Ok. I have something important to discuss with y'all. Well... more me lay something out and you all help me with the decision. First. Thanks to all of you for your interest in Frost Fire. This was one of my more ambitious ideas and, frankly it's a lot more satisfying seeing so many people like it. Which brings me to what I wanted to say. The reason I've been putting off updating this story is two-fold. The first is I've been suffering from Harry Potter burnout. Constant uploads for Birth of Technomancy for a year straight plus Revival of Soul Magic and Court of Shadows just took too much out of me. The second is the more important reason and why this update is going up instead of a proper chapter. It will be taken down soon to be replaced with a proper chapter.
I've been debating scraping Frost Fire. Not entirely, just as a Harry Potter fanfic. The premise for Frost Fire was a concept I'd been working with for a while and my time away from updating has been spent working on the world building and the more that I've been working on it, the more I've been debating making Frost Fire a standalone story away from Harry Potter as its own world with its own characters. Certain aspects would transition over, the Tear of the Jotun, the mysterious White Fire, and the concept of ancient forces coinciding a world of magic. The more I kept working at it, the more I saw a potential as its own story. And I wanted your opinions on this. More than anything, I don't scrap ideas without a proper reason as to why. I want you to know that what happens next is wholly up to me and I just want your thoughts to help with my decision. I won't make any choices without knowing how you all would feel. So I'll be putting a poll for you all to answer to. There will be two options. Stop Harry Potter: Frost Fire and working on Frost Fire as a standalone story, or work on both with Frost Fire as its own world being uploaded on FictionPress or another website that allows something like that.
Whatever I choose, I wish to hear your thoughts on this. I'm sure that I can guess how you'll all vote, but I want to see it myself. Feel free to comment about your thoughts about this as well.
