Before I start, my scheduling will look like this. 2 chapters a day if possible on weekends. 1 chapter on week days, maybe 2 depending on whether I can do two chapters plus school work. I plan on doing all three seasons, I can do a sequel for when they return and when the creators decide to grace us with a 4th season. The aftermath one can be done once this story is over. If season 4 comes out before I finish this, it will be added onto the story. One last thing, Rayla and Bait are from the same season, I plan to add more characters from different times. So, if there is a character you want to see sooner rather than later comment and I will do my best to put them in at the soon time that is best.
"Rayla, the voice said you were from the future. What's it like?" Runaan asked.
"Well, I don't want to spoil to much, but I would like you, Mom, and Dad to try not to kill Callum. You'll understand what I mean when it comes. Also try not to kill Viren just yet." Rayla said.
Dinner was quick. Most of it was chatting and catching up.
They all moved back towards the couches and chairs. They sat down and the screen unpaused.
Rayla: You're wrong about me. I can do this. I will do this.
Callum: Ez, is that you? Hello? You know you can't sneak up on me. Uh, uh, you're not who I thought you...You're one of those, withthe pointy...
Rayla: Oh, you don't like my ears?
Callum: No. I mean, yeah. Yes, I do, I guess. I mean... I meant the pointy swords.
Rayla: That's far enough. I'm looking for someone.
Callum: Oh, uh, did you check back there?
"I can't believe I actually fell for that." Rayla said.
"Don't worry Rayla, it's fine." Ethari said.
Callum: She's right behind me! Hey, you swept the leg!
Rayla: What?
Callum: Nothing. Lord Viren! Claudia! Anyone!
Rayla: You don't have to die. There are only two targets tonight.
Callum: Wait two? What do you mean?
Rayla: I'm here for the King. And I'm also here for his son, Prince Ezran.
Callum: You can't. That's not fair. Why would you hurt someone who's done nothing wrong?
Rayla: Humans cut down the King of the Dragons, and destroyed his only egg, the Dragon Prince. Justice will bot be denied.
Callum: I see. Well, then, you've found me. I am Prince Ezran.
"Callum, that is a brave, but stupid thing to do for your brother." Rayla said.
"He's my brother, it's my job to protect him." Callum replied.
"I'm not a baby, Callum." Ezran said.
"I know, but I still want to protect you." Callun said.
Harrow: Not a greatday for a picnic, Viren.
Viren: On that we can agree. Moonshadow elves are dangerous, elite fighters. Under a full moon, they become nearly invisible, and they can penetrate any defense. Nothing in the five kingdoms can stop them.
"How come you guys are such great fighters?" Callum asked.
"Moonshadow elves are taught how to fight from the point when they can properly walk." Rayla explained.
"That seems a bit sad. What about your childhood?" Callum asked.
"We still have them, training is just a part of it." Rayla explain further.
Harrow: I know this.
Viren: They will find you, and they will kill you.
Harrow: Not helping, Viren
Viren: But it doesn't have to be you. In the black sands of the Midnight Desert dwells a mysterious snake called a soulfang serpent. The soulfang has an unusual diet. Its bite drainsand consumes the spirits of its prey. On our last journey into Xadia, I acquired a ratherunique specimen. Tow heads, two bites, two soulsheld at once. And through magic, I can switch your spirit with another. The Moonshadow elves will find the Kings body, but your spirit will survive.
"That isn't how it works Viren. We would still be bound because his spirit would still be alive." Runaan said
"Does it matter, it sounds like a great plan." Viren said.
Rayla: I have to do this. I'm sorry. I don't want to, but I have to.
"Oh, great, another heartfelt speech." Rayla said sarcastically.
"I take it they come a lot." Ethari said. Rayla nodded.
Callum: Why? You know this is wrong.
Rayla: An assassin doesn't decide right or wrong, only life and death.
Callum: That's very clever, but come on, really? How does this solve anything?
Rayla: This is justice. Humans attacked us unprovoked.
Callum: So it's okay for you to do the same thing?
Rayla: Well, no. It's not the same thing, because we're attacking you provoked.
Callum: Then it's a cycle. You hurt me, someone will get revenge against the elves. It won't end.
Ezran: Callum. Psst, Callum.
Callum: Shh, go away.
Ezran: I found something.
Rayla: Are you talking to that painting?
Callum: Uh, why would I do that? 'Cause it's not a good time.
Ezran: You mean because you're with a girl? Uh...Jelly tart.
Queen Sarai and Rayla laughed.
"Only Ezran would offer an assassin sent to kill him a Jelly tart." Rayla said between laughing.
"Well, it seemed to work." Ethari said brightly.
Callum: Kid, get out of here.
Ezran: Callum, what's going on?
Rayla: Callum? I thought you were Prince Ezran. You lied to me.
Callum: Okay, how is that worse than trying to kill someone?
Ezran: Have you met Bait. Say hello to my little friend. Callum, follow me. I have to show you something.
Harrow: No. I won't hide in the body of another while someone else dies paying price for my decisions.
Viren: Two-hundred men and women are ready tofalk protecting you tonight, but you won't let on soldier sacrifice their life for you?
"Do you not care about any other life other than yours?" Runaan asked. Viren didn't respond.
Harrow: It's not the same. I would rather die a King than live as a coward.
Viren: Ah, so that's what it's really about?
Harrow: What are you talking about?
Viren: Pride.
Harrow: No, I already told you the problem. It's dark magic.
Viren: Yes, it is. It's clever. It's brilliant. It's practical. It will save your life and many, many others.
Harrow: It's a shortcut. We may not pay now, but we will pay the blood price eventually. What doyou think got us here? Dark magic!
Viren: You're acting stubborn and ungrateful.
Harrow: Should I be grateful that you destroyed that dragon's egg? Thank you for starting this unwinnable war? Thank you for angering the dragons and elves so much that tonight they are here for my life?
Lain and Tiadrin immediately lunged at Viren but Runaan and Ethari held them back.
"You killed a defenseless child!" Lain shouted angrily.
"Dad, relax and keep watching. You too Mom. I told you not to kill Viren just yet." Rayla said calmly.
Lain and Tiadrin relaxed at sat back down.
Viren: Destroying that egg saved our kingdom. Maybe all of humanity.
Harrow: it was an egg!
Viren: And it would have become the most powerful creature in the world! What is done cannot be undone. I am offering you a path forward. Your discomfort is understandable. You don't feel right trading your life foranother's. But know this, every one of these men and womem would gladly tradetheir life to save yours.
Harrow: Would you, Viren?
Viren: I...
Harrow: Get out.
Everyone glared at Viren and Harrow moved closer to his boys and wife.
Rayla: You're only making this worse.
Callum: Worse how?
Ezran: thisway.
Callum: We're trapped. What do we do now?
Ezran: time for a puzzle. Rock, rock, stone, rock, stone, stone. Rock, stone, rock, stone, stone.
Callum: Wait, what's the difference between the rocks amd thestones?
Ezran: Uhg! You made me do stone instead of rock. Rock, rock, stone, rock, stone, stone, rock, stone, rock.
Callum: Uh...Wow.
Ezran: Yes!
Callum: You're sure she won't be able to follow us.
Ezran: No way. It took me overa month to figure out that combination. But how did you?
Rayla: I just pressed all the stones with the jelly handprints. What is this place. Runaan is right. There's nothing in humans worth sparing. Time's up. Humans destroyed the egg of the Dragon Prince. There must be justice.
Callum: You'll have to get through me.
Rayla: Really?
Ezran: Wait. You need to see something.
Rayla: I'm not falling for that flashing frog trick again.
Ezran: He's a glow toad. But there's no trick this time. Please, look.
Rayla: Fine. You uncover it. Slowly.
Ezran: I can hear something inside, something alive.
Rayla: It...It can't be
Callum: The egg. It wasn't destroyed.
The screen faded to black.
"Next episode you will end the time in the castle and the journey will begin. I suggest you get some rest first." Gathon said.
The group walked over to the rooms that appeared and fell asleep.
