"So, for this next viewing, everyone who doesn't really care about the Xiao Longs can leave." Orb said as everyone but NPR, RWBY, Tai, Raven and Qrow left.
"Uhh, why? In particular? Should I leave?" Qrow asked, but Tai held him down. "Dude, you're part of the family. Stay."
The scene opened up with a quiet and peaceful day. The Xiao Long log cabin was shown on this peaceful morning. The scene then showed Tai and Raven cuddled up under the blankets, sunlight streaming through the window.
"W-what is this?" Raven said, her heart aching at the scene.
"This is what you gave up." Orb said from behind her. She turned to him. Oh no, she could feel the tears enter her eyes.
"Why are you showing me this?" She asked, gulping. She was scared of the answer, perhaps this god like being was just an asshole
"Because I enjoy it when the world has a happy ending. Because it is kind of my job to show people a seperate and detached viewpoint on the world." Orb sighed. "Now be quiet and watch."
"Erff. Huff." came a sound as a tiny 5 year old Yang climbed onto the bed. "Mama, Papa! Good morning!" Yang smiled loudly as she shook the two.
Ravens hand squeezed Tai's. The blonde looked at his ex wife. She gulped, staring dead ahead at the screen.
"Alright, alright. We're up Firecracker. What do you want?" Raven muttered, patting the head of her daughter lazily.
"Jauney coming over today!" Yang shouted, all smiles. She ran out of the room almost immediately after, getting the confirmation of what she wanted
"Jauney? Yang knew Jaune in this timeline?" Pyrrha asked, suddenly alert to the potential threat to her conquest.
"Jauney? Who is Jauney." Tai said sleepily. Then his eyes shot wide open as he sat up quickly. "Raven, Who is Jauney?" He said, an edge on his voice.
"Some boy she met at the park a couple days ago. Me and his mother got the two together for a playdate today." Raven mumbled, pulling her husband back down into the bed.
"Good. Lord knows it's hard for Yang to make friends."
"Really? I always assumed that everyone liked you. You certainly had friends at signal." Blake said. Yang shrugged at this, "Never had many friends growing up. I only really started getting popular at Signal."
"Huh. more you know."
"Hrmmm." Raven said, snuggling into her husband.
"I need to get up and make breakfast. Ray."
"Hrmmmm."
"I'm not getting up anytime soon, are I?"
"Nope."
The scene cuts to Tai in an apron standing over a stove. Raven sneaks up behind him to give him a hug. "Eggs?" Tai asked
"Please"
The three of them sat at a table eating breakfast when the rest of the family came down stairs. Summer Brawnwen and her husband Qrow, with their three year old daughter Ruby.
"Auntie Summer! Uncle Qrow! Good morning!" Yang smiled, greeting her Uncle and Aunt
"Wait, I got married to Summer in this timeline?" Qrow asked, somewhat stunned.
"Yeah. Because Raven did not leave Tai, Summer could not get… well, 'sloppy seconds', quote unquote. So she settled for you. In other words, you're not a raging alcoholic here though."
"Huh". Qrow looked at his flask before taking a swig
"Good morning yang. Say hi to Yang Ruby." Summer said, turning her attention to a three year old Ruby. she looked at the ball of sunshine. "Good Morning yang!" she said, waving her arms at her 'sister'.
"Oh my god, Baby ruby is so cute!" Nora squealed.
"She is right. Summer's kid is really cute." Raven thought as she leaned into Tai. Tai stiffened, and looked at his ex. She never did this when they were married. What exactly was this place doing to her? "Uhh, Ray? You ok?"
Raven only nodded as she burrowed into her husband. Qrow was having an aneurysm behind them. Raven, in a functioning family?! What fuckery is this?!
The large family sat down to eat, making small talk. A knock came from the door. "That's Jauney!" Yang said, shooting up and towards the door.
"Jauney?" Qrow asked in confusion
"A friend she made last week." Raven said, not even looking up from her newspaper and coffee.
"Jauney! Come on! There's so much to do now that you're here!" Yang's voice came from off screen, and in came child Yang and Child Jaune
Nora squealed again. "They're adorable! Look how tiny Yang is! And Jaune! I just want to pinch their cheeks!"
"Nora, please." Pleaded Ren, hoping to calm his partner.
"Mama, Papa! This is Jauney! We'll be in the yard!" Yang said as she dragged the poor boy through the back door.
"Strong little girl, ain't she?" came a voice as an older looking Jaune stood in the doorway. He smiled as he shook Tai's hand
"Holy hells, that's what Jaune grows up to be?" Yang said as Ruby and Pyrrha blushed. They were thinking lewd thoughts.
"Nicolas! It is good to see you!" Tai said, shaking the man's hand. "What time do you want your son back?"
The man shrugged "whenever it's convenient. Here's my number in case you need me." At this, Nicolas gave his fellow blonde a little index card with a couple names and numbers on it. "It's nice to see Jaune playing with friends. He finds it… hard sometimes. Thanks for having him. Anyway, got to go. See you later!" and with that, Nicolas Arc left the Xiao-long household.
The scene cut to Yang running after Jaune. They ran up a hill where a single oak tree grew, and collapsed down by it.
"You want to play a game?" Yang asked, looking at her following blonde.
"Sure! What kind of game were you thinking of?"
"I don't know." Yang started, confusion and pondering on her face. It lights up suddenly, "one where I'm a Bandit Queen!"
Raven raised an eyebrow at this. Was this what children were like? Really? Had she been like this? She could not remember ever being like this.
Tai just chuckled, remembering that phase of Yang. She always pretended to some pirate or bandit queen at this age.
"Oh? Can I be like a knight or something then?" Jaune asked, hopeful. He was tired of being made the prince or princess in the games he played with his sisters.
"Sure, why not. Anyway, come on! We have so much to do Sir Knight!" Yang said, dragging the poor blonde into the forest. The scene cut to the two following a small stream, walking over moss patches and stones. They were talking and laughing as Jaune swung a stick around. "Your majesty." Jaune said, bowing for Yang to a fallen tree across a small ravine. She giggled and gave a little courtesy thing before crossing. They wandered to a moss covered clearing, the sun shining golden yellow.
"Care for a dance, your majesty?" Jaune bowed for a dance, hand extended
"The Bandit Queen thinks she will." Yang smiled, taking his hand.
The armrest Pyrrha had cracked and Ren held her down. Yang gulped, looking at the spartan's black rage, before turning her attention back to the screen. She would not look into the face of death if at all possible. Taiyang just cracked his knuckles.
The two of them started to do an unpracticed and clumsy dance, laughing as they spun and twirled. The two heard the sound of someone calling their name, probably Tai. they ran off in the direction of the sound.
The scene cut to an older Jaune and Yang playing a board game, a necklace hung on Yangs neck, two fangs on either side of a bright orange crystal
"Huh, I don't recognize that necklace. Where did I get it?" Yang asked.
Orb answered "Jaune gave it to you for your seventh birthday. He made it by hand for you. Not that anyone knows it at this point, but the crystal is a rare type of dust."
"Energy dust?" weiss guessed, being able to think of only one dust that fit the crystal description. Orb nodded as they watched. Pyrrha was breaking silently inside. "Why can't it be me with a necklace?"
"Aaaaaand I win, again." Jaune said, moving a piece and playing a couple cards.
"Nooo! How? Again? I had you beat to rights!" Yang said, looking over the board frantically, trying to figure out where it all went wrong.
"If you paid attention, you would have noticed the trap I had set up a couple turns ago." Jaune smiled.
"You.. you.." Yang started. Raven laughed at her daughters inability to defeat her long time friend and rival. Tai sneaked up behind her, wrapping his arms around his wife's waist. Burying his face in her long black hair, he murmured something in her ear.
Raven turned bright red with steam coming out of her ears. "Tai!" she giggled
"Ewwww, Mom! Dad! We have guests over!" Yang stuck her tongue out at her parents being mushy in disgust.
Seeing the cute sight, Raven also blushed deeply. Is this what she really missed? She shook her head, wrapping Tai around her as best as possible. Tai just blushed, looking at his wife.
Qrow was wondering if this is what a stroke felt like as he sputtered in disbelief at how his sister was acting. What was up with this place? How was it affecting her?
Was it affecting him?
The scene cut to a seventeen or so old Yang talking on the phone. "So.. how's the family front on Beacon going, Jaune?"
"Terribly. They won't hear a word of it." the telephoned voice came from the scroll. "I owe so much to your mother for giving me some training."
"Don't let her hear that. She hates it when people need her help. Secretly though, I think she likes it, being needed like that." Yang laughed.
"Yeah, I know." Jaune said, before being quiet for a moment. "Yang." he swallowed
"Yes, Jaune?"
"What would you say if i did something really stupid?"
"Like how stupid?"
"Like applying to Beacon stupid." silence ruled the conversation as Yang processed what Jaune had just admitted to.
"You did what?"
"JAUNE TIBERIUS ARC! YOU WILL GET FUCKING DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT, YOU BASTARD!" Came the scream of Julia Arc, enraged.
"Jaunes middle name is Tiberius?" Ren asked no one.
"I better see to that. Be sure to show up at my funeral." Jaune said solemnly, the joke dieing in the air.
The scene cut again, to a soaking Jaune Arc knocking on the Xiao-Long door. Yang opened it, her face shifting from a plastered smile to concern
"Hey." Jaune croaked.
"Why don't you come inside." Yang smiled, bringing him into a hug. The door closed behind them.
"That should be me. Why can't it ever be me?" Pyrrha whispered, her fists clenching. Tai and Ruby, however, were getting suspicious. This version of Jaune seemed very close to Yang.
Another scene cut to Tai, Raven and Jaune all sitting at a breakfast table.
"I couldn't really. You've already done so much for me-" Jaune started. Tai interrupted the fellow blonde.
"Nonsense. Jaune, you've come this far. You've done so much for our family. You've done so much for Yang." At this, Raven nodded, looking piercingly at Jaune. "No one in the house will have qualms about you staying for a bit. Until you get into Beacon at least!" Tai said before standing up. "Speaking of which, how did your EhE go?"
Jaune made a so so gesture with his hands. "Better than I thought it would, worse than I hoped."
"EHE?" Ruby asked, unsure of what it was.
"External Hunters Exam. It's the test that you can take to enter if you never went to a combat prep school like signal. It's what I took. Lots of paperwork." Blake answered, remembering the ungodly amount of paperwork that was applying.
"Hrmm." Raven said. "Well, it's late Jaune. You should probably go to bed."
"Right." Jaune walked over to the couch, laying down.
"Son, that's that what-" Tai started, but Raven put her finger to his lips.
"We'll fix it later. Now, come on Tai, we've got some...things...to do." Raven smiled, turning on her best bedroom eyes.
Qrow at this point just flat out fainted, while Tai turned a bright bright red. Raven just did her best to disappear, hoping that if she stayed still long enough she would become invisible. Yang and Ruby's jaws were hanging open.
"Ray?" Tai squeaked out, looking at his wife. She turned even redder.
The scene cut to a traumatized Jaune laying on the couch. Erotic sounds came from the upstairs
"HARDER BABY! HARDER! OHHHHH MY OUM YES!"
If Qrow was not already unconscious, he would have died on the spot. Tai had steam coming out of his ears, and blood from his nose. Everyone else was in various states of shock, Yang being in near comatose, and Ruby was out for the count.
There was a creaking on the stairs as Yang descended.
"Could I stay here tonight?" She asked, bringing a pillow and blanket with her.
"I'm going to warn you now Fire Dragon, it ain't much quieter down here." Jaune said, emphasised by another round of loud moaning.
"Hrmm… Fire Dragon. I kind of like it." Yang said, rolling the title around like it was a piece of meat, tasting how it felt. It felt… kind of good.
"No, no no. Jaune is mine" Pyrrha muttered as Ruby could feel in her soul clench as her beloved sister started to feel what she felt.
Jaune shuffled to make room for Yang as she flopped down onto the couch. The scene faded into a sunrise.
There was a creaking as an absolutely glowing Raven descended down the stairs, still in the throws of last night.
"Ohhhohhhohh. This is great." she smiled as she snapped a picture on her phone. Tai came down the stairs, and saw exactly what Raven was smiling about. He turned a bright angry red, "that bastard is going to-" Raven was forced to shut him up with a searing kiss.
"Let them be. Food. now."
A cut showed an alone Yang getting up to the sound of talking from the kitchen. She sleepily walked over to where her Family plus Jaune sat around, Tai and Jaune cooking at the stove. "Morning Fire Dragon." Jaune smiled as she mumbled a good morning back. She took a cup of coffee that Jaune brought over for her, just as she liked it. A chair was pulled out, and Jaune sat next to Yang. "soo, Someone had fun last night." Qrow grumbled as no one met Tai and Raven's eyes. "A little warning next time so we can sleep in a hotel." Summer grumbled as she dug into her food.
Yang's phone buzzed as she looked at it. It was a text from her mother. A quizzical look was sent to the raven haired girl. Yang opened the text, turning bright red as a sharp keening whine came from her. "You ok, Yang?" Jaune asked, noticing his friend's reaction. Visible steam started to pour out of her ears. The camera zoomed in on the phone, which had a picture of Yang laying atop Jaune, her face buried into the crook of his neck.
Yang had turned bright red at the scene, wondering what it would be like to have Jaune wrap his arms around her. Ruby was fuming, wishing it was her in that picture, and Pyrrha had sworn to go on the warpath, doing her best to escape Nora and Ren's grasp. The scene ended at that.
