didn't understand why.
She shook her head. "I would rather you tell me what's going on and we deal with it together than me wonder what's bothering you."
He nodded. "Alright."
She gently placed a kiss on his jawline before resting her head on his chest, barely holding in her excitement.
"Is that the only reason you were avoiding me when I came in?" He probed for answers.
She pulled away so she could look at his face. "I wasn't avoiding you." She was just trying to hide her emotions from him because she knew he could read them.
"Alright, then tell me about your day." He sat on the couch and pulled her down with him.
"I would rather not tell you about work." She smiled, mischievously.
His brow creased. "Then what would you like to talk about?"
"What happened after work."
"Caroline, would you please just tell me what you are hiding from me." He was growing agitated, eager to know what she was withholding.
Caroline reached into her back pocket and pulled out the little white stick, a smile on her face from ear to ear. "Hopefully, this day will now be a memory of happiness instead of a memory of heartache."
Klaus took the stick, his eyes growing wide. He couldn't believe it as his eyes took in the little positive sign. "You're…"
"We're pregnant!" Caroline interrupted him. "I mean, I haven't gone to the doctor yet, but this shows that I'm pregnant." She gestured towards the pregnancy test.
Klaus scooped her into his arms, squeezing her against him. Every thought of sorrow disappeared from his mind. They were going to have a baby. His lips met Caroline's as his hand wound through her hair.
"I love you, sweetheart." He told her before kissing her again.
She smiled, their foreheads resting against each other. "I love you, too. Always only you."
He laid his hand on her stomach. "Always only us."
His lips met hers again, both of them consumed by bliss.
Thank you for sticking with me through the whole story, but definitely here at the end. I know I've been terrible at uploading, but life has been busy, like I briefly mentioned before. Thank you, thank you, thank you! This will probably be my last story for a while, but if you follow me, then keep an eye out in the future. :)
