"Welcome, welcome, welcome my friends. It is good to see you all; hard to imagine that all Japan's big players and even some of America's here as well" a voice said as sinister looking gentleman stood on the stage "And of course I am Gentlemean"
"Just get on with it" a deep and threatening voice said
"Now, now Onikage these things do take time" Gentlemean said
"I'm with Onikage over here, why are we all here?" another voice said
"Tobias, good to see; last I heard you were in the Blackgate. Now as you all know that was a scoundrel by the name Kai Chisaki otherwise known as overhaul and he had a particular project he was working on, bullets that could destroy quirks. Now I myself have gotten a hold of these bullets from the League of Villains itself and I have to say that will be the crown jewels in tonight's marketplace" Gentlemean said
"So what are we doing here?" Onikage asked
"Y'all are here to sample some of my goodies, but first we a volunteer to test Overhaul's bullets. And I have the perfect one, you see I've taking students from America, France, England, Australia and quite few from Japan. Most of them of females from other ventures" Gentlemean said
"You sick bastard" a samurai said
"Kuro-Bushido, I know and thank you for the compliment" Gentlemean said
"Aren't your forgetting something?" Tobias asked
"Now what?" Gentlemean asked
"I'm talking about the damn hero who has been tracking us!" Tobias said
"What Hero?" Gentlemean asked before grunts could be heard from his men
"Shit he's here" Tobias said
"You screw big time Gentlemean" Kuro-Bushido said
"Say what?" Gentlemean said before thunder was heard
"Its him" Tobias said "SCATTER!" he shouted
"Where ya'll be going!" Gentlemean said "Oh crap" he said as all he saw were two yellow lightning bolt like shapes glowing in the darkness
MY HERO: BLACK LIGHTNING
TWO WEEKS AGO
Jefferson Pierce was in his office at Garfield High using a program on his computer to track recent disappearances nationwide, he knew most of them were from hero schools around the nation from Kirby High School to the Snyder's academy of Heroics. Luckily there was no one from his school was abducted, but things were getting serious now that one of the students of Gotham's Hero School was kidnapped. He first thought it was his old nemesis Tobias Whale, but after looking things over and realising tam Tobias was still in Blackgate prison, though it was only matter of time until he was back on the streets again, so he had to look for someone new. In the backgrounds was a report of the latest kidnapping. Another suspect he could knock off the list was the 100 gang since it had been disbanded when Tobias was thrown into Blackgate. He was brought out of his focus by a knock on his office's door
"Come in" he said
"Yo Mr Pierce" a voice said
"What is it this time Virgil?" Pierce asked as his protégé sat down across from him
"What do you think of all of this" Virgil asked
"I don't know, but just as long as they don't do anything to Garfield High they'll be fine" Pierce said
"why's that?" Virgil asked
"because if they target a student here, then there's going to be trouble for the ones who do mess with my students" Pierce said determined
"BREAKING NEWS! Three students from Garfield High school was just kidnapped as witnesses told the police, they join the other girls who have mysteriously vanished as well bringing the total up 18 girls, there is good news today as one of the kidnappers have been captured and they have been turned over to the police, but it is unlikely that he will tell them anything helpful, but all we can do now is hope that these are the last girls to be kidnapped, This is Cat Grant in Freeland for Channel 52 News" the reporter said
"Well then" Virgil said "Time for you to suit up"
"No kidding" Pierce said as he went over to one of the cupboard and typed in a special code
"So, what should I say?" Virgil asked causing Pierce to pause and turn back to his desk before picking up the phone
"Hello, yes I'm going to be out of my office for awhile, if you can hold all my calls that would be appreciated" Pierce said before hanging up "Get back to class Virgil"
"Yes sir" Virgil said saluting as Pierce opened the cupboard and pressed a lightning bolt shaped button making the back of the cupboard move to the side where the costume of his alter-ego Black Lightning appeared.
"Time to shock the haters" Pierce said as he walked into the cupboard as the door closed.
Down at the nearest dock several thugs were guarding an area, which thug was armed with a machine gun and wore tactical vests
"How long until we can have this shipment moved out to the garden?" a man dressed up like a mix of old gunslinger and southern gentlemen said, this man was Ezekiel Kane aka Gentlemean a rising crime boss who has been trying to take over the gap left by Tobias Whale and Black Mask. What he didn't know was that he wasn't as careful as he thought he was
'What's the garden?' Black Lightning asked as he hid in the shadows
"15 minutes at best" a thug said
"Hurry up" Gentlemean said as he looked around nervously "Who knows until a hero or two shows up"
"Right sir" the thug said
"Has there been any word on the other meadows?" Gentlemean asked
"Bouquets have been delivered to the Garden from other meadows, all except the Oriental one" the thug said
"Don't worry I'll be along to tend to that garden personally" Gentlemean said
'Oriental, does he mean one somewhere in Asia?' Black Lightning said
"Do we have any speciality flowers in this one?" Gentlemean asked
"How about this one?" a thug asked "One of Jet Falcon's daughters"
"Intriguing" Gentlemean said
"And another one calling herself Railgun Rapper" the thug said
"Good" Gentlemean said "Like I said I want them ready for the garden, but first the Oriental meadow needs harvesting" he said heading over to a private jet while a cargo carrier arrived and several containers were loaded on before he it got ready to take off. Black Lightning had to move now or else he'd lose the trial.
Gentlemean's security forces were watching while the containers were being loaded on the cargo planes when suddenly one of the radios crackled to life
"WE HAVE A HERO!" he shouted
"Come again" the leader asked before a bright blue light appeared "What is that?" he asked before some of his troops were flung out. he readied his weapon when he saw a figure dressed in standard hero class armoured with two bright yellow lightning bolts on the front, the leader paused and went wide eyed "Crap" he said fumbling his radio "It's Black Lightning!" he shouted before being blaster, looking around Black Lightning pressed a button on his mask turning the lenses red allowing him to see where the enemies were. He started to generate lightning in his hands as he calmly walked around as two more goons arrived, he then unleashed his lightning on them making them fly back as electricity coursed around them before he created a lightning whip to knock another one back before the sound of a PA System crackled on
"Greetings Black Lightning" Gentlemean said over the system
"Where are you?" Black Lightning asked
"Somewhere safe" Gentlemean said "And don't worry they'll keep them safe"
"I will find you" Black Lightning said as he blasted a few more thugs
"You're welcome to try" Gentlemean chuckled as his private jet took off "Have a good day now you hear" he said before the PA System cut off
"No" Black Lightning said as he tried to stop the cargo plane from taking off, only to have a shockwave blow him back "What was that?" he asked before he picked up a device "Shockwave generator" he said throwing the object on the ground "So where did you go?"
"He escaped?" Virgil asked
"Yeah, but it wasn't from my lack of trying" Pierce said as he overlook some data
"So they kidnapped Riley Airheart, Donna Carolina, Natalie Tesla...isn't that Feedback's little sister?" Virgil asked
"Nick Tesla, yeah but I heard he hasn't been back in the states in ages" Pierce said "Who else is on the list?"
"Country Whitmore, Britt Prisma, Chloe Mackenzie and Marina McKillop, and those were just from the US. I have no idea about the ones from the other countries" Virgil said
"Other countries?" Pierce asked becoming concerned
"Yeah England, Italy, Australia" Virgil said
"Where the big five hero academies are located, meaning that Japan will most likely be next" Pierce said
"The what now?" Virgil asked
"The Big five hero academies are the top hero schools. They are known for producing some of the world's best heroes, and they are UA High, McAvoy institute of heroics, Kirby High School, the Jackman Hero Centre and Paladin Academy" Pierce said
"So I take it most of the League came from Kirby?" Virgil asked
"Kirby was established five years after the foundation of the League" Pierce said "Anyway I better get in contact with someone at UA"
"Seriously?" Virgil asked "anyway why were these three there when the news spoke of Garfield students?"
"I have no idea" Pierce said calling a contact in Japan
JAPAN
All-Might was in his office going over reports when his phone rang
"Hello" his baritone voice
"Toshinori, I hope I'm not interrupting something"
"Ah Jefferson, how are you?" All-Might asked
"Not good my friend; things have been going down" Pierce said
"How so?" Toshinori asked
"Three of my students were kidnapped and I went to rescue them, only to hear talk of three students from Kirby" Pierce said
"I had heard that there were missing students from various schools, including those of the big five schools"
"All but one" Pierce said
"Here" All-Might said grimly
"Yeah" Pierce said
"So what's the plan?" All-Might asked
"I'm not sure yet, I know who is behind it, but I have no way of tracking him" Pierce said
"Who did it?" All-Might asked
"I believe it was Ezekiel Kane" Pierce said
"Gentlemean" All-Might growled "I knew he would resurface one day"
"I know, I didn't think it would be this soon" Pierce said "I hope your successor is ready"
"I hope so too" All-Might said
"Hey, what's wrong?" a voice asked making Izuku snap out of his thought as he turned to his girlfriend Roxy
"Just thinking about what's been happening lately with these missing students" Izuku said
"And you're worried about who's going to be next" Roxy said
"I am, since there seems to be a pattern to things" Izuku said
"Care to share?" Roxy asked
"I think whoever is doing this is going to strike at UA next" Izuku said
"I'm sure no one is that stupid, now come on, I think the ice cream parlour will be closing soon"
"Okay" Izuku said taking her hand and walking off
"How soon until we reach our next designation?" Gentlemean asked as he sipped a glass of scotch
"A couple of hours sir" the pilot said
"Good, now do my agents have what I require?" Gentlemean asked
"They do" his aide said
"Excellent; but I must admit this will be challenging since Japan is the land of heroes in these times of modern Greek myths" he said smirking "Meaning it will be all the sweeter when I win"
G'day Guys Grizz here So over the past couple of weeks I ran a poll to see which one of my previous fics would be rebooted next, and I have to say despite the low amopunt of votes the results were dead even, so I enacted my plan for in case there were no votes and that was to just pick a random fic and this was the randomized winner; a reboot of my first ever My hero academia fanfic Green Might and Black Lightning which was written months before the series ever premiered.
Now this will be completely different with this being more of a mystery/crime series where the main villain's name came about because of a typo. Also I'll be borrowing characters and stuff from Mrotrax's My Hero Pen Pal series as well as other DC Characters, now the character Roxy was introduced in the one-shot a day at the skate park which I'm making into apart of the worldbuilding for this series so go check that out if you want to learn more about her
