Kenta had never cared for the rain. It made him wet, and it was annoying to make sure that his clothing dried properly. Walking in wet shoes left a bad taste in Kenta's mouth. Yet here he was, battling the Umibozu in the middle of a typhoon. The rain poured down violently, with huge waves slamming against the coast of Kyushu. In any other circumstances, Kenta wouldn't bat an eye. Today however, the heavens themselves cried for his brother, the fallen Shuten-Doji, for Rekka.
Kenta roared as flames engulfed his armored body. Slamming his body into the Umibozu, Kenta blew fire into the kaiju's unnatural face. Umibozu responded by slamming its tail into Kenta's side. Such a strike would have instantly killed any other cape, but not Kenta. Kenta was strong, Kenta was the undefeated Dragon of Kyushu. No one could beat him in the fighting pits, not even the disgraced Sentai Elite capes that were bound to the pits.
The air around Kenta heated up as flames covered the Metal Dragon from head to clawed toe. Several Sentai Elite capes were too slow in backing off, ending up with severe burns. One that seemed to be made of seaweed ended up burning to death. Such weaklings had no place here. Even the American Triumvirate struggled to keep up with him as Kenta and the Umibozu delivered powerful blows to each other.
Rekka, the stupid fool. Another strike from the Umibozu's tail left Kenta's right arm bloody, yet nothing could stop Kenta as he tackled the kaiju, knocking it to the ground.
Then, Kenta lit himself on fire. In the past, the kamikaze would protect Japan from foreign invaders.
Today, Kenta was the Kamikaze. Long live Japan! Long live Rekka! Long live Kenta!
Long live the Dragon!
And so, the Dragon roared and Kagoshima burned.
Himebara Emi had lived a difficult life. Life out in the countryside was easy. Working on her parents' seaweed farm was hard work, but in the end it was easy. She loved working on the farm! Going to school in the city was hard. The people there weren't like the simple country folk she was used to. The people there lived a fast pace life, and weren't as nice as the people from her village.
The girls at school were horrible to Emi. They made fun of her, and said cruel things about her parents. Emi's poor parents scraped every yen they could save so Emi could be able to go to a fancy school in the big city. Emi tried ignoring them, and it seemed to work at first.
Until they decided to follow Emi home and ran her into the seaweed bed along with her bike. Emi remembered being tangled by the seaweed, the water attempting to pull her down to the depth to feed the animals that lived in the water.
The very seaweed that Emi grew her whole life, the only reason that her family was financially afloat was about to kill her.
Except, it didn't? When Emi woke up, all she saw was seaweed. Everything was seaweed. SHE was made out of seaweed, being able to turn into different types and travel using it. Thankfully, she was able to transform herself back to the way she looked before.
Still, the damage was done. Emi couldn't have done anything anyway, for the Umibozu had arrived. Staring straight at the Umibozu, Emi's courage started to falter. Perhaps she should have gone back home to the seaweed farm?
Another large wave slammed into Kagoshima, bringing in seaweed and death in the form of water. It didn't affect Emi, the seaweed joining up with her body. Fighting the Umibozu were member of the Sentai Elite, the American capes that came to help, and a Great Dragon.
This was a bad idea, but this was her chance to be a hero! Who didn't want to be a hero? This could be her chance to finally prove that she was more than a seaweed farmer! The girls from school could never bully her again, especially if she managed to join the Sentai Elite once this was over.
Emi could make her parents proud. Using the seaweed, Emi slung herself closer to the monster. She was made out of seaweed! There was nothing the Umibozu could do to her. Eventually, Emi got close enough to see the glowing green from the kaijus 'eyes'.
Then, the Great Dragon lit itself on fire.
Emi burned alongside the city, her feet covered by water from the ocean.
Captain Marvelous was exhausted. With his Gokaigers spread all around Kyushu helping to evacuate civilians to higher ground, Captain Marvelous and his GokaiGalleon were being pushed to the breaking point. While the Americans, Sentai Elite and the unknown dragon battled the Umibozu, Captain Marvelous flew around Kagoshima and the neighboring villages to rescue anyone stranded or left behind.
Marvelous had lost count of how many trips he had to take. The GokaiGalleon was oftened filled to the brim, even filling the command room with scared civilians. The flying Tinker ship was barely able to stay afloat with the hard rain and violent waves that pounded Kyushu. Being overcapacity certainly didn't help. Still, as long as Captain Marvelous could save just one more life, he would be content.
That's what he told himself each time he set sail after dropping off each batch of civilians. lf he could save just one more life, Marvelous could die happy. Life, what a beautiful life.
Life, a poising game.
Like a wobbly drop of rain
Atop a flat leaf.
The GokaiGalleon started to shake. It seemed impossible, but the rain started to fall even harder, almost like a bullet, even thus far inland. Takachiho was the meeting place where most displaced victims were brought to from the southern part of Kyushu. From here they would be taken to Fukuoka once the weather calmed a bit.
The JMSDF and US Navy didn't want to risk their beloved ships by sending them into treacherous waters.
Gently landing the GokaiGalleon on the muddy ground, Captain Marvelous pressed a few buttons and the doors opened.
"Please evacuate in a calm manner." Captain Marvelous said over the intercom. He even added a few trademark hand gestures to help calm the children. "We'll make sure to defeat the Kaiju!" He gave a young child an exaggerated thumbs up. Even in soaking wet clothes, the young boy flashed him a big smile and sauntered off with his parents.
"Let me know when we're ready to lift off again, Gokai." Captain Marvelous patted the GokaiGalleon's steering wheel. The flying ship's energy was running dangerously low, but there were still more people to save.
Gokai made a few beeping noises. Everyone has disembarked.
Placing his shaking hand on the steering wheel, Captain Marvelous forced a large grin on his face.
"Are you ready for one last trip, old friend?"
Japan would survive as long as the people survived.
Long live Japan.
"Gokai, divert power from the weapon systems and shieldings to the engines. Disconnect power from non essential systems as well." Captain Marvelous felt the GokaiGalleon shake slightly. He made his way towards the southern coast, to see if he could find anyone who was stranded.
Marvelous had already saved about a dozen people. The youngest was around five years old, too young to die. Any age was too young to die. People die when they are killed.
"What time is it, Gokai?"
"It is now 3 am, September 3rd "
"Thank you."
It's been hours since the Umibozu had made landfall, yet Marvelous still hasn't heard any news about the kaiju being pushed back to sea. The GokaiGalleon made a beeping noise. They were almost out of fuel. They just needed to head further inland. The rest of the Gokaigers were waiting for their beloved Captain.
"Incoming transmission from all frequencies." Gokai said.
"Play it." Marvelous' heart started to beat faster.
"The Umibozu is running back to sea. The Triumvirate and an unknown Dragon are in pursuit." The transmission ended as soon as it came.
"Yes!" Captain Marvelous felt the urge to do a backflip.
All of a sudden, the GokaiGalleon's alarms started to go off. Not just one or two, but all of them.
"Status report." Captain Marvelous shouted as he pressed a few buttons. The screen came to life. The largest tsunami Marvelous had ever seen in his life was heading straight towards Kyushu. Reports of earthquakes were coming all around Kyushu.
Straight towards him.
"ALL POWER TO THE ENGINES."
The GokaiGalleon shot forward as the tsunami started to loom over the tinker ship.
"Gokai, can we make it?" Marvelous whispered softly as the tsunami drew even closer.
"No."
The waves overtook the GokaiGalleon in an instant, and Captain Marvelous was soon no more.
"Captin! I found ourselves a cape."
Captain Marvelous felt his ears twitch. What happened? Was he alive? Was he dead? Did he move onto the Land of the Dead? Why couldn't he see anything! Oh, the helmet was on backwards. Slowly sitting up, Marvelous took off his helmet that Masamune made for him.
He was greeted to the sight of a strange looking sharkman and a crowd of dark skinned men covered in barnacles. Where was he? This didn't look like the GokaiGalleon. Suddenly, a figure stepped through the crowd.
Dressed in a red coat that seemed vaguely familiar, the cape has an armored arm, with a strange bonelike coral forming on her face. She flashed him a smile with teeth that looked like they belonged on a shark.
"Tell me, do you fear Death?"

KYUSHU BACKSTORY IS DONE. The haikyu was made by Valsa George. I found it on google.
Himebara Emi was created by CMVreud on the fanfiction website.
Disclaimer, if SB or SV go down, DYFD can be found on fanfiction as well as AO3.
Im also thinking about making a but I'm not sure since my writing is pretty bad.
I saw this video the other day and it's totally something that Tayvee and crew would love to perform. Wonderland by Ateez, Kingdom version.
Did you guys enjoy Lung's backstory? Which of the OCs has the most potential?
Forgot to say this last time, but Masamune and Seiunsho are canon characters. I liked using them.
