Fluffy dives out of the way of three thin beams of elemental power, each carving large swathes across the ground, one leaves a burning trench, the other leaving a trail of acid that melts into the ground, and a third leaving a path of raised glaciers of ice, Fluffy suddenly slaps away a lashing tail and unleashes a quick breath of fire, far weaker and less-focused than his earlier ones, more of legitimate fire breath than the laser it was before, the blast strikes the large beast in the chest, staggering it only slightly.

I give it a half-lidded stare 'it's highly resistant to fire or just flat out immune, isn't it?'

Fluffy hops backwards as it swipes a burning claw at us, the large beast letting out loud mutated growls as Fluffy carves another trench in the earth with his feet.

I whisper down to the beast below me. "Wait for an attack then slip around and attack his flank."

The vault monster opposite of us charges forwards, its footsteps sounding like thunder as it snaps its jaws towards Fluffy.

The beast with a ridiculously long name swings its three heads down at fluffy, it only eats dirt however, as The Warrior dives to the side with a single flap of its wings, it rakes its claws along the beast's side, creating thin gashes.

Honestly it barely even looks like it broke the rocky skin.

The Keizer Ghidora knockoff whirls around, three sets of jaws lashing down at us, The Warrior raises onto his hind legs and stops two of the heads, the final head, the leftmost, corrosive head strikes down towards Fluffy's neck, but I swing my sword downwards, unleashing the laser blast I had been charging for the past twenty seconds or so.

The head snaps backwards as it lets out a shriek, green liquid drips down the monster's face from a large gash in its rocky skin.

'What the hell? That should have chopped cleanly through its face!'

A blow that cleaved an entire cargo ship in half, only cut like a foot into this things' face. I mean, it's actual damage, but what the hell? What is this thing made of?

The visor remains mostly intact, despite the fact that I had struck it with the blast head on, all that had changed is that there is a large crack in the glass.

The air vibrates as The Warrior lets out a low growl, its claws digging into the two heads it caught.

The beast's two front legs lash out, cutting deep gashes within the warrior as it lets out a growl and hops backwards, using its wings to gain extra distance.

'So... this is a pretty tough nut to crack, hm?'

I glance to the side, spotting that I still have a good thirty seconds till my time stop cooldown is up.

I begin slowly charging my sword up for another laser slash.

Pov: elsewhere

A red haired recently turned siren lets out a long sigh as she looks to the marching waves of enemies.

Luckily, when her boyfriend hopped on that giant monster and charged towards several gigantic loader bots, most of the nearby ones were destroyed... there also appears to be some form of robot revolution currently going on right now. So that's thinning the hordes quite a bit as well.

"How's the battle going?" The girl slowly asks the other red haired siren.

"We are... winning?" The phase walk siren shrugs. "I honestly have no idea what's going on. The robots are turning on each other, we have our own vault monster, there are giant robots. It has been a wild day."

They quietly watch as the beast carves its way through the loaders,

The ground shudders as in the distance an absolutely massive beast crashes down from the sky, its size eclipses even the warrior.

"Holy." The girl holding a metal arm begins.

"Shit..." The teleportation Siren finishes with wide eyes.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!" The technopath siren shouts as she points to the massive multiheaded beast in the far distance.

A blue haired siren and a figure in dark armor slowly walks over.

"Zero's no longer sick." Maya announces as she crosses her arms. "He says that we should find a way to help out."

She seemingly zeroes in on the massive monster battle in the distance. "And It looks like David could use all the help he can get."

Zero takes the massive sniper off his back.

"I can shoot from here/ We will not get past the waves./ this is the best bet." Zero states as he points up towards a high point then looks at Maya. "Assistance?"

Maya looks to the assassin, then phaselocks him and hurls him up towards the nearby sanctuary wall.

"Thanks." He states as he flips through the air, eventually coming to snag the wall with a hand, he pulls himself up and begins to scurry to a higher position.

"So..." Lilith begins. "You're a technopath Siren, right? Care to part the sea of bodies for us?"

"What do I look like?" The mechromancer scoffs. "Robot Moses or something?"

"I've had these powers for not even twenty four hours! I don't fucking know how to deal with this?!" She gestures towards the mass of robots killing each other. "Even looking at it is giving me a headache! Ugh!"

She rubs her temples. "So much carnage and destruction. And I can see and feel their DAMNED code! Flickering, Panicking, Dying"

"Just try messing with one?" Lilith suggests.

"I would, but at the same time I literally can't tell them apart in that mass of limbs and glitching code." Gaige sighs.

"What if you used Eridium?" Maya suggests.

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" The red haired recently turned siren screams. "DID YOU NOT SEE WHAT IT DID TO ANGEL?!"

"Sereph crystals?" Lilith suggests.

"Sereph crystals?" Gaige asks.

"It might give you enough of a boost to reprogram the robots. I was considerably weaker before I used some... David said it made me into an 'Invincible' class person or something? He said my powers might change a little, and well, he was right."

A flickering flame appears above the siren's fingertip. "I am not supposed to be able to control fire... I mean, my phase walks typically resulted in fire, but I could never just flat out summon it, but here I am."

A large loader breaks through the chaos and charges towards the bridge, Lilith holds out a hand.

*FWOOSH*

A sphere of fire about the size of a watermelon leaves her hand and crashes into the loader, reducing most of its torso to slag as the ball explodes violently.

"I'm thinking of calling it 'phaseblast'. Pretty cool, right?"

Maya cups her chin. "We... did keep some of those crystals from Pete."

Lilith snaps her fingers. "And there was that one guy that snuck into Sanctuary that got turned into them."

The three don't notice a fourth woman slowly wandering up. "Well now... this is complete chaos, eh?"

Maya and Gaige freeze.

They swiftly turn around to see a woman standing there, she wears a simple pirate's hat with an anchor patch on the front, it has several golden hoops throughout the sides that mirror the large hoop earrings she has in one ear, her hair is entirely swept the entire other direction from the earrings, potentially stuck there with gel of some sort, and is red in color, but a much deeper red, almost... Scarlet.

"Ello vault hunters!" The woman grins as she waves a hand.

Captain Scarlet.

There is one crucial difference, however, first, she no longer has her prosthetics... but that doesn't matter due to the fact she now has a tannish leg that looks as if it is made of some form of rock, the same with her arm.

Maya reaches for a gun, but the woman waves her hands in front of herself. "Wait wait! Don't shoot! I come in peace!"

"You betrayed us." Maya deadpans.

The pirate nervously scratches the back of her head. "Well, yes, I did technically do that, but I have learned my lesson. I feel as if we can both benefit each other today. After my Jammer died, and my crew died, I came to a realization. If Jack won, he would eventually hunt me down. So I decided to join you all at Sanctuary until he is dead! At which point I will leave and we won't have to even look at each other anymore."

"You betrayed us." Gaige repeats.

"Come on! None of you got hurt for it! If anything I came out the worst! No treasure, I lost my entire crew, my ship, I got eaten and almost molested by Herbert that god awful fucking pervert."

"…" Gaige and Maya stare blankly at the woman.

"Now. As I was saying. Perhaps I can assist you all in your escapades to approach the giant monster fight." Scarlet continues.

Gaige lets out a sigh and turns to Lilith and draws a pistol. "Lilith, just take this gun. It gets stronger for sirens, then even more powerful if you give it eridium. Just teleport around and give Jack hell. I'll need at least a couple of months to get used to my powers before I try anything."

An orange glow twists around the gun as Liliths hand makes contact with the grip, her eyes widen as she looks down at it.

"I fully expect that back, by the way." Gaige deadpans with a half-lidded expression. "David gave me the ability to use that efficiently so I will."

The phase shift Siren slowly looks back up and nods. "I'll be right back."

She disappears with a purple flash.

"Sooooo." The pirate begins. "I've noticed that you have regrown your arm and that you are a siren now, red haired girl."

"I have." Said 'red haired girl' deadpans.

"…"

"Okay!" The pirate shrugs as she holds up a brown hand, the ground rumbles slightly as The Warrior in the distance seems to step forwards and uppercut one of the large monster's heads.

"Hm. I see. Yes. I am out of my element." The pirate mutters. "I wish I had some sand."

A voice comes through the echo device after a loud crack of gunfire.

"It has become clear./ I need an Ammo Vendor/ Maya if you would."

Lilith reappears with a bar of Eridium. "Alright. I've got some Eridium now. I'm off."

She disappears again.

The mechromancer siren slowly looks over to the pirate as the phase lock siren lets out a long sigh and quickly rushes off to find an ammo vendor to steal and phase lock up onto whatever cliff Zero now finds himself on.

The teenager narrows her eyes. "If you betray us again. You will die."

"Believe me. I have learned my lesson last time. The second I saw one of you was a siren I should have crushed any betrayal dreams, but alas, my hubris got the better of me."

"…"

"Also that one is controlling a giant monster. He could probably very easily tell it to kill me." She states.

"He could and would." The teen nods with a cautious glare.

"Hm. Anyways I'm going to see if I can find some sand." The pirate states as she turns and walks back into the city of Sanctuary.

Pov: returned

"You're an annoying bastard, you know that?" I shout at the large amalgamation of beasts.

I finally figured out what this thing is... it's those kraggons from the pre sequel... the secret boss ones, there was a fire one, an acid one, and a cryo one... and Jack seems to have captured all three and made it into some form of artificial vault monster.

And it is a match for The Warrior.

Even if Fluffy wasn't tired he would probably still struggle in defeating this monster on one.

Luckily I am here.

I swing my sword, cutting another thin gash in the beast's rocky flesh, multicolored ooze drips from the crack as the large beast lets out a roar of outrage, it lunges forwards heads swinging down upon my precious boy.

A massive purple arm sprouts from the warrior's side and smashes into one of the heads as Fluffy clubs another with his tail.

His front leg comes up and grabs onto the third, his nails sinking slightly into its rocky hide.

The beast charges forwards, shoving The Warrior back, carving massive trenches in the earth with his feet.

The two remaining heads come around again, my siren construct grabs onto the beast's face as the third head opens its mouth, Acid pools in its mouth-

It freezes in place as I leap off Fluffy's back and fly at it.

I slash my sword repeatedly across its face as the giant hand begins draining the far head.

This thing has a lot of essence. More than the phoenix, but my draining speed has increased.

I continue slashing my blade upon its flesh.

I whirl around and launch a sword beam at the side of the next head's neck, then float back to fluffy and regain my footing.

*SPLASH*

The vault beast's head crumples as its neck is rocketed back, a green beam shooting off into the sky, the entire head is horribly mangled, deep gashes pepper it as it hangs loosely.

The other two heads let out shrieks and try to pull, back, but my grip- and Fluffy's grip- remains firm.

Only when fluffy shoves back do I release the head and allow him to carry us back, barely avoiding a hail of slashes with the Ghidora knockoff's front claws.

The leftmost acid head hangs limply as an orb of draining energy smacks into the beasts from the large purplish appendage.

*CRACK*

One of its remaining heads abruptly snap to the side as some form of projectile smashes into it.

I watch with morbid fascination as the limp head shivers slightly.

Jack's aircraft soars around and shoots missiles down at the warrior.

I raise my hand and block most of them with the large appendage I made, wincing slightly as the explosion cascade across the phase limb.

"Agh. You little shit." I lowly growl as the hand raises up and swats at the ship, but it moves out of range swiftly.

*SPRT*

The greenish head of the vault monster abruptly splits in half, suddenly I am looking at two fully healed heads, they are quite a bit smaller and shorter than the other two, however. It's as if they split.

"Huh..." I head Jack mutter. "I didn't know it could do that."

Two acidic beams arc across the ground, they are smaller than it used to be when it was just one head, yet it would probably still be incredibly painful to be hit by them.

There is a flash of purple near its back leg, a large beam of purple and orange energy smashes into the leg causing it to let out a shriek, one head snapping back to look at whatever just struck it, but with another flash of purple whatever just struck it is now gone.

I just realized something...

A large piece of metal clatters to the ground.

When it split, it lost the visor.

The twin heads let out dual shrieks and begin shooting everywhere, primarily around the hydra-like beast's feet, leaves pools that used to be loader bots in their wake.

"Time for me to use... MY SPECIAL ATTACK!"

The beast lunges for me, the two smaller heads seem to be fighting each other after one accidentally struck the other with an acid beam.

A large bike with a sidecar appears in my grasp, I activate 'hulk out' to double my strength and fling the bike forwards.

"DIIIIIE!" I roar as the bike transforms into a vehicle larger and heavier than a tank yet keeping the velocity of the thrown bike.

The large dinosaur shaped vehicle smashes into one of the monster's heads and explodes violently.

I summon another bike and do it again and again.

"EAT SHIT AND DIE YOU HYDRA LOOKING PIECE OF SHIT!" I cackle as a flurry of bikes turned badassasaurus pelt the massive rock monster.

Large hunks of rock break off of it with each throw.

I hurl one final bike before I feel my legs weaken, I let out a long breath and smirk at my work, large hunks of armor flake off the beast as more of its ooze-like multicolored blood drips onto the floor.

Another gunshot rings out as a second purple beam strikes the beast's side, it lets out a shriek of pain as it charges forwards, wounds quickly healing as its heads split.

"Here it comes!" I shout as I grab onto one of Fluffly's neck spikes.

Small rays of lightning, acid, and fire wash over fluffy as he charges forwards, his claws dig into the vault beasts chest as I can feel his body heat increase, my siren appendage reaches up and grabs onto the neck of one of the heads, several other smash into Fluffy's neck as he claws the beasts chest, he holds a couple at bay, but he begins taking heavy damage.

I run up and punch one of the heads right in the eye, causing it to release Fluffy with a shriek of pain.

The Warrior staggers back, clawing at the several necks, however, whenever it claws one off, another takes its place.

I reach over and channel some essence into fluffy in an attempt to heal him, but it does... nothing?

'What the hell? Why can't I heal him?! Is it because he isn't made of flesh and blood?!'

Suddenly Fluffy stops struggling entirely.

It reaches up a clawed hand and plucks me off its back, I am slightly crushed in its grasp as suddenly-

It just flings me.

"WHAT THE FUUUUCK-"

*CRASH*

My body smashes through a loader bot, I carve a small path of destruction as I tumble across the ground, after a good hundred feet of tumbling and roll to a stop.

I slowly force myself to my feet as the surrounding loaders look around slowly.

"Fluffy?! What the hell's your probl-" I shout only to abruptly cut off as I realize something.

Fluffy is... really red.

My siren construct fades.

In the far distance he stands, easily half a mile... he abruptly lashes out and grabs the multiheaded menace.

The Warrior's body begins glowing a bright orange.

"What the fuck is going on-"

The loader bots surrounding the two giant monsters suddenly freeze and begin falling over one by one, almost in a wave.

Suddenly Fluffy's glow increases once more.

The nearby robots begin liquifying from the sheer heat, steadily creating a pool of metal made entirely of melted robots.

"Fluffy?" I whisper quietly as the beast glances to the side; it stares blankly at me for a moment.

A brilliant orange light explodes out from The Warrior, washing over the surrounding land, rock turns to magma, metal to slag, snow to steam.

A moment after the orange light washes over me, feeling scalding to even me and leaving a wake of molten metal and rock around me, I float off the ground to avoid the soon to be liquid robots.

I let out a low hiss as the light eventually fades.

The surrounding landscape has been irreversibly marred, there is a crater easily a mile wide, dozens upon dozens of feet deep, nearby rock formations have melted down into nothing more than simple bumps in the crater, bubbling liquified metal pools across the crater, dripping steadily towards the raised platform at the very center.

Two massive stone statues stand there, locked in mortal combat, both completely unmoving. Without any color or semblance of life.

You have leveled up x15

I stare blankly, eyes wide.

"Fluffy..." I quietly whisper after a second.

"Well Well, brat. Looks like you are without your beast. Mine did its job."

There is a massive electrical pulse in the distance as I turn and glare at the drone.

There is a loud hiss as the drone shifts and changes, creases open up, parts sprout from the sides and change form.

Suddenly I am looking at a black armored mecha that looks like it was stolen directly from an anime, it towers over me as it floats there, thrusters on its feet and jetpack keeping it aloft.

Pluto:
Vault beast control center.

There is a small arrow pointed towards the head of the robot.

Punch here to kill a psychopathic CEO.

"Let's finish this. And if its any consolation. I'll admit that you have been by far the largest pain in my ass out of all of your friends."

"Jack." I slowly begin, for the first time, no jokey attitude, no underlining humor, just an emotionless dead stare. "I am going to kill you."

Pov: Elsewhere.

"Eat it!" The first siren states.

"Why?! I don't want to get addicted to that!" The second, a redhead growls.

"It's Seraph Crystals! It granted Lilith new powers, if you use it, we might be able to get over there and help David!" The first responds. "He is fighting the entirety of the Hyperion corporation by himself."

Gaige cringes slightly and looks cautiously over to the dozens of pink crystals.

"FFFF- fine." The girl eventually sighs, shoulders slumping. "How do I do this."

"Just hold onto them and focus as if you were going to use your powers on the crystals themselves, then, right before you activate it, pull it back inside."

"Fucking what-"

"You'll know when you do it." Maya states.

Gaige cautiously takes the crystals.

"If this hurts or I get addicted I am going to never let you live it down." The mechanic deadpans.

The light pinkish white crystals begin glowing brightly as the twin-tailed girl begins floating off the ground, two feathered wings made out of a bluish white light appear on her back, they turn more purple towards the bottom and orangish towards the tips.

"W-Wait what is this-" she asks as she flails briefly, not used to the sudden lack of gravity. "This doesn't- oh god I'm getting nauseous!"

Her eyes begin glowing as lightning crackles around her. "Ugh! Fuck! It tingles! Maya I am decking the shit out of yo- *CRACKLE THOOOOOM*

The electricity arcing across the girl's entire body suddenly blasts outwards in a wave, several things happen, firstly, the blue haired siren loses her shield and her echo flickers out, next the large bubble shield around Sanctuary falls, in the distance it looks as if the sun itself had crashed into the ground, temporarily blinding the two as the orb of electricity continues out.

The glowing light in the distance eventually fades as the girl falls a good three feet down to the ground with a yelp, her wings disappearing on her.

The other siren stares off into the distance with wide eyes.

"Maya I swear to-" the first siren begins only to freeze as she watches the fighting robots slowly fall atop each other.

A massive heat wave brushes over the girls as they finally comprehend just what that was.

"SHIT! DAVID!" The new phase shift siren shouts-

A large robot is punted into the sky, then immediately smashed back downwards.

The other siren reaches over and pats the red head on the shoulder. "Don't worry about him, he's still alive, see?"

The girl lets out a sad sigh as she stares off at the two looming figures in the distance. "Yeah, but... I can already tell, he is sad. We might have only just gotten the warrior, but he seemed to immediately latch onto it and care for it like someone would a pet... and now it's... dead... I don't like it when David is sad, Maya. It makes me sad."

Maya reaches for her echo. "It'll be okay... you've cleared the way for us, so now we can-"

She presses the button to turn it on.

Nothing happens.

She pushes it again and again.

"What the- did you just do an EMP?!"

"I-" the red haired siren begins. "I guess?"

"Shit." The blue haired siren silently curses. "That means I'm out of commission. I'm not going out there without a shield, I can't digistruct another until my echo reboots- or I find an echo that isn't fried- and possibly all of the vendors in Sanctuary have been destroyed. Along with the shield protecting the city. That's bad."

Pov: returned

Jack seems taken aback by my blunt statement.

I silently place my fifteen points within the time stop skilltree and select a new perk I got.

"Good luck with that, brat." Jack from within the mech states, his voice echoing out through the humid sky. "This is made of vault metal. One of the hardest materials in existence. It's resistant to all forms of damage. So, you are shit out of luck."

Suddenly the steam rising from the ground abruptly stops, a couple drops of water freezing all around me, the ambient heat had turned the gentle snow into a downpour.

The droplets gently fall downwards as I float there for a couple of seconds, they barely move even a centimeter.

I float forwards at almost a lazy pace

I stop before Jack, the robot begins slowly creaking back, it had actually started moving before I did...

I whirl around and smash my fist into the front, I don't even leave a dent.

My fists hammer against the armor, finally I get some form of reaction, my hand leaves a small dent in the metal as the robot begins drifting backwards slowly.

I blink and it is suddenly thirty feet away from me.

I calmly float within its path and hammer my fists upon its back, this time angling it downwards.

I float up towards the head and do a front flip, smashing my heel into the robot's shoulder.

With another blink the robot is rocketed downwards, coming to stop feet above a molten sea of metal.

I float down and proceed to knock him along the ground, he is carried off into the distance and crashes into a rock formation slightly farther away from Fluffy's blast, it crumples around him as I fly forwards.

As I get there, I notice the robot slowly raising a hand up, it looks like a normal robotic hand, however the arm slowly opens, revealing a bluish laser weapon, it appears like it could easily be held by a human, so for Jack to place it on this mech as a weapon, it must be considerably powerful.

I float over, fully prying open the doors, then I rip off the laser and stuff it within my echo device.

I draw the Excalibadass and slowly scratch it along the front armor of the suit.

It's tough. Just like the visor.

I repeatedly slash the armor, one cut barely slices a groove about five inches deep, the fourth reaches six inches, the tenth reaches eight. Eventually every single slash is cutting a foot, two feet, three feet, four feet.

After what seems like minutes I reach the rock below, my blade sailing through it as if it were butter.

I fly back and look at a large hole about five feet wide in the very center of the robots chest and just float there.

Sparks flow from Pluto's chest, it seems to twitch once before its eyes dim, it is blasted back into the rock, sinking into the cliff face where it hangs limply, the upper torso sat atop the rock while the bottom hangs over the edge.

I slowly float over to the face plate as it hisses open.

A single bullet streaks out of the darkness and strikes me in the chest, bypassing my shield entirely.

Blood seeps past my lips as I stare blankly.

He just shot me in the heart.

Jack crawls out of the pilot seat, looking absolutely ruffled, his hair is a mess, his face itself- or rather his mask- is cracked, the corners chipping away, blood seeps out from the cracks, he is breathing heavily. "I- I didn't want to do this, brat, but you left me no other choice. This could have all been avoided. You could have taken your girlfriend plus your friends and just left. I would have stuck to my word. Never again even thinking about your lot. But... now you made me kill you-"

He seems to notice that I am not falling back and just standing there.

His eyes widen slightly as he arches back, narrowly avoiding the slash that would have cleaved him in half.

He had started moving before I had even started my swing.

Fire flickers around my wound as it heals. That had actually gotten surprisingly close to ending me. Or it would have if I didn't have three separate regeneration abilities.

As he staggers backwards, arms crossing in front of him as he winces everything seems to slow down.

A single dagger is digistructed into my hand.

I fling it downwards, the knife quickly duplicating to ten total knives, all of which float menacingly in the air as they silently sail closer and closer towards Jack.

I blink, causing them to rocket forwards, the first hits him, but in extremely slow motion it bounces off a barrier that springs to life in front of him.

The next seven do the exact same, however the ninth and the tenth knife shatter his shield, the first sinking into his upper chest, and the second into his stomach.

He coughs blood as he falls back.

"Shit..." He hisses as he raises a hand, some form of controller within it.

I slash once, the device in his hand shattering as I promptly kick him down the robot, he skips twice as I remain stoic faced, the fire healing my chest now completely gone, it had even repaired the hole in my shirt as if I was never damaged at all.

He sits up and gives me a smile a slightly nervous smile. "Well shit."

He looks down at the daggers in his chest and lets out a long smile as he slumps back as I stop before him and raise my blade. "Care to take the last words of a dying man, brat?"

I pause briefly and frown, narrowing my eyes. "You gave me a chance to leave. I will give you a chance to speak."

"Ah. Good." He sadly smiles.

"Y'know... thinking back... when I was hooked up to that relic... I didn't see you... I saw everything... your friends stood before the warrior, that giant creature within the vault of Bermuda, a better Pandora... But I never saw you... I should have probably realized something was amiss, when you first showed your face in that train, but... at I just thought you weren't important enough to mention, or maybe that you'd be dead by the time your group faced the Warrior..."

He lets out a sigh. "But now I see... that you were my downfall... everything that didn't go to plan was all because of you. All of my effort... for a better world... wasted."

"A better world?" I snarl, eyebrow twitching madly. "You slaughtered millions! Probably even billions!"

"Don't give me that... you're just mad that I killed your new pet." The man sighs, blood seeping past his lips.

"Tina. You murdered Tina's parents right in front of her." I lowly growl.

Jack simply smiles. "Yes... there is blood on my hands... but those lives? For a better tomorrow? It'd all be worth it. If you could end world hunger by killing just one person, would you do it? If you could cure all diseases just by doing a couple inhumane experiments here and there on escaped convicts, would you do it?"

He frowns as he looks over me. "I've made mistakes along the way, sure... I would have never asked Angel to charge the key had I known what it would have done to her... but you know, all of this made me realize something... The eridians and their relics are not infallible. You are proof of that... a literal blind spot for the eridian relic... and while, the relic says that the planet is now doomed... maybe... with you... the galaxies will become that paradise I hoped for."

He gives the me a cocky smirk. "I mean, the Vault relics haven't been right so far, have they?"

He looks up into the sky and smiles sadly. "At first, I thought you were just a complete and total little bastard, an absolute annoyance. A total pain in the ass... an absolute godsend if you joined my side, but as you were, something I'd have to kill sooner or later... but you saved Angel... my little Angel."

"She didn't have to die because you were a monster, Jack." I scoff as I silently glare at him.

He seems pleased by my answer. "Don't let anyone try to control you brat. If I wasn't good enough. Nobody ever will be."

He shakes his head. "And be wary... all this bloodshed... all this pain and destruction... was preparation. For what's to come. Be wary of the Destroyer, brat. It's ridiculous to think that four pricks with guns can kill a threat that the Eridians couldn't defeat."

"Obviously." I scoff. "Is this where you tell me that the moon is a key?"

"Ah. So you do know about that..." He slowly drawls.

"Yes." I nod as I cross my arms. "I do."

"And I'd like to tell you something as well, Jack..." I slowly begin. "My greatest trick that you were never able to figure out."

"Oh?" He coughs, steadily growing more and pale from blood loss. "and what's that?"

"My power isn't Phase Warp... I cannot teleport... my power is Phaseclock. I can manipulate time."

"Oh." He weakly mutters. "That does explain some things..."

He lets out a long sigh. "That means that several of my plans to capture you would have worked... oh well. Not like it matters anymore."

He looks up to me slowly. "Hey brat... when you see Angel again... can you tell her that I'm sorry?"

I frown and cross my arms. "No... I don't think I will."

"Prick." He coughs, blood begins pooling across the top of the mech. "But probably for the best. Wouldn't want her to think of me as anything but a monster... it'll make my death pass easier for her. See you in hell, brat."

I stand there, watching as the life leave his eyes.

I draw a pistol and shoot him in the chest.

His body jerks but he shows no reaction, just starting lifelessly up into the sky.

I stab my sword into the floor and sit down on the ancient vault metal and let out a long sigh as I look up into the sky, the Hyperion H sits up above, the cracked moon just behind that.

Handsome Jack is dead.

BADABOOM BABY! WE HAVE REACHED THE END OF BORDERLANDS 2! Jack is dead, David is feeling melancholic, and Sanctuary's front lawn is now a pool of molten metal with two massive statues fighting in the middle of it.

And I'm thinking that It's going to stay like that forever.

An eternal lake of molten steel. It really hammers home just how fucking powerful vault creatures are.

Guest Reviews:

Guest 001: he was hoping to Blitz David with his beast, and it almost worked, and while he could have helped, more, the vault beasts were fighting in melee more than he expected, and he didn't want to risk friendly fire.

Fire-Type: Yes, Tina did have a hand in naming it.

Guestyperson: Nah, the rest will pretty much proceed as canon, David doesn't know all too much about the Tales from the Borderlands so he won't know what to change.

RedWolfe: Tyreen is still under the assumption that David is a 'She' not a 'He'.

JustAFan123: it's sort of hard to kill someone with several forms of regeneration. (He has literally 3 of them as it is right now) as for the theory, nah, I sort of like to keep them separate.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! I'll see you all whenever I finish the next chapter!
