Tutoring Chapter 21
Percy, Luke, Thalia and Jason sat up in the stands as Annabeth, and Piper started warming up for their 4x1 race.
"Did anyone ever realize how boring track meets are?" Jason asked as he laid down on the bleacher playing on his phone.
"Watching them race is fun, but the in between sucks" Percy said as he watched Annabeth jog up and down the track.
"You two are only upset because your girlfriends are down there warming up and not up here making out with you" Thalia said leaning against Luke.
"Yeah and watching you two make out is about to make me throw up. No brother should have to watch his sister make out with someone" Jason said standing up "You wanna walk around for a bit Perce?"
Percy nodded quickly standing up "Diffidently" he said following his cousin.
"So I was wondering would you be willing to crash in Annabeth's room, so Piper and I can be alone tonight?" Jason asked.
Percy shrugged "As long as Annabeth's cool with it".
"I like this new you?" Jason said after a couple of minutes.
Percy frowned "What do you mean?"
"I haven't seen you being the old you in almost a year Perce. You're caring again, and smiling more. And you're diffidently not making crude comments anymore. If I would have asked you to stay in Rachel's you would have made some nasty comment about you getting lucky. I like the old you the one who respects women and is a genuinely kind person, and I'm seeing that person again" Jason said.
"I'm trying to be the old me again Jason, I really am. And being around Annabeth makes me want to be that person. I really care about her Jason, I don't want to screw this up" Percy said seriously.
Jason smiled patting his shoulder "I'm really happy for you Perce, and I really hope you don't screw this up, Annabeth is a really awesome girl".
"I know she is, and trust me I'm doing everything I can not to screw this up. Besides I think if I did my mom would disown me, she loves Annabeth" Percy said.
Jason laughed "Of course Aunt Sally would. We should probably be getting back to the bleachers so we don't miss their race" Jason said.
"Yeah your right, you think their coach will let them switch rooms?" Percy asked, the question just coming to him.
"Oh come on Perce you're the expert of sneaking around, I'm sure you can think of a way" Jason said with a grin.
Percy rolled his eyes "I can't believe your seriously asking me this right after you just said how happy you are that I'm changing".
Jason shrugged "There are some parts of the jackass you that I like especially if it means I don't get in trouble".
Percy laughed "You're unbelievable".
Jason just smiled as they made their way back to their seats. Of course Annabeth and Piper's 4x1 team one their race, but now it was time for their individuals, which Annabeth came first in all of them and Piper came in second in all of them behind Annabeth. Which meant both girls would be going to the state competition. Since Annabeth placed first in all of her events Goode High School's girls track team won the district championship, and had a very good chance at winning State.
After the meet Percy ran onto the track straight towards Annabeth picking her up and spinning her around "Way to go wise girl, you were amazing and you kicked everyone's ass" Percy said smiling.
Annabeth laughed wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck "Thanks Perce" she said lightly kissing his lips.
"Okay you two get a room or at least save it for our victory party in our room later" Travis Stoll from behind them.
Percy set Annabeth back on the ground "And how exactly are you going to have a party in your room without the coach knowing?"
"Come on man are you seriously doubting our party throwing skills right now man. Were the Stoll's we throw the best parties there are" Connor said crossing his arms over his chest.
Percy rolled his eyes at their dramatics "I don't know, what do you say wise girl, you wanna go to the Stoll's party?"
Annabeth shrugged "Sure why not".
"Alright text me the details later guys" Percy said.
The Stoll's grinned "Sweet see you later Perce" Travis said as they walked towards another group of people to tell them about the party.
"So did Piper talk to you about switching rooms?" Percy asked.
Annabeth smiled "Yes she did".
"If you're not comfortable with it, I can stay with the Stoll's or something" Percy said quickly not wanting to freak her out.
"No I'm okay with it Perce" Annabeth said laughing.
Percy instantly relaxed "Okay cool. So what do you want to do know, oh great one?" Percy asked teasingly.
Annabeth rolled her eyes "I need to change and then how about we get everyone and go get some food, I'm starving".
"Exactly what I was thinking, you get Piper and I'll find Thalia and Luke. Who hopefully aren't making out somewhere again" Percy said shuddering.
Annabeth laughed "What can't stand your cousin making out with her boyfriend in front of you?"
"I see Thalia as a sister of course I can't" Percy said quickly.
"Well what do you think she would do if she saw you and I making out?" Annabeth asked with a grin.
Percy smiled wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into his chest "I don't know but we can find out" he said slowly moving his lips towards hers.
Annabeth smiled moving towards him as well. But right when Percy lips were inches from hers she pulled out of his arms making Percy stumble forward, "Sorry Perce but I need to go change" she said with a big smile on her face as she turned around to find Piper and go change.
"That's just cruel wise girl" Percy yelled after her but all he got was a wave of her hand as she found Piper.
Shaking his head Percy pulled out his phone calling Thalia "Hey where you at?"
"Were by the locker rooms why?" Thalia said.
"After Annabeth and Piper change were going to get something to eat, you comin?" Percy asked.
"Yeah that sounds good" Thalia said.
"Okay I'm on my way there call Jason and tell him to meet up there as well" Percy said.
"Okay sounds good" Thalia said hanging up the phone.
After pushing his way through the crowd Percy finally found Thalia and Luke standing with their arms wrapped around each other "Hey where's Jason?"
"I'm right here" Jason said as he pushed through a crowd of parents "I hope the girls hurry up I'm starving".
"I heard someone talking about a café around the block from here, you guys wanna go there?" Luke asked.
"Yeah that sounds good" Percy said pulling out his phone and texting his mom that he was safe and they were going to get some food for the hundredth time that day.
"You guys aren't from around here are you, because if you were I'd diffidently remember you two" A girl with long black hair and dark brown eyes said from behind Percy and Jason. The girl next to her had blonde hair and blue eyes, both girls were pretty but Percy knew their type. They were they exact type of girl he used to go for before Annabeth, hot, sexy, and confident, dumb as a rock, and wore to small of clothes.
Percy turned around to fully look at them "Uhh no were not, were from Goode High School actually".
"Wow if there's more guys that look like you three, I think were gonna have to transfer" the blonde girl said as she twirled a strand of hair around her finger while looking Jason up and down.
"I'm sorry but who are you exactly and what the hell do you want?" Thalia asked annoyed at how the two girls were looking at her boyfriend, cousin, and brother.
"I'm Ashley and these is Niki" the brown haired one said "And were just looking for a good time. From what I hear you guys are throwing a party in your hotel, and we were wondering if you two would be able to show us a good time" she said with a grin as the blonde haired one moved closer towards Jason making his eyes widen and his body stiffen.
"Look were flattered and maybe a little repulsed but were here with our girlfriends, so no thanks" Percy said.
The brown haired girl Ashley stepped closer to him eyeing him up and down "Trust me I can do things that you never imagined. Forget about the little girlfriend for tonight and come hangout with a real woman" she said.
Thalia made a gagging noise "Yeah and risk getting some kind of disease".
"Stay out of it Goth bitch, this has nothing to do with you. But if your boyfriend wants to he can join the party" Ashley said with a glare.
"Why you little…." Thalia said moving towards the girl but Luke wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her back.
"She's not worth it babe, diffidently not worth it" Luke said into her ear trying to calm her down.
"Hey you leave my cousin out of this, actually why don't both of you just get out here. I said it once and I'll say it again were not interested, and trust me I never will be" Percy said coldly with a stern glare.
But what Percy didn't know was that Annabeth and Piper had finished getting dressed and had watched the entire encounter from a couple feet away. Annabeth had never seen Percy so attractive until now; she knew that was the type of girl he used to go for. And the fact that he was turning this girl down for her made her care about him that much more.
Nodding to Piper the two girls decided it was time to step in and save their boyfriends.
"Hey babe" Annabeth said stepping in between Percy and the brown haired girl and wrapping her arms around his neck. Before Percy could greet her back she pressed her lips onto his in a rough and demanding kiss. But Percy didn't fight it he eagerly responded to it pulling her closer to him.
"Hey sparky" Piper said following Annabeth's move and wrapping her arms around her boyfriend's neck and pulling him into a kiss.
"Uhh excuse me but we were talking to them" Ashley said rudely from behind them.
Annabeth broke the kiss turning around to face the girl with a cold glare on her face "And I think you're done here, now if you don't mind we have plans".
"Whatever" Ashley said rolling her eyes "Here's my number when you get bored with Miss Stiff over here" she said boldly sticking a piece of paper into his jean pockets before turning around with a wink and sauntering off with the blonde girl behind her.
"Are you freaking serious, I cannot believe she just did that right in front of me" Annabeth said fuming. Percy took the paper out of his pocket "I swear to god Percy if you keep that paper I'm going to make it so you never have kids".
Percy just smiled ripping the paper into tiny pieces and walking over to a trash can and throwing it away "Trust me I wasn't going to keep it wise girl, I've got everything I need right here" he said smiling at her.
Annabeth smiled jumping at him and kissing him.
"I think I'm going to be sick" Thalia said rolling her eyes.
Annabeth pulled away from Percy smiling "Your just gonna have to get over it Thals. Come on let's go get something to eat I'm starving".
"Thank you for saving us from those two horrid things" Jason said smiling at Piper and taking her duffle bag from her.
Piper smiled "Trust me I won't let any she devils hurt you sparky".
Thalia snorted "Your nickname is sparky, god that's freaking hilarious".
Jason groaned "I told you not to call me that in front of people Pipes".
Percy and Annabeth laughed "Suck it up Jace, now stop pouting and hurry up your lagging behind".
Percy wrapped his arm around Annabeht's shoulder "Your amazing wise girl".
Annabeth smiled "You're not so bad yourself seaweed brain".
Percy smiled kissing the side of her head as they walked towards the cars.
