I own neither of these lovely ladies or any other characters, I just really enjoy playing with them!

Jane and Angela are sitting at the kitchen table sipping coffee when Frankie bursts through the door.

"Sorry I'm late..." He stops as he looks at the scene before him in confusion.

Jane gets up to pour him a cup of coffee. "Don't worry, Frankie. Maura knows your morning routine, so she calculated your lateness and told you a half hour early to accommodate it. You still have time to enjoy a cup of coffee."

Frankie shrugs to acknowledge Maura's prediction as he takes the cup and gratefully sips his morning dose of caffeine. "Ma, what are you doing here?"

"Well, of course I set my alarm so I could come to say goodbye to my girls."

"Want to take a ride with me to the airport?"

"Nah, I'm going to go back to sleep. I'm planning on spending the day in fleece, do a little organizing, some reading, whatever I want."

Jane nods, liking her Mom's plan. "You know, Ma, you can make yourself at home in the living room. Start a fire and watch TV on the big screen."

"Thank you, Janie, maybe I'll do just that."

Frankie looks around. "Where's Maura?"

Jane runs her hand through her damp curls. "She's upstairs triple checking the bags. We thought about it last night, and thanks to 'connections' that Maura has, we are going to fly directly to Paris from St. Lucia to cut down on some time in the air instead of flying home to pick up the flight."

Frankie nods, but raises an eyebrow. "Bags? You're not staying that long, you're checking more than one?"

Jane casually shrugs. "Let's just say that she plans on doing a little shopping."

Frankie chuckles. "That's gonna be allot a shoes and dresses for her to fill 2 check bags."

Jane brings her coffee mug to her lips to cover the blush she feels creeping up her face. She is remembering the conversation she had with Maura last night, when she suggested the exact same thing that Frankie has just voiced. 'Actually, Jane, there's this little lingerie shop I was planning on visiting. This is where I always go to restock my French lace bras you enjoy so much.' Jane had grinned and wriggled her eyebrows at this news, ready to bring an extra bag just for that shop alone. Maura gave Jane an appraising look from head to toes and back again. 'In fact, I'm going to have her measure you. I want to see my detective in some French lace also. I've been fantasizing about you wearing a very sexy lace bra under your tank at work.' Jane's mouth had dropped open thinking of herself in a bra like Maura's.

Jane snapped back to the present as Maura walks into the kitchen. "Good morning, Frankie. Thank you so much for bringing us to the airport."

"Eh, no problem. Jane's is my favorite sister, so..."

Maura gets a perplexed look on her face. "She is your only sister."

Jane kisses Maura's forehead. "It's a saying, a joke sweetheart."

Maura nods.

Frankie continues, "Are you looking forward to your vacation, Maura?"

Maura takes a seat with her coffee. "Yes, Frankie. I can admit that I am ready to get away for a while. I want to let go of all my responsibilities for a short while."

Jane chokes on her coffee as she has another flashback. Damn, Maura wants to give up all responsibilities. I have to go add something to my luggage.

Maura is pounding on her back. "Are you all right, Jane?"

"Yeah, yeah. Just went down the wrong way. Um, if your bag is all set, why don't I go bring them down while you finish your coffee?" Jane is bounding up the stairs two at a time before Maura gets a chance to say thank you.

Once in their bedroom, Jane quickly goes to her bureau in their walk in closet. She rummages in the back of the second drawer and pulls out a small leather bag. This bag contains Maura's special 'bracelets' and assorted restraining straps to attach to the bed. Jane shoves the bag deep in her check in bag. 'What if they really search the bags? Will they take it out? Call me into security?' Jane begins to panic, her imagination running wild. She paces for a minute before she snaps her fingers. Jane slides her badge into her back pocket in hopes that no one will at the TSA will question the contents of the bag if she uses her BPD badge as part of her ID when she checks in. Grabbing Maura's bags first, Jane hurries back down to the kitchen.

"Here ya go, Frankie. Why don't you start loading the car and we'll get this show on the road."

"On, it!" Frankie gets his jacket back on.

The next few minutes are a scramble loading the car, verifying phone numbers for Angela, and getting jackets on.

Angela kisses each of the women. "Have fun girls."

"We will, Angela."

"Let me know when you get both places."

"Yes, Ma."

"Use sunscreen on the island."

"Yes, Angela."

"Send postcards."

"MA! We love you, but we gotta go! It's the middle of the night, go back to bed!"

"All right, all right. Love you, girls." Angela heads out the door and back to the guest cottage.

Jane and Maura get settled in the warm car with Frankie. "Ya know, Frankie, you could have spent the night here. I don't think any of us really slept much."

Frankie clears his throat. "Well, Janie, who says I got any sleep?" Frankie winks at his sister.

Jane leans over the seat and punches him in the arm. "You dog, you. Who is she?"

Maura is confused again. "Jane, why is he a dog just because he didn't sleep?"

"He had a date last night, Maur."

Frankie clarifies. "Well, it wasn't exactly a date. I only paid a visit to a friend to wish her a Merry Christmas."

"Uh, huh. We'll talk about her when we get back, little bro."

With a chuckle, Frankie pulls up to the Departure check in of the airport. He helps Jane get the bags from the car and gives them each a hug. The next 45 minutes consist of a hurry up and wait pattern as the ladies go through check in, security and rushing to the gate to wait. Every now and again, Maura casually strokes Jane's forearm when she senses Jane's frustration and anxiety rising. Jane finally breathes a sigh of relief as she settles in her seat next to Maura.

Maura reaches over to take hold of Jane's hand to still her nervous fingers. "Are you all right, Jane?"

Jane runs her left hand through her hair and slumps slightly in her seat. She lowers her voice in embarrassment, "You know that take off and landing makes me nervous. I mean, scientifically, I understand the dynamics of flight, but there's that little piece of me that still says that a giant chunk of metal should not be able to remain airborne!"

Maura's thumb continues to rub soothing circles on Jane's hand. "Since you understand the dynamics of flight, I won't explain it in detail. Why don't you tell me what we should do the first day?"

Jane gets lost in Maura's hazel eyes and begins describing the beaches and all the activities they could do. She loses focus when the flight attendant begins to talk, but Maura gently turns her face back to her own and Jane begins talking again. Jane can feel a few bumps, but Maura is asking her a question and she concentrates on Maura's lips. Jane knows that Maura is trying to distract her and totally appreciates the effort. In no time at all, they are up in the air being served breakfast.

Jane makes a face at the airplane food in front of her. "I forgot how much I dislike the meals on planes." She continues to poke at her plate. "The scrambled eggs are cold."

Maura reaches down and pulls a paper bag out of her carry on. She spreads the contents on her tray. "What would you like?"

Jane looks with amazement at the goodies that are on the tray. "When did you pick these up?"

"You were busy looking at magazines to buy, so I took the time to pick up a variety of snacks for us. As you can see, I have muffins; blueberry for you, apple-cinnamon oat bran for me, and two chocolate croissants for after lunch."

Jane looks into Maura's eyes with complete adoration. "I love you."

Maura laughs as she hands Jane the muffin. "I love you too, Jane. I believe it is safe to drink the orange juice and coffee. We should try to nap after breakfast so we'll be rested when we reach the island."

Jane looks doubtful. "I don't think I'll be able to sleep. I'm too wound up." Breakfast is finished, cleared and seats reclined. Maura leans into Jane to use her shoulder as a pillow. Jane feels her body relax in sync with Maura's body. Soon, Jane's head falls back against the seat cushion, joining Maura in slumber.

A few hours later, the increased activity of the cabin, wakes the two women. Jane watches as Maura methodically stretches her muscles.

"Jane, we should get up and walk around the cabin. It is very important to our health to do some mild exercises during the flight, would you care to join me in a stroll?"

"It will be my pleasure." Jane backs up into the aisle to let Maura out.

"Let's go this way so we can use the facilities."

"I don't have to go."

"Jane, you've had coffee and orange juice. It would be beneficial to relieve yourself."

"Nope, I have a strong bladder. I don't have to go."

Maura raises an eyebrow. Jane looks around to see if anyone is paying attention to their conversation. She leans toward Maura to whisper in her ear, "I've never gone to the bathroom on a plane."

"What? Never? Why not?"

Jane looks around. "Shhhhh! It's no big deal! Most of the plane flights I've been on are under 4 hours, no problem."

Maura sighs. "All right, Jane. I'm going to use the facilities. I'll meet you back here in a few minutes."

Jane strolls toward the front of the plane, stretching her legs. She casually tries to peek into first class.

"May I help you?"

Jane jumps. "What? Um, no. Just getting a little exercise." Jane flashes her best Rizzoli smiles.

The Flight Attendant returns the smile. "We are about to serve lunch, so you may want to get back to your seat."

"Sure, sure." Jane makes her way back down the aisle, looking at her fellow passengers as she walks along, wondering about their stories. She sees the lunch cart coming from the other direction and slides into her seat next to Maura.

"Are you getting excited, Maur? A couple more hours and we will be in our room on the beach."

Maura leans close to Jane, "I'll be excited to be in the room alone with you, Jane."

Jane's eyes widen and then darken to a deeper brown, she rubs her hands together, "So, can we make this thing go any faster?" She wriggles her eyebrows. Maura laughs.

"On an average, this plan is flying at 570 mph or 920 km/h. Is that fast enough for you?"

As Jane was about to reply, the flight attendant wheels the food dolly to their row. Jane peeks under the lid, "If I finish all my lunch, do I get my chocolate croissant dessert?"

Maura smiles, "Make sure you finish your vegetables, Jane, and you can have your dessert."

The next couple of hours fly by. Jane survives the landing of the plane, customs and finding the limo to the hotel. The ride is short and soon they are checked into their room. Maura checks the cleanliness of the bathroom as Jane tests the bed by bouncing on it.

Maura moves to the window. "Oh, Jane, we have a beautiful view of the beach." Jane walks over and wraps her arms around Maura's waist.

"Hmmm, it is beautiful. Now, as much as I would like to pull you to the bed and have my way with you, I am going to be strong and suggest that we freshen up to explore the resort."

Maura turns in Jane's arms. "But what if I wanted to have my way with you?" Maura quirks her eyebrow, but laughs as she pushes Jane away as she feels Jane's arms tighten.

"You are a strong woman, Jane. We have all night to explore the room, let's go enjoy the warmth!"

I am so sorry. I had such horrible writer's block. I envisioned our favorite ladies sitting in the Dirty Robber, talking and laughing. The only problem? I was on the outside and couldn't hear them! This chapter was a struggle, I hope that now we are on the island, it will flow more easily.

Hugs to any of you that are still with me!

My love to Belgium...
