Third Person View
Buildings crumbling and walls crashing down, the surprise invasion was destroying the Candy kingdom. With the absence of their leader, Flame princess is acting as their leader. She rallies the forces of the kingdom Princess bubblegum left and so was her own. "Don't let them past the inner wall, the citizens aren't secured yet!" she commanded. "Look out FP!" Finn said as he pushed her away from an incoming boulder. Finn swings his gauntlet at the rock shattering it to pieces, some of the enemy soldiers were stunned after seeing this, "Big mistake." Finn said as he charged towards the rock soldiers, he left cracks on their bodies enough to incapacitate them. At a distance was the Rock king.
"Showing mercy to your enemies will kill you Finn." He said. Finn heard him and when he turns to look the king pushed a button which caused the rock soldiers he injured to blow up, the explosions took out many flame soldiers in the process. "What the fuck was that!?" Marceline asked. "They're using the wounded as bombs." One of the flame officers said as he picked himself up. Marceline knew what this will do to Finn, she tried to look for him and there she saw him pushing the soldiers towards the Rock king. She covered her back as he pushed up but, before they could get any further, a clicking sound came on. "Marceline, get away from here!"
The healthy soldiers were sacrificed to try and blow the two vampires up, Finn stood still seeing the dead soldiers who died in the hands of their leader. "Bring them closer to death you don't need to hold back anyway." The voice inside his head, the shadow that he has been using is finally creeping out of its shell trying to consume him. Finn closed his eyes, once reopened they were pitch black. "Finn, listen you-" Marceline's attempt to calm him down was in vain as Finn pushed forward again, this time he severely injures every enemy he fought. Flames ignited on his sword which gave it more power. Marceline chased him down and Flame Princess joined the run shortly.
The two tried to talk Finn down but he continued his rampage, Finn wasn't even targeting the King anymore he just killed any slime or Rock soldier he sees. "Yesss, let them suffer!" "He's heading for an open space." Marceline points out. Once Finn went there a pillar of flames surrounded him. He staggers as the heat intensifies, Phoebe gave Marceline an opening and she knocked Finn down. "Take him away for a while I'll hold back the invasion force." Phoebe said as she flies back to battle. Marceline rushes Finn to the castle and to Bonnibel's room she lays Finn down, even after his outburst his face was peacefully sleeping. "Finn wake up, we need to talk right now."
Finn wakes up and it was almost sunset, he rushed towards the balcony and saw that the invasion was being pushed back. He sighed but he was suddenly locked from behind and he hears her voice. "Is this the Finn I know?" Finn slowly nods and Marceline lets him go. "What happened? I blacked out and-" his lips were stopped by Marceline and when the two broke she said, "Don't do that ever again, you almost killed three dozen soldiers!" "I didn't know, I heard a voice and then..." he saw that Marceline was crying while covering her mouth, he stopped talking and embraced her. "I-I will, but as I need your help." Marceline nodded which made Finn calm again.
Phoebe's POV
Having two kingdoms under my helm is taking a toll, and the incident with my possession was not bidding well for the candy soldiers. "The enemy is retreating, come back to avoid any traps. The night is coming." My brother commanded them, he came to help after Marceline took Finn back. When the whole army was assembled there was unrest as the candy soldiers question my leadership. "Why are you assuming control? You attacked us just recently!" I was about to voice out but a high pitched sound silenced everyone. It was Peppermint butler holding a mic, he stood in the middle of the crowd which gained him attention. "From now on the candy kingdom is under Flame Princess's rule."
As expected the soldiers were commenting left and right, I walked over to Peppermint butler who just covered the mic with flame shield. "Here you go Princess." "Thanks Pep. Listen, I know that this doesn't look good for you but I assure you, all will stay the same." "How can we be sure that you won't take over completely?" One of the Candy officers voiced out. "Don't question her, PB personally chose her to lead you all." A familiar voice which eased my unrest, Finn walked out of the palace along with Marceline. "We need to put this hostility aside and honor the dearest person we lost today." Finn placed Bonnie's picture at a pedestal and lit up a candle.
Marceline went next and placed a rose on the pedestal. "I'm sorry Bonnie, I never thought we will lose you." She wiped the tears from her eyes and as she went past me it was my turn. I placed a rare flower from the kingdom and I said, "We had our fights, but in the end you entrusted me your people. I'll protect them till the end, I won't disappoint you. After that the people began giving their final gifts for Bonnie, the pain in our hearts were apparent, all of us were weeping. A small candy child went up to me with a flame shield on. "Are you really going to take care of us?" She asked with sadness.
I gave her a smile and I answered, "Yes, I gave Princess Bonnie a promise not to let anyone of you get hurt." She went and hugged me which surprised her Parents. "Thank you princess, I will protect you too." I brushed her hair and gave her a kiss on her head. She rushed back to her parents and shortly after that Finn and Marceline came to me. "Stealing the hearts of the young I see." Marceline teases. "That was one of PB's best students, it's good that she took a liking to you FP." "Yeah... What about you, are you hurt or anything?" I asked Finn. "Just a slight abdominal pain, I'll live." Finn was humoring us as always.
Finn seemed back to normal but I'm still worried about his condition earlier in battle. "Finn, it's good to see you back to normal but I need to ask you to tell me everything that happened." I told him with all seriousness which he quickly noticed, "Can we go somewhere private?" he asked. "Sure but..." I looked at Marceline who said, "it's fine just call me if something happens." She flew up to the balcony and Finn pulled me to the steps in front of the palace. "I lost myself." Finn opens up. "How?" I asked worriedly. Finn told every detail as to what happened and he said at the end, "Don't worry FP, I will fight against it this time."
Finn POV
It's almost sunrise as additional fire kingdom soldiers arrived, this time the two armies greeted each other like brothers which eased FP's worries. "The wildberry kingdom and lumpy space army have arrived also Princess." Colonel candy corn gave the report. "Great, they have extra supplies, this will make things a little manageable." FP said. As the sun rose the horizon revealed the enemy poised to attack, our own army are also ready, this time our allies brought artillery and vehicles with mounted guns. "Aren't those lethal?" I asked. "Finn this is war death is inevitable, we will carry that burden, you just need to aid us and hope this ends fast." FP's brother answered, and I gave him a nod.
The battle began with a sound of sirens, the army advanced to clash with the enemy. I left my sword to avoid killing anyone, I charged in with my gauntlet and began fighting the rock soldiers again. "Finn the king!" Marceline shouted. I stopped at my tracks as the two of us glared at each other. "You think what you're doing is good, you're killing your own people!" "Shut up, you forced my hand and I'll make sure to expose your true nature once again!" he pulled out the trigger and shouted, "Surround him!" The soldiers were reluctant but still they followed. "Get that trigger!" I yelled as I dodged the soldiers who tried to come close but I fell.
"Yes!" The king exclaimed. I tried to pull away but the rock soldiers were heavy. I glared at the king again, he wore a mocking expression as he began to push the button. Time felt slow at that moment, I was focused on the trigger and now the rock people with me will die. I gritted my teeth as I prepared for the blast, but instead I heard a shriek of pain from the King. His hand was impaled by an enchanted arrow and it also destroyed the trigger. With it out of the way I began picking off the rock soldiers that are restraining me, it was a harrowing task, by the time I was finished I was tired.
"Stand up Finn, you need to see this." I looked up and I saw huntress, she helped me up and we levitated way up. What I saw was dreadful, there were heavy vehicles and an even greater army which covered the land for miles and miles away. "All of the neutral kingdoms joined the enemy, Betty managed to convince wizard city to join you and your allies." I took a deep breath and I rushed back to the headquarters where FP and her brother are discussing what to do next. "FP the kingdoms they..." "I know Finn, Miss Betty gave us the news earlier." I went to Betty who was looking over the battle field. "Thanks for helping us Betty."
She turned to me and held my gauntlet and pressed something, I felt a surge of energy throughout my body and suddenly the whole place is in a dark dome. "Finn you need to go, talk to death, save Ooo." "What are you talking about?" She opened a monitor and I saw myself standing on top of corpses and behind me the six beings that appeared when PB died. "They will destroy Ooo by using you as their pawn." I was shocked, but I have to act fast, the dark dome dissipated and I took the chance to tell FP the danger. "Finn you can't leave we need you." "Yes I know but if I stay the visions might come true."
Death POV
Finn and Flame Princess were having arguing but in the end she couldn't stop him, he went on his way and took Marceline with him. I saw everything through my monitor, Finn convinces his partner to come and as I hear a portal opening I closed the monitors. "Death, we need to talk." "What is it, I'm busy." I turned to see the two, Finn was holding her hands tightly which gained my curiosity. "A human boy huh, Marceline?" "That's none of your business, give Bonnie back." I slammed my hands on my desk and I asked, "Who are you to demand me a soul, a rare one in fact." Finn pulled my collar which earned him a hard punch.
"You're in my territory, what do you really want, That princess?" I pointed at the garden where I placed Bonnibel's body. The two nodded at each other they ran past me and tried to grab her but they're in for a surprise. Both of them were pushed back by a barrier. "She is a rare piece, just like you Finn, well before you turned into a vampire." "Don't treat her like an object, Finn said as he swung his sword at me. I caught it with my hand and I told the two of them. "She is dead, that lifeless body is a token I earned for hunting her for centuries." I showed them her soul stone which was dark.
"Is that?" "Yes, it's her soul, you see the perfect princess you all know and adore had a very dark record. She is beyond salvation and the only place she belongs is here, in the dead world." Finn puts down his sword which made me relieved, my exterior was badly damaged with his attack earlier so I'm not in the condition to fight. "What about a music battle?" Marceline asked. "You never back down in a music battle right?" "Still my answer is no, be good and go back to where you came from." I walked away slowly and I prepared myself as I feel rage brewing behind me. "If that's your answer I'll have to destroy you for the soul."
"Don't even tr-" before I could finish my sentence, I felt solid metal met with my face. I was tossed back by the force and it cracked my exterior. "You insolent vampire!" I summoned my spear and the two of us charged at each other, the ground shook and our weapons are locked on to each other. I felt Marceline's presence behind me so I kicked Finn away to counter her attack. Half of my exterior fell to the ground after being subjected to such strong forces which puts me at a disadvantage, I need to get out of this. I drove my spear to the ground and it began shaking. "You lose." We all fell down to the darkness.
I watched from afar as the two tried to find each other, I created this negative space in case I've been discovered but not a single moment in my entire existence did I imagine that I would waste it to these two clueless vampires. "Death show yourself, you coward!" "Still taunting me huh? I'll show you what true darkness is!" I illuminated a portion of the space so he could see Marceline and before the two of them get close I grabbed her towards the darkness. "NOOO!" he yelled, I snuck up on him but as I tried to wrap my hands around him he swung backwards destroying the rest of my exterior. "You fool." I said as I fell down.
Third Person View
Death fell on the floor and the negative space was no more. Finn rushed towards Marceline who was knocked out, he tries to wake her up and fortunately she wasn't harmed. The two looked at their enemy and saw a hollow shell that is death and above it is a white orb, it slowly morphed and formed into a shape of a human. When the light faded it revealed a girl with long white hair, she wore a black and gold blouse and blue skirt. Finn and Marceline walked slowly but the girl shouted and covered the whole dimension with a white dome, once the two adjusted their eyes she began talking. "You win, but she still can't go back."
"Why is that, And what's with this white dome?" The being of light calms herself and sat down on a chair that materialized out of nowhere. "First, the princess accepted her fate. I can't meddle with that, next is that I'm not death and I'm just assuming his role." Marceline drove her axe to the ground close to their target, "You little... Give our friend back." "Geez alright, and my name is Maxwell by the way so call me that." She began walking towards Princess bubblegum, while she prepares her Finn asked, "Isn't that a man's name?" "I know, but look she's clearly a woman." Maxwell sighed as she placed back the soul stone and brought the Princess back to life.
Finn and Marceline rushed when they saw their friend stood up and she told them, "You guys, so stubborn. You didn't have to." "No PB we're friends, we help each other." Finn replied. "Thank you, you two but I'm sorry. I can't go back, I will stay here forever." "I told you, she can't leave. You can go back now." Maxwell sat back on her chair waiting for a portal to open but instead she saw the two right in front of her again. "What is it this time!?" "We were also sent by Betty, she said that you gave her a vision." Finn said. "Yeah it's true, but that was superficial, I didn't let her see the bigger picture."
"What should I do, I can't let them destroy Ooo." Maxwell turned her back and said, "That's for you to find out, I don't have the answer." Finn's irritation grew, he clenches his fist and said, "If you're that powerless, then take me to Glob, he will help me!" "Can't your ideas get any worse?" "It's better than wasting my time here exchanging words with a useless person!" Maxwell had enough she stood up and aimed her spear to Finn's skull. "Listen to me, you maybe immortal but there are powers beyond that, I can show you some." "Then why don't we have at it?" Maxwell raised her spear but as she brings it down Bubblegum shielded Finn from her.
"Wait, I'm sorry. Finn is stubborn, but he has a kind heart so please if you can't help him just let him see glob." Maxwell stopped to think for a moment, she withdrew her spear and said, "Alright but you're staying here. You two come with me." The three embraced each other and bid farewell to their friend, Maxwell held the two vampires by their shoulder and transported them to the entrance to Glob's place. "There you go, I'm done here." She said. Finn grabbed her and he said, "No you're coming with us." She tried to resist but it was in vain, the three entered the room and the two was surprised to what they saw. "Glob is a Woman!?"
Release, I haven't shown up lately and I left you all hanging so I'm sorry for that. I can't promise another release soon but I will continue this, I won't delve into details but I had two reasons for not being able to release a new chapter, Schedule constraints and health problems.

The Book of Eli: PB may be present again but she won't be going back to Ooo, not in a million years and with FP, she'll be busy with the enemy for a while so that leaves us with Finn and Marceline alone. He23t: Yes it was so hard for me to finish the last chapter, I tried to find another way but the story can only advance with her death. The Glorious Lich King: Thanks for the compliment and I hope this new chapter delivers. F h(I assume you are one so I'll reply to your latest review): Bonnie's death brings out emotions and it may seem invalidated in this chapter but with her being trapped in the dead world she pretty much remains dead.
