It didn't take long to dispatch the ninjas. They were probably only of genin level when they abandoned their villages. It's probably why they were able to last so long when they were betrayers. They picked a spot that didn't have any other ninjas to deal with and then they preyed on those that couldn't defend themselves even against genin.
Then the only difficulty was getting all the girls back to the village and off to wherever they belonged. Most of them were reunited with their loved ones who stayed in the village to help in the search, but some of them had to be escorted elsewhere. Naruto left all of that to the others, though, as he watched Amateratsu and Katsuro reunite. He was right, though, it was awkward watching the two of them kiss when he knew that the demons inside of them were siblings.
"Thank you for saving Amateratsu," Katsuro said once they were done with their reunion.
"It's nice to finally meet you," Naruto replied. "Gobi said that you were sleeping and we couldn't actually meet when I talked to him."
"You're the Kyuubi aren't you?" Katsuro asked.
"I am," Naruto replied with a nod. "I'm happy to find more of my family, but I'm afraid that I have to talk to both of your counterparts."
"Is something wrong?" Amateratsu asked.
"I need to talk to the spirits," Naruto replied. "If they want to tell you what I say, then it's there choice."
Katsuro looked to Amateratsu who nodded before the both of them allowed their other selves to take over.
"It is nice to see you again Kyuubi-sama," Rokubi bowed politely the moment she came forth.
"As it is you," Naruto replied. "I have a favor that I need to ask the two of you, but I'm afraid it'll come at a great price."
"What do you need?" Gobi asked. Even if he didn't have the utmost respect for Kyuubi, Naruto saved his sister and that was enough to warrant a willingness to do whatever he said.
"There are people who are trying to capture the Jinchuuriki and use extract us. It kills the Jinchuuriki to have this procedure happen and then the people can control us. They hope to use us to take over the world."
"That's horrible!" Rokubi gasped.
"There is a way to defeat them with little sacrifice, but it will come at a great price from us."
"I will do whatever it takes to protect Amateratsu," Rokubi said determinedly. "She's been so kind to me all these years. I won't let her die by the hands of those evil people."
"I will do whatever my sister decides."
Naruto smiled gratefully at them, but it didn't reach his eyes. What they had just agreed to was not something that someone should be happy about.
"What do you think they're talking about?" Sakura asked Sasuke as the two of them watched Naruto converse with the other two Jinchuuriki. All of the ladies had been sent on their way and now the only thing that they had to do was wait for Naruto to be done before they could finally go home.
"Probably inviting more people to come and live with him," Sasuke replied, but he knew that wasn't the entire truth. Naruto didn't smile like that when he was just asking someone to come live with him. That was the smile that he only used when he was talking about something really important. Sasuke had only seen that smile pointed directly at him one time and it was just before they went to face off against the Akatsuki in their past life. It was just before the battle that destroyed them all.
"That's two more Jinchuuriki for him to add to his collection," Sakura smiled. "Do you think that he's going to be able to collect them all before the Akatsuki can get to any of them?"
"I wouldn't doubt if the Akatsuki already has some of them," Sasuke shook his head, "but Naruto told me that they had to get them in order so as long as Gaara remains out of there reach, I think that Naruto will save them all."
"Is something wrong Sasuke?" Sakura asked. "You look upset."
"It's nothing," Sasuke shook his head. If Sakura didn't see it, then it was best not to worry her.
"Won't that mean…?" Rokubi asked, but she couldn't continue her question since Naruto already answered with a nod.
"I'm ready for it," Naruto replied. "I won't let them kill anyone else. No matter what I have to do."
"Then we're with you," Gobi said, "to whatever end."
"Thank you," Naruto sighed. "I don't know if I could do this without you two."
"Do you know where the rest of the Jinchuuriki are?" Rokubi asked. "It seems that you need them all."
"Three of them are still missing," Naruto shook his head. "The Akatsuki might already have them. If that's the case, we'll have to have a rescue mission before we can continue with my plan."
"We'll help," Gobi said.
"No," Naruto shook his head. "If it comes to that, I'd rather keep the rest of the Jinchuuriki safe in Konoha. I don't know how many I need, but I can't afford for any more to go missing or get killed if we want this to work."
"Don't we need you for it to work?" Rokubi asked.
"Yes," Naruto nodded, "but I have utmost faith in my team. They'll keep me safe no matter what."
"Do they know?" Rokubi asked.
"You guys did seem very close," Gobi pointed out.
"I made the decision not to tell them," Naruto shook his head. "You also have to make the decision on whether or not you're going to tell your Jinchuurikis."
"We're going to have to," Rokubi replied. "It wouldn't be right not to."
"At least now it won't be so awkward for us," Gobi said in an attempt to improve the mood.
"That is true," Naruto laughed. "I'm sorry that you guys have to go through with this."
"It's better than anything else that might have happened," Gobi shook his head. "Just leave it to us."
"Thank you."
