The group woke up and walked over to the couches and chairs.
Harrow: This may be the end. Aw, who gives the best birdie kisses? Pip does.
Claudia: But I don't understand. The switch spell will save his life. Why would he say no?
Viren: King Harrow is a principled man.
Claudia: You mean "stubborn".
Viren: Watch your tongue. But, yes, he is hard headed. Usually about the right things, but about this... I don't know.
Claudia: You look so... happy in this portrait.
Viren: I was. We posedfor this a few days after King Harrow's coronation. He insisted I stand next to him for the painting...because he knew I would stand by him through anything.
Claudia: And you have.
Viren: Sofar, yes. I have to stand by him through this, too. I need to be the man he once believed I was.
Claudia: What does that mean?
Viren: If I told you, you would try to stop me.
Claudia: So, shouldn't I just try to stop you then, even without knowing?
Viren: Goodbye, Claudia.
Claudia: Ugh. Persimmon.
"Persimmon is a perfectly good flavor of Jelly tart." Ezran said.
Rayla: This changes everything.
Callum: So, this is it? The egg of the Dragon Prince?
Rayla: I can't believe it. If the egg lives...
Callum: Maybe it could stop the war.
Ezran: He's okay in there. I can feel it.
Callum: But how? Why wasn't it destroyed?
Claudia: Because my father saved it.
Callum: Claudia!
Claudia: Callum, Ezran, get behind me. I can protect you from the elf.
"What protection can she give from a lightning spell?" Runaan asked.
"You'd be surprised how well the Fulminis spell works. It's hard to control, but deadly." Rayla explained.
Rayla: Your father didn't save it. He stole it.
Claudia: That's a lie!
Callum: Then, Claudia, why is it here?
Claudia: My father took it to protect us, Callum, so the elves and dragons couldn't use it.
Rayla: What are you talking about? How can we use it?
Claudia: Don't play dumb. You know it's a powerful weapon.
Rayla: It's not a weapon. It's an egg!
Claudia: Ezran, don't be afraid
Walktowards me, and if she moves even an inch... Just bring that thing here.
Rayla: It's not a thing! It has a mother, and it needs to go back to her.
Ezran: You're right. It wants its mother.
"How does he know?" Tiadrin asked.
"Ezran has a unique ability to understand and talk with animals. It comes in handy." Rayla said.
Claudia: Ezran, be careful.
Ezran: Follow me.
Claudia: Don't worry, I won't hit Ez. Fulminis- Ah! Callum what are you doing?
Callum: the right thing. I hope. I'm sorry Claudia.
Claudia: Callum!
Callum: There's something after us!
Rayla: Keep running.
Ezran: Wait, not that way.
Callum: Why not?
"Ouch. That's going to hurt, running into a stone wall like that." Ethari said.
"Eh, he was fine." Rayla said.
Rayla: I can't stop them. They're just smoke. My swords pass right through.
Callum: There might be something I can do, but I don't know if I can do it.
Rayla: Is this a guessing game? Just do it!
Callum: Aspiro!
Ezran: You did it.
Rayla: You never mentioned that you were a mage.
Callum: Who, me? No, I'm... I'm not really anything.
Ezran: You just did magic.
Rayla: Yeah, that's what a mage is. You're a mage.
"So, instead of dark magic he uses a primal stone." Runaan said.
"For now." Rayla responded.
"What do you mean "for now"? Ethari asked.
"You'll see." Rayla said.
Callum: Oh, really? Wow! I'm a mage! I'm a mage!
Rayla: Nobody likes a loud mage.
Callum: Sorry. Sorry. I'm a mage.
Soren: So, what's in thebasket? A bigger moth?
Viren: It's something that will protect the King when all your swords have failed.
Soren: Uh... You know they can hear you, right?
Guard: He knows sir.
Viren: I am prepared to do anything to protect the King. Anything. I hope you will understand.
Rayla: Listen, I need you to give me the egg. I have to get it to the roof, right away.
Ezran: What? Why?
Rayla: Just trust me.
Callum: Right, right, that makes sense, since we go way back. Like that time ten minutes ago, when you chased me through the castle trying to stab me. Good time.
"I think you found a new friend Rayla. He's sarcastic, just like you." Lain said.
"Don't get your hopes up Lain." Runaan said.
"I think you should Dad." Rayla said while smirking.
Rayla: You might not realize it, but I'm trying to help you. Any moment now, others will be arriving. Others like me.
Callum: Assassins.
Rayla: I need to show them the egg to stop them. Just give it to me.
Ezran: I'll take you to the roof.
Viren: I've given thought to what you said.
Harrow: Oh, have you? Then why have you come back with that abomination?
Viren: Yes, I've brought the soulfang. I have a proposal. Let me explain.
Harrow: Go on.
Viren: You are my King...but you are also my friend.
Harrow: Your friend.
Viren: Yes. Right now, I do not come to you as my King. I think of you...as my brother.
Harrow: I see the problem now. It's that you believe you are special, better than everyone else, above the laws of this kingdom.
Viren: That's notwhat I was trying to say. Please, listen.
Harrow: Assassins are coming to murder me tonight, and you're wasting what precious time I have left.
Viren: No, Harrow, I--
Harrow: Stop. How about, "No Your Highness." In fact let's try, "Yes, Your Highness." for a change.
Viren: Oh, are you sure you wouldn't prefer "Your Royal Highness"? "Your Esteemed Inimitable Majesty", perhaps.
Harrow: I have tolerated your arrogance for too long, maybe even encouraged it. But if today is my last day as King then you will know your place.
Viren: And where exactly is that place?
Harrow: Right here. On...your...knees. You are a servant of the kingdom of Katolis. You are a servant.
"That is no way to talk to a King, Viren." Sarai said.
"I know, I do not understand why my future self would talk like that to him." Viren replied.
Rayla: You're here. I know you are.
Runaan: Rayla. You defied me.
Rayla: Runaan, you need to call off the mission.
Runaan: You've lost your mind.
Rayla: Please, listen to me. I've found something. The egg of the Dragon.
Runaan: That's impossible.
Rayla: The egg wasn't destroyed, it was stolen. Their High Mage was going use it for dark magic, but the human princes found it, and they'reonly trying to help--
Runaan: No. Humans are liars. This is a trick and a trap. You're a fool Rayla.
"She's not a fool Runaan." Tiadrin said while glaring him.
Callum: She's not a fool. What she's telling you is true.
Runaan: You've made a terrible mistake.
Callum: Ez, show him.
Runaan: It's beautiful.
Rayla: Howcan you take vengeance for an act that never happened? You have to call it off.
Runaan: The humans struck down the kings of the Dragons. Justice will be denied. Now, give me the egg.
Rayla: Callum, Ezran, go.
Callum: But--
Rayla: Just keep it safe.
Then the screen paused.
"That's a lot to think about. Rayla's going to go on some large adventure to get the egg back to its mother." Ethari said.
"Eh, It could have gone worse." Rayla said.
Then another flash appeared. Once the flash faded. Two people appeared.
"Amaya?" Sarai asked.
Gren and Sarai helped Amaya up.
"Sarai? Is that you?" Amaya signed.
"Yes, it's me, sister." Sarai replied.
Amaya looked around the room and spotted Rayla. She tensed.
"Where are the Princes?" she signed furiously.
"Look, we're not from the same time. The time that I'm from, Ezran and Callum were in Xadia at the Storm Spire. I won't tell you the details, but both are safe." Rayla said.
Bait croaked. "Bait says that Rayla is telling the truth." Ezran said.
"Okay, I'll trust you for now." Amaya signed.
"Oh, hey Gren." Rayla said.
"Hello." Gren said.
"Now that you are all caught up, I suggest you tell Amaya and Gren what you have seen so far." Gathon said and Gren translated it to her.
The group spent the next half hour explaining what happened. Then they sat back down on the couches and chairs.
