Hi everyone. As I always say, I own none of these lovely characters, but I do love to borrow them and play!

Maura leans against the kitchen island sipping coffee with a smile on her face. Yesterday was the best Black Friday that she had ever experienced. Her body still tingled thinking about the way Jane woke her up in the middle of the night. They slept late on Friday and spent the day watching various movies with frequent kissing/fondling breaks. Maura shivers, thinking of how one of the fondling breaks got a little out of control. Yes, it was a very... pleasurable, day.

Maura picks up her phone and checks her text messages.

(518) 123-4567 - Dr. Isles, Your order is ready. You can pick it up any time from the store. Thank you for your purchase.

Maura quickly types back.

Thank you. I will be stopping by today to pick it up.

Maura deletes the conversation and looks through the sale papers. She finds a shoe store and concentrates on finding a pair she wants to buy.

Jane walks around the corner in a white terry cloth robe and wet hair. She leans down to kiss Maura.

"Morning, sweetheart. Why didn't you wake me?"

"You looked so peaceful. I wanted to give you a few more minutes."

Jane pours herself a cup of coffee. "What are the plans for the day?"

Maura pushes the sales paper to Jane. "I thought I might take a couple of hours this morning and do a little shoe shopping." She points to a pair of heels. "Aren't these adorable?" Shoe shopping. Yes. Focus on that and no hives.

"Uh, ya. Sure." Jane begins to fidget.

"Want to come along with me?"

"Well, uh, I really should clean my weapon. Put more gas in the snow-blower after cleaning up on Thanksgiving. Maybe get the Christmas decorations down. You know, chores. We'll connect up and do something when you get home." Jane runs her hand through her hair and smiles at Maura. Please don't make me go shoe shopping!

Maura strokes Jane's face. "Are you sure you don't mind? Don't work too hard." It worked. No hives and Jane doesn't want to come with me.

Jane kisses Maura again. "I'm sure. Have a good time! Remember how big the closet is!" Jane gives Maura a lopsided grin. It's a running joke that Jane's side of the closet gets smaller whenever Maura goes shopping.

Maura puts on her jacket and gloves and goes out to the Prius. It is cold, winter wonderland she drives out into. Maura's destination is a small jewelry shop she found while wandering around Boston with Jane. Parking is a challenge, but Maura is lucky and finds a lot about a block away. She walks quickly and tries to avoid the slushy puddles.

A bell rings when Maura enters the small shop. A few people are browsing the cases, being helped by the sales people. She gives a slight wave to Sage, the owner.

"Dr. Isles! It's a pleasure to see you. Give me one moment and I will show you your order." Sage disappears into the back, but is soon back with clear bag containing a jewelry box and paper.

Sage begins to pull the items from the bag. She spreads the paper on the glass counter for Maura to read. Sage finds a black velvet box from the bottom shelf and brings a light over. She places a necklace onto the black velvet.

"As you can see, Tobi set the emerald you picked out into the titanium setting you wished. The edges mirror the design of the ring she created for you. It will make a lovely match."

Maura is inspecting the craftsmanship of the pendant she ordered for Jane's Christmas present. Sage is right. The pendant will be a perfect match for the engagement ring. Jane won't know that because the pendant will come first. Maura's proposal plan is shaping up. She needed to work out a few details.

"This is perfect, Sage. Please let Tobi know that I am very pleased." Maura smiles in appreciation.

Sage puts the pendant back in the box to wrap. Maura takes out her charge card to give to the sales person. She glances down at her shoes to see them splattered with the salt mixture that was put in the sidewalks.

It looks like I will be shoe shopping today after all. Maura chuckles to herself. What a perfect morning, shoe shopping and supporting a small business with my Christmas shopping.

Hi everyone! Did you get a lot of shopping done yesterday? I did not go to the stores at all! How many of you took a cold shower after the last chapter ;) Thank you for the fun reviews. Have a great day!

My love to Belgium!
