Cray was sitting down in front of his canvas as he was starting to set things up around it to get ready to paint his first painting, and as he looked he noticed most of the the Equipment that he has are all worn down and messy.
"Ugh Great...I can't have my first painting be made with this, well guess I'm gonna have to do some shopping" Cray said
Sumi was sitting down on top of Iza's workshop lost in thought. with Iza helping work on the ship, Sumi had the workshop all to himself
"Sumi"
Sumi quickly turned around and noticed a small kid
"Oh hi Sai" Sumi said
"What are you doing up here?" Sai said
"Oh nothing just lost in thought...thinking about you" Sumi said
" hmm its funny ever since you got caught in that big waveOh come on you know it wasn't your fault what happened" Sai said
"But why am I the only one here?" Sumi said sadly
There was silence
Hello?" Sumi said turning and then he looked and noticed that Sai wasn't there anymore.
Sumi then let out a sigh he then decided to to take a walk around Water 7 to keep his head clear, as he walked he noticed that people were still rebuilding a few things now that everyone in the city had to time to relax during the party yesterday.
"I wonder how the Straw Hats are doing right now?" Sumi thought as he saw as he looked down at the canal showing his reflection.
(Two years Ago)
"Man this sucks we've been at this for hours and still not a single bite" a Man said
"Yeah well the captain said that we need stock up on some food soon were nearly out of it and we won't arrive to the next island for another week." A man said
"It wouldn't be a problem if the fish here weren't damn stubborn" Another man said
Suddenly someone started to get a bite
"I think I got one" A Man said as he as he tried yanking as hard as he could but as he did all he got was jsut a small squid
"Ha are you kidding me all that struggle for just one little squid?" A man said
"Shut up! Hey..Sai!" The man said
A small boy then quickly walked towards the man and tossed the squid to him
"Put it in the storage" The man said
Sai then quickly ran to the storage room on the ship and as he did he then carefully looked to make sure the coast was clear.
"Psst hey...I got you something to eat" Sai said
as Sai waited he saw a short skinny white fox slowly walked towards him.
"Here you go boy" Sai said as he tossed the squid to him
The Fox then quickly ran towards it and quickly ate the squid the fox then slumped onto the ground holding his stomach in satisfaction
"There...are you okay?" Sai said
The Fox just sat there without any response
Sai then slowly started to reach his hand to Sumi to pet him but as he pat his head Sumi Jolted and then poofed into a paintbrush Shocking Sai as he went backwards. Sai then slowly picked up the Paintbrush in confusion
"What the... "Sai said
Suddenyl sumi then poofed back to his fox form knocking Sai down, as they both landed on there bottoms staring at each other, Sumi then quickly backed away back behind the Crates again.
"Wait don't hide I didn't mean to scare you I...(Sighs)" Sai said as he slowly started to walk out
"Wai...Wait" Sumi called out
Sai quickly turned around shocked as he heard sumi
"..tha...Thank you" Sumi said
"You...You can talk?" Sai said
"Yes" Sumi said
Sai then quickly went to him
"Whoa a Talking fox" Sai said
"HEY WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO DOWN THERE!?" A man yelled
Sai could then hear someone coming down Sumi then quickly went to hide
What are you doing here boy?" The man said
"Oh uh I was just looking around just trying to find something to do" Sai said
"And who were you talking to just now?" the man said
"Oh well I was just talking to myself" Sai said
"Really?" The man said as he went by Sai to check behind the crates.
"And what is this?" The man said
"All right I can explain" Sai said
"Whats this Painbrush doing here? and whats with all these traces around the walls?" the man said picking it up
"Oh...all right you got me, I found that painbrush and so I decided to to make some little small drawings to occupy my time" Sai said
Hmph" the man said tossing the paintbrush away
"IS THIS A SHIP!? OR AN ART GALLERY!? STARTING TOMMOROW YOU ARE GOING TO CLEAN UP THIS MESS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! YOU GOT THAT!?" The man yelled
"YE..YES!" Sai said
The man then walked out slamming the door behind him.
"Hey are you Okay?" Sai said
"Sumi then turned back into his normal form.
"Yeah...Ow that hurt...I'm sorry I didn't mean to get you in trouble" Sumi said
"Its okay...I didn't catch your name" Sai said
"Its...Its Sumi" Sumi said
(Present Day)
Hey, Hey Sumi!"
Sumi turned around and saw Cray walking towards him much to his surprise.
"Cray?" Sumi said
"Hey whats up Sumi, what have you been up to?" Cray said
"Oh nothing really, what about you?" Sumi said
"I was hoping to speak with Iza about where I can buy some new painting equipment" Cray said
"Well if your looking for her she's not at her workshop, she's helping work on your new ship with Franky" Sumi said
"Oh well, I guess I'll just keep searching, later" Cray said
"Wait, Let me help you" Sumi said
"What why do you want to help?" Cray said
"I think I know a few shops you might like, its places were Iza usually goes to buy her things" Sumi said
"Oh well lead the way" Cray said
"Okay, Follow me" Sumi saidME
As they were walking down the near empty street Sumi then stopped by a nearby store they looked more like oversized Merchant stand
"This is the place" Sumi said pointing
"Huh? quite a small place" Cray said
"Don't let it fool you the owner of this shop knows Iza really well" Sumi said walking in
As the Cray moved the cover away he saw a women in her mid 50's wearing some oversized glasses and as she was putting stuff away
"Rainuh" Sumi said
"Sumi good to see you" Rainuh said as he pet his head
"And who is this?" Rainuh said
"This Cray, he's a friend" Sumi said
"Oh One of the Straw Hats?" Rainuh said
"Oh so you know who I am?" Cray said
"Of course I do, You and your crew helped save our Mayor Iceburg, what can I do for you?" Rainuh said
"Well Sumi tells me that Iza does alot of shopping here and I'm wanting to make my first Painting, I was told you have some good quality art equipment" Cray said
"Hmm, Well you've certainly come to the right place, Well what is it that your looking for?" Rainuh said
Some Particular paints some Light and Bold color paints along with some Paintbrushes" Cray said
"Hmm well what sort of Painting are you planning on making" Rainuh said
"I'm sorry I can't give out that information..Its a secret." Cray said
"Ah I see...well lets me think" Rainuh said as she went to the back of the store
Sumi was just looking around trying to find me stuff to occupy his time as he was sitting down in a nearby chair
"So I see that you made a new friend?" Sai said
"Huh?" Sumi said
"Its nice to see that your finally starting to make some new friends" Sai said
"I'm not making friends I'm just helping him out that's all" Sumi said
"Come on you can't fool me" Sai said
"Will you just leave me alone" Sumi said
Uh Sumi who are you talking to?" Cray said
Sumi quickly realized he was talking to himself
"Wha...Oh no one" Sumi said as he was twiddling his paws
Rainuh then showed up with a few small cans of Paints.
"Here you go some good qauility Paint, made entirely from scratch by yours truly" Rainuh said applauding herself
"Awesome so how much?" Cray said
" 300,000 beris" Rainuh said
Cray then sweatdropped
"$300,000!?" Cray said
"Yeah Paints like these are top quality here in Water 7, all the ingredient that i use to make all comes from the canals and expensive imports and the best part it can withstand water...But...you can have them free of charge" Rainuh said
"Really?" Cray said
"Yep consider it a thank you for saving our Mayor" Rainuh said
"Thank you very much" Cray said
"Your welcome but as for the Painbrushes through your gonna have to pay for those" Rainuh said
"Wow this was awesome thank you so much Sumi for showing me this place" Cray said
"your welcome" Sumi said
"Well I'm heading back, I'll see you later" Cray said as he was walking off
Sumi just stood there contemplating on what he should do.
"Hey Cray!" Sumi yelled
"Yeah?" Cray said
"Um...Nevermind bye" Sumi said as he was quickly walking away
Sumi just put his head down in embarrassment
"Wow Really your just going to give up just like that?" Sai said
"Shut up" Sumi said as he continued walking
Your seriously going to miss your chance" Sai said
"I said shut up" Sumi said
"...Fine" Sai said as he disappeared
"Hey everyone I'm back" Cray said as he put down his equipment
Cray then looked and noticed everyone all in one room
"Hey Cray, we've been waiting for you" Nami said
"For what?" Cray said
"Sanji has something important to tell us..in regards to Ussop" Nami said
..Ussop?" Cray said
"Yeah..but Sanji wanted to wait till everyone was here to tell us" Nami said
"Well I'm here, So whats going on?" Cray said
(One Explanation Later)
"Wait So Ussop is wanting to join us again?" Luffy said
"Yeah I saw him on the coast practicing his return speech not to long ago" Sanji said
"Thats Great news I was so worried..Okay lets go get him" Luffy said
"Well Thats Ussop for you" Nami said
"Were gonna get a Crew back" Luffy sang as he, Nami and Chopper were about head out the door
"Wait Hold on a second" Zzoro said Stopping Luffy
"yeah" Luffy said
"I Understand that you want to see him again but I won;t allow you tpo bring him back here" Zoro said
Huh? why not? "Luffy said
"You can't kiss his ass, and tell him your happy to him again right?" Zoro said
"Zoro" Luffy said
"Until he bows and apologizes for what he did, he can;t come back!" Zoro said
"ZORO YOU BIG JERK HE'S OUR FRIEND!" Chopepr yelled
"Hey I don;t know what your problem is but..." Nami said
"SHUT UP!" Zoro yelled making NAmi stop talking
Zoro then started to walk towards Luffy
"it doesn't matter what you two were thinking when you started arguing or who was wrong or right either, when two men agree to have a duel with each other no matter what the outcome is, they have to accept it...and after he lost that duel he left on his own accord..you all understand right? He maybe an idiot but this guy is still our captain, were better off without a crew member who can't respect there leader when things get rough... a crew with no respect in a captain that doesn't demand it is destined to fall apart quickly" Zoro said
Zoro then reached towards Luffys cheek and then pulled him towards his face to look at him straight in the eyes
" LISTEN I DON'T MIND IF YOUR EASY GOING MOST OF THE TIME! BUT RIGHT NOW YOU GOT TO MAN UP! YOU CAN'T HAVE PEOPLE WALK ALL OVER YOU! CAUSE IF YOU DO ITS GOING TO BE ME WHO LEAVES THIS CREW!" Zoro yelled
"Your making this more complicated then it needs to be" Nami said
"Don't get me wrong its fine he wants to join the crew and its fine that you want him back...but...if he doesn't apologize for what he did and pretend like nothings happened between the two of them Then I won't forgive him and i won't stand for it...In other words we'll leave the island without him" Zoro said
What?" Chopper siad
"Look I understand that it was Ussop that was in the wrong not Luffy but we can settle all that once he joins up with us again" Nami said
Zoro then unsheathed one of his swords and planted on the floor
"SO THE FACT THAT HE LEFT OUR CREW MEANS NOTHING!? HE CAN COME AND GO AS HE PLEASES!?" Zoro yelled
"No I.." Nami said staggering with her words
"Nami...I hate to admit it...but just this once...I have to agree with him" Sanji said
"I'm with Zoro on this to" Cray said
"Cray!?" Chopper and Nami said in an upsetting tone
Ussop is a good friend, but a lack of respect can cause problems later on, I won't sit back and watch everything fall apart like it almost did...as much as it pains for me to say it...theirs a point where we need to draw a line, and this is it" Cray said crossing his arms
If he pulls a pointless stunt like this on whim how are we suppose to trust him moving forward?...its simple, if the first thing to come out of Ussops mouth is an apology then were good...but if he tries to make some excuse then he's no longer welcome here...were not just pretending to be pirates...this isn't a game" Zoro said as he sheathed back his sword.
Luffy was then contemplating on what zoro said to him.
"Your right...we've already went our separate ways before, theirs still a few days until they finish with the ship we can wait that long...its all up to him" Luffy said as he sat down
