Chapter 41: Weirdmageddon Part 4: The End and Next Page
(Emily's P.O.V)
I was floating….
That was what I was doing at this moment and it was completely silent. I thought I had made it to heaven and was finally at peace. However…..there was this strange feeling in my gut that wasn't the case. I peeked out my right eye and gasped. I was floating in an area that was filled with colors. Though that was honestly not the most surprising thing right now. Wanna know it?
Bill was here.
"Urg…..what?" He groaned and his eye opened and we stared at each other for moment.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" We screamed, and once that was out of our system we took another breath and looked around at all the different colors.
"Where are we?" I wondered.
"Probably in a banishment void since you let the Cipher Wheel happen and now thanks to you, we're gonna be trapped here for an eternity. Bravo Emerald!" Bill replied in a deadpanned tone while slow clapping, I rolled my eyes and turned to him in annoyance.
"I'm not the one who wanted to cause the destruction of the universe." I shot back and Bill glared angrily.
"Oh yeah!? Well…you…..did…..something that….I…wanted to….NO! Urg! What is going on!?" Bill screamed and gripped the top of his head. It's like he was trying to say something, but he couldn't for some reason. This was weird.
"Welcome Emily Jewel and Bill Cipher." A deep yet kind voice spoke through the void and we both looked behind me and my jaw dropped at the site at the famous Axolotl.
Okay this is weird, and cool, but mostly weird.
"Uh…hi?" I greeted and Bill laughed behind me.
"Oh-ho! Well if it isn't Ol' Frilly! My old pal!" Bill waved excitedly at the giant being.
"They're your pal?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, I called out for then and now they're here to…." Bill started, but was cut off.
"SILENCE." Axolotl bellowed and we flinched back as they stared down at us.
"The Cipher Wheel had been activated, and Bill Cipher called out to me. You were caught in the blast, Emily Jewel, and were brought here along with him." They explained.
"Okay, that makes sense….so what happens now?" I asked.
"I do what needs to be done." Axolotl replied and their frills waved around and Bill was suddenly encased in a weird bubble…I think…..it was weird and he seemed freaked out by it and started pounding on the walls.
"What? No! Hey! Let me out! Let me out! Let…..me….out…out…." Bill shouted and suddenly slowed down and closed his eye.
"Uh…..stupid question, but what's happening?" I asked. I feel like I should know this, but I'm drawling blanks.
"Bill has been infected by dark magic for too long, thankfully the Cipher Wheel was able to take him away from Gravity Falls so he wouldn't spread his weirdness. Now, I will help him rest and take away the darkness that infected him." The Axolotl explained as the bubble floated away to what I'm guessing is a secure location of the void.
"Wait, Bill wasn't always evil? A darkness infected him?" I questioned, geez I really wish I payed more attention to fan theories.
"Evil is not born, many times it is caused by pain, suffering, and much more. Bill was one of its many victims, though that tale is not one for me to tell." They replied.
"Fair enough….can I ask you a few more questions, cause I feel like I asked you more than one, but I thought that you only take one per person?" I asked.
"That rule applies when others come to me, I technically brought you here, so you may ask me more questions." They explained.
"What really?"
"Well, I make the rules here, so yes." Axolotl chuckled and I giggled. They did have a point there. I then glanced down at my necklace and sighed.
"I guess my main question is….where did this necklace come from? And why is it so powerful?" I asked, lifting the gem part of it up and Axolotl glanced down at it.
"While I know about it's powers, the emerald necklace's origins are somewhat of a mystery, even to me. There are many magical artifacts in your world…."
"Wait, hold up! You don't know where it came from, and there are more magical artifacts like my necklace back where I'm from?" I gasped.
"Indeed."
"Okay, but why was I sent here? I thought the necklace brought me here, but I guess you did too….."
"I did." They nodded.
"But why?" I asked.
"Because the one who originally was going to make sure the Cipher Wheel succeed…..was unable to go." They explained and it all clicked for me.
"You….you we're going to send Georgia, but she died…." I hung my head down. So I was just the next best thing…..?
"I do not see you as second best Emily." Axolotl said as if they could read my mind. "Your sister wanted you to go with her. Do you really believe I would have sent Georgia to Gravity Falls without you? She would not have allowed that." Axolotl asked.
"Wait…..Georgia knew she was going to go?!" I cried in disbelief. "How?! Why didn't she tell me!?"
"She was sworn to secrecy, at least until it was time for her to go. Georgia was a holder of the necklace, but when she realized she wouldn't be able to help us, she believed you could succeed even without her. I am sorry that I couldn't have done more for her…there are some things that are beyond my control." Axolotl explained.
"Wow…I never realized…." I muttered as I thought to myself. Georgia knew a lot more then she was letting on…..sure, I wasn't that happy knowing she kept a big secret from me, but if I were in her shoes…..I would have asked her to come with me too. I smiled sadly and felt the necklace. This bonds us forever, she was always with me, even if I didn't fully realize that.
"Thank you Axolotl, I just have one more question." I finally said.
"You have but to ask."
"Why did you need someone to activate the Cipher Wheel?" I asked. "Bill was defeated in…..I guess the original timeline, and it was scary, but they won. Right?"
"Bill wanted the Cipher Wheel to work."
"Wait what? How does that work?" I questioned.
"I'm afraid that is not my part to tell. If Bill can stop the Darkness from infecting him sooner than I anticipate, I'm sure you'll be the first he explains this to." They replied and I sighed, I should have seen that coming. Kinda had a lot to take in, but I got some answers I needed.
"Okay, I understand. So, what now?" I asked.
"Now, I give you a choice." Axolotl moved to the side and revealed 2 doors. Both plain looking, but I knew they were different. "These are 2 of the doors to realms outside my home. One will send you back to your home dimension, and will be like you had never left, the other will send you back to Gravity Falls."
2 doors, 1 choice.
No hesitation.
"Thank you Axolotl, for everything, but I think I've been gone long enough. I'm ready to go home." I said and they nodded and one of the doors disappeared, while the other one opened, revealing a bright light.
"Good luck Emily Jewel, and thank you." They waved as I walked to the door and I turned around and smiled, clutching my necklace happily.
"Your welcome, and thank you too. From both Georgia and me." I said and walked through the door.
Never looking back.
(Third Person)
Back in Gravity Falls, everyone was in somewhat celebration of the end of Bill's reign. However, the fact that someone most of then grew to care about was gone didn't give the day a positive spin. The Pines family in particular were hurt most of all. Stan and Ford were nearly speechless, Soos was sobbing while hugging Wendy tightly, who was trying to seek comfort as well, but couldn't.
Then there were the younger twins.
Mabel was crying in her brothers arms, and he tried to be strong for her he really did, but it was too hard for him. He felt just as guilty from Emily's…..death as she did, and now his sister needed him.
"Mabel….it'll be okay." He choked out.
"No…..it will never be again! Emily's gone, because of us! She may even hate us for what we did!" She cried.
"Hey, never think that!" A voice spoke up and they turned to see Nate walking up with Globby on his back. "Emily wouldn't want you guys to blame yourself, she loved you guys…"
"…but what about you Nate? You loved her too…..and you didn't even get to say goodbye…" Mabel said as she wiped tears away and Nate hung his head.
"Yeah, I loved her, I still do….but I know she….WHOA, LOOK OUT!" Nate suddenly cried and everyone gasped as a bright light appeared in the center of the Cipher Wheel and was growing larger. Everyone quickly backed away from it as they stared.
"Now what!?" Dipper exclaimed with worry and the light then turned bright green and swirled around and a familiar figure was seen floating and her eyes opened as she gasped.
"What the…..? Ah!" She cried as she fell on her back before sitting up up and rubbing her head.
"Ow….that hurt." She groaned and noticed that everyone had gasped and was staring with wide eyes.
"E-Emily?" Mabel asked, hoping with all her heart.
"Yeah….hi?" Emily said as she stood up. "What's going….?"
"EMILY!" Mabel cried and rushed as fast as she could before leaping up and tackling Emily back down, squeezing her in a hug.
"Whoa…..hey! Hey!" Emily laughed returning the hug, and had little time to react as Dipper, Soos, Wendy, and Globby joined the dog pile.
"I thought we killed you!" Mabel cried, tears down her face.
"Oh Mabel no…no….I'm okay. Just had a talk with an inter-dimensional being who caught me up on some stuff." Emily said as she ruffled Mabel's hair. "But I'm here, it's okay. And the town looks great!"
"Haha! You scared us half to death!" Stan laughed as he and Ford joined and Stan ruffled Emily's head. "Never do that again!"
"I won't…..hopefully." She said, muttering the last part.
"NEVER AGAIN!" Soos cried, squeezing her tightly.
"Emily?" The group that was hugging her, expect for Globby who was on her head, let her go and moved aside, revealing Nate.
"Oh….hey Nate." She said awkwardly and Globby leapt of her head while Nate just stared. Emily sighed as she rubbed the back of her head.
"Listen…I….whoa!" Emily gasped as Nate lifted her up, spinning her around while laughing.
"I can't believe it! You're here! You're back! You're amazing!" He cried and he placed her down, catching their breath, they stared at each other happily.
"I love you." Nate said sincerely and Emily smiled while her face flushed.
"I love you too!" The two then kissed as the whole town cheered for them.
"Awwwwwwww, they're perfect." Durland gushed and Blubs nodded.
"They sure are, let's give them some space." He replied and the two walked off, hand in hand, with some more of the town who were reunited and exhausted from the recent events and wanted to go home.
Those who remained saw Emily and Nate part their kiss and heard Mabel squeal happily.
"Just propose already!" That caused everyone to laugh while Nate and Emily blushed.
"Not now Mabel! Not now. We're too young!" Emily said, trying to hide her blush. She then turned to see McGucket, Gideon, and Pacifica walking towards her. McGucket wrapped his arms around her in a hug and Emily silently returned it.
"They can hit me with every memory gun they have, but I'll never forget you." He vowed and Emily felt tears in her eyes before wiping them away.
"I'm glad." She replied and turned to see Gideon and kneeled down to face him. "Hey…..you okay?"
"Um….yeah….yeah." He nodded and fiddled with his fingers like he was hesitant to do something. Emily smirked as she caught on.
"You know your allowed to hug me right?" She joked and Gideon looked up surprisingly and flung himself on Emily.
"I'm sorry!" He cried and Emily smiled.
"It's okay…." She chuckled and turned to Pacifica. "Come on, you too!"
Pacifica quickly joined up in the hug and laughed happily.
"Hug pile!" Mabel cried and Emily's eyes widened.
"Wait, wait, wait!" She cried, only to be tackled by the Pines Twins, Grenda, Candy, Soos, Wendy, Nate, Lee, Robbie, Tambry, Thompson, and Globby. They laughed in celebration and Emily gasped for breath several times, but just smiled all the way through it.
She was home, that's all that mattered.
"Gideon?" A voice called through the crowd and he looked up from the hug to see his father, who had called him, and his mother who gave a sad smile as she looked up at him.
"Daddy, Mommy!" Gideon rushed over to his parents and they grabbed him in a hug. Emily watched on happily and Robbie's parents pulled him aside along with Tambry and gushed over them, much to Robbie's embarrassment and Tambry's amusement.
"Soos?" A sweet voice called out and Soos gasped.
"Abuelita! You're not a chair!" He cried and gave her a big hug and kiss on the cheek. Wendy rushed over to her family as well as Lee. Candy and Grenda's parents came and their daughters ran over and hugged them happily while their parents burst intro tears.
"Nate! Nate!" Two voices called and Nate looked over and gasped.
"Mom! Dad!" He exclaimed and rushed over to them before giving them a hug. He lost track of them when they escaped and was relieved to see them alright and his mom cried happily.
"Oh thank goodness you're aright!" She cried, cupping his face with her hands and noticed that Emily was standing awkwardly to the side.
"You get in here!" She demanded and Emily beamed before joining the hug. "You're family too! Whether or not you have a ring on that finger or not!"
"Mom!" Nate blushed in embarrassment as his Dad laughed.
"Get used to it it kiddo." He laughed and Emily giggled at her boyfriends flushed face.
Yeah, she was home.
A FEW DAYS LATER
(Emily's P.O.V)
I had woken up early and saw the twins were still asleep and smiled fondly as I stretched up. Globby gurgled and latched onto my back as he does every morning. I smiled and gave him a nice pat so he let me go. I quickly got ready and headed downstairs with Globby on my back and got our breakfast ready. I poured myself some cereal and gave some beef jerky to Globby who munched on it happily. I glanced outside the window to see Soos, Stan, Ford and Wendy doing some decorations for Mabel and Dipper's Birthday. I smiled happily before sighing, knowing that if I went out to help, they shoo me back inside.
Ever since they thought I died, they may or may not have been over worrying about me, (especially on our most recent adventure….;) and that was fine. I get that me nearly sacrificing myself put them on edge, so I let it slide. They wouldn't stop me from having fun today, or helping with clean up either since I knew they would be tired. I sat down on the couch and flicked on the tv, seeing the News Channel with a smiling Shandra.
"Good morning, Gravity Falls. It's another beautiful day, but every day is beautiful now that the...unpleasantness is over." She began and I chuckled at that. It then switched to live with Mayor Tyler, making a familiar announcement.
"None of us really understand what just happened and none of us want to. That's why I'm passing the Never Mind All That Act. If anyone goes asking around about the 'events' of the last few days, what do we say?" He asked as a banner dropped and the crowd read it loudly.
"Never mind all that!"
"And if you break the rules, we're gonna zap you." Sheriff Blubs added, holding up his taser, while Deputy Durland started dancing with them.
"Zap! Zap! We're mad with power!" He cried and the two then clung into each other.
"And love."
"Yeah, they're engaged." I nodded knowingly, it may have happened offscreen, but I knew that after thinking they would never see each other again, both of them would want to get married.
That, and I over heard them planning their wedding when getting Mabel and Dipper's birthday gift.
"In other news, the Northwest family has gone broke. After pledging his allegiance to Bill and then placing all his savings in weirdness bonds, Preston Northwest had to sell his mansion to preserve his family fortune." Shandra continued and I laughed at Preston's misfortune as a 'FOR SALE' sign was placed in front of the manor gates as they cried helplessly.
"You're only going to have one pony now." Priscilla told her daughter, who was the only one I felt bad for, and Pacifica looked shocked and quickly ran off in a hurry. My guess, to find her favorite pony.
"But fortunes have also turned for local maniac, Fiddleford McGucket, who, after regaining his sanity, has made millions overnight submitting his patents to the US government." Shandra reported, and I smiled happily at that, both for my friends good fortune, and the joke coming up.
"I'm gonna buy me a bigger shed! Hey, that's ones for sale!" He cried, pointing at the manor, and I laughed happily.
"In other good news, town hero Emily Jewel is living happily at the Mystery Shack where Stan Pines will be throwing a party to celebrate his niece and nephew's thirteenth birthday and final day in town. But other than that, I can safely say our beloved Gravity Falls is back to normal. And now, Bodacious T, with sports." Shandra finished before turning to Toby, still dressed up, and holding a skull and bat.
"It's called, 'death ball'." He explained and I decided that was enough and shut off the tv before heading back to the kitchen and begun to wash my dishes. That's when I heard footsteps that were slow at first and quickly turned into quick steps and a familiar voice squealing.
"It's finally here! We're 13! We're 13!" Mabel cheered and ran into the kitchen dragging a half asleep Dipper with Waddles trotting after them.
"Yay….13." Dipper said, happily but yawned between his words and sat down tiredly.
"And why didn't anyone wake us up!?" Mabel demanded and I laughed.
"If I recall, you're the one who insisted on staying up until midnight so you could celebrate right away." I teased and Mabel shrugged it off.
"Pfft, that's was worth it! Now, we have the whole day to celebrate!" Mabel cheered and I smiled fondly.
"Well, I know it's not a special breakfast, but how about I make you eggs one last time?" I offered and both of them smiled happily.
"Eggs! Eggs! Eggs!" They chanted and I quickly got to work while humming the theme song to myself.
Today was gonna be great!
The rest of the morning flew by pretty quickly, everyone came inside and wished the twins a happy birthday and once breakfast was done, we finished up the decorations, Mabel having a lot of fun and the towns people started to pile in. Nate came with his parents and I rushed over to greet them and he spun me around happily. It was like I was in a Disney romance.
Wait…..I guess I kinda am….neat!
When all the guest have arrived, we all mingled for a while before Stan announced that it was cake time and the Birthday Twins went up to the front of the Shack and once everyone was ready, we sang.
"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Dipper and Mabel! Happy Birthday to you!" We sang and cheered as the twins looked at us with thankfulness.
"I can't believe you all got together just to throw a party for us." Mabel gushed.
"After all the Pines family has done for the town, it's the least we could do. You've helped everyone here." Tyler replied.
"Thanks to y'all savin' us, I'm gonna learn to open my heart to kindness. No more evil-doin'. From now on, I'm gonna try to be Li'l Gideon, regular ol' kid." Gideon added.
"I'm glad to here it, also no sending your former prison mates after kids who make fun of you." I warned playfully…and half actual warning.
"You got it!" Gideon smiled with a thumbs up.
"Dude! Make a wish, dawg." Soos urged.
Dipper spoke up first.
"You know, on my first day here, if you had asked me what I wanted, I would have said, 'adventure, mystery, true friends.' But looking here at all of you I realize that every wish came true." Dipper then chuckled.
"I have everything I wanted."
Then it was Mabel's turn.
"If I had only one wish it would be to shrink all of you with the shrink ray and bring you home with us in my pocket. But since that's impossible..." Mabel paused and turned to Ford. "Is that impossible?"
Ford gave a 'sort of' gesture while shrugging.
"Since that's probably impossible, my only wish is for everyone to sign my scrapbook. I'll never forget you guys. Wait." Mabel took out the memory gun and put on the floor before smashing it with her foot.
Did she keep the gun for that little gag even though it was never used?
Yes, yes she did.
"Now, I'll never forget you guys." Mabel declared then both she and Dipper blew out their candles. Wendy then quickly came over to hug them and I joined with the rest of the group.
"I now officially declare you technically teenagers. Welcome to angst and acne forever." Wendy laughed while ruffling their hair.
"One of us! One of us!" I chanted with her, Nate, Lee, Tambry, Robbie and Thompson.
"Woopee!" Blubs and Durland cheered, firing a cannon.
"So how do you feel?" Soos asked.
"Same-y, but different-y." Mabel replied and I chuckled.
"Well said Mabel, well said."
"Hey, you two. When are you gonna open your presents already? I broke a nail wrapping them." Pacifica called over jokingly as she showed her taped covered hands. The twins laughed at that along with me.
"Pacifica." Mabel smiled and the two grabbed their present and I picked one up from the pile too. As I did I caught a glance of Ford and Stan going behind the Shack to talk. I'm glad that they have made up and now we're preparing for a new adventure.
"Aww, a new gold club!" Mabel gushed. Dipper opened his and gasped.
"Ghost Harassers! With all new bonus content! Awesome!" He cried and they turned to Pacifica.
"Thanks!" They said.
"Eh, didn't mention it." She said, waving it off, but I saw a slight blush in her face. I then walked over to them and handed the present I picked up.
"I couldn't get you guys separate gifts, so here, hope you like it." I said and the twins grabbed it before ripping the paper off.
"It's the photo of all of us!" Mabel squealed and I smiled.
It was a picture frame, and in it was the famous picture of the theme song. Only this time I was in it. We took it with a times camera and I was in between the twins, winking and holding up a peace sign. I laughed as I remembered Dipper complaining that it looked like I was giving him bunny ears, but Mabel insisted it was the best photo ever and there was no way we were re-doing it.
"Wow, I almost forgot about this one…still looks like you're giving me bunny ears…" Dipper laughed.
"That's a part of what makes it awesome!" Mabel insisted and gave me a hug along with Dipper. "We love it!"
"I'm glad." I replied, returning the hug and I heard a singing noise and turned to see Stan tapping a Pitt cola bottle.
"Everyone, I have an announcement to make. Me and my...heh!... nerdy bro over here have some catchin' up to do. We're gonna be away for a while. That's why I'm shutting down the Mystery Shack for good." Stan announced and the crowed gasped before murmuring amongst themselves. Soos then ran onto the Shack's porch.
"You shut your mouth for good!" He cried and everyone gave him a question look while I held in a laugh.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Pines. It's just that this shack is the most magical place on Earth. Sure, the attractions are all fake, but dreams aren't fake!" Soos then held up the fake Merida attraction. "Like, this mermaid. It's not just a dead fish butt sewn to a monkey carcass. It's a marvelous creature that makes us believe that anything is possible. You shut down this shack, and you shut down our dreams! At least...my dreams."
"Awwww." The crowd gushed at Soos speech about his love for this place and I feel like I understood it more after working here all summer with him. Stan then sighed before turning to his Handyman.
"I'm sorry, Soos. It's just, there's no one around to run it. At least, there wouldn't be if I hadn't just found the perfect replacement." Stan said in realization and placed his Fez on top of Soos. "Ladies and gentleman, the Mystery Shack is under new management." He announced and the crowd cheered.
"Woo! Yeah Soos!" I clapped happily this was honestly so sweet!
"You...you mean it, Mr. Mystery?" Soos asked in disbelief.
"You're Mr. Mystery now, Soos. Try not to burn the place down." Stan replied and I I heard a moving van pull up with Abuelita carrying some items inside.
"I'll move in immediately." She said simply and I laughed as the party continued on and smiled sadly.
Cause soon, it would have to be over.
The bus stop, the final scene of Gravity Falls was here, and it was bittersweet. I knew it was coming, and that I could be here if I survived. Well I did, and now I was waiting for a bus to come and take two of my favorite people back home. I was there with Globby on my back and everyone else who said goodbye to them in the series, but a couple added people including Nate and Pacifica.
"Do you really have to go? There's still so much we haven't done together." Candy asked.
"Summer's over, Candy. It's time for us to grow up." Mabel replied simply.
"But not too much." Dipper added.
"Aaah! I hate my dumb heart for making me feel things!" Grenda cried and started punching herself where her heart would be. "Cut. It. Out. Heart!"
"Hey, can you punch my heart, too?" Soos asked and Candy grabbed Grenda.
"No, mine! Punch my feelings away." She pleaded and Pacifica sniffed a couple times before wiping her eyes.
"Should have worn waterproof mascara." She muttered and was pulled into a hug by Mabel with Candy and Grenda.
"Candy, Grenda, Pacifica, thank you for being my people. You'll always be my best friends." Mabel said sincerely.
"I wish I was your friend sooner. I just got close with you guys, and now you're leaving." Pacifica sighed. "You better keep in touch or I'm hunting you down!"
"You got it!" Mabel laughed and Dipper laughed a bit louder than normal before coughing to cover it up.
"Grunkle Stan, thanks for wearing my goodbye sweater." Mabel said turning to her Grunkle.
"Ah, it's cold out. I had to." Stan said quickly.
"What? But it's like eighty-something degrees out today." Soos questioned.
"Can it Soos!" The older Pines twins snapped while the rest of us laughed. Wendy then kneeled down to Dipper.
"Hey, you mean a lot to me, man." She said sincerely before she and Dipper fist pumped.
"You too." He replied and Wendy then switched their hats eagerly while smirking.
"Something to remember me by. Oh, and this." Wendy then handed him the letter. I smiled as I remembered when Wendy asked me to sign it. "Read it the next time you miss Gravity Falls."
"Ah dang, is it my turn to say goodbye?" I asked playfully and bent down to them.
"You guys have been a blast to hang around, and I can't even describe how much fun this summer has been cause we'd be here all day. I wouldn't change a thing about it I'll miss you guys, come here!" I said and the twins gave me a big hug while I held back tears.
"We'll miss you too Emily!" They said and I laughed happily.
"Never change you two." Nate added and we broke the head a bus then pulled up, opening its doors once it stopped.
"Last bus leaving Gravity Falls. All aboard." The driver announced and the twins turned back to us.
"Guess we've said goodbye to everyone except...Waddles." Mabel sighed as she saw her pet pig walk over. "I...I don't know how to explain this but...Mom and Dad won't let me bring a pig home to California so... you have to stay here!"
Mabel turned with tears in her eyes and Waddles cocked his head before walking over and pulling on her skirt, keeping her from entering the bus.
"Come on. Come on. I have to go. I'm...I'm sorry, Waddles!" Mabel cried with tears in her eyes. Then Stan had enough of seeing his favorite niece cry.
"Agh! You know what? Forget it! I lived with this pig all summer, now your parents are gonna have to!" Stan declared and picked up Waddles before placing him inside the bus. "Hey, bus guy! This pig is comin' with the kids."
"Now, hold on a second. Bringing animals aboard a moving vehicle is strictly prohibited by…." The driver was cut off by Stan revealing his brass knuckles, Ford showing his laser gun, and me glaring with Globby growling on top of my back. I know he's just doing his job, but a bond between a pig and a girl is at stake!
"Wah...w-w-welcome aboard. You can sit in the front row, pig." The bus driver greeted and Waddles walked towards the back. Stan then bent down and faced the twins.
"Kids, you knuckleheads were nothin' but a nuisance and I'm glad to be rid of ya." Stan said as seriously as he could while tears filled his eyes. Mabel and Dipper then pulled him into a hug.
"We'll miss you Grunkle Stan." Mabel said before she and her brother turned to the bus doors.
"Ready to head into the unknown?" Dipper asked.
"Nope, let's do it." Mabel replied and the two boarded the bus and it drive soon after. We waved and ran after the bus as fast as we could.
"Bye! Bye, everybody! We'll miss you." Mabel called out.
"Bye! I'll miss you guys, too!" Dipper cried and I smiled happily as I watched the bus disappear after we stopped running and sighed.
"You okay?" Nate asked and I nodded.
"Yeah, I'll miss them, but they'll be back…." I replied and he pulled me into a hug.
"I'll miss them too." He said and we held hands silently for a moment.
"So…wanna head back?" I asked, looking over at him.
"Yeah, I'm cool with that." He nodded and I smiled and we headed back into town. I felt my necklace pulse softly and suddenly got a strange feeling.
It wasn't over yet….
