So, without further ado… :)

When Jay slipped into Drew's room before 8am on Saturday, he wasn't expecting to see Drew awake, but there he was sitting in his swing by the window staring out at the yard.

"Hey," he said softly, "Good morning."

Drew quickly turned around and smiled, "Good morning."

"What're you doing up?" Jay glanced at the bed completely made and the perfectly laid out outfit near the closet.

"I woke up," Drew shrugged, "So I've been reading."

Jay slowly nodded then leaned against the wall near him, "Have anything you wanted to do today?"

"Um," Drew sighed, "I don't know. I…" he bit his lip and nervously glanced at Jay.

Jay smiled and sensed what he was too worried to say. He squatted down closer to his eye level and asked, "Want to go to the museum? Have a boys' day?"

Drew's face lit up, "I thought you'd never ask."

Jay laughed, "All right, go ahead and get dressed then."

"Just me and you, right?" Drew asked while hurrying over to his clothes.

"Well, we haven't seen Uncle Will in a while," Jay straightened up, "Do you-"

"Yes!" Drew smiled wide, "Please."

Jay nodded, "I'll get on that then. Meet me in the kitchen for breakfast?"

"Of course," Drew quickly pulled his pajamas off, "Trust me, we're going to have a good day."

"Oh, I believe you," Jay chuckled and walked out of the room.

Hailey came out of Blake's room holding his hand as he toddled along next to her, "So?"

"He's excited," Jay smiled.

Hailey laughed, "I knew he would be. Are you going to call Will?"

"He wouldn't even let me finish the question," Jay nodded.

Blake put his arms up once he was in front of Jay, "Dada?"

Jay picked him up, "Do you two have plans for the day?"

Before Hailey could answer, Blake grabbed Jay's nose and started babbling to him. He let out several sighs and waved his hands around a lot often pointing toward Hailey and saying "Mama." The entire time, Jay and Hailey nodded along with him until he finished.

Jay laughed and carried him downstairs with Hailey behind him, "Thank you for that story."

Blake nodded and rested his chin on Jay's shoulder. He waved at Hailey.

She smiled back at him, "You like that Daddy's carrying you, don't you? You didn't feel like walking today. Sneaky boy."

Jay set Blake in the high chair, "Is that true?"

"Dada," Blake pointed to the fridge.

"Mhmm," Jay chuckled while going to grab the applesauce for Blake.

"Vanessa's coming over," Hailey said, "We're just going to hang out."

Jay nodded, "You could take him to the park."

"Yeah," Hailey watched Blake chew on his fingers, "We go there a lot, but he loves the swings and just running."

Jay smiled, "He's a little more…wild than Drew."

"I'll say," Hailey laughed.

Jay brought Blake his pouch of applesauce then sat at the table, "Maybe we get him a cage."

"Stop," Hailey rolled her eyes.

"No," Jay chuckled, "Like a bunch of gates or something to keep him contained in the living room or his room so you can get stuff done. You've been talking about getting him to play by himself, maybe if you put him in a small area with toys, it could work."

"But…" Hailey trailed off and watched Blake happily eat his applesauce, "He's…I like spending time with him."

Jay smiled softly, "There's nothing wrong with that."

"You're right though," Hailey took a deep breath, "I'll think about it. I need to make sure I see him at all times. What if he chokes or gets hurt?"

"Of course," Jay nodded, "We just have to start training him for Little Miss Princess."

Hailey smiled and rubbed her stomach, "I know. We're trying." She looked at Blake, "Right? We talk about your sister a lot."

Blake put his applesauce down and lifted up his shirt.

"Yes," Hailey laughed, "Mommy has your sister in her belly."

Blake turned to Jay, "Dada?"

"Oh, I don't have a baby," Jay shook his head.

"Dada," Blake sighed and hit his own stomach.

"You have to show him," Hailey smirked.

Jay let out a breath then lifted up his shirt, "Happy? No baby."

"I am very happy," Hailey nodded.

Jay laughed and leaned over the table to quickly kiss her, "Shut up."

"Never," Hailey grabbed his shirt collar. Just as she was going to kiss him again, Drew came running into the kitchen.

"I'm here! I'm here! Let's go!" he yelled.

Jay sat back, "You need breakfast."

"I actually had an idea," Drew said.

"Oh, then please share," Jay nodded and held back a smile.

"We should go eat donuts," Drew smiled wide.

"Donuts, huh?" Jay chuckled.

"Bring me one," Hailey said.

"What?" Jay looked at her.

Hailey shrugged, "I could use a donut."

"It's a good idea," Drew said, "Please, Dad."

"All right," Jay sighed and stood up, "We can have donuts and then we'll go get Uncle Will."

"Yes," Drew jumped, "Okay, bye, Mom! Be good, Buzz!" He ran to the front of the house to start shoving his shoes on.

Jay chuckled and kissed Blake's head before going to Hailey, "Have fun, I'll see you later."

"Mhmm," Hailey kissed him, "Take pictures for him, please."

"Of course," Jay straightened up, "I'll keep you updated."

"Thanks," Hailey waved to him as he walked away then looked to Blake. "Well," she said, "I guess I need to eat breakfast too, huh?"

Blake held his applesauce pouch out to her.

"No, thank you," Hailey laughed, "Mommy and sister want a bagel."

"Mama," Blake waved the pouch around.

Hailey raised an eyebrow then gave in and pretended to eat his applesauce, "Thank you, baby boy."

Blake smiled and finished the applesauce, "La la!"

"I love you too," Hailey breathed and kissed his head.

When Will entered the car, Drew immediately shot forward and yelled, "Are you ready?"

"Whoa, hey," Will laughed, "Hey, bud."

"He convinced me to get donuts for breakfast," Jay explained.

"Ah," Will turned to look at Drew, "How'd you do that?"

"I just asked," Drew shrugged.

"Still feel guilty?" Will chuckled.

Jay glared at him then pulled the car out of the parking lot.

"So what're we doing?" Will asked, "Drink beers and ride motorcycles?"

Drew's nose scrunched up, "What?"

"Would you shut up?" Jay sighed.

Will smirked, "What?"

"We're going to Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum," Drew said, "I want to see the birds."

"Gotcha, gotcha," Will nodded.

"Why would we drink beer and ride motorcycles?" Drew asked.

"Cause Uncle Will is being obnoxious," Jay quickly answered.

"Well, when guys hang out, that's guy stuff," Will shrugged.

"Motorcycles sound way too dangerous," Drew said.

Already anticipating what Will could say, Jay smacked his arm.

Will pushed Jay's hand away, "Your dad had a motorcycle."

Drew's eyes widened, "No."

"Mhmm," Will nodded, "He drove around on a motorcycle."

"Dad!" Drew leaned forward, "Motorcycles are incredibly dangerous. It's like a bike on the highway!"

"It's only dangerous if you don't know how to ride it or do stupid stuff," Jay said, "I was smart."

"Wow," Drew shook his head, "I am disappointed that you would risk your life to ride a bike."

"See what you did?" Jay hissed.

"Didn't you ride with Hailey once?" Will asked quietly.

"Wait!" Drew's jaw dropped, "Detective Hailey Halstead? My mom?"

Jay sighed, "Yeah, Mom and I went for a ride once. It wasn't a huge deal. We were very safe, bud."

"Wow," Drew sat back, "This is shocking. I knew you played with guns-"

"We do not play with guns," Jay quickly corrected, "I have used my gun, but I don't just shoot it, remember that."

Drew nodded, "Okay."

"Thank you," Jay said.

Drew sighed, "I am just in shock."

"I know," Jay mumbled.

Will held back a chuckle and stared out the window.

"You really do suck," Jay whispered.

"Sorry," Will laughed.

Vanessa watched Hailey throw a ball for Blake in their living room for the hundredth time and let out a long sigh, "Okay, so what do you want to do?"

"What do you mean?" Hailey asked.

Blake ran back to Hailey and crashed into her stomach.

She grunted and put a hand on his chest to back him up, "Soft, remember? Soft for sister."

Blake nodded and handed her the ball.

"I love watching this guy run," Vanessa said, "But don't you want to go out? We can take him to one of those toddler playrooms and have a coffee."

"I can't drink coffee," Hailey rolled the ball into the kitchen and watched Blake chase it, "But I could make us hot chocolate here if you want."

"Why don't you take him out?" Vanessa asked.

"We go out," Hailey turned to her, "We go to the park and the store and you've met us at restaurants before. We've even gone to your place."

"I think he'd really like playing with other kids," Vanessa said softly.

Hailey took a deep breath, "Other kids have germs."

Vanessa raised an eyebrow, "Really? Germs? Your other son goes to elementary school, and I know that place is littered with germs."

"But he's a kid," Hailey shrugged, "Blake is…Blake is small."

Vanessa sadly smiled, "Hailey, he's not that preemie anymore."

"He's still small for his age," Hailey breathed shakily, "I don't want him getting sick. You saw him in the hospital. It was terrifying."

"And it was traumatic," Vanessa nodded, "But you can't live in fear your entire life. He's seventeen months old. Let him experience a ballpit. He'd lose his mind."

Hailey bit her lip and watched Blake nudge the ball she'd thrown with his nose laughing to himself.

"I can look up reviews," Vanessa suggested, "We can find a clean one for just little kids."

"Mama," Blake held up the ball and lightly tossed it toward her. With a soft grunt, he pushed himself up to stand and run back to climb on Hailey's lap.

She looked him in the eyes and said softly, "What do you think? Want to go explore Chicago? That's what Daddy and Drew are doing. Should we go explore?"

Blake smiled at her and pulled at her shirt to rub her stomach like he'd seen Jay do countless times, "Mama. Sss. Sss, Mama, sss."

Hailey smiled slightly, "Yeah, soft. It's your sister."

Vanessa tickled Blake's side, "Hey, big brother, do you want to go play on a slide or in a ballpit? I think it'd be fun. Do you want to get out of here?"

Blake looked at her then crawled over onto her lap. He babbled to her and frequently patted his stomach.

"I think that's a yes," Vanessa smiled.

Hailey rolled her eyes, "I think he's telling you about the baby, but…"

Vanessa's face lit up, "But?"

"But okay," Hailey pushed off the couch, "Let me go to the bathroom then we can head out. It needs to have good reviews and be clean though."

"Promise," Vanessa nodded watching Hailey walk away. Once the door was closed, she pulled her phone out and whispered to Blake, "Don't worry, I've been planning for this for a while. I know just the place your mommy will approve. Shh."

Blake giggled and covered his mouth, "Shh."

"Shh," Vanessa smiled.

Drew stayed close to Jay as they walked into the "Birds of Chicago" exhibit at the museum. He had one hand gripping Jay's shirt and the other holding tightly onto his journal and pen.

"This looks pretty cool, bud," Jay said, "I had no idea we had this many birds here."

Drew nodded and looked around. He winced at a loud squawk from a speaker, but still continued walking.

"Yeah, it's a bit loud," Will smiled sadly, "Did you want to come back in a bit? We could go back to the crocodile drawings."

"No," Drew said quietly, "I'm okay. I can wait my turn. I'll just try taking pictures."

"I like that idea," Jay fished his phone out, "What're you going to take pictures of first?"

Drew pointed to a display that didn't have anyone in front of it and dragged Jay over. As he took pictures, he seemed to slip into his own bubble and forget about the excess of sounds around him.

"He's not having fun, is he?" Jay asked under his breath, "Dammit."

Will snorted and glanced at him, "What're you talking about?"

"He's really worried right now," Jay looked around, "Do you think I can ask that family to leave?"

Will shook his head, "He's okay. Look at him. He's not even paying attention to them anymore. All he's focusing on is which bird he's seen before and which one he still wants to check off his list."

Jay breathed in, "Yeah, I guess."

"You're the one who's too worried," Will lightly hit Jay's arm, "He's spending time with you and that's literally all he wants. Yeah, maybe he was a little uncomfortable when we came in, but he has you and that was enough to calm him down so he can do something he's really into."

Jay smiled a little, "True." He softened and stepped forward to squat next to Drew and ask him questions about what they were looking at.

Will chuckled and watched them from his spot a few feet away. Once the other family had left the display with the bird sounds, he nudged Jay and nodded over there.

Jay straightened up and put his hand out, "Wanna check that one out?"

Drew's face lit up, "Yes, I'm really excited for that one, but I want to be the only one who presses the buttons."

"Fair enough, dude," Will smiled.

Drew grabbed Jay's hand and walked over with them. He spent a few minutes studying the descriptions and each bird before he turned to Will and Jay. "Do you want to play a game with me?" he asked.

"Always," Jay nodded.

Drew smiled and walked along the display, "We're going to listen to all the sounds and I'll tell you which bird we're hearing and then I'm going to press the buttons again and you two will have to guess which bird it is. I'm the judge."

Will and Jay's faces fell. Jay tried laughing, "Uh, bud," he said, "That…sounds pretty hard."

Will cleared his throat with a nod, "Yeah, I mean, I'm sure it's not impossible, but that's a lot of birds."

"You can do it," Drew pressed a button, "Listen to the cardinal."

After waiting for the sound to stop, Jay glanced to Will and smirked slightly. He then said, "Drew, what if when we play the actual game, I'm the judge and press the buttons and you go against Uncle Will – that way you can play too."

Before Will could say anything, Drew's eyes widened, "That's a really good idea. We'll do that." Will's mouth gaped as Drew pressed the next button and said, "Prairie chicken. Uncle Will, bonus points will go to the person that remembers it's endangered."

Jay chuckled and whispered, "Yeah, Uncle Will."

Will pursed his lips, "This payback for the motorcycle thing?"

"Oh, yes," Jay breathed nodding.

"Blue jay!" Drew said while jumping up and hitting the button.

Hailey hesitantly set Blake down in the middle of the indoor playground for toddlers. He immediately took off running toward the train set and squealed while pushing them around.

Vanessa walked over with two smoothies in her hands, "He's so happy."

Hailey nodded and rocked on her heels ready to run over if need be.

"Relax," Vanessa gently nudged her side, "We're the only ones here right now and they said they clean it all the time. No germs."

Hailey scoffed, but accepted the strawberry smoothie from her before going to sit down where she could still have a good view of Blake.

"Mama!" Blake yelled and held up a train, "Choo!"

Hailey smiled and nodded, "Choo-choo. It's a train."

Blake put it down so he could clap then continued pushing the trains around.

Vanessa laughed and took a picture of him, "You need to get one of those."

"He has so many toys," Hailey said, but still smiled more at Blake now truly playing by himself. After a few tense minutes where she internally debated taking Blake home especially after he licked the red train, she relaxed into the couch and took a long sip of her smoothie.

"There you go," Vanessa smiled, "See, it's okay! And he's being independent. He barely cried when you told him to put the train down."

Hailey laughed softly, "He is. I almost don't believe it's happening."

"He seemed to understand what you meant by 'sister' earlier," Vanessa said, "That's good."

"Yeah," Hailey nodded, "He might be thinking 'sister' means 'stomach,' but that's good enough for now."

Vanessa laughed, "That's really cute."

Hailey smiled as she watched Blake lose interest in the trains and just begin to walk around and look at all the toys. "Can I admit something?" she asked.

"Hailey," Vanessa raised an eyebrow.

Hailey shook her head and took a deep breath before saying, "I think I'm more scared of the baby coming now that I'm in the third trimester than I was before. There just seems to be so much – an epidural, Blake being jealous, spending time with all the kids, gosh even spending time with Jay, giving birth, having a girl. It's a lot and I can't control it."

Vanessa squeezed her knee, "I can't imagine what that's like."

Blake walked into the playhouse, so Hailey stood to watch him, then said softly, "It's terrifying."

Vanessa frowned and thought to herself before saying, "Well, what can you control?"

Hailey glanced at her, "What?"

Vanessa walked over to join her in watching Blake, "What can you control about your life right now? If you're worried you can't control anything, let's figure out what you actually can control. There has to be something."

"Um," Hailey took a deep breath, "I guess I can control…I can control…"

Blake came out of the house holding a baby doll. He seemed confused and walked right up to Hailey, "Mama?"

She smiled, "That's a baby. Just like in Mommy." She put her hand on her stomach, "Sister."

"Sss?" Blake asked.

Hailey nodded, "Sister. Sister will be like that baby. She's little and you need to be soft." She led Blake to the couch and had him sit next to her. Once they were settled, she took the doll from him and cradled it in her arms, "We have to hold her like this."

"No, Mama," Blake sighed and pushed the baby away.

"Blake," Hailey shook her head, "We need to be nice to the baby."

Blake pouted and watched Hailey rock the baby. He finally gave in and put his hands out, "Sss."

"Be soft," Hailey reminded him while placing the baby in his arms.

Blake stared down at the baby for a minute before pushing it off his lap and walking over to the toy cars. He climbed in one and spun the steering wheel around.

Vanessa couldn't help but laugh as she picked the doll up, "You tried."

Hailey even smiled and shrugged, "We'll work on it. Maybe we can go buy him a doll of his own for the house."

"See?" Vanessa sat next to her, "You can work on this. You can control how Blake reacts to other babies."

"I guess," Hailey said softly. She rubbed circles on her stomach while watching Blake.

"Baby steps, literally," Vanessa joked.

Hailey snorted and nodded. The baby kicked and she glanced down, "We can figure it out. Just sometimes-"

"I know," Vanessa rubbed her arm, "Don't apologize for being scared. You should be scared."

"Not helping," Hailey laughed.

Vanessa smiled and shrugged, "What I do best."

Hailey laughed harder, "Wrong. You are usually a big help, but not right now. We need to calm down my anxiety, not increase it."

"Then calm down; go get a massage," Vanessa suggested, "You need to relax."

Hailey shook her head, "I don't have time for that."

"Hailey, come on, yes, you do," Vanessa folded her legs underneath her.

"I have two kids and Jay," Hailey shrugged, "And I don't want some stranger touching me."

"You like when we've gotten our nails done, though," Vanessa said.

"That's completely different," Hailey sighed, "No massage."

"Then a bath," Vanessa nodded, "Maybe even with Jay."

"Jay hates baths," Hailey countered.

Vanessa groaned and tipped her head back, "You make everything impossible."

Hailey rolled her eyes and watched Blake play in the car.

Drew was still laughing at Will for losing his bird game two hours later when they were leaving the museum to get lunch. He pulled on Jay's sleeve and said for the third time, "I'm smarter than a doctor."

Jay laughed with him and glanced at Will, "You really are crazy smart."

"So funny," Will shook his head, "I got two right."

"They didn't count because I said the answers first," Drew pointed out.

"Exactly," Jay nodded.

"You really do suck," Will whispered.

Jay shrugged, "Rules are rules."

Drew nodded quickly and repeated, "Rules are rules, Uncle Will. You can't win every game."

"Yeah, yeah," Will sighed, "So, what're we getting for lunch on Drew's day of fun?"

"Pizza and root beer," Drew answered. He stopped walking and looked up at Will, "Hey! I guess we are drinking beer today." He smiled, "It's just like that guys' stuff you wanted to do today, but no motorcycles."

"Don't say that," Jay said shaking his head, "Root beer and beer are two different things."

"But why is it called root beer then?" Drew asked.

"I'm not sure," Jay said.

Drew looked back to Will, "I know you don't know bird sounds, but do you know about root beer?"

Will opened his mouth to answer, but then frowned, "Um…"

Drew blinked up at him and stopped walking with Jay at the corner before the intersection.

"I will look it up," Will answered while pulling his phone from his pocket.

"You don't know?" Drew asked.

"He doesn't know everything," Jay put his hand on Drew's shoulder.

"I know a lot," Will shook his head.

"Not about birds," Drew laughed.

Jay smirked and grabbed his hand so they could cross the street.

Once they were on the sidewalk, Will put his phone away and said, "Simple answer, root beer is called root beer because it's an alternative for actual beer."

"It wasn't simple if you didn't know it," Drew said, "Did Google tell you or do you use Bing? I have to use Bing at school and I hate it."

"What do you have against Bing?" Jay asked with a laugh.

"It's a dumb name and Google is much better, I researched it," Drew answered.

"You've been into researching, haven't you?" Jay said.

Drew nodded, "I need to know things. I already know a lot, but I need to know more. It pays off." He smirked at Will and held back another laugh.

Will ignored him and Jay's own snort to ask, "What else have you researched?"

Drew let out a breath, "I researched all my April Fools' pranks, Princess's name, dinosaurs obviously, how to be a big brother, the museum we just went to, Super Mario, Italian birds, library rules, pretty much anything that I wonder about."

Jay nodded, "That's really impressive, bud, I'm glad you look things up to learn."

"Yeah, not a lot of people do that," Will added, "Good for you."

"I'm unique," Drew said.

Jay laughed, "Yeah, yeah, you are, Drew."

Drew smiled at him and bounced slightly as they continued walking down the sidewalk toward the restaurant. Eventually, he asked, "Are you two having fun with me? This is a good day, right?"

"Of course," Jay said and stopped in front of the restaurant.

"Good," Drew nodded, "I-I was a little worried that you wouldn't like doing what I like."

"Hey," Jay squatted down, "I will always like doing what you like."

Will nodded, "That goes for me too."

Drew looked between them then stuck his pinky out, "Promise?"

"This is a promise I am absolutely positive I can keep," Jay smiled and linked his pinky to Drew's.

Drew laughed softly, "That's really good."

Will cleared his throat and waved his own pinky in front of Drew.

Drew's face lit up, "Really?"

"Duh, don't ask dumb questions," Will said.

Jay smacked Will's leg before straightening up.

"I say that sometimes too," Drew laughed and did his last pinky promise with Will.

"It can be sassy though," Jay reminded him.

"But Mom says you're sassy, remember?" Drew asked, "You have to be fair. It's okay if I'm sassy sometimes."

Will laughed and put his hand on Drew's back to lead him in the restaurant, "That's a very good reminder."

Jay rolled his eyes and followed them inside.

Vanessa looked away from the TV as Hailey came back down to the living room after putting Blake down for his nap, "I had an idea."

Hailey raised an eyebrow, "Yeah?"

"Yeah," Vanessa nodded and patted the couch cushions.

Hailey laughed and sat down next to her, "Hit me."

"A babymoon," Vanessa smiled.

Hailey stared at her then scoffed, "No."

"You need to give it another try!" Vanessa said, "It really is important that you and Jay have some time alone before the baby comes."

"No," Hailey shook her head, "I can't do that."

Vanessa sighed, "Hailey."

"I didn't even want to take Blake to that playscape today, what makes you think I want to leave him alone for a week?" Hailey asked.

"It doesn't have to be a week," Vanessa tried, "Just a long weekend, maybe even a weekend! He'll be okay. You and Jay haven't been alone since…since when?"

Hailey pursed her lips then softened as she wracked her mind. She blushed and grabbed the box the baby doll was in they'd stopped to buy Blake on the way home off the coffee table so she could open it, "Since before we took Drew in."

Vanessa's eyes widened, "Hailey."

"It's been a while," Hailey shrugged, "We did go to the hotel Hank gave us for Christmas two years ago. We just took Blake with us."

"Not acceptable," Vanessa shook her head, "You two need a weekend just you. No Drew. No Blake. No responsibilities."

"They're our kids," Hailey said, "And I love them."

"Well, of course you love them," Vanessa let out a breath, "I'm not saying you don't or you wouldn't by going, but that if you and Jay want to go into this next chapter of your lives stronger than ever, then you seriously should consider an actual babymoon."

Hailey chewed her lip and set the empty baby doll box on the ground, "I don't know."

Vanessa squeezed her arm, "I'm willing to watch the boys."

Hailey laughed quietly, "Don't lie."

"I could do it, I swear," Vanessa smiled.

"I'll think about it," Hailey said softly.

"Thank you," Vanessa nodded.

The front door opened and Drew hurried inside, "Mom! We had a really good day. I finally got to go to the nature museum!"

Hailey put a smile on her face and turned to look at him, "That's awesome!"

"And I even beat Uncle Will at a game," Drew hurried over to her, "I'm smarter than him."

Jay laughed and slipped his shoes off, "You still need to be nice."

Drew waved his hand and sat next to Hailey, "Hi, Aunt Vanessa."

"Hey, dude," Vanessa smiled, "What game did you beat your uncle at?"

"Bird noises," Drew leaned back in the couch, "It was so cool."

Jay chuckled as he bent over the couch to kiss Hailey's head, "Hey. Buzz sleeping?"

"Mhmm," Hailey turned to look at him, "We took him to one of those toddler places and he passed out on the way home."

Jay raised an eyebrow, "You actually went to one?"

"It took some persuading," Vanessa nodded.

Jay smirked and squeezed Hailey's shoulder, "I'm glad you survived."

Hailey rolled her eyes and pushed off the couch to walk around and hug him, "I'm glad you survived your bird day."

"Dad said he liked it because I liked it," Drew said.

"And I like spending time with you," Jay pointed out.

"Of course," Drew nodded.

Jay noticed the baby doll on the couch and asked, "What's that?"

Vanessa picked it up, "Sister practice."

Hailey smiled, "Yeah, at that place, there was a doll and we tried practicing being soft, but Blake wasn't having it, so I want to try more here. He needs to learn how to share me."

"Babies are very fragile," Drew said.

"Huh," Jay slowly nodded, "All right. Not a bad idea."

Hailey tilted her head to the side, "Yeah?"

"Yeah," Jay brushed her hair back, "I like it. You could combine it with my cage idea."

Hailey rolled her eyes, "I don't like that."

Vanessa scrunched her nose, "A cage?"

"Don't ask," Hailey sighed.

"Mom," Drew sat up on his knees to pat her back, "I learned a secret about you today."

Hailey's face paled and she held her eye contact with Jay, "What?"

"Uncle Will told me that you and Dad have ridden motorcycles," Drew tsked softly and shook his head, "I don't approve of danger, you should know that."

Hailey closed her eyes then turned to look at him, "It was one time."

"Dad owned a motorcycle," Drew said.

"I was always safe, I promise," Jay sighed.

Drew put his hands up, "I have no proof."

"You can believe him," Vanessa nodded, "I was there. I saw them ride it once. They are safe people."

"Okay, okay," Drew let out a breath and turned to the TV. He grabbed the remote to change the station quickly becoming distracted by it.

Hailey smiled at him then took Jay's hand to bring him to the kitchen, "How'd it go?"

"Good," Jay nodded, "It really was fun. He's…you know…I could just watch him and I'm happy."

Hailey laughed softly, "Yeah, I felt the same way with Blake. It was really cute watching him play today. He entertained himself for the most part and he's gotten pretty good at climbing things. That actually scared me."

Jay smiled slightly, "We have some baby locks up, but I can get more; I'll make this place safe for our little adventurer"

"Thank you," Hailey took a deep breath. The baby kicked her ribs and she winced leaning into Jay.

"Hey, hey," his face fell and he held her to his side, "You okay?"

"She's getting strong," Hailey weakly laughed.

"Okay, let's sit," Jay held out a chair for her, "Take a second."

In the living room, Vanessa watched Jay help Hailey sit then rub his hands over her sides to attempt to soothe any aches and pains. She smiled and leaned closer to Drew to whisper, "Hey, you wanna help me with a secret?"

Drew's eyes widened and he looked at her, "Really?"

Vanessa nodded, "Do you like secrets?"

Drew thought then smiled, "Yeah, I've been interested in secrets lately."

"Cool," Vanessa smiled too, "So I want to plan something for your mom and dad next weekend, but I'm gonna need your opinions on some stuff. Does your iPad text?"

Drew's face fell, "It does, but Mom told me she checks it, so it's not good for secrets. I don't text bad people, I only text her and Dad and sometimes Cara when she gets to use her mom and dad's stuff."

"Darn," Vanessa sighed, "Okay, we'll figure something out."

"What's the secret?" Drew asked.

Vanessa glanced back at Jay and Hailey again then whispered, "A party."
