Loki immiediatly thought up a plan and how to get out of the mess that he didn't even know how he even manages to get himself in this situation. But he's determined to get himself out of this mess once and for all. So he quickly came up with a plan and calmly approached Thor already ready to answer all of his questions and to ask some of them of his own.
"I saw that these people were in danger and screaming for their lives because of this strange technology." explained Loki "So I figured that someone has to help these people and if no one does it then who will? But I should be asking you why did you help me besides that vow to protect everyone? Since I thought that you would be with the Avengers and be fighting your battles with them."
"Well I was with the Avengers, but I had to leave them temporarily because of a vision I had about the end of Asgard and I decided to leave in order to investigate." explaned Thor already feeling a sense of trust in him that he doesn't even know why he's feeling that way. "I still haven't found the answers that I needed, so I'm going back to help them fight a threacourous peice of technology that is going to destroy all of humanity as we speak." Now that immediately captured Loki by surprise because in the time he returned to Earth and saw the technology that they created looks like it was more for eintertainment purposes not to terrorize people and kill everyone in sight.
"What?" said Loki immediately capturing him by surprise and imiediatly already curious off the situation on it's own and also feel like he should be prepared in case he has to keep the Infinty stones a little more than just a careful eye on them. "Who created this technology? Is it someone from this planet?"
"Well it is one of the humans, but I really can't say who because he'd probably wouldn't like it if everyone in this realm knows one of his gravest mistakes in his entire life." said Thor "You really do not want to what happened back there and it was really a huge mess for Stark to clean up afterwards."
"I may not know much on what may be going on, but I'll take your word for it." said Loki "So what are you planning to do once you reunite with the Avengers? Do you all have any plans to stop this strange machinery before it kills everyone on this planet? Since I did not just move to this city to later be killed by a mindless piece of dangerous technology that never should have been made in the first place."
"Well I did leave the Avengers briefly, so I really don't know if they already have a plan and if they do then maybe it will work and we can destroy all of them before they can cause any real damage." said Thor but then began to think of something that might be able to help stop the Ultron problem almost immediately. But first figured that he should talk to him about it and find out how he feels about it. "You seem to be good at fighting these things and stayed alive long enough to tell the tale. We could use some help in destroying all of this machinery before it can destroy all of us. So do you think that maybe you could lend us a hand?" Now that immediately captured Loki by surprise because he never thought that Thor would invite him to fight on his side again in a friendly gesture. But it does help that he is wearing his Mysto costume right now and Thor believes that he's entirely a different person under the mask. But Loki feels like that there's no way it could ever work out or if he could trust himself to even make it work out. He also don't want to feel like if he could have something that he would have wanted before all of this happened, but doesn't want to get his hopes up to the point that he will be doing reckless things to make sure that it would happen. Loki just decided that it might be best to push himself away from Thor while he still can as Mysto or else if something happens then Thor finds out the truth then any hope for a new life and a better relationship with Thor will be gone in an instant and back to his jail cell for the rest of his life. Thus making things a whole lot easier for Thanos and for some reason the idea of never seeing Darcy again bothers him. Loki just immediately concludes that it probley because she was his first friend in the past couple of years and don't want to loose her because of his own selfish desires like what happened with Thor and his mother. Loki was determined to make sure that doesn't happen no matter what may happen next or how much he wants Thor to know the truth.
"Thank you for the offer Thor, but I mostly work on my own and have really horrible secrets that you probley don't even want to know." said Loki immediately "Since if you knew then you probley would be surprise and angry at me for everything that you wouldn't forgive me once you knew." That immediately caught Thor by surprise and became curious of the mask hero who was secretly his own brother. It made him even more curious of the masked hero and wants to learn more about him. Along with possibly try to help him in anyway he can possibly can. But Thor knew that he can't help anyone if he doesn't even know who the person is underneath the mask in the first place.
"So are you on the run if you are so concerned about wearing a mask over your head?" asked Thor trying hard to apeal and get to know him. But Loki isn't planning to let that happen and he felt kind of strange of having a conversation with Thor and Thor does not even know that he was there. The fact that he also believes that he's a complete stranger and doesn't even know that his own brother is underneath the mask also makes the conversation even more awkward and more strange by the minute. He feels like that he must push him away as much as possibly can for both of their sakes.
"You can say that if you wish." said Loki immediately afterwards "I do not wish to go any further than that because my story is not something that you would want to hear it." That immediately caught Thor's attention and Mysto's attitude reminds him so much of his own brother and he now wishes that he was here to help him deal with the strange hero in front him. Since even though Loki may have always disagreed with him but he always tries to give helpful advise and always the reason why things doesn't turn out as bad as it could possibly be. Even though they might have gotten in some form of trouble from smoking of danger or an an Odin who have a punishment for both of them waiting for someone to experience. But Loki never left his side and tries to help, well most of the time before the first coronation. While Loki wishes that Thor could somehow know about him being alive so that way he could help him get out of this mess that he doesn't even know how he even got into this fine mess in the first place and it remind him the many times where Thor does something and it leads him to somehow involved into the problem or in the same punishment as Thor. In fact it was especially during those times all Loki wanted to do was pull his hair out and even believes that he was going to become insane due to his rash actions and decisions that later on put them in more trouble. But Thor always manages to fight back and figures out a solution even if he was the one who thought of most of them. At least they always find a way to get out of it and still can tell the tale today even though there are some moments that he would rather forget. But despite how the current situation may be, both of them knew that they need to suceed no matter what. Whether if it's to keep a secret of someone's own current living status or wanting to help someone that is now pushing him away as they speak. They are determined to succeed in their goal no matter what challenges that the other may bring.
"Well how long have you decided to try to be a hero? Not many humans decide or want to be a hero." said Thor "Probley because it can be too dangerous or they don't want the burdan of being a hero." I can see why thought Loki quietly to himself. Since despite what Darcy may say about how honorable being a superhero may be. But in Loki's eyes it has caused as much trouble for them as much as it has helped him keep his whole existence remain a secret.
"It was an unexpeceted decision that I was even surprise that I made it myself. In fact I really at times wish that driving force could take it easy when it comes to these things." said Loki as honestly as he have been in this entire conversation "'But I decided to go against it and just live with the decision that I have made. In the end I hope that something good will come out of it and I am not wasting my time by doing all of these deeds that could cause more harm than good to this world."
"I'm sure that you could succeed in your goals if you try hard enough." said Thor "Since as a hero you can make a lot of accomplishments and it could be something that you can be proud of for the rest of your life." Loki isn't that sure that he feels that way at the moment to ever will feel that way as a hero. But he know one thing that he needs to get out of the area as fast as he can. Especially before Thor begins to suspect something similar between both himself and Mysto and begin to put two and two together. Since even with a mask on, Loki can't help but worry that one day someone could discover his existence and would wind up either bringing him back to his jail cell or he somehow lands back to Thanos's clutches and this time he won't be as lucky or have a chance to escape. So he must push Thor away as much as he can or else it would be a rather complicated and awkward situation between the two brothers; Thanos or no Thanos.
"It was very nice to meet you, but I have to leave right now because I have business to attend to." said Loki as briskly as he could possibly can. "So good day to you and the best of luck with your robot problem." But before he could go any farther and continue on his way, Thor was not going to let him go away that easily. In fact he wants to know about this new hero as much as he could at that moment before he even has a chance to leave the perimeter.
"Wait can you at least tell me what your name is?" said Thor trying hard to reach out to him before he even leaves. "Can you at least tell me your name? So I can at least know how to address you without calling you a complete stranger." Loki immediately grown concerned from the request, but then remembered his superhero name and he could use it to create a new identity whenever he's talking to one of the Avengers or any other being in this world besides Darcy. But in case of anything he needs to interact with someone for any reason in this world during his quest for the Infinity stones.
"A good friend of mine calls me Mysto." said Loki then with that he left as fast as he could. He made an allusion that would suddenly make him disappear from the scene and he would still be there but no one could see or hear him. Even though he manage to have a conversation with Thor but it wasn't enough to make up for all of the damage that he has already have caused in the past couple of years. But no matter what happens next he knows that he has to move forward in any means necessary even if it could hurt him in the long run.
An hour later
Loki made it to Darcy's apartment complex and was already exhausted. He does not even know how his day could possibly get even more difficult. Fortunately once he could get into Darcy's apartment quietly without a ruckus and once he could get in, he was extremely grateful that he saw Darcy still watching tv and not asking him to do all of the emergency personals' jobs for them because of some crazy crisis only he could solve. Once Loki enters the apartment, he nervously approached Darcy hoping that she does not try to make him do something else that may be going on that the tv says might be going on. But to his own surprise and relief he soon discovers that Darcy wasn't going to try to make him do something crazy that he has to go save the entire universe at that very moment. Once he quietly approached her, she turns to Loki and began the long awaited conversation for the moment.
"Well aren't you going to say anything or should I continue watching this movie that I found on tv?" asked Darcy somewhat annoyed at her roommate for his all of the sudden quiet demeanor and now hoping that Loki could make some kind of his well known scarcastic remarks that could generate to start some form of argument between the two or some kind of conversation in general.
"You do know that every time that you stare on that screen, something seems to occur in the real world that puts people's lives in danger." said Loki matter of factly "Then you push me out of your home in a costume then make me go put myself in danger in order to save a ton of strangers that you probley don't even know yourself.
"It is part of the superhero job description, so don't be surprise if you have to do it more often now because if you don't do it then you are going to be looking for a new place to crash in your Mysto costume." said Darcy slyly "But I don't think you have to worry about that. Since I know how desperate you are to live somewhere that you don't really need to worry about rent and having to do chores that you would consider undignified for any Asgardian especially when it comes to royalty."
"I have no problem doing the necessary things in life but I do have a say what I have to do." said Loki "I am not going to do every tedious or petty task that anyone is required to do that is completely a waste of time."
"I have no idea what you could consider petty or tedious. But I'm sure that if I leave you alone in this apartment for one week, I'd probbley find you living in a pig stye and being a wreck." said Darcy "So I guess it might be best if you stick with me until you get that ego of yours under control or else you'd probley won't survive a day alone in this realm and probley find yourself in a crazy debt that not even your magic can get you to escape from."
"How would you even know if I'd be doing horribly if you haven't even given me a chance to live on my own?" said Loki somewhat defensively "Even if you are right then you do realize that I could always create an allusion to hide the truth. So that way you would never know the truth no matter how hard you try to find out."
"But that wouldn't stop me from trying to find out anyway." said Darcy as defensively as her roommate "Since if you really think that I'm going to just drop it and not be a little bit suspicious of your immediate adjustment to an earth apartment with no one waiting on you on hand and foot. Along with the fact that you are the king of high standards for anything that you set your mind on anything and need it to 100% perfect in order for it to consider a success for you to consider it the biggest accomplishment that you have ever made in your entire life.
"If you've been living in a shadow for your entire life then you try to make sure that any of your fulture plans succeeded no matter what challenges or advantages that it may come their way." said Loki "I may as well make it clear that I'm always one step ahead of whatever plan you may have in store for me."
"I can be as sneaky as you are that is if I try hard to be." said Darcy "So just don't even try to underestimate before you actually get a chance to see me in action. I mean I did save you from being totally beaten up and captured by the Chitari, so you have to thank me for that."
"As I recalled I already have a plan set in motion that would have at least let me escape to the nearest corner and they probley wouldn't have know that I escaped. But if it weren't for a certain someone then coming to see if I was ok then maybe that little inconvenience wouldn't have happened at all." That immediately made Darcy rolled her eyes in an instant once Loki finished.
"Well when I got there it looks more like that you were loosing that battle and you needed all the help that you can get." said Darcy smugly "Even if you did have a plan to escape from those jerks then you'd probley wouldn't even stand a chance. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned to my apartment so badly beaten that I had to get you a doctor to fix you up. Along with possibly needing to tell Thor about you." That immediately caught Loki off guard and was immediately surprised by what she just said.
"You wouldn't dare report my brother on me just because I get injured by the chittari. Since as I recall I would immediately become a bigger fugitive on both realms if you try to tell anyone about me then it would cause more harm than good for the both of us." said Loki almost immediately "You do recall on what consequences we might have to face if Thor or anyone else discoveries that not only I am alive but on this realm running free without any form of supervision. Once they hear my reasoning for being on earth in the first place then I would be arrested on the spot and then put me in a prison where I can never escape from. Then they probley would send me back to Asgard and I will have to face Odin's wrath for a longer time than I would have faced it for just trying to take over Earth. Don't even get me started on what happened before that."
"I'm not even going to tell Thor anything or planning to do so anytime soon, I'm just saying that if you did get injured then I might have no choice but to tell him." said Darcy "Since not only you are a fugitive but there's also the fact that not many doctors on earth that knows how to deal with and take care of Asgardians. Plus it doesn't help that he besides you is the only one who knows about an Asgardian's body structure and biology. Plus I would only tell him if it's absolutely necessary that we have no choice but to tell him. I'm hoping that it won't be the case anytime soon or better yet at all. So you pretty much have nothing to worry about except try not to get yourself really injured to the point that they have to rush you to the hospital injured."
"As long as you don't tell anyone especially him then we both will be in more trouble than we need to be at the moment." said Loki "While the Avengers are focusing on their robot invasion, we'll be focusing on trying to get the Infinity stones and the gauntlet from Thanos before he comes after the stones we already obtained. I see no other way to obtain the stones and at least delay Thanos for a little while except infiltrate his lair and obtain the stones by force."
"But in order to do that, we'll have to break into Thanos's lair and steal the Infinity Stones ." pointed out Darcy "So I'm going to safely assume that you already have a plan ready for action or going to come up with one. Since I am not in the mood in becoming his little prisoner until who knows when or if we are ever going to get out of there."
"Before we storm into Thanos's lair for any reason, we need to come up with a plan on how we're going to do this without getting ourselves killed and to focus on making sure that we get out of there before anyone attacks us." said Loki "Plus we may have to improve on your fighting skills, it may have stopped most of the chatter soldiers that attacked me but it won't stop all of them or at least escape from the lair before he can kill us."
"Well at least I can stay alive in a battle and it's pretty much a good start and we already have that part covered." said Darcy "I mean I think I could pretty much defend myself and could at least take down one of the chittari guards and can still stay alive to brag to you about it."
"Just because you were lucky the past few times, it doesn't mean that you'll have the same luck when we go and try to steal the Infinity stones and the gauntlet." pointed out Loki "But with practice then maybe you can defeat at least three of them in one go."
"Well if you are going to keep underestimating me then I might as well start practicing in order to prove you wrong." said Darcy determindly "Just because you probley had a private fancy education. It doesn't mean that you know everything that goes on in this entire universe and know how capable every species you encounter. I mean you would be surprised on how strong and tough as humans can be."
"If you are so 'tough' then how come the last time I was on your planet everyone was running away, screaming for their lives?" asked Loki a bit annoyed and trying to beat Darcy in her own game.
"Probbley because a crazy maniac was trying to take over this plant and was killing everyone in your way." said Darcy really bluntly and nonchalantly. But then realize what she was saying and then immediately felt like she needs to fix her mistake. "No offense." But before Loki could say anything then all of the sudden the two of them heard a blast from across the hall. That immediately captured both of their attentions and they immediately head over to where the blast could have occurred. Once they arrived they were already in for a surprise.
The room was a mess and utterly destroyed. It was one of the most secure room of the apartment despite it being Darcy's room and where Darcy was holding the Infinity Stones. It couldn't have been Thanos because the Infinity stones were all there. Well all but one and from a quick glance they don't need to examine the room to figure out what's missing, the scepter mysteriously vanished into thin air and their only lead was a destroyed robot that looks awfully familiar to the ones that Loki was fighting earlier that day.
