Darcy quickly managed to find the control room and began to get right at work of disabling all of the security or anything that would alert anyone that the both of them just broke into the area. It wasn't that much of a challenge for her and she was able to do so. Once Darcy was then she pulled out her walkie talkie and turned it on to contact Loki.
"Science girl to Mysto, the security has been taken down, I repeat the security has been taken down." said Darcy through the walkie talkie. Though once she was finished then she heard of a groan from the other side of the line.
"Darcy, can you just talk in proper english?" said Loki annoyed at his partner in crime "Just keep track of that Midgard technology of yours and make sure that no one finds out that we're here. Once if they do, then try to alert me at once." With that Darcy just rolled her eyes and continued to work as she focused on the screen and try to see if there's anymore signs of any security measures that needs to be taken down.
"You do know that I was just trying to talk in code to make things a lot more cooler and fun right?" said Darcy "Since it's something that people in Earth do in these kind of situations."
"Well I am not from Midgaurd, so speak in a form that you know that I would understand." said Loki exasperatedly. Which it wound up resulting in Darcy groaning in frustration and began to keep her eye on the screen and now hopping that Loki will be able to get the Infinity stones and get out of there already. Along with Loki being more corporative when it comes to things like this.
"You do know that I was trying to lighten up the situation right?" said Darcy trying to sound annoyed but in reality trying to make some form of conversation with her roommate. But it immiedatly going to fail in every way.
"Darcy, you do know that we're in a situation that is dangerous for both of us correct?" said Loki exasperatedly "Just make an attempt to keep watch and take this seriously." Though Loki's little 'you must take things seriously" comeback made Darcy groaned in frustration and then immediately picked up the walkie talkie aggressively.
"Ugg you clearly don't know how to have fun!" said Darcy extremely annoyed and angrily and then hung up on him angrily. Let's see how it goes for him if I'm not around to help him." With that Darcy pulled out one of her many comic books and began to read nonchalantly, along with ignoring whatever is happening on the screen. She figured that if Loki was so good at fighting off villains on his own then he probley could do it without her help. But little does she knew that she was going to regret this decision in the long run.
An hour later
Darcy manage to finish the comic book she was reading and then put it back in her backpack and decided to return to her job of watching how things are going. Then to Darcy's surprise it the screen was blurry and she couldn't see what was on the other side. At first she thought that it must have some wired technical difficulty. But as Darcy tries to fix it, she then realized immediately that it was not broken and Loki could possibly be in real danger. Then again Darcy feels like she doesn't have to worry about Loki, since he is an Asgardian/Frost Giant after all and could get through anything life throws at him. But then again there's always a first time for everything and she shouldn't overestimate Loki's abilities to fight through it. Though Darcy isn't going to start assuming that things are going to be that easy and she felt like that she's going to have to look around the entire hideout. Which Darcy decided that it might be best to do so before it's too late.
She quickly left the control room as fast as she could possibly can and began to walk around the headquarters to see if there was any signs of Loki. Along with sneaking around to try to see if she could see any sign of Loki or if any guards are running towards the situation ready to fight off Loki in anyway that they can. But fortunately she doesn't seem to see anyone running over to the other side of the hideout to try to help out in any kind of way. Though she kept an eye out in case of any form of changes that could make her ready to fight to save Loki. But so far she has not seen any sign of Loki and as she kept on going through the facilty then there was something that immediately caught her surprise. After quickly having a quick glance through the small windows of two steel doors, there were two people of opposite genders separated from each other and it seems like that they have super powers. Darcy immediately knew that she needs to help them out and maybe those two can help her find Loki. Since Darcy knew that HYDRA have no right to capture inocent people and turn them into their lab rats. She's determined to make a change and try to help them and Loki in anyway she can.
"Uh excuse me?" said Darcy knocking on the girl's door and capturing both the girl's and the boy's attention. They immediately began to head closer towards the door and was already interested in what the girl may have to offer "Do you two want to get out of here and maybe start a new life in the outside world?" Though Darcy probley didn't expect on how they would probley react.
"We want to get out, but to get revenge on Stark for our parents' death." said the platinum blond haired guy. Darcy did not expect that to come from both of them and she is now hoping that this was their idea of a joke. Since if not then she might have to get Loki to go and talk to these two. That is if she could find him that is and before Hydra finds him. But Darcy knew that she will worry all about this later and she need to get their help in order to find Loki right now or else they may be staying in the Hydra facility a little longer than she was planning.
"Ok I don't really recomand that... But anyway I'm going to make a deal with you and it might interest you that's all." said Darcy immiediatly. Which it got both of them immediately interested in what she has to offer "If you two help me find my friend who is lost in here and help us escape then I'll give you two your freedom and you could call us whenever you may need help. Just help me and my friend, then you will get your freedom and you can use it in anyway you want. As long it doesn't get anyone in trouble and you guys won't do something completely crazy that would get us in serious trouble or put us in any danger in anyway then we'll be fine and go our own separate ways. What do you say?" The two of them deeply thought about it for a moment and they seem to at least be considering the offer that Darcy put on the table. After a couple of minutes if thinking it over then the twins finally made their decision and knew exactly what they are going to do.
"We are willing to help you, only for the exchange of our freedom and you and this friend of yours is willing to stay out of our way when we go after Stark." said the girl immediately "Along with giving us a mode of transportation after we make our escape." Darcy didn't really think that it was a good idea to agree to something that might eventually lead to a lot of people getting hurt. But then again those two are going to be dealing with Iron man who has a super powered suit and the other Avengers. Plus she also has Thor on speed dial and she'll warn him of those two ahead of time and the Avengers will take care of them if they need to. Since despite now working with a superhero, Darcy always try to keep her part of the bargain and won't let Loki deal with them unless he really wants to. Just this once after all, then otherwise she'll be arguing with Loki for months until she threthens to kick him out again.
"It's looks like that you have a deal." said Darcy immiediatly "But first how do I get you guys out of here? Is there a key or a password that I should know about?" It immiediatly got the three of them frustrated and now they need to deal with another obstacle in front of them and it looks like it's going to be another long day for both Darcy and Loki.
An Hour Later
Darcy finally manages to get the twins out of their prison and it immediately resulted in the three of them finally getting down to business. Darcy knew that the only way they can find Loki and get out of here as fast as they can possibly can is that they use their skills and powers to accomplish their goals and get out of there. As the three of them were searching, they really did not expect what was going to happen is going to happen.
"Ok we have to search the entire place in order to find my friend and get out of this joint." said Darcy determinedly "I'm guessing it might be a good idea to split up. But the three of us have no way of communicating to each other in case something happens. But we can-" Before Darcy could continue on and trying to formulate a plan of finding Loki and escaping from the Hydra hideout. She really didn't expect to be called out of nowhere.
"Darcy! What were you thinking of leaving the control room and putting yourself out in the open?" said Loki right behind the three of them "Who are those two people with you?" Once the three of them turned to look at Loki who was still in his Mysto costume and he has the scepter in his hands. Darcy never thought that she would be this happy to see Loki even if he was in his new superhero alter ego.
"Lo- I mean Mysto, Am I ever that you're ok!." said Darcy happily but then immediately became angry at him "Why weren't you even answering your walkie talkie when I tried to call you?! Do you have any idea on worried I was when I try to call you and you were't exactly answering my calls?"
"I couldn't answer your device because of two reasons, 1 I was sneaking around to their most watched area of this entire facility. So I had to make sure that no one suspects a thing and avoid any form of unusual activity. My second reason is that on my way to where they were holding the scepter, I believe that I have broken your device before I could even have a chance to use it." explained Loki "But if there is anyone who should be angry about any of this then it should be me. You could never imagine my surprise when I went to their maintenance room where you should have been and I couldn't find you there. Do you have any idea on how concerned I was because if you suddenly got yourself injured or dead then I would never forgive myself?! Don't get me started on your friends and they probley wouldn't have let me hear the end of it for the remainder of my days."
"Well you didn't exactly told me to stay put." protested Darcy annoyed "In a place like this and whenever someone doesn't answer the others' calls or at least tell the other what their plan may be and warn them ahead of time. Then maybe we wouldn't be having this discussion if you-" But before she could get a chance to continue, the girl immediately interupted the two of them.
"I hate to interrupt your little disagreement, but we have bigger problems to worry about." said the girl pointing out the obvious. With that a bunch of Hydra guards came running towards them ready to attack the four of them. They look like if they did not want to deal with any of them as easily as many would like to hope.
"She does have a point." said Darcy immediately to Loki "Maybe it might be best to agree to talk about this later. When we don't have to have a fight for our lives a battle against some crazy communist guys."
"I agree we can discuss this later." said Loki immediately to Darcy and face all of the guards that were surounding the four of them. From the look of things, the Hydra soldiers look like if they were going to attack and fire at any moment. In quick thinking, Loki immediately came up with a plan of attack and knew what they might have to do it together and potentially win this fight by using their skills and powers in order to stop the Hydra soldier for this section once and for all. "Let's use all of our skills together in order to defeat them and then find our way to the portal." Both the twins quickly glanced in confusion once they heard Loki said it. But then they immediately shrugged it off and did what Loki told the two to do and it immediately began the fight against the Hydra Soldiers. It was pretty much an easy fight and win. Since unlike with any of the previous fights they now have an Asgardian/frost giant, a girl with crazy telekinesis powers and a guy who can run as fast as the speed of light. So it was preety much an easy win for them, especially when the girl uses her powers in order to knock the remainder of the guards and then almost immediately it cause the majority of them to get knocked out. Once the majority of the guards got knocked out then Loki led the group to a hidden portal that could lead them out of the Hydra facility in an instant.
An Hour Later
Once the group escaped and got somewhere safe that no one from Hydra could be able to find them and somewhere where public transportation is really accessible for anyone who might want to go anywhere. After seeing that she might have enough money for two tickets, Darcy paid for the next ticket to somewhere they might have access for an airport. So with that already set, the four of them were outside a train station to not only drop them off, but also to see them off on whatever happens next and to make sure that they were ok. But it was mostly on Darcy's insistence and Loki was kinda made to be there. For not only it would make him look like a true and honerable superhero, but he also needs to wait around in the area because unlike him, Darcy doesn't know her way around the hidden portals and he does not want to deal with any complications he left her behind or an angry Darcy yelling at him once she eventually made her way back home.
"Are you guys sure that you won't take my offer and room with us?" asked Darcy hopping that they would say yes and possibly drop the whole 'we must get back at Tony Stark no matter what" attitude.
"We are sure, if we are going to do anything it may be better if we do it now before Hydra goes after us." said the girl "Otherwise they will bring us back to their headquarters and continue to torture us and we may never have a chance to escape like this agian."
"We can't all stay together then otherwise we'll be an easier target." said the guy "We can't afford to do that and plus I don't think your friend would want to take off that mask for us." That immediately got Loki really annoyed and frustrated. But that didn't stop Darcy from continuing to be nice to the two.
"Well if you two ever need anything then look us up in London." Said Darcy "Since we'll always be available and be willing to help you guys in anyway we can." Loki was about to protest and talk to Darcy about her promise, but she immediately sensed that and kicked his leg before he could say anything.
With that they didn't have anymore to say to eachother and they all left their separate ways. Loki and Darcy began to head over to a secret portal and get back to London before the day ends and someone they know would notice Darcy is missing and begin to investigate to the point that they see and figure out their secret. But while they were doing so, Darcy began to have a conversation with her roommate.
"So that's the famous septar that caused so much destruction in New York and turned Erik and Hawkeye into mind controlled zombies." said Darcy looking at the septar in deep awe "So can you really mind control anyone with a touch of a person with this thing?" The question kinda made Loki cringe at the very memory of working with Thanos and all he wants is to try to forget the lowest moment of his own life. But it probley wouldn't hurt to give someone his point of view of the battle of New York and maybe someone could finally understand that he wasn't just the big bad villain of the story that probley been told a billion of times before and after the last couple of years.
"With one touch on their chest then I can have anyone under my control in an instant. It can be useful at times, but in the wrong hands it can be extremely dangerous." said Loki "But it's not only due to the fact that it does have an Infinity stone within it."
"Yeah I kinda figured that out when you wrecked an entire city by using it." said Darcy "Along with the fact that you probley gave your brother and the other Avengers a big major headache. Especially Thor and Iron Man because you kinda gave your brother a hard time and trashed Iron man's pent house tower thingy. Also Hawkeye because he was your faithful mind controlled sidekick for a little bit. Along with the people in charge of the city because they have to pay for whatever damages you made and don't get me started on those builders who probley still need to do damage control. Not too mention repair whatever thing left and there's also the doctors who have to deal with hundreds of patients. Well the bright side is that at least the reporters got a good story and those builders and doctors probley got a raise and promotions from cleaning up your mess. Maybe I should just stop talking right now and just say no offense." With that she immediately gave a nervous giggle and noticed how bothered Loki was at the not so friendly reminder of his past visit to Earth. Despite living with Loki for a while Darcy backed away from him just in case of anything that he might do. Since as she said before he did wreck an entire city and let's not get started at what happened back in New Mexico.
"Why would I be offended? You just reminded me of one the low moments of my life and all of things that I did that led me to this situation where I am on a chase to grab the stones before a mad titan does. Who also happens that want to kill me as well." said Loki sarcastically "Of course I am not offended." That gives Darcy the cue to try to change the subject and try to divert Loki's attention that isn't the fact about his current living situation or his new superhero life.
"So are we almost near the portal?" asked Darcy immediately "Since I was thinking that maybe we should take a day off from all of this stone chasing. I mean we both deserve a day off from all of this. I mean come on one day off probley wouldn't hurt and even the Avengers probley took some time off as well right?"
"I suppose you do have a point and at least I won't have to go around in this ridiculous costume tomorrow." said Loki relief and then turn to Darcy "So what do you plan to do to those two? Since they are probley trying to find their way to wherever Stark may be and planning to do whatever they wanted to do to him."
"I'm going to call Jane tomorrow and ask to talk to Thor tomorrow. I'll just tell him about those two and that I over heard what they might be planning. Then hopefully he'll warn Iron man in time."
"Do you really want to risk their trust and put those two people's trust in jeopardy. Along with potentially making things a lot harder on both of us in case they ask any questions on how you could have possibly known any of this information?"
"Yeah of course, it not only saves peoples' lives but it also helps them in a way right way. Those two are literally going down a path of revenge and they are going to face a lot of serious consequences if they continue to do so. Plus I just don't want to see them get hurt in anyway and hope that if they do come to us then they will be more than willing to let us help them in anyway we can." said Darcy "I mean I helped you from you're dark past and so far you turned out alright and haven't tried to blow up the city yet." Loki is unsure of this attitude and know better that not everyone is going to make a miraculous heel face turn over night or at all. But somehow he hopes that Darcy is right so that way she won't be disappointed in anyway or it would lead them to even more trouble in the future.
"Hopefully you're hopes are justified, if not otherwise we are going to have another problem to worry about." said Loki. But before he could say another word to Darcy, he knew it might be better to keep the rest to himself. Since Loki know better than anyone what it was like to be in a situation where it might be too good to be true. Since the moment he received and held Gungir for the first time, he felt like he was finally going to get the love and apreaciation that he thought that he would never gain by just being himself. Especially after the fact that he's really a frost giant. But he was dead wrong because by landing on Thanos's planet, then leading an alien invasion, being thrown in jail and then not only escaping to later fake his death to his own brother. Along with now on some crazy wild goose chase that could possibly get both Darcy and himself killed. Before any of the two could say anything, they were close to the portal and then they immediately went through it and kept on going. They may not know what might happen next, especially now that they have four Infinity stones and they still have yet to face Thanos and locate his whereabouts and how to get there. But no matter what they are going to try to find a way to get the other two stones and the gauntlet before Thanos comes to earth and finds them.
I'm back! First of I hope that you all like this chapter and enjoyed meeting the Maxioff twins. Sorry if I portrayed them differently or wrongly compared to how they were in the movie. Since this is my first time that I have ever written another Avenger besides Thor. Plus out of the two it's pretty obvious that Scarlet witch has the most character development. So just bare with me and it's not going to be the last that you will see of them and you might meet the other Avengers really soon. So stay tune for that. Who else saw Thor Ragnarock and like it? Especailly on how Loki and Thor somewhat got a happy ending before Infinity war and Loki finally redeems himself. Even though there are going to be some elements and charecters apearing in the sequals, I can't really do some parts of the storyline. Since a lot of that factors into the orriginal ending for the dark work and age of ultron when it comes to the Hulk. The events of Thor Ragnarok arn't going to occur in this story or make any major changes in anyway that it make me want to change the story drastically. But don't rule out seeing Hela in this story just yet and you might see her sometime in the fulture. I also want to apologize for this crazy long delay becuase I never intended it for this long. But due to story issues,personal problems and the fact that I now just started college. With my schedule and school assignments it might make me have even more delays. But one thing I will tell you that I will never abandon this story because not only because I want people to read it. But I also like to see this story grow and I enjoy writting. I also enjoy that you all enjoyed reading it and stuck by me this long. So I thank you all for your loyalty and I hope that you enjoy the rest of it. Since if you think of it after this arc I'm planning for the next couple of chapters, a few reveals, along with drama going into the mix and then a big major final battle this story will be done. Though there is going to be a sequel, I can't help but going to miss this story because it seems like yesterday when I came up with the idea and begin to write the first chapter. But I'm having trouble deciding on a title and going to let anyone who is open to come up with a title write it down and I take it into acount and then we can all vote which one could be the title for the sequel. The winner will not only get their title on the sequel, credit in the summary box and a special preview for one of the first chapters of the Redemption sequel.
