So here ends the 2nd act of the NG+ storyline, and, with that, come another hiatus from my end. I'm not gonna lie, the story is getting way longer than I originally anticipated, and with my planning to pump out chapters twice a week (plus Pocket Castle Side stories), I'm kinda burning out on this story. However, I will make sure that the end is published in the end, I don't want to let people hanging on this like it's the case for way too many MGQ related projects.
I'll stop updating this story for a month at most (although there will be a small interlude midway, and I'll do a small clean up of posted chapters before restarting). I just need to recharge a little, the story will be over by the end of the year or mid-january at most, this is a guarantee. In any case, the global layout of the third act has been written. Nothing set in stone for now, but it's still in phase with what I had initially planned.
Small warning for interested readers. While the third act should be shorter than the two first, it's going to be a lot darker and action-packed. I won't get into too much spoilers, but with the stingers of the latest chapters, you can already guess this is not going to be pretty.
I also already already considered a few ideas for my next fanfic, still an MGQ centric one, and I'd like everybody's opinion on the matter.
-The first is kinda focused on a scholar who is compiling stories about heroes through the world's history. You remember those tidbits where the Grand Noah Queen, Mephisto or Micaela talked about heroes? Well, the idea is to explore more about those people who quiiiite didn't make it into legends for good (or bad) reasons.
-The second one would be centered on Tamamo, namely that period where she just escaped her seal. In particular, I hesitate between one mostly faithful to what I think happened, and a completely crack one that involved a game of Dwarf Fortress going… well, full Dwarf Fortress, which involves insanity on the best of days and an apocalyptic rampage on the worse ones.
-The third one is about the aftermath of the "Succubus Fantasy" anime that had been released long ago. Namely how would people the original world deal with the possible return of the Six Ancestors after a period of peace.
-The fourth one would be a prequel to Paradox, centered on the Great Disaster, and the answers from the Angel and the Monster World. I'm interested into exploring in that direction, but I'm kinda concerned this is going to be hardly involving, as a lot of it will focus on the less likeable characters.
-And the fifth (and last) one would be centered on a character growing and living in Remina in the original world not long before the slaughter, as well as the aftermath.
