-VolcanicFlare: That's a pretty correct statement regarding Seija's actions. But that is not her only reason for doing the things she does; you will see.
Chapter 2
The Stolen Voice
It was a fine morning outside of Toad Town. The sun was full of light, and was shining bright everywhere. It was the perfect time to do some laundry. And that was exactly what a man was currently doing. A man wearing a pair of dark blue overalls, a green long shirt, white gloves and a green hat with an L insignia on it.
That man was none other than Luigi, the brother of the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario.
The Mario Brothers, born from the town of Brooklyn, have been the Kingdom protectors ever since they arrived there, protecting it from all sorts of nasty individuals. Though, most of the times, that "nasty individual" was the Koopa King Bowser, his children and his Koopa Troop Army.
Mario was the older brother. He was the most experienced of the two: strong, full of bravery and good hearted. Out of the two, he was the one that saved the princess the most.
Luigi was the younger brother. He was a bit clumsy at times, and he was also cowardly at times, been scared very easily. He was also extremely worrysome and self-conscious. However, sometimes he will be brave and face his fears, especially when somebody he cared about was in danger, like Peach, Daisy or his brother. And he was just as kind hearted as him.
The two brothers meant the world to each other.
Considering it was a nice sunny day, Luigi though it would be the perfect opportunity to do some laundry, and he was whistling a very familiar song while doing so. He finished things of by putting the last of Mario's socks on the string.
"There we go. All done." Luigi said while wiping sweat from his face.
"I must say, this weather really came at the right time. I've been waiting to do laundry for a while now." He then took a sniff of the clothes on the string. They were no longer sweaty and instead smelled really good.
"Aaaaah. Fresh of laundry."
He looked proudly at his work before looking at the house. "Guess I should go to inform Mario that… … eh?"
He couldn't finish his sentence as he heard a weird noise coming from the street. The noise was getting louder and louder, and it was starting to sound like… screaming.
Luigi then saw the source of the noise. It was Toad. He was running at light speed and screaming like a lunatic.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
He stopped right in front of Luigi, but he was still jumping left and right, loking more panicked that he as ever been.
"E-E-E-EMERGENCY SITUATION!" He screamed at Luigi.
Luigi of course, tried to calm him down, to properly understand the situation. "Whoa whoa whoa! Toad, calm down! What's wrong?!"
"WHAT'S WRONG? WHAT'S WRONG!? DID YOU SEE THE KINGDOM COURIER?"
"Umm, no… why?"
Toad didn't answer him. He instead dashed inside the Mario brothers house at full speed, running past Luigi and causing him to… well… "spin" a little.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOAAAAA!"
Toad now was inside the house. He had one objective: to find Mario.
"MARIOOOOOOOO!"
He searched for him very thoroughly, first searching the bedroom, then the dining room, and lastly, the closets, but he couldn't find him anywhere.
"Damnit! WHERE IS HE?!"
Just when he was about to give up, he heard some humming from the only room he didn't check yet: the Bathroom.
"Hmm… I hear humming…" Toad said in his thoughts.
He then, without thinking, rushed into the Bathroom…
And saw something he was cleary not meant to see.
"MARiooo… …"
...
"WAAAAAAA!"
"AAAAAAAAH! SORRY!"
He then came back from the bathroom, red like a tomato, covering his eyes.
And of course, because of that, he ended up ramming into a wall.
From the bathroom them came out a man wearing a towel around his waist. He was the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom himself, Super Mario.
"Okay, what in the world is going on here?" he questioned. He walks by and saw Toad, still with a red face, lying on the ground, motionless. "Toad?"
Mario decided that the best way to wake him up was to jump on his head.
He did so a couple of times and, surprisingly enough, it worked.
"P-P-Princess P-P-Peach… P-P-Princess P-P-Peach…" That was all Toad had the strenght to say.
Mario pondered about that statement for a few second… before immediately realising what it meant.
"MAMMA MIA! BOWSER!"
Without wasting anytime, he dashed outside the house.
Luigi managed to "stop the spinning" and get himself back on track.
"What. The heck. Was that?" Luigi wondered as he put his hat back on his head. "I know Toad can be a little weird at times, but that was… I don't even know how to call it."
Just then, he heard some noises coming from the house, and saw Mario dashing outside of it, still wearing only a towel.
"Oh Mario, thank god. Can you explain me wha-"
Luigi didn't have the time to finish his sentence has Mario jumped on him and the clothes on the wire.
After he did that, there was a huge smoke that covered whatever was happening in that moment.
After the smoke cleared, Mario jumped out of it, now fully clothed and ready for action. Without wasting another moment, he immediately sprinted torward Peach's Castle.
Unfortunately, he failed to notice that his overalls were caught in the clothesline and Luigi had been tied by it in the process and was been helplessly dragged by his older brother.
"WHOAWHOAWHOA! MARIO! WAIT!"
The situation at the Castle was not in control.
Peach was sitting on the throne, crying a humongous amount of tears after what they did to her.
Next to the throne where to Toads screaming and jumping left and right in panic.
And standing right in front of them, was none other than the scourge of the Mushroom Kingdom and the Mario Brothers main archnemesis: the Koopa King himself, Bowser. He was stomping on the ground, demanding answers.
Just then, the doors bursted open, revealing Mario still running, with Luigi being dragged behind. As soon as he saw Bowser, Mario skidded to stop. Unfortunately, that didn't stop Luigi, who was sent flying right on top of Bowser.
"AAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"CRASH"
Mario, having realized the little error he made, immediately rushed to his Brother's help.
"Crud! Luigi! Sorry, I didn't mean to. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Just a little soreeeeAAAAAAAHHH!" Luigi screamed once he realized just who he was standing on.
Bowser angrily shaked Luigi of him, and roared in fury. "ROOOOOOAAAAAAA!"
He then turned his gaze torward Mario.
"REALLY!? NOW YOU ARE ATTACKING ME WHEN MY BACK IS TURNED!?" He shouted angrily. "Of Course! What did I expect!? That's tipical from you "Super Cowardly Brothers"! But guess what!?"
Bowser then went into a fighting stance. "THAT'S THE LAST TIME YOU WILL GET THE DROP ON ME!"
Bowser roared once again and charged at Mario. The first thing he tried to do was to hit him with his claws. Mario however, having some very good reflexes, dodged it easily. He then jumped straight on Bowser's head.
"OW!" Bowser muttered in pain. He then looked at Mario, which was giving him a victorious smirk.
"You little- YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!"
He then charged his fire breath. "TAKE THIS!"
Bowser released his fire breath on Mario. Mario then dodged it with a well time jump, and landed once again on Bowser's head.
Luigi, who was looking at the fight, cheered at his Brother's skills and even started spinning when he dodged the fire and landed that hit.
Bowser could only hold his head in pain. "Oh, you have no idea how much I HATE YOUR STUPID JUMPS!"
He then charged at Mario again and attack him with his claws three consecutive times. Mario dodged all three of them and landed another hit on Bowser.
Now, Bowser was really furious. It was time to throw the big guns.
"OK! THAT'S IT!"
He then positioned himself still, and started to charge his fire breath as much as he could.
Mario saw what Bowser was about to do, and prepared himself for what was about to happen.
Bowser reached his limit, and after giving Mario an angry glare, he released the flames.
"BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
A HUGE amount of flames was coming torward Mario. So how he dodged them you may ask? Why, it's obvious. With the one thing that had helped him many times already.
A Spin Jump.
With a well timed move, Mario used his Spin Jump, which made him literally spin in the air, away from all those flames.
"YAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Bowser could only stare in shock as Mario started dessending from the air. "WHAT!?"
Mario landed right on Bowser's head. This left Bowser a bit dazed. Mario took care of this chance to jump on Bowser two more times, before finishing him with a ground pound.
"Urk!" It was all Bowser could matter before falling on the ground. Defeated. "Blaargh…"
Luigi watched the all thing and gave his brother a cheer for his victory. "Wow! Nice work Mario! That was awesome!"
Mario cleaned a bit of dust from his clothes and smiled proudly. "Some get rustier over the years. Me? I just keep getting better!"
Soon, Bowser recovered from his dizziness and roared, catching the two brothers attention. "Uh… W-Wait a second! Listen… This is no time for fighting! Even though I would've won!" Bowser yelled in annoyance.
Mario could only roll his eyes at that. "Yeah. Sure."
Luigi also gave Bowser an annoyed look. "Geez. Talk about been in denial."
"SHUT UP!"
"Listen to me everyone! Something terrible has happened!" the Toad from the left called out to get everyone's attention. "The Goodwill Ambassador from our neighbor, the Beanbean Kingdom, just paid a visit!"
"Yeah! But it was no friendly visit!" the Toad on the right continued. "The ambassador… stole Princess Peach's voice!"
"WHAT?!" Both Mario and Luigi shouted in shock.
Bowser however, was less convinced. "Oh Please! You really expect me to fall for something stupid like that!?"
He however, was immediately proven that it was the truth when Peach spoke… but it wasn't her voice what came out. Not her angelic and melodious voice. Instead, it was an utterly horrifying and demonic sounding voice what came out. Something almost unhuman. Everyone immediately covered their ears to try not to listen to whatever this sound was supposed to be.
"AAAAAAAAAHHH!"
"MY EARS!"
"OK OK! I BELIEVE YOU! SHUT HER OFF! NOW!"
Peach stopped talking and continued to cry. Then Toad shortly summarized what happened. "… Y-Yeah! And she replaced it with this… horrible voice instead!"
Bowser was not happy with this turn of events. "Gah! If I kidnap Princess Peach in this state, she'll turn me deaf in just one day!" He then turned torward the two brother. "Mario! Do something about this!"
Mario then questioned him bitterly. "And what do you expect me to do exactly?"
Luckily, one of the Toad already had an answer. "The perpetrator came from the Beanbean Kingdom! If you head over there, you should be able to learn more!" He then added, as a way to encourage him. "Mario! Please! Go and retrieve Princess Peach's beautiful voice! Only you can do it!"
Bowser laughed triumphantly at this. "Bwa ha ha ha! Yes! Go, capture that fiend and get back Peach's voice! And then I can kidnap her!"
'Did… Did he seriously just say that right in front of me!?' It was all Mario could think after listening to what Bowser said.
"We'll take my Koopa Cruiser and reach the Beanbean Kingdom in no time!" He then went torward the exit and signaled Mario to come. "Mario! Come on! We leave immediately!"
Luigi however noticed something. "Uh, guys… I think Peach is about to open her mouth again!"
And Luigi guessed correctly, as Peach spoke, releasing again that demonic voice. Everyone immediately covered their ears again.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"NOT AGAIN!"
"RUN FOR YOU LIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!"
Everyone screamed as they ran out of the castle, trying to get as far away from that horrible voice as possible.
Mario was wheezing heavily. He doesn't think he has ever ran that fast before. But to be fair, it was a life or death situation… kinda.
He took a deep breath and made a sigh of relief when he realized he could here that voice anymore. "Phew. Thank the stars. For a second I really thought I was going to become deaf."
Mario then looked around himself; he was in the main plaza of the castle, complete with a beautiful fountain. He then heard a voice calling him. "Mario!"
He turned torward the direction of the voice, and it was none other than Toad. (The main one, and the one at the start of the story).
Mario was pleased to see him. "Toad! Good to see you again!" Toad was likewise pleased. "Good to see you too! It was actually pretty easy finding you after I… you know… regained consciousness."
Mario was now a little embarassed as he remembered that morning event. "Oh… right. Sorry for… you know… jumping on your head and all that." Toad however reassured him with a smile. "Ah, don't worry about it. I think that was actually what I needed to finally calm myself."
There was then a few seconds of awkward pause before Toad started talking again. "So, off on an adventure yet again eh?" Mario answered him with a simple nod. "Good to know." He then paused for a second before continuing. "… I just hope your long vacation hasn't left you out of shape."
Mario of course wasn't worried, giving him a cocky smile. "Trust me. You wouldn't think that if you saw me inside the castle a few minutes ago." Toad know was curious at what exactly happened in the castle. "I see. But regarldless, you can stretch out and warm up here in this plaza if you need." He then remembered something. "Oh, and I'l talk to everyone around here. Who knows what you might learn?"
Mario nodded and smile. "I will keep that in mind. Thanks for the advise Toad." Toad nodded in response. "You are welcome! And good luck out there!" Toad then waved at Mario and parted ways with him, probably to do his own things.
Mario decided to immediately follow Toad advice and speak with teh people of the plaza. 'Now let's see. Who to talk to?... Oh!' Mario was surprised when he saw next to the fountine none other than Russ T, the owner of the Toad Town Library.
He approced him, knowing that he was easily the biggest holder of informations there was. "Russ!"
Russ turned around and saw Mario standing in front of him "Well now. If it ain't the famous Mario. I must say, it's quite a pleasure to have the chance to talk to you properly."
Mario and Russ T always met each other whenever Mario went to the Library. But they could never properly talk because of the rule Russ put for his library. No talking unless you want to by a book.
"Same here. I'm surprised to see you here." Russ closed the book he was reading and gave Mario an answer. "Do not be Mario. I always come here whenever I need to read a book. This place has such a calming atmosphere." He then added, after adjusting his glasses. "Besides, the library as been temporary closed, all because of the… situation we currently find ourselves in."
"Oh, I see. Sorry to hear that."
"Speaking of which; I couldn't help but overhear of the latest rumor slash information. It seems that once again you are about to throw yourself in the face of danger to help our dear princess."
Mario smiled awkwardly and rubbed the back of his head. Rumors really do travel fast. "You heard right Russ. To be exact, I'm going to our neighbour Kingdom."
"Ah, yes, the Beanbean Kingdom. I went there a few times. Quite the interesting place if I do say so myself."
"I hope it is also not too dangerous."
Russ T poundered about the situation for a few second, before coming to a realization. "Well, if you really are going there, perhaps this might be of use to you." He then handed Mario a book.
Mario took the book and looked at it with a curious expression. "Uh, what is this?"
Russ adjusted his glasses and answered him. "That my friend is a book of the complete history of the Beanbean Kingdom. You can read it to properly educate yourself about their cultures and the various places you need to visit." He then opened the book and pointed at a specific section. "There is also a section about the Beanbean Kingdom various… creatures. You can use it to help yourself agains this things whenever you go against them."
Mario couldn't believe his luck. That book was a metaphorical gold mine. "This… is going to be very helpful. Thanks Russ!" He then started to check his pockets, "How much do I own you for this book?" Russ however wasn't looking to be paid. "Oh no no, you don't need to give me anything. This is a Kingdom wide crisis we are talking about. I would be pretty greedy to ask you to pay me for it."
Mario however was having none of it. "Don't be ridiculous Russ. You are an honest Librarian, and I promise that when I get back from my mission, I will pay you for it. And you will accept my coins."
Russ looked taken back for a few seconds, before answering. "… Very well then. If that's what you wish." He then stayed a bit silent, before telling Mario something important. "… You are a good person Mario. Never change." Mario could do nothing but smile after hearing this.
After saying this, Russ looked at his wristwatch and adjusted his glasses. "Well, excuse me but I must be going now. I have a few things to deal with myself." Before leaving, he told Mario one last thing. "Well Mario, good luck on your adventure and all that."
Russ T then left the plaza as Mario waved at him. 'Incredible! Only the first person and I have already gotten a lot of useful information! Thanks for the advice Toad!'
Mario then went back to look around the plaza. Doing so he found two block standing on top of a bush. 'Mmmn, let's see if i can reach them.'
Mario jumped on top of a bush, and with a well timed jump, he managed to reach the other bush, the one where the two blocks are. "Alright! Now time to open this blocks in the only way possible… Mario Style!"
With another jump, Mario made his fist collide with the first block. From it came a big coin. It was worth ten coin. "Good. I can use this to buy something in the Beanbean Kingdom." He then opened the second block. A mushroom came out of it. "Perfect! This will be useful in case I end up getting hurt!"
Mario now was on the right side of the plaza. As he looked around, he laid his eyes on another familiar face. "Toadbert?"
It was indeed him. Toadbert, one of the members of the Mushroom Kingdom Council and one of the smartest Toads in the Kingdom, second only to Russ T himself. He was apparently trying to jump on top of a bush, where a mushroom was.
"Come on… come on…" Toadbert said as he tried to reach the Mushroom, with no luck.
Mario approached him. "Toadbert!"
Toadbert turned around, and saw Mario. He immediately cheerped up. "Mario! Oh, thank the stars! You arrived just in time! I could really use some help!"
"Yeah, I can see that."
"Could you please get that Mushroom for me?"
Mario of course would never say no to a request for help. "Sure!"
With a impressive speed, Mario jumped on the bush, grabbed the Mushroom and jumped back down. He then handed the Mushroom back to Toadbert. "WOAH! Now that was impressive! Thanks Mario!"
Mario smiled at him. "Anytime friend."
"I really must thank you somehow… mmmmn…" Then a lightbulb was turned on in Toadbert's head. "I got it! You are going to the Beanbean Kingdom right? Then you will need resources! Here, take this!"
He then gave Mario… a Super Mushroom!
Mario was left a little shocked. "Whoa! Toadbert are you sure? This is worth much more than that Mushroom!"
"Yes, I'm sure. This mushroom has a lot of… sentimental value to me."
Mario was curious about that statement, and decided to inquire further. "What do you mean sentimental value?"
After asking that, Toadbert started to blush, a lot, eventually telling Mario the truth. "W-W-Well… y-you see… t-the fact is that…" He then took a deep breath and spilled the beans. "… Toadiko gave this to me."
Mario then immediately realized what was going on, and gave Toadbert a teasing smile. "Oh really?"
"Oh come on now! Don't make this even harder!"
Mario chuckled a little bit before reassuring him. "Don't worry. Your secret his safe with me."
"T-Thank you." Toadbert said while still blushing. He then cleared his throat and recomposed himself. "Anyway… Good luck on your adventure Mario."
After saying that, he left the plaza, with the two waving each other.
Then, Mario went back to look around the plaza. While he was looking around, he heard a voice.
"Darn it! I really did NOT need this today!"
Mario looked torward the direction of the voice, and saw the owner.
It was an Hammer Bro, a member of Bowser's Koopa Troop Army. However this Hammer Bro had a distinctive characteristic that made him different from other Hammer Bros: he had eyes of different color. One red and one blue.
Even though he was working for Bowser, Mario still chose to help him. "Need any help?"
The Hammer Bro looked back at him before sighing. "Yes, I do. I really do. You see, I've gotten separated from the other members of the Koopa Troop. And if I don't get back to Lord Bowser in time, I will be degraded for incompetency!"
He then took another sigh before asking for help. "Please, tell me that you know where Lord Bowser has gone?"
Fortunatly for him, Mario had the answer. "I do. All you need is some logical thinking."
He then pointed at the Castle's entrance. "If Bowser came from there…" Then he pointed at the Plaza's exit. "… And if that is the only exit to the plaza, then the answer is only one. Thatta way!"
The Hammer Bro looked at the exit before sighing in relief. "Oh thank the stars! It's almost time to assemble, and boy, I can't miss that! I've gotta hurry!"
He then ran torward the exit, but first, he stopped, turned around, and gave Mario a tumbs up. "Thanks pal! I really own you one!"
After that, he officially left the plaza.
Mario then saw that, were the Hammer Bro was stanting, there was a sign. He recognized it: It was the Kingdom's Courier; the main broadcast of news of the Mushroom Kingdom. 'Mmmn… I wonder what they wrote this time… probably something about the latest events.'
Mario went to the sign and started reading it.
Kingdom Courier Vol. 1
ROYAL SPEECH BOMB
The villain who stole the lovely voice of the princess has fled to the Beanbean Kingdom!
Mario has reportedly been tapped for the rescue mission!
After finishing reading that part, he gave a look at the second part.
Kingdom Courier Vol. 2
MARIO AND BOWSER TEAM UP?
Our favorite hero, Mario, is leaving for the Beanbean Kingdom with our least favorite villain, Bowser!
With Bowser's imminent departure from the Kingdom, cries of joy were heard in Princess Peach's Castle!
Mario couldn't help but chuckle after reading that part. "I don't doubt they are."
Mario now had almost done. There was only one person left to talk to. They were in the left side of the plaza. And speaking of the devil, it was a person he mentioned a few minutes ago.
"Toadiko?"
It was truly her, Toadiko. Another member of the Mushroom Kingdom Council, along with Toadbert, one of Peach's closest friends and the expert Beautician of the town.
Mario immediately called her. "Toadiko!"
Toadiko was quite surprised to see him. "Mario! Well I'll be! It's good to see you!"
"It's good to see you to Toadiko! Is there something wrong?"
Toadiko's face then turned troubled. "Well yes, as a matter of fact there is. You see… I lost my precious belongins, and I can't find them anywhere!"
Mario was a curious at the way Toadiko worded it. "Precious belongins?"
Toadiko realized the suspicious way it sounded, so she clarified. "Oh right, sorry. Guess I should describe them. It's a pink briefcase full of clothes, make up and various profumes! I was going to use them to promote my new fashion line!"
Mario was a bit impressed by it. "Sounds like a lot of important staff to you." Toadiko confirmed his statement immediately. "It is! And now I lost them somewhere around the plaza, and I can't find them anywhere!"
Then, and idea sparked in her mind. "Hey Mario! You are pretty perceptive! If it's not too much to ask, could you please find my briefcase? I really desperately need it!"
"Of course!"
Toadiko was very pleased to hear this. "Great! Thanks a lot! It should be around here somewhere. And remember! It's a pink briefcase with a flower motif!"
Mario immediately went on the search. He figured that the best place to look was inside the bushes. But he didn't find nothing.
He then looked around the fountain, but once again nothing.
The place where he found it was one of the castle's walls, crouched against it. "Pink and flower motif! I found it!"
Without wasting time, he took the briefcase, and brought it back to Toadiko.
"Here is your briefcase Toadiko!" He said as he handed it to her.
Toadiko squeaked in joy upon seeing it. "My breifcase! Oh Thank you! Thank you so much Mario! You are the best! THE BEST!"
She then realized something. "Hey, now that I think about it, you are going to the Beanbean Kingdom right? If that's so, then take this! You will need it!"
Toadiko then gave Mario a Life Shroom! It's basically the golden mine among the Healing mushrooms.
"Whoa! Thanks a lot Toadiko!"
Toadiko smiled at him. "Don't mention it!" She then grabbed her brief case, and headed torward the exit, waving at him. "Good luck on your adventure Mario!"
And with that, Mario had officialy talked to all the people of the plaza. It was finally time to go to the Koopa Cruiser.
He directed himself torward the exit, and waiting for him there was his brother Luigi.
"Mario!"
Mario was happy to see his brother. "Luigi! I'm glad to see you here!"
"Well hey, I told myself that since I'm not coming, I might as well say goodbye to you before you go!"
Mario was a bit surprised by this. It's no surprise that, out of the two, he was the most popular, the one the entire Kingdom recognized. Luigi had always been on his brother's shadow, and he really though that he would have taken this chance to spend his own time on the spotlight.
Brushing of that thought, he asked his brother a question. "Hey Luigi, listen, have you seen Bowser?"
Luigi nodded. "I sure did! He looked pretty mad, and he went threw this exit!" He said as he pointed at the exit.
"Then come on! Let's not make him wait any longer!"
And with those words, the two brothers left the plaza.
Once they left the plaza, they arrived at some sort of pre-airport area, with various Toads talking and waiting to take their rides.
Just as they were about to exit thr area, Mario heard a loud voice calling him.
"MASTER MARIO!"
This made them almost jump. They looked behind them to spot an old Toad riding a suitcase (don't ask me how) stopping as it reached the four. That old Toad was Toadsworth, Princess's Peach's long time steward. "It would appear I'm just in time!" He said as he jumped off the suitcase.
Mario bowed at him. "Greetings Toadsworth!"
Luigi bowed as well "Greetings!"
Mario then continued. "To what do we own this pleasure?"
Toadsworth then smiled proudly. "I'm glad you asked Master Mario! You see, I have prepared a suitcase for you to take with you on your long journey! I'm quite sure it will prove useful, as it holds many items and outfits. Please take it!"
Mario nodded and accepted the suitcase. "Thanks, Toadsworth. You always help me a lot during my adventures."
Toadsworth had also something else to give away. "Now then, I have one more parting gift, as it were: some funds for your trip! Here you go…" Toadsworth then handed Mario a bag, which was pretty heavy. Mario opened it and inside… there were 100 coins!
"Woah! So many coins! Thanks a lot Toadsworth! This are going to be very useful!" Mario said happily as he put the bag of coin in the suitcase.
Toadsworth then looked at Luigi. "Oh, gracious! Master Luigi! Are you going to then Beanbean Kingdom, as well?"
Luigi simply shock his head. "No thanks. I think my brother will handle himself just fine."
"Ah! You're just seeing Master Mario off? A capital idea! I do believe I'll join you!" After saying that, Toadsworth swinged his cane on the ground. "Now then, Master Mario! I'm going on ahead. I shall be waiting for you in front of the koopa Cruiser. See you there!"
After those words, he left.
"Okay Luigi! Let's go!"
With that, the two brothers went on the direction of the Koopa Cruiser.
The two brothers finally reached the Koopa Cruiser. On the ground there where Toadsworth and the Hammer Bro from before. The ship was some sort of cruiser that was turtle shaped with something that resembled Bowser's face on the front, along with a huge deck on top of it. In the middle of the deck, was Bowser, who was furiously still waiting for Mario. That is, until he finally spotted him.
"MARIO!" Bowser roared from the desk. "You're late! What were you doing? We're leaving! Right now! So get on board, and make it snappy!"
'Sheesh, since when does he think that he can give me orders…' Mariorolled his eyes at this. But he decided to not waste anymore time. So, with a powerful jump, he landed right on top of the desk.
After that, Bowser gave another look at his creation and laughed proudly. "GWA HA HA HA!" Then he turned torward Mario. "Well? So? What do you think? Incredible isn't it? This is my newest weapon: the Koopa Cruiser!"
Mario gave the Cruiser a quick look before replying. "… No offence Bowser, but did you really had to make it look like you?"
Bowser huffed at this. "Oh really?! Well, if you didn't want to see it, you shouldn't have come!"
Mario immediately put him back in his place. "Don't take this the wrong way Bowser! The only reason I'm helping you is because we have a common enemy!"
Bowser rolled his eyes at this. "Whatever." Then he cleared his throat. "Now all I need are my baddies…""
"Baddies?"
Bowser then shouted. "BOWSER BADDIES!"
Unfortunatly for Bowser, his expectations were crushed when he looked down the Koopa cruiser, because nobody was there. The only people standing there were the Hammer Bro from before and luigi himself, who was just as confused as everyone else.
Saying that Bowser wasn't happy would be an understatment. "GAAH! WHERE ARE THEY?!"
Soon, he noticed Luigi. However, because Bowser puts all his focus always on Mario, he didn't recognize him and confused him as someone willing to join the Bowser Baddies crew. "Huh? What in green blazes…? Hey! You! Are you signing up to join my crew of Bowser Baddies? I see! I see! You want me to bring you along that badly, huh?"
Luigi stammered once he heard Bowser's words. "Wait, what!? Are you talking to me?"
"Yes, you!"
"I, ehm, no!"
Mario was looking at the all conversation pretty curiously. 'Unbelivable. It's been who knows how long, and Bowser still treats Luigi with no respect whatoever.'
"Gwa ha ha har! Oh, that's rich!" Bowser laughed. "Don't be modest, Mr Green! I mean, you look like a real pain, but I'll take you anyway!"
"Ok! First off, my name is Luigi! And second, you are not doing ANYTHING to me!" Luigi then started to slowly back off. Then he ran away.
"HEY, YOU! STOP!" Bowser commanded Luigi, but he ignored him and continued to run.
Luigi however wasn't able to run for long, as a Koopa arrived and blocked his path.
"Your Grarliness!" The Koopa greeted his king. "The Baddies have just arrived!" He then turned around and called them. "HEY! The assembly area is over here, you blithering idiots!"
After that, the Bowser Baddies arrived.
In quick succesion, fire rows of the Koopa Troop most common soldiers assembled in five columns. In the first columns there where Goombas, in the second green Koopas, the third red Koopas, the fourth Hammer Bros and in the last Boomerang Bros. The "missing" Hammer Bro from before took the occasion to go in his column.
This caused Luigi to go in a panic state as the Baddies forced him torwards the Cruiser as they walked along. "All Baddies have assembled! We shall now begin boarding the Koopa Cruiser!" The green Koopa announced.
Unaware to all of them, Luigi was slowly sneaking through them.
"WA HA HA HA! Good! That's the way I like things to go!" Bowser laughed in glory. "Come on everyone! It's time to depart! And with an increased head count too! EXCELLENT!"
All the Baddies then boarded the Koopa Cruiser, marching all the while.
A Koopa arrived next to him and saluted. "Your filthiness, boarding is now complete! ... … Except for one deserter…"
WHAAAT?!" Bowser was not happy to hear this. "Move it you idiots! Initiate Cruiser pursuit!"
Mario did not like that. "Cruiser what!? WHOA!"
With that, the Cruisers Main Engine was activated and it started to float.
Toadsworth took this chance to properly salute Mario, waving him. "GOODBYE MASTER MARIO! GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY!"
"THANKS TOADSWORTH!"
After that, the Cruiser stated flying torward someone. … That someone been Luigi.
He was running as fast as he could, especially after seen the Cruiser coming torward him. "Huff… huff… huff… eh?" Unfortunatly, his speed ended up been for nothing as suddendly, a robotic arm came out from the Cruiser's mouth, and grabbed him without problems.
"MAMMA MIA!"
The hand then finished things by pulling Luigi into the interior deck.
After finally getting his last crew member, the Koopa Cruiser flew torward the sky at full speed.
Next stop: Beanbean Kingdom.
And here we are! This chater ended up been more difficult that I though, but thankfully, I managed to pull through! No omake this time because that's mostly for the Touhou chapter. (However, don't worry. Once the main character meet each other, there will be more of those.) Next up is another Mario chapter were our two brother will explore the Koopa Cruiser and meet the main villain. Once again, comments are appreciated, and until then… SEE YOU NEXT TIME!
