(Warning: The following will deal with threats,mentions of teenage pregnancy, and bits of horror. Tread carefully when reading.)
* At a distant warehouse in the more seedier parts of the city, the robotic mascots are discussing new plans to fights Big Hero 7. As of now, they are coming in dry when they remembered Lenny's words about their 'effectiveness'.*
Piper: We could lure them to a trap using one of their other villains as bait! Like Sparkles?
Hangry: Nah, won't work.
*Hangry points to the news article detailing about Sparkles' release from prison and his new clean record.*
Piper: Aw.. well, at least he's having fun at my old place!
Crushroom: How about we set up a robotic clone to act as one of them so that they can destroy them inside out!
N.B.B 2: ooh! That sounds yummy!
Piper: But who do we pick? From all the files Lenny gave us they are very chummy together!
Crushroom: They would know if one is clone.
*That's is when a video call is shown and opened to reveal Lenny himself.*
N.B.B 2: Howdy and Hello Mister!
Lenny: Hello to you back Noodle Burger Boy. Now, pardon my intrusion but did I hear you say something about a robotic clone?
N.B.B 2: Yes Mister! We are thinking of switching out one of the big hero misters and go undercover as them so they can destroy Big Hero 7 from the inside out! Just like you wanted!
*Lenny raised an eyebrow in thought until he gained a rather... devious deviation to their idea*
Lenny: Actually my dimwitted fellow mechanical mascots... there is a far better use for such tech. Instead of creating someone familiar... you could create someone new? It doesn't even have to be a robot at all~
N.B.B 2: Someone... new?
Lenny: Yes... Once I prepare our agent to cross over to the city, you brief him up about a plan to destroy them from the inside out as civilians.
Crushroom: What for? Would it not be better for it to destroy them as supers from the inside?
Lenny: *An ominous glint shines his eyes* You'll see it soon Crushroom~.
*A few days later pass by where Tadashi, Hiro, and Cora are requested to see Granville in her office. Now, they had received a text from her last evening about this, but she had not explained what for which brought curiosity to Tadashi and Cora. For Hiro though...*
Hiro: It's the middle of summer! How could I be in trouble?!
Tadashi: *Raising an eyebrow* What kind of trouble did you do?
Hiro: Uh... nothing... recently... B-But why else would she want to see me?
Cora: I don't think that's the case.
Tadashi: Yeah, if it was for something you did she would have told you back in the semester instead of now. And we wouldn't be having this conversation nerd.
*Hiro childishly stuck out his tongue at his brother before Cora places her hand on his shoulder.*
Cora: Not to mention she asked for Tadashi and me as well! So whatever she wants from the three of us, we'll know soon.
*Tadashi opens the door and the three walk inside, where Granville greets them.*
Granville: *To Tadashi and Hiro* Mr. Hamada, Mr. Hamada. *To Cora* Miss Mizichio, I need your help.
Hiro: So.. I'm not in trouble?
Granville: No... unless there is something you want to confess?
Hiro: *quickly denying it* No no! Nothing to confess here!
Cora: So what's up Professor Granville?
Granville: I'm trying to recruit a respective student. The young man in question is reluctant to commit.
Hiro: W-Why?
Granville: He's an independent spirit.
Hiro: So, a genius?
Granville: Indeed he is. I did convince him to take a tour where you four would show him around SFIT. He was especially interested when he heard about you four.
Cora: He knows about us?
Granville: Sort of, he knows your names are connected to the school and a couple of your projects.
Tadashi: Sure, we would be more than happy to help Professor Granville, when do we meet him?
Granville: Right now. Follow me.
*They all head outside the building to officially meet the potential student, where Tadashi turns to Granville.*
Tadashi: So, could you tell us his name and what he likes?
Granville: Actually, he's here.
*A rather young boy arrives in a self-driving hoverboard before getting off and taking off his helmet.*
Granville: Mr. Hamada and Mr. Hamada, Miss Mizichio. Allow me to introduce you three to Rishi Patel.
Hiro: *blinks* He's a... young.
Granville: Yes. Rishi is Eleven years old.
Cora: He's eleven? That's amazing!
Granville: Indeed.
Tadashi: Good to see new faces at SFIT.
*Cora heads over to Rishi and gives a friendly smile and wave before greeting him.*
Cora: Nice to meet you Rishi! I'm Cora Mizichio and this Hiro Hamada!
*She gestures to Hiro who gives a small smile in return. Though the boy is unimpressed.*
Tadashi: *To Granville* So uh... is there anything we should know about Rishi so that we can get to know him better?
Granville: What I do know is that he was homeschooled like Cora and has an interest in robotics, and is quite a hacker like Cora.
Hiro: What about his family?
Granville: He has no family. His guardians contacted me via email.
Cora: No family? What happened?
Granville: They did not say.
Hiro: OK... guess we'll learn the old-fashioned way.
Granville: In all, I hope you three would be better hosts for Rishi than... your previous guide to SFIT.
*Hiro, Cora, and Tadashi knew who Granville was referring to immediately, and quickly nods in response, something that Rishi's eyebrow raised but that none caught. It so happened to crush that little sense of jealousy that would have festered inside Hiro if not for Granville's comment. That is when Granville receives a text... and her reaction shifted to one of utter shock to which she gasps, catching all but the eleven-year-old's attention.*
Cora: Professor Granville... is something wrong?
Granville: *calms down and clears throat* It appears... that I am needed elsewhere to take care of a family emergency.
*That got their eyes to open wide, but Granville waived it off.*
Granville: It should not take long. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. And here.
*She hands Tadashi her SFIT ID card.*
Granville: You have special permission to go through any building in this school with this ID. And what better hands to protect it than yours Mr. Hamada?
Tadashi: Of course Professor Granville.
Granville: Good luck you all.
*With that, she hurries away from the group to do what she needs to do. With that, Tadashi introduces himself.*
Tadashi: Hello. I'm Ta-
Rishi: Tadashi Hamada. I know.
*Tadashi blinks.*
Tadashi: You do?
Rishi: Yeah. Didn't you hear her? I've heard about you guys. Speaking of which... where's your old-school robot?
Tadashi and Hiro: Baymax?
Rishi: Yeah. *looks around* Is he around?
Cora: No. He's back at Hiro and Tadashi's house for repairs and updates. Sorry to disappoint you.
Rishi: It's alright. What I wanna know is about you three. After all, you guys are kinda famous. So show me your nerd school.
*The three walk through the quad where one or two students attending summer classes are studying over. But they had merely taken a few steps when Rishi turns around.*
Rishi: Seen it. Bored now. Done here.
Hiro: You know... I was like you. I thought I knew everything here.
Rishi: Well you were obviously wrong. *flicks Hiro's forehead.*
Tadashi: *ruffles Rishi's hair* and it seems you even have the attitude my little bro has from time to time.
*Rishi removes Tadashi's hand and sticks out his tongue at him.
Cora: How about we show around the buildings? Like say...
*they later appear at the Marine Hall where all the holograms of Marine Wildlife is active.*
Cora: The Marine Biology hall? It has over a thousand holograms covering from the artic to the tropics. The coral reefs to the deep-sea trenches of the blue!
*Cora demonstrates the variety of marine wildlife to Rishi, who blinks when an Angler Fish hologram opens its mouth to attack, only for him to yawn.*
Rishi: I've seen holograms everywhere.
Cora: Really? From your homeschooling?
Rishi: Yeah.
Cora: Well, I find this place amazing! In fact, everything about SFIT is amazing to me. I've never seen anything like this.
Rishi: Which explains why you are so easily impressed.
*They later take Rishi to the Robotics lab where the now shared lab of Tadashi and Hiro is open for them. Hiro activates Megabot.*
Hiro: SFIT has the most cutting edge tech-
Rishi: *ignoring Hiro* Uh-huh.
*Rishi was looking at Baymax's blueprints, his eyes scrutinizing the schematics.*
Tadashi: see you found the blueprints I made for Baymax. It actually took me 84 tries before I perfected Baymax.
Rishi: Really? Bet I could make something better in one.
Cora: You say that, but everyone makes mistakes.
Rishi: Like you?
Cora: Yeah. Cause making mistakes is what makes us human.
*Rishi held back a chuckle at the comment, clearly not taking it seriously. Cora lets out a deep, frustrated sigh before she walks over to Rishi.*
Cora: So... are there other schools that you're thinking of attending?
Rishi: There's some outside the country like in Bengal or Germany. Though admittedly I still have to update my German. But even then, why bother? Why would I go somewhere to teach me what I already know?
Tadashi: Actually, we have yet to show you the main lab.
*They all take Rishi to the middle of lab where all of their friend's respective spaces of their science majors are neatly tucked away.*
Hiro: SFIT's got everything! Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Robotics, and Marine Biology!
Cora: So which one interests you more?
Rishi: Everything!
*Rishi pulls out his tablet where he hacks a roomba where it bumps to the chemistry set where one drop of the chemical lead to a whole vial dropping it and creating a domino effect of destruction that Rishi is enjoying.. until a thick, metallic pole is soon falling over an unsuspecting Rishi.*
Hiro: Rishi look out!
*Rishi looks up to see the pole only to be pushed away by Hiro who both got out of the way, bouncing on the leftover goo of the chemical reaction before landing on the floor with the scattered tools. Rishi looks up to see Hiro grunting in pain as Cora and Tadashi first check over him then to Rishi. And the eleven-year-old sees that Hiro had gotten rather bruised from the fall.*
Tadashi: Are you hurt?
Rishi: *snapping to focus* huh?
Tadashi: I said, are you hurt Rishi?
Rishi: N-No. I'm fine.
Tadashi: Good. *To Cora* You take Hiro to the nurse's office and get him bandaged. *To Rishi* You and I need to talk. NOW.
*Rishi is soon pushed to a separate hall where it's just him and Tadashi.*
Tadashi: Rishi... just what were you thinking?
Rishi: I was thinking of having a bit of fun-
Tadashi: *snaps* 'A bit of fun' that got someone hurt!
*Rishi blinks in surprise before it turns to fear as he sees the enraged face of Tadashi.*
Tadashi: Rishi, all we wanted was to introduce you to SFIT because we want you to have the fun and enlightening experience we all had when we first came here. I wanted to go here because I wanted to create something that would help people which lead me to create Baymax. And this school is what brought Hiro and Cora out of their shells. You know how I said that you remind me of Hiro? He was cocky, boneheaded, and stubborn but he has the potential and gift to use his big brain for something good. I do think you have that too, but what I'm seeing is that you are far more careless and rude than Hiro ever was when we were growing up. Cora had never been to school like you, and the reason why she loves it here is cause she's now experiencing the world after years of seclusion. Hiro finally gets a challenge to find better ways to help people and Cora gets to experience a whole new world, and you have no right to mock that. We have tried to be nice, we have tried to be patient with you. You have been nothing but rude and dismissive. And now you just hurt someone: My little brother, who is a student here. If you were a student here and pulled that stunt, you would already be suspended for that!
*Rishi looks at him with frightened eyes as a pit of fear grows, along with the feeling of guilt the more Tadashi talked.*
Tadashi: If you don't want to go here, that is fine. I only hope that you don't do something like that ever again at other schools. You're a smart kid... but a rotten brat. Good day, Rishi.
*Tadashi walks over to the nurse's office to see Hiro and Cora while Rishi looks down at the floor with guilt building in his eyes. As of while, Granville had parked her car in front of the apartment when all this occurred, her phone tucked within her purse and so could not see any messages. She arrives to see Inez and Nettie inside, both looking unsure and uneasy as they look up at their cousin.*
Granville: Nettie, Inez, what happened? Are either of you hurt?
Nettie: Gracie... we got a letter.
*Nettie pulls out the letter and opens it, to reveal pieces of paper with cutout letters from magazines. One saying that their peace will be over.. with the second one addressed to Grace. The only other word being 'whore'. Granville is in utter shock as she looks over the letters before looking at her cousins.*
Granville: When did you get this letter?
Inez: I was walking the dogs when I saw that letter peaking out the mailbox so I took it to Nettie and... yeah.
Nettie: Do you think we should run?
Granville: Of course not!
*Unbeknownst to them, an older figure is walking up slowly to the three women.*
Granville: We can contact the police to inform them about the threats, and Big Hero 7 if it's a major villain.
Inez: The superheroes, I believe. The police... eh.
Granville: Even so, we shouldn't cower away because of this letter.
(?): Didn't stop you from running away from home, Grace.
*The three turn their heads to see an older woman around her late 60s, wrinkles, and sunspots prevalent in her hands and her wrinkly face stuck in a permanent scowl and a choleric aura. Her grey and white hair are tucked neatly in a bun as she looks at Granville with immense disapproval.*
Granville: Mother?
*The old woman looked at Granville with a cold glare.*
Martha: Grace.
Nettie: Aunt Martha? W-What are you doing here? How did you even find us?
Martha: Your Twitter, Inez. I found your Twitter and it showed your new location.
Inez: Oh... oops...
Martha: I want to talk to Grace. You and Nettie can go... we have much to talk about.
*The sisters start to walk out, with Nettie whispering to Grace.*
Nettie: Give a yell if you need anything.
*With that, the girls left, leaving Granville and her mother in the same room.*
Martha: I see you've gotten a job where you quit originally.
Granville: They opened the position of Dean after what occurred with Callaghan-
Martha: So they would take in someone that had nearly gotten a boy killed back shortly after that man nearly killed a young man? Wouldn't be surprising.
Granville:*snappish* What do you want, Mother?
Martha: I came to say that those letters, which I overheard, by the way, are something to take caution. Superheroes or those blue pigs, won't always be able to prevent a tragedy.
Granville: Then what do you suggest?
Martha: I'm not suggesting anything since you never listen to me. Not when it came to your classes, not about that boy you coddled and ended up exploding, and definitely not about that baby.
*Granville's eyes hardened at the last word her mother spoke, her first tightening as she controlled the urge to drag her mother out of the apartment. She took a deep breath before directing her mother to the door.*
Granville: I believe it's time for you to go.
Martha: I think so too. Good day Grace.
*With that, the old woman left, to which Nettie and Inez took to return to their cousin, who sat down on a large charge to calm down while her three dogs went to comfort her in their own unique way.*
Inez: Are you OK Gracie?
Granville: I don't know...
*She pulls out her phone to find the latest text from Tadashi and her eyes became one of shock and disappointment as she read the following.*
Tadashi (via text): We gave that tour to Rishi Patel. All he's done is be extremely rude and dismissive, and just now he caused damage to the robotics lab where Hiro had gotten injured. I'm heading to the nurses' office and just sent Rishi home. I know having a young student like Rishi join and get along with Hiro and Cora is a nice touch to SFIT and its reputation. But I don't want him ANYWHERE near my brother and his girlfriend. I'm sorry Professor Granville, but I prefer to NEVER see Rishi again, especially near Hiro and Cora. He can look somewhere else for all I care.
*Granville sighs in disappointment at the message. Looks like Rishi Patel was more than an independent spirit. It was tempting to have a third young genius at school... but what she had learned from Karmi Badgal, she would not endanger her students again. She'll have to notify Rishi's guardians about his behavior and actions, and if they are insistent with a second chance and give a genuine apology to both her and her students, she'll consider it and hopefully, it'll convince her students about its sincerity. But if not, that's only a minor loss to her. She has much to think about with her Mother and the letters... and to stop thinking about that painful memory in her teenage years.*
*That evening at the warehouse, the robotic mascots are tracking something when Lenny's face appeared via video message.*
Lenny: How is it going my pets?
N.B.B 2: We are tracking our 'surprise' and it's heading back right about-
Lenny: Good to see you again Rishi.
*The bots turn around to see Rishi Patel walking up to the screen, his face in deep thought before crossing his arms and looking at Lenny with a confident look.*
Lenny: How was your tour?
Rishi: Boring. Those three you mentioned didn't bring anything exciting. And good thing Baymax wasn't there too, otherwise, he would have known something if he scanned me.
Lenny: Boring?... You did not gather intel on either of those three?
Rishi: Why bother? You could have given me my files about them, so why make me learn about them naturally? And why make me sound interested in SFIT in the first place?
Lenny: Because, my boy, you're job is to further examine their personality and relationship while digging up dirt on this place. Show me the whole interaction... NOW.
*Rishi's arm soon shifted to reveal mechanical parts, showing his true status of being a cyborg where his hand forms to a recorder and plays the whole scene. And the more Lenny watched, the more his eyes cloud with utter disapproval and rage in spite of his cool smile. Once it was over, Lenny addresses the boy.*
Lenny: I see now that I've made some mistakes regarding your programming and that some of the traits we've studied from Hiro and inserted into your personality core have been grossly exaggerated.
Rishi: They are what you said Hiro is like, and the backstory of me being homeschooled and having guardians instead of parents is a mix of both their home life.
Lenny: Rishi, what I've also seen is that rather than gaining their trust and let them show you around buildings, buildings that contain all the files to dig through, you had only driven them away with your arrogance. You're lucky it was the boy that was injured and not the heir. Now... listen closely.
*Suddenly, Rishi felt his chest tighten and his bloodstream slowing down, making him lose breath and starting to choke. And he knew it was from the chip inserted on his back.*
Lenny: I'll craft a message apologizing for your behavior to the Dean, but I expect you to craft an apology from you. If they somehow forgive you for your failure, make sure you are on your best behavior to know about them personally. Fail to do so again and well... you're body is scrap metal.
*Rishi nods quickly to which that vice grip around his chest loosens, allowing air to run freely in his lungs. Rishi internally cursed at Lenny, damning the fact that Lenny holds the ultimate control over his life and 'upgrades'.*
Lenny: Now, set your message at once, and try not to sass them, alright? No more lip #A-13.
*At the cafe that evening, the gang (sans Baymax) are sitting at one of the bigger tables along with Miyuki as they listen to the three's explanation of this afternoon's events. And least to say, they were not pleased.*
Gogo: So this kid just dismisses you three, flat out destroyed the lab, and gotten Hiro injured? What a brat.
Miyuki: Yeah! He doesn't sound like someone that would genuinely respect anyone.
Honey Lemon: It's really sad that he would act this way towards you. Why would he agree to go on a tour if he acts this way?
Wasabi: Eleven years old or not, if he's smart enough to be entering college, he's smart enough to know better than to act like that.
Fred: Yeah. He's like Hiro, except his charm and dorkiness had been subtracted and his cockiness multiplied by like, ten.
Hiro: I'm not a dork!
Fred: Sure you are buddy!
*Hiro pouted before Cora leaned her head on his shoulder to comfort him.*
Cora: I don't know what is it with him, but I do hope he learns from what happened. He's still a kid and he can mature.
Tadashi: I wouldn't be surprised if he matures in a prison cell.
Gogo: Yeesh. Harsh.
*Tadashi sighs in response. Yeah, that was harsh, but that's how he sees Rishi as of now. Unless he crafted a well-meaning apology that's all he'll-*
Cora: I just got a message... from Rishi!
Hiro: I got one too!
*Tadashi checks his own phone to find a video message from Rishi Patel himself. Wondering what it's about, he looks at Hiro and Cora before looking at the rest of his friends.*
Tadashi: Please excuse us.
*The three stand up and go upstairs for privacy where they all play the message, relaying the same thing.*
Rishi: Hello... It's me, Rishi. OK... I thought back on what Tadashi said to me and I want to sincerely apologize for my actions and behavior today. I was a guest and I did ask for a tour from you three, only to act that way. I was reckless, rude, and cocky and I should not have behaved towards you three like that. I also apologize to Hiro Hamada for injuring him during the tour. My guardians had sent out money to pay for the damage to the school. If I receive the OK from my guardians that Professor Granville wants to see me again, I would like you three again. That is if you'll have me. I realized what I've done and I hope that if you agree to give me a second chance that I'll prove it to you. Thank you for listening.
*The message ended and the three look at each other with questions.*
Cora: I... I'm surprised.
Hiro: Me too...
Tadashi: *Frowning* Something isn't right...
Hiro: What do you mean? He sounds sincere and genuinely wants to make up for it.
Cora: Yeah, there was nothing about his apology that sounded false.
Tadashi: Exactly. It sounded too perfect.
Hiro: C'mon Tadashi. I was like him when I was young!
Tadashi: But your stuff never got anyone hurt. And in terms of cockiness, you were a saint compared to him.
Hiro: So he made a mistake. I've made some too and you still encouraged me to do better. I really think we should give him a chance. If he's willing to try again, then I'm not giving up on him.
*Tadashi looks at Hiro with wide eyes when he said that, remembering how he said something similar when Hiro was first designing the microbots for the... the showcase. Tadashi sighs, and then smiles at Hiro. It seems that Hiro is now taking in traits that Tadashi wanted Hiro to have, and while it's good to have faith and give others a second chance, as with Globby and Kage... He also can't shake off the feeling of doubt and distrust after a year with Lenny and Nozako. He hoped that it would go great, for their sake.*
Cora: Alright! So, I'll go message Professor Granville about it, that is she agreed to it.
*It's there that they receive a message from Granville, saying that Rishi's guardians had sent a formal apology and money for the damage earlier, along with asking to give Rishi a second chance... with a small bribe saying that she would make sure neither Hiro and Cora would have morning classes next semester if they succeed. Hiro smirked at the bribe, while Cora merely shook her head but hid a small smile as well. Tadashi looks at the two just chuckled, knowing that Hiro would happily take that offer and Cora would like to receive such benefits. But that bribe was a bonus as he sees it, not something to persuade them, and he couldn't be prouder at them. The next morning came and the three are around the main building, dressed a bit differently than usual. Due to the hot weather, Cora had a white tank top and jean shorts with a different colored set of rainboots, Hiro having a regular t-shirt and gym shorts, while Tadashi had his more lighter jacket with a T-Shirt underneath and jeans. That's when Rishi walks over, his facial expression less assured and more thoughtful as he approached the three.*
Cora: Hi Rishi, you alright?
Rishi: I'm fine... thank you for asking. *To Hiro* You alright, Hamada?
Hiro: Yeah. Just a scrap or two.
Rishi: *To Tadashi* Nice to see you again considering... yesterday.
Tadashi: You're not off the hook, but I'm glad you're taking this chance. I'm keeping my eye on you, Mr. Patel.
*Rishi raises an eyebrow before giving a small smirk, but not one of mischief, but as thanks.*
Rishi: Baymax isn't here again?
Tadashi: Nope. He's currently having his systems rebooted and his skeleton cleaned out. Disappointed?
Rishi: Not really...
*The four start walking around the school, starting with the general education buildings when Rishi spoke up.*
Rishi: *To Tadashi* So, what gave you the idea of Baymax? And why the squishy design?
Hiro: Oh, you are in for a story.
Tadashi: Yeah... You wanna know how I came up with Baymax in the first place?
*Rishi nodded and so Tadashi begins his tale.*
Tadashi: When Hiro and I were younger we would get into all sorts of messes. One time, we built rocket boots for Mochi, our cat, that made him fly around the house. Man was Aunt Cass mad.
*Hiro snickered at the mention of the story, while Cora smiled and Rishi looks at him with curiosity.*
Tadashi: Hiro and I even came up with a hovercar using an old washing machine and old junk.
Rishi: A hovercar? You two?
Tadashi: Yeah. It worked too! For a couple of minutes before it swung out of control and almost got is hit by a truck. Luckily I got Hiro and myself out and Aunt Cass grounded us for a year afterward.
*Cora gaped at the story to which Hiro wraps his arm around her shoulders, reassuring her that it's alright.*
Tadashi: So to relate that to Baymax... It's because we got injured a lot, Hiro much more. I would treat his scrapes and cuts and he would whine about the medicine and bandaids.
Hiro: Well they hurt. *sticks out tongue*
Cora: *giggles* Sounds like you, Hiro.
Tadashi: I had Baymax in mind as a healthcare companion to comfort those in need, to be by yourself to look after your wellbeing.
Hiro: Did you know it took him about 83 tries before he perfected Baymax? One of those tries caused a power outage at school!
Rishi: *Snickers* Really?
Hiro: Oh yeah, and there's even a lot more hilarious stuff in the video tests.
Cora: *To Hiro* You told me how you met Baymax right? That night when you went bot fighting?
Rishi: Botfighting?
Hiro: Another long story. But let's say that when I met Baymax that night along with all the other amazing people, Our friends, I wanted to join this school so badly. It was honestly... the best decision I made in my life.
Rishi: Huh. *To Cora* What about you?
Cora: Well, I was on video call during that night of the unofficial SFIT school, and what I saw there was amazing. And I wanted to go too. Course there was the concern about money but Professor Calla-
*Cora stops her words when she sees Tadashi's expression of hidden pain and Hiro's furrowed brow in the thought of the former Robotics Professor.
Cora: Well, I got some scholarships to help pay for school. It really helped my family and I in a financial run.
Rishi: You couldn't afford to go to SFIT?
Cora: My family and me, we're particularly well-off as you say. Dad and Grandmama saved whatever we have to pay for my homeschooling for the majority of my life.
Rishi: Wouldn't have other schools offered to pay your family to attend? How are you a genius then?
Tadashi: *warning tone* Rishi...
Cora: No no, it's fine. Well, they kinda did but... for personal and medical reasons I couldn't go. I was sick often when I was little and they worried about my health and what would happen to me. As for how I was discovered to be a genius... One of my dad's older jobs gifted him a laptop and an old phone. I was four years old when I came across Dad's laptop and I.. hacked into it.
Rishi: Hacked it? What did you do?
Cora: I sent him a birthday card using the code. It was his birthday.
Rishi: Wow... that's... something.
*They had left the general eductions building and are heading to the quad when Cora speaks.*
Cora: How did they learn about your genius Rishi?
Rishi: Actually... I wouldn't say I had genius since I was born... I learned as much as I could. I wanted to learn more so I did, and now... here I am.
Cora: Really? It probably wasn't easy then huh?
Rishi: No... Not really. To be honest, before my guardians found me, I was just some nobody that people ignore on the streets. But they gave me a chance, and I took it and got my genius you see now.
*Rishi's mind flashed to the memories of his early childhood, then to Lenny finding him and bringing him to the island, the 'classes' he had with Lenny at the request of the madame where he was taught more than just his intellect. He learned the importance of taking a golden opportunity no matter what cost it would be... or who would be hurt to take it. He brushes the memory aside to focus on the girl, his madame's heir.*
Rishi: But hey, I'm here now and I get to do all this cool stuff!
Cora: Yeah. I hope that SFIT will bring you as much joy and challenges as it has for Hiro and I.
*Rishi nodded in response. Soon enough they were heading towards the office building where Granville's office was located. This is his chance. He knew that Tadashi has the key to access any of the doors, so if he could just get the ID, he could sneak into Granville's office and look into her computer for any details... Or. Rishi looks at Tadashi and comes up with a different plan. Rishi first goes to Cora and Hiro and tugs at Hiro's jacket.*
Rishi: So... I'm getting a little hungry... is there anything to eat?
Cora: Actually, there's a food court across campus. Do you mind if we head there for lunch?
Rishi: *Giving a smile* Sure! I don't mind, Cora!
*The three SFIT students blink with wide eyes as they both saw a genuinely happy smile from Rishi, and that he referred to her by name for the first time.*
Cora: OK then!
*They all head to the cafeteria where they all ordered and paid for their food (With Hiro covering for Rishi) before heading towards a booth.*
Rishi: I wanna ask... *To Hiro and Cora* Who lead you guys when you got to SFIT?
Hiro: Our friends. Fred took us on a tour when we finally started classes.
Cora: It was amazing!
Rishi: Cool... So... is it really just you two who are the first geniuses till me?
Cora:... Sort of... there was someone else but... they don't attend here anymore.
Rishi: You mean Karmi Badgal?
*The trio stop eating when they heard that name. Cora swallows harshly on her own saliva while Hiro's eyes clouded with uneasiness and annoyance at the mention of the name. Tadashi's eyes held back the glint of utter anger at the name; he looks at Rishi before he speaks.*
Tadashi: How much do you really know about... Karmi Badgal?
Rishi: Just that she's was an SFIT student before being expelled... and I've heard mentions of that video of her bullying Hiro and Cora.
Tadashi: Did you actually see that video?
Rishi: Not really... I wasn't allowed to. Work and stuff.
*Rishi recalled Lenny mentioning the video, and how the right-hand henchman of Madame Nozako both chuckled in memory while growling at the mention of the girl that harassed 'his young mistress'.
Cora: All I can say is that Hiro and I... gave her chances. We've tried to be patient and kind to her but... she was just so nasty... I almost feel sorry for her. Almost since well, she's gone. And I would rather like never seeing her again.
Rishi: I see...
*Rishi's eyes turn to Tadashi, who is now continuing to eat his lunch... Which gives Rishi the time to pull off his plan. He sees his smoothie across from him and so, he stood up and tries to reach over. Cora looks at this and chuckles slightly.*
Cora: It's alright Rishi, I can get it for you.
*Cora was, in fact, ner the smoothie to give it to Rishi, but he refused.*
Rishi: *straining* No. I almost...Got it- WOAH!
*Rishi's palm had been flat on a napkin to which it slipped, making Rishi fall forward with a small thud, causing everyone's drinks and food spill on all their clothes, especially Tadashi's jacket. Rishi leans back and blushes madly at the mess. Both to convince them it was an accident and that his plan worked too well. He only meant to grab the drink and accidentally spill it solely on Tadashi... not on everyone and himself.*
Rishi: I'm sorry...
Cora: No no, it's ok Rishi!
*Rishi turns his head to see something he did not expect to see. Hiro sees Rishi blink in surprise to which he sees what Rishi is seeing... the glass of water had spilled and soaked onto Cora's white tank top... revealing her chest... Hiro's eyes widen and his whole face blushes at the sight. Rishi sees this and tilts his head when he sees Hiro turn red. Tadashi sees what's happening and quickly removes his jacket to place it onto Cora.*
Tadashi: I'll go get some paper towels, *To Rishi* could you take Cora and Hiro to the restroom?
*Rishi turns his head to see that Hiro had curled into a ball and laid on his side, hiding his red face while Cora keeps blinking and blushing as she holds the jacket close.*
Rishi: Or... I take Cora to the bathroom while you stay with Hiro. I think he malfunctioned.
Tadashi: *Sighs* I guess. Be careful you two.
*Rishi turns to Cora and the two leave the cafeteria while Tadashi looks after Hiro. Inwardly he sighs again. Judging by his very red face, he is no doubt going through the emotions and hormones of a teenage boy. Immediately, Tadashi set to distract Hiro from his whirling thoughts, to calm him down, and to get him cleaned up.*
Tadashi: So... You know how Fred asked about adding something to the suit-
Hiro: *snappish* I'm not giving him the ability to shrink things.
*Tadashi gives a small smirk. Looks like it's working so far. As of while, Rishi and Cora are heading towards the bathroom where Cora sighs and turns to Rishi.*
Cora: Hey Rishi?
Rishi: Yeah?
Cora: I want to let you know, that I thank you for giving SFIT, and my friends a second chance.
Rishi: Really?
Cora: Yeah. If you do decide to join this school, then I can't wait to get to know you better Rishi.
Rishi: Even after what happened yesterday?
Cora: Granted, it could have gone better, but as I said, you made up for it with your apology and your actions. And that's more than enough.
*Rishi feels his cheeks warm before he hugs Cora, to which while it shocked the girl, returned the hug. But they had to let go since Cora had to use the restroom to clean herself up. Rishi remained smiling as he then spoke to himself.*
Rishi: Well, I guess you do learn something new every day.
*He then pulls out the ID Card before stuffing it in his pocket. He had pulled it out of the jacket and placed a convincing replica in its place as to not arouse suspicion. He then brings his phone to text to the group of robotic mascots hiding in wait.*
Rishi: (text message) I got the card. Do your thing, and make the damage extra crispy ;P Just nowhere near the office building lol.
N.B.B 2: It's go time sisters! Hee hee. Hee hee. Hee hee.
*Across town, Granville is with her cousins walking through the city on a day off the sisters insisted Granville should have to recover from yesterday. The three women walk towards the lucky cat cafe for a coffee break where they are greeted by Cass, who is currently running the register.*
Cass: Hello Professor Granville, how are you and your cousins today? Could I get you anything?
Granville: Just coffee with cream and sugar, please.
Inez: And the minty berry boba!
Cass: Alright! Go on ahead and find a seat.
*The three of course do to which a familiar pair enter the cafe.*
Cass: Oh! Hi Eduardo! Hi Megan.
Eduardo: Buenas Tardes, Senora Cass.
Megan: Nice to see you, Aunt Cass!
Cass: Nice to see you too, Megan. Feel free to sit down anywhere you like.
*The two so happen to sit next to the visiting cousins where Megan pulls out her phone writing something.*
Eduardo: Adding something new to your blog?
Megan: Just some grammar editing.
Eduardo: I'm really glad you found a new passion for your news writing in your Supers 'N News Blog.
*Megan smiled back at her grandfather before she put away her phone, but Inez had overheard their conversation. Inez got off her seat and walked over to Megan, who turns to acknowledge the girl.*
Inez: Hi! I'm Inez.
Megan: Hi.
Inez: I didn't mean to overhear but... are you the author of Supers 'N News? I've been following your blog for a while and it's amazing!
Megan: Oh. Thanks!
Inez: I really like how you wrote about Big Hero 7 especially, the way you write about them makes them more human than what other stories I've heard of them on the news.
Megan: That so? Glad to hear it. I don't think I've seen you around, though... Inez, right?
Inez: Oh yeah! I kinda moved here with my sister to live with our cousin. How about you, Megan?
*The girls then get involved in their own conversations, much to the surprise and joy of Nettie and Eduardo. Eduardo turns his head to the two women and chuckled.*
Eduardo: Looks like they're getting along well.
Nettie: Yeah. Oh! Um... sorry for Inez intruding like that-
Eduardo: No, no. It's fine. It's nice to see my granddaughter and your girl getting along so well.
*Granville let out a small smile at the comment, looking at Inez and Megan talk so freely and naturally. Hopefully, the others would help Rishi in their own way. That is when the news came on with Bluff Dunder.*
Dunder: This is just in, the rouge robotic mascots had just started their attack on the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.
*That got Granville to stand on her feet, fear rising up to her throat, and recall that her students and Rishi are at the school. She hoped that they had gotten Rishi to safety before suiting up to fight back. It just so happened that Cora, Hiro, Rishi, and Tadashi were outside the building when the robotic mascots started their attack.*
Tadashi: We have to get Rishi out of here! *To Hiro and Cora and whispers* Are they coming soon? And your suits?
Hiro: *whispers back* They're on their way... with a surprise.
*Tadashi blinks before Cora turns to Rishi.*
Cora: I'll lead you to the office building, that's where an emergency exit is closest to the city.
Rishi: OK Cora.
Cora: *to Hiro and Tadashi* Be safe you guys.
Hiro; *kisses Cora's cheek* You too Cora. Now run!
*Cora grabs Rishi's hand and they book it to the office building while Hiro and Tadashi run to the nearest empty space to wait for the gang to arrive. Cora and Rishi are at the building office where she guides Rishi inside and near the exit.*
Cora; I can trust that you know a way out right?
Rishi: Right.
Cora: Good. Big Hero 7 will arrive soon, but please get out as fast as you can!
*Then she hugs Rishi before running out of the building. Rishi sighs before he heads towards the office of Professor Granville and plops himself onto the seat and opening her school computer.*
Rishi: Now lets see what juicy secrets are in here.
*He hacks to her files and starts speed reading to find any juicy details, and immediately he found the ones concerning Karmi Badgal and her actions and behavior. Apparently, she had been rather aggressive to more than just the two younger geniuses as some of her classmates had complained about her behavior. Though not to the teen couple's extent since the classmates are adults while she and the two are minors.*
Rishi: Guess Karmi Badgal was more of a bitch than I thought.
*He scrolls through the files to find some regarding Kage Mizichio and his files, nothing too worthy save for the cover-up and erasing his existence as being the actual first youngest genius as SFIT, getting there at the age of 14. That is when he stumbled on one folder locked with the name titled Private. Rishi smirked as he hacked it with ease. And it's there that he found the motherload of juicy secrets.*
Rishi: Looks like Granville did more than just coddle the spare and the bully.
*He pulls out a flash drive and starts to copy the files and folders necessary for their plan.*
Rishi: Game over Granville.
*The rest of the team sans are arriving at SFIT and meet up where Hiro, Tadashi, and just now Cora.*
Fred: Isn't this the fourth time SFIT has been attacked? That is if you don't count the fire.
Tadashi: A popular target I noticed.
Cora: I see the skymaxes!
*It's there that the three arrive carrying the suits.*
Tadashi: Wait... there's three. Who's the third one? Baymax is still in recovery.
Hiro: Open it up.
*Tadashi opens it up to reveal what is inside the bot, and immediately his eyes widen. He looks at Hiro who smirks in his direction as to say that he really did.*
Tadashi: You know that I would have to get Commander Carter's approval right?
Hiro: He's tough but fair. And if he sees you in action, I think you'll get the license sooner than later.
Tadashi: Alright, but don't go changing the name. I like the name Big Hero 7.
Fred: Knew it!
*The robotic mascots are trashing the quad before they hear a familiar voice.*
Hiro: You got some nerve showing up here Noodle Burger Boy!
*The mascots turn their heads to see the team standing behind them.*
N.B.B 2: Howdy and Hello Big Hero 7! Nice seeing you all again.
Hangry: Where's Omega Danger? Did he get his circuits twisted?
Cora: He's still out for repairs, but luckily, we got a new member.
*That is when a fireball is blasted behind the mascots to which they turn to see a man in white armor with red and orange lines in a black suit, his helmet a fusion of Hiro's helmet and of Cora's.*
Hiro: And here he is. Sun-Fire.
Piper: A new player? Oh, how exciting!
Crushroom: Noodle Brother, how will we fight Sun-Fire?
N.B.B 2: We just do what we always do. Serve up and deliver!
*The robotic mascots launch themselves forward to attack Big Hero 7 to which they begin their stances. Fred jumps over to avoid Hangry's mouth as she munches on a bush, turning the twigs and leaves to dust. Piper floats to catch up with Gogo as Honey Lemon tries to shoot the hippo bot from a distance, but Crushroom is about ready to knock out Honey Lemon when Wasabi kicked her away as Hiro sends out his electromagnetic disk combined with Cora's lightning orbs to trap and zap Crushroom. Tadashi goes after Noodle Burger Boy as he shoots one fireball after another, his face determined to flat out destroy this bot. Just then, Noodle Burger Boy receives a message from inside his head, telling him the mission is done.*
N.B.B 2: Well, sorry Big Hero Misters and missus, but we got to go!
*The robotic mascots get in formation to run off when Tadashi grabs a metallic shard, heats it up to the point of radiating heat before throwing it at Crushroom's back, piercing it and knocking her forward.*
N.B.B 2, Piper, Hangry: Crushroom!
N.B.B 2: You'll pay for that Big Hero Misters!
Tadashi:*eyes hard and voice cold* You can't make us pay if you're all dead.
*That got the team blinking in surprise at Tadashi's words, unsure what to make of it. N.B.B couldn't find a way to express just how scared he is for himself and his sisters, and he felt it with Lenny due to experience. This man he just man just declared that he will kill them. Nonetheless, Noodle Burger Boy held his bravado.*
N.B.B 2: We will see about that Mister Sun-Fire!
*The robotic mascots are away with a damaged Crushroom being carried. Tadashi turns to the team where he speaks.*
Tadashi: And how was that?
Fred: You're really pulling the dangerous hero persona, Tadashi. The way you spoke to them just sent me chills!
Wasabi: Well, we should be glad there isn't too much damage to the school. By the way, how was Rishi?
Cora: Rishi's fine. Before the attack, we managed to talk to him about our experiences at school and he seemed to be enjoying himself.
Gogo: Think he'll actually join?
Hiro: Here's hoping. Cause you know what? I kinda like Rishi.
*Unbeknownst to them, Rishi was watching them from the side, hidden from their view to watch over the team and the fight. He had to admit, they were very skilled at their teamwork, and the traitor Tadashi definitely knew how to use his new skills proficiently from his training. He supposed if he was a normal boy or at least a normal genius with a family, he would have admired them and gladly accept the invitation to SFIT. But he was not a normal boy and he had much more with Nozako Mizichio than this miserable ever would. And with his new discoveries, he knew that SFIT's reputation will be tarnished once Lenny makes use of this new information.*
Cora: I'm going to text Professor Granville about Rishi.
Hiro: OK babe. Do you want to hang out at the cafe later tonight? Megan's joining us too
Cora: That sounds great!
*Cora then turns her attention to her phone where she quickly explains what occured before the attack, adding how much Rishi's behavior changed and that he's a thoughtful and curious boy who can be rather cocky, but just needed a right nudge to continue. From the other side, Granville sighs as she places a hand over her heart, almost ignoring Inez speaking.*
Inez: Would it be alright Gracie?
Granville: Snapping out of her thoughts, excuse me what?
Inez: Is it alright if I join Megan for tonight to hang out at the cafe?
Granville: Did you ask Nettie as well?
Inez: She says it's alright.
Grace: Then you may.
Inez: Awesome! *To Megan* See ya tonight!
*Both girls smiled and waved goodbye as Eduardo and Megan leave the cafe for other business. Granville smiles to herself as she reflected on her work, her relationships, and her life as a whole. She supposed all the heartache, struggles, and pain she endured throughout her career and life had only taught her to be tough and fair, to not always assume what is possible or not and that the ones whole love you will always stand by you. She's now is the dean of SFIT, a mentor to Hiro and Cora, and rekindled her relationship with Kage after years of guilt where now her former student is now engaged and a father to be with the love of his life. There was nothing she would change it... well, all but one. She only hoped that he was alright, wherever he was. At the warehouse, Rishi is at work repairing Crushroom as he places the flash drive to the port to send over the files and emails, and texts concerning Granville and SFIT. Lenny checks over the files and his smile grew wider in sick satisfaction the more he learned about the files; and what they had learned about Cora, Hiro, and Tadashi as people showed more than what they thought, giving Lenny ideas to share with his Madame.*
Lenny: We've gotten our first piece set up My Madame. Shall I prepare for its publication?
Nozako: Yes. And give my thanks to Rishi Patel. Tell him he's now moved forward as Class-10 where he'll be granted access to the libraries at the temple along with other privileges.
Lenny: Of course. *To Rishi* You've done well Rishi, you're service shall be rewarded.
Rishi: More than happy to do so Lenny.
*That evening, everything was at peace. Granville was at home with Nettie checking over papers; Mizuchi, Kaguya, and the engaged couple are eating dinner, and the whole gang are together at the cafe hanging out as they talked about their day (sans the superhero work in front of Inez) along with their day with Rishi.*
Inez: That was quite a story, especially with how Rishi appeared at first.
Megan: Yeah, I thought we would get a Karmi 2.0 but he's a good egg after all,
Honey Lemon: I'm happy that Rishi showed his good side, you guys.
Gogo: Guess the kid can learn.
Hiro: Yeah. Like Cora said, in the end, he is a good kid.
Cora: I'm sure we can get to know him better over time. Maybe not to friends, but we'll help him out whatever way we can.
*Tadashi smiled at the two before eating his biscuit. With Granville, she was checking over the mail when she spotted a black envelope. Curious and suspicious, Granville opened it with gloves and a letter opener to reveal a piece of paper with the cut-out magazine words, all in red spelling out the following.*
YOU. WERE. WARNED.
*Her blood runs cold and dread builds up in her stomach before the tv news comes on, broadcasting everywhere ready to destroy her life.*
Dunder: Hello, I am Bluff Dunder. In an unexpected turn of events, we had received some rather interesting... news from an anonymous source revealing that SFIT's reputation and of the Dean has been far from ideal. As it turns out, Granville had been engaged in rather inappropriate relations with her students such as with young Hiro Hamda and Cora Mizichio. But it doesn't stop there, as she had a more personal relationship with a boy around 20 years ago where she covered up the incident where an explosion occurred at one of their labs. And the events occurring with a former SFIT student, Karmi Badgal, had revealed that the girl had endangered the lives of her fellow classmates upon this clip from the viral video.
*There it was. On the tv was a series of photos and files of Professor Granville's life and files related to the school and its students. It showed her files, her work, and some of her more personal photos. Some were of herself and Kage as expected, bits with Hiro and Cora. Everyone could only stare in shock at the news, feeling as if a fresh wound had opened and about to receive rubbing alcohol to increase the pain. but the most shocking picture of it all came as Bluff Dunder revealed a picture of a 15-year-old Granville, smiling tiredly as she lays on the hospital bed... holding a newborn baby boy in her arms. Underneath were the following words: Thomas James Granville.*
Dunder: And it would appear that Grace Granville had conceived a child in her teenage years to which she then gave up. There is more on here but as of now, we'll be taking a break after these messages.
*Everyone had been stunned silent, no one daring to breathe or utter a word. Cora's phone buzzed to reveal a photo of Rishi with the files on his computer, sitting on a bench at a park nearby, with a caption revealing how it happened.*
Guess I'm not going to SFIT after all since your dean is a clingy whore ;P
* Everyone at the table saw it, and they all knew what had happened.*
Hiro: *softly to himself* That dick..
Tadashi: Fucking knew it...
Inez: That Mother fu-
*There was a tap on the window, where Rishi is standing outside with a shit-eating grin, to which Cora runs out along with the team and Tadashi, leaving Inez and Megan to stare in shock as Cora drags him by the sleeve of his shirt before pinning him to the wall of an empty ally way.*
Cora: What the fuck Rishi?! How could you do this?!
Hiro; How the hell did you even get those files?!
Rishi: *Pulls out the ID* With this, duh.
*Tadashi's eyes widen to which he checks his pockets to find a card nearly identical to the first one with the exception of the barcode being of a different set.*
Rishi: The old switcheroo. For being geniuses you sure are idiots.
Hiro: But why?! Did you come to SFIT to flat-out destroy everything?! First the lab and now Granville's life?! WHY? We trusted you!
Rishi: I admit, you guys are fun to talk to, but I have much more interesting options out there than dumb old SFIT, and especially in regards to you guys.
*Cora's anger-filled eyes and expression turns to hurt and disappointment as she frees Rishi, standing next to Hiro as she speaks.*
Cora: Sorry that we can't give you anything more than that.
Rishi: *scoffs* Well it's not my fault that other people like your Grandmother Nozako can.
*That got everyone stunned for the second time that evening, showing far more that this was more than intentional. And even then, it only showed Rishi's true colors and alliance as Fred finally uttered his thoughts.*
Fred: WOW. Over the line, dude. WAY over the line!
*Rishi walks over to the side where a rather fancy-looking car arrives, to which he turns to Hiro and Cora.*
Rishi: You really ought to give up and let the heir move to the island. Cause if you don't, well... SFIT and Granville won't be the only ones hurting.
*Granville had been panicking since the news, feeling as though someone had stabbed her and left her exposed to the whole world... and judging from the texts from her board members of the school and education system... they are far from pleased. But what got her heart racing was the sudden thrust of her past with the picture of her baby boy that was taken from her years ago. Granville knew that damage had only just begun.. and that she will not leave unscathed.*
Rishi: And all that hurt... will be because of you all... especially you, Cora. You're the heir. Act like one and leave them behind... cause they're not gonna last long. Bye~
*Rishi gets in the car and is driven off, smiling contently to himself as the rearview mirror shows their horrified expressions with the exception being that Tadashi is livid, making Rishi duck under his seat to avoid his wrathful gaze. The driver turns his head to reveal that it was Lenny, who smiles at the boy.*
Lenny: Well, looks like you completed the first part of the piece. I'm proud of you Rishi Patel.
*He pats the boy's head to which Rishi froze in response, never having received such affection from his benefactor. With the team on the alleyway, where Cora feels her heart stop and Hiro wrapping his arm around her to comfort her, it's there that Fred finally puts to words into what all that happened with the boy and what his message means to them all.*
Fred: It's official... *chuckles nervously* We're in danger.
A.N: I'm back! So yeah, this chapter took some time to write up! I hope to get the other chapters ready before school but I will strive for my best! Now, this is quite the chapter huh? It took a while to craft the idea on how to write this with Noodle Burger Ploy and the MiSFIT combined, and with how things turned out, it's going to be a rollercoaster cause uh... there's going to be more coming. There will be a season 4 once I finish up writing the next two chapters, both episodes combined into one chapter. The parts with Granville's past shall be explained in the following chapters, so this won't be ignored!
