I am in shock with the response of the first chapter. You guys are awesome. Thank you so much. Here is chapter two of Some Kind of Disaster.

April 16th, 2003

"So let me get this straight, You and my best friend have been sleeping together after Harry signed his divorced papers?" Hermione asked as the two girls moved from Daphne's bedroom to the kitchen table.

"It was only once," Ignoring the scoff and the look that matched from Hermione, "We were drunk."

Daphne wasn't happy with the move. She was quite comfortable in her bed, drowning in herself pity. Never was Daphne, the girl that slept with random men. She still doesn't sleep with random men; one man, one time.

No one planned for any of this to happen, especially not her, when Harry stepped out of the fireplace that fateful night. And when Harry told her that he didn't regret with they did, they both knew they shouldn't do it again. No matter how badly either of them wanted to do it.

Neither wanted to be in a relationship. Harry, with just getting out of a five-year unsuccessful marriage, and Daphne wanting to focus on herself before adding another person to the mix. They agreed with what their relationship should be.

Friends, Only friends.

Who ended up giving meaningful secret glances towards each other when they would run into each other. Hands would brush against each other while waiting or riding the lifts. Hands placed on the other's hip as they passed each other in a crowded area.

They also hung out a tad bit more than they used to, usually, with Hermione and Theo, who were not going to find out about their one-night stand. As long as Harry and Daphne didn't drink too much, they clearly didn't make the best decisions drunk.

Daphne didn't think Hermione would find out this way. Daphne Greengrass pregnant. Pregnant with Harry Potter's baby. Two months after, the man signed divorce papers. It didn't look good, and Daphne knew that.

"Are you going to tell him?" Hermione asked after finally sitting down. Daphne was grateful since she was getting tired, just watching her pace. The disappointed look was, of course, still on her face, "He wants a family, you know."

"I know, Hermione. I just found out this morning." She thought she was coming down with something. The flu perhaps, remembering how one of the secretaries in her department came to work with a sniffle. All she wanted was to take the morning off, recover a bit, "I need to process this fully."

Honestly, Daphne wouldn't have even bothered to take a test until she realized she couldn't remember the last time she had her period. Daphne was always right on schedule. Just like a clock. And with the whole not sleeping around with other men, she didn't have any contraceptive potions. She thought they were safe, which is what you get for when you assume. A baby, apparently.

Her morning to recover from the flu turned into crying. She has morning sickness because she is pregnant. The second the charm turned blue, her life changed. Telling herself that everything was going to be okay. She needed to come up with a game plan. How to say to her friends and family. And, of course, Harry.

Her parents would be excited for a grandchild to spoil. They would try not to make Daphne feel pressured that she had to marry the child's father. Which they would ultimately fail any time either of them would open their mouths.

Astoria, who made it undoubtedly clear, never want any children of her own. With her being a free spirit and all. Who would, of course, be excited to become an aunt. And while watching her older sister go through what people call the most amazing life experience, she would be happy with her decision not to have children. But Daphne knew that her sister would spoil any nieces or nephews she would give her.

Theo was going to laugh his ass off when he finds out. The two have been best friends since childhood. His mother was best friends with her mother. And when Theo's mother died during childbirth, Astrid Greengrass filled the mother's role for Theo. Something the world should be grateful for. If her mother didn't, Theo would have turned out to be exactly like his distant arrogant father.

"You're right. I'm sorry. It's just, Harry has been through a lot in this lifetime, and I don't want him to struggle anymore. The divorce from Ginny was shocking enough." The protectiveness Hermione gave off about Harry was precisely how she felt about Theo. If someone were to hurt her best friend, there would be hell to pay.

Daphne loved Theo with all her heart. He was her brother in all but blood. So when she found out that he had a crush on Hermione Granger during their redo seventh year, Daphne made it her mission to get Theo his happy ending. Hermione Granger, who was fresh from the break up with Ron Weasley.

The blonde witch would purposely pair up with Neville Longbottom in classes forcing Hermione to have to be partners with Theo. And soon, Hermione and Theo became study partners, eating in the library at all hours of the day. Soon you couldn't find Theo or Hermione without the other. It wasn't enjoyable, especially when you were just trying to study.

They didn't become an official couple until graduation. In the middle of Hermione's valedictorian speech, she looked straight at Theo and asked him to be her boyfriend. When the blushing, embarrassed Slytherin said yes, the whole Great Hall went berserk. Five years later, the couple was still together.

Hermione just wanted that for her best friend. And Daphne knew that Hermione would fight to the end of the earth to make Harry happy.

"I'm not going to make any life-changing decisions without Harry," Daphne whispered as she set her hand on top of Hermione's.

"Thank you." Squeezing her hand, Hermione whispered, "That's all I needed to hear."

Shopping has always helped Daphne clear her mind. It was the one thing that would calm her mind. It didn't matter what shopping was, from clothes, books, and even groceries. The act of shopping helped her get through whatever was going on in her life.

But today, shopping wasn't doing anything for her. The clothes that she was trying on didn't seem to fit her right. The books she picked up to read didn't interest her. Ready to give up hope, she started to make her way out of Diagon Alley, that was until a store window caught her eye.

In the store window, baby mannequins were crawling, trying to get patrons to come inside the store. Before she knew it, Daphne was walking inside the store. Her eyes widened as she saw the different types of—well, everything. Her mind went racing, trying to decipher how a small human baby was going to need any of this.

A crib, a stroller, hell, even a bottle warmer, she understood. But a container to make the correct today portion of food for your baby or something to put used smell diapers in? Isn't that what a vanishing charm is for?

"Did you just discover you are pregnant?" Looking over her shoulder, Daphne found an older woman standing behind her. Her grey hair was pulled back into a low bun to show off her friendly face. When Daphne's eyes met her kind brown ones, she felt immediately at ease. "I have new mothers come in here all the time with the same frightened look on their faces."

"I don't know if frightened is the right word for what I'm feeling right now," Daphne said as her eyes went back to wondering the store.

"Overwhelmed?" She supplied, giving the younger witch a small smile when she saw the slight nod. "Well, since you only just found out, I am going to give you a few things for yourself. Your body is going to be changing quite a bit for the next few months. These products will help you.'

"Oh, thank you." Daphne said as she followed the shop owner to the checkout desk, "How much do I owe you?"

Shaking her head, she pushed the products towards Daphne, "Nothing, free of charge."

"No, I can't accept this," Daphne said as she looked in the brown paper bag of potions, creams, books, and a pair of slippers. "This is too generous. Please let me pay."

Giving the young woman another soft smile, "Don't worry, you will be in here almost every other day once that baby gets closer to being born. It's the least I can do."

Putting away her purse, she sighed, "Oh, alright! Thank you."

"You are most welcome. I'm Miranda."

"Daphne, I'm sure I will see you again."

"I know you will."

After her stop at the baby supply store, Daphne could feel a pep in her step. Soon she stopped at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor; to get her favorite flavor of butterscotch ice cream with bits of chocolate chip cookies and brownies mixed in. Once a few bites were taken and realizing that she wasn't going to be getting sick off the ice cream, a celebration happened in her mind. Soon she went roaming around the streets of Diagon Alley, hopefully, this time to calm her mind.

She stopped inside Flourish and Blotts once again to pick up a few books for herself. While Miranda gave her a couple of books on pregnancy, Daphne wanted some other books to entertain herself. Hermione had stolen most of her books, and she needed to replenish her supply. Maybe put a few protective spells on them so her bookworm roommate wouldn't be able to steal them.

She was about to go up to the checkout desk until her eyes caught a book titled, "So You're Going to be a Father.' Picking up the book, she bit her lip, thinking it would be an excellent way to tell Harry.

If they were an actual couple trying to get pregnant. Instead, Harry was the man she was only starting to know who she couldn't stop thinking about how she wanted to kiss him again. Happiness started to bloom.

That was until she realized she had to tell him that she was pregnant. With his baby. After they had a one night stand. Which they both agreed that they didn't need to talk about again. Setting the book down, she paid for the books she actually needed and wanted before running out the door.

How could she have been so stupid?! She slept with a just divorced man. The papers weren't even fully processed yet. And once the divorce was processed and public knowledge. Everyone in the wizarding world will know.

The happy mood she felt for an hour disappeared as her mind imagined the headlines the press would create. Most would be all lies, of course. Barley, any of the journalists, actually did their jobs correctly. They just wanted to see the most papers, mostly if Harry Potter was the subject.

Self-preservation has always been a trait Daphne had admired within herself. While she was sure Harry would help with the press, it didn't mean Daphne couldn't take care of her own wellbeing. Maybe the Ice Queen would be making a reappearance. Anything to protect her and her baby.

That's all that matters now.
