Hi everyone. As I always say, I own none of these lovely characters, but I do love to borrow them and play!

She had been working on the pile of paperwork for hours, but it was not going down as fast as it should. Jane stands and stretches.

She looks over to Frankie, "I need to take a walk, but back in a few."

"Hey, you should go visit Ma. I hear she's baking some Christmas cookies today."

"Really? Know what kind?"

Frankie gives a shrug. "Does it matter? If Ma is baking, it's usually good."

Jane nods. Angela is a good cook, and it doesn't matter if it's a meal or a dessert. Jane takes the elevator down to see if Maura can break away for a little while.

She sees Susie and flashes her a grin. "Hi, Susie."

Susie looks a little low key and gives a half hearted response. "Hello, Detective Rizzoli."

Jane continues in to Maura's office. She leans down to give Maura a quick kiss. "What's up with Susie?"

Maura smiles upon Jane's entry and raises her face for the kiss. "Senior Criminologist Chang? I gave her the duty of giving our findings to Detective Crowe. I'm sure she is on her way to do that."

Jane looks at Maura's charge card near the computer. "Should I be worried?"

"About what, Jane?"

"Well, I see your charge card and you're at the computer. Are you shoe shopping."

Maura laughs. "Don't worry, Jane. I am not shoe shopping. Today is Wildlife Conservation Day and I am making a donation. I am also posting the website on my facebook page."

"On your 'Dr. Maura Isles' page?"

"No, I've put it on my 'Bass Isles' page. See how I've update it?" Maura turns her monitor so that Jane can see the page. Both women had created accounts with their pet's names so they could stay connected with their friends. Jane can see the link to the Wildlife Conservation site. Maura included information about not only how the animals are killed, buy also the Rangers that protect them. Jane realizes the impact is horrible! Of course, the biggest loss is the decimation of a species, but local communities depend on the wildlife for tourism and sustenance!

"So, what can we do to help?"

"Well, I am going to make a pledge, but not everyone can afford to do that. Do buy the product that species are hunted for, Spreading the word about this is a very simple thing to do."

Jane is nodding her head. She will go online tonight and share out what Maura has posted. Jane snaps back to her origiinal reason for the visit. "Hey, are you hungry for a snack? Rumor has it that Ma is baking."

"I would love to take a walk with you to visit your mother."

They walk into the cafe to wonderful baking smells. Angela walks from the back with a cookie sheet in her hand. She begins to stack the cookies on a raised glass cake plate.

"Girls! Just in time. Here, try one of these." She hands each girl a warm cookie. They take take a bite.

"Mmmm, Ma! This is delicious! It's like tasting Christmas!"

"Oh, I like that description, Janie."

"Yes, Angela. These are wonderful. What is in them?"

"They are oatmeal cookies with cranberries and white chocolate chips in them."

Angela puts half a dozen cookies in a bag for the ladies. "Now, you can eat these later or share them with the guys."

Jane holds the bag closer as she finishes a second cookie.

"Jane! I can bake more at home if you like them that much!"

Jane happily nods.

Hi Everyone. Getting bored yet? As you can see, trying to post a little chapter everyday to build up.

OK, to the reviewer who didn't understand Cyber Monday. Holiday Hijinks is a very light-hearted story. I really don't want the ladies to be really mad at each other. They understand each other. Maura assessed the situation, made sure Jane was ok and that Jane was just being Jane and she Let It Go! Jane will always be Jane and get into scrapes. Maura will always spend money and Jane has learned to Let It Go. Maura has enough money to spend all she wants.

My apologies and I will cease and desist now. Happy Wildlife Conversation Day AND Cookie Day!

Hugs to all.

My love to Belgium
