This is not an update for Darth Sauron, and unfortunately, there might never be one. I am sorry to say to the fans of this story, but this will probably be the end of it. There are a lot of factors that come into play, and you would not be wrong to say one of them is college. But there are also other reasons as well. A big one is that I highly underestimated the creative scope I needed to make this into a proper story. Sure, I could maybe rush this, but it would not feel right. When watching the Clone Was, it really showed how much I was trying to change and it was too much. I don't have that kind of capacity unlike other writers have with Star Wars fics. And the many plots I had planned when thinking them over during the pandemic lost luster in them and I thought of some points of it to be too convoluted or stupid.
Another is that in comparison, I have other stories that have a greater appeal to like Rose Dragon Empress, Fate: Burning Heaven, and Angel of Despair. I want to focus on those stories and with how the times are going I might not have the time to the writing I want to do.
For those curious, here are important plot points I had planned for Darth Sauron:
-The Dominion and Alliance have a temporal alliance against the Separatists. There would have been chapters of clones and orcs interacting, with a funny one of a Warchief and his pet named Stumpy.
-Vaylin awakens and becomes Queen of the Dominion.
-Sauron purposefully sows greed in the Republic that forces tensions with the Dominion.
-The fall of the Republic happens in canon only with the edits of clones trying to save their commanders from themselves.
-Sauron kidnaps Leia to turn into one of his Nazgul
End for a potential sequel.
So what is left for Darth Sauron? I am not going to delete it. There was just really too much that I had to write in like ground battles, space battles, and lightsaber duels. As it is, this story will be up, but will never be finished. Any of you are welcome to adopt and take a try to realize what I tried to envision in this fic.
