"Gee, you're really serious about this whole thing, aren't you?" Robin said, surprised. When Beast Boy responded with a quick, wordless glare, Robin hastened to add, "Not that I really doubted you…it's just…" He trailed off.

"Just what?" Beast Boy asked, self consciously.

"Well, you're not really known for following through on a great many of your wild declarations. But that doesn't mean you can't, or won't." Robin finished tactfully.

After a pause, Beast Boy replied, "I hear ya. But this time's different. I'm different. Love can do that to someone."

"Isn't love a strong word? This is all so new to you, after all. What about taking it slow?" Robin's uncertain demeanor persisted.

Beast Boy set the expensive, fancy object he'd been holding in his gloved hands down gingerly on his desk, and turned to face Robin.

"No, I don't think it's a strong word. If anything, it's not a strong enough word!" He took a breath. "Look, I didn't ask you about all this to be questioned; I just wanted your blessing."

Robin was a bit taken aback at Beast Boy's abundance of confidence on this matter, but at the same time, he was impressed.

"Beast Boy...you've been growing so much lately. Your ambitions, your willingness to lead. You even clean your room on a regular basis. I'm sitting here, looking around these four walls, and I'm astonished that this is the same place that used to be littered with pizza boxes, crumpled soda cans, and mountains of dirty laundry. Hell, you're actually using your desk! I can see the floor! And now, with this proposal...maybe you are ready."

"So…?" Beast Boy looked at Robin expectantly, waiting for a solid affirmation.

Robin smiled. "Yes, Beast Boy. I approve. In fact, I really think this is going to be great for all of us. Strengthen the dynamic of our team." He stood up. "I'm placing my trust in you, Beast Boy. Don't mess this up."

And with that, he left the room.

Beast Boy sat back and smiled happily. He couldn't believe it. All his dreams were about to come true. He was about to be engaged…

...with the process of producing and directing the world's first ever real life documentary made by and from the perspective of a superhero team!

Beast Boy had always liked movies, but he was more of a gamer at heart. That is, until a few weeks ago, when the Titans sat down for a movie night, and they watched Apocalypse Now.

The movie had totally blown his mind! He couldn't believe that there was no computer generated imagery, it was all so raw and intense. Ever since that viewing, he'd been obsessed with the idea of making a movie himself, and what would be more exciting than an intimate glimpse of the action packed life of five real, totally hip, beloved superheroes?

Of course, he had to ask Robin for permission. He didn't want to accidentally give away any important information or secrets through the footage, to villains or opportunists. But Beast Boy had assured Robin that before doing anything final, he could look through all the content and edit out anything potentially dangerous.

Beast Boy picked up the object he'd set down on his desk, and inspected it again. It was a state of the art video camera. He flipped open the viewfinder and looked through it. Filtered through the camera, life was even more detailed, more crisp, more beautiful.

'I can't believe I'm gonna get to make this portrait of all my very best friends. Everyone knows us as heroes, these larger than life protectors of the city. But we're all just people. I want people to know that there's another side to us. That we lead relatively normal lives. That we have the same worries and struggles most people do.

Hey, that sounds pretty good. Maybe I'll win an Academy Award for this. Ah, who am I kidding? Of course I will! It's me, Beast Boy! Maybe I'll get a Nobel prize, too! And a Pulitzer!

Everyone'll see just what a great leader Robin really is. How hard he works, all the sleepless nights he puts in. And how funny Cy is! How kind and gentle Starfire is! And how beautiful Raven is-'

Beast Boy stumbled over his thoughts, crashing to the ground before he could even put his arms out to break the fall.

'Did I just think that Raven is beautiful?'
