Flame Princess POV

[Flashback]

"You want to see the world?" "Yes, I've been imprisoned for almost all my life Finn, I want to experience new things out there." Finn held my hand and he said, "That's great! What places will you visit?" I avoided his face while I reluctantly reveal to him my destinations. "Wait those places are outside of Ooo." He said. "Yeah, it's cool here and all, but don't you think it's time to meet our neighbors?" I answered. Finn looked at the sunset, thinking, after minutes of silence he looked back at me and he said, "I'll go with you to the ends of the earth." I gave him an embrace and I whispered to him, "Finn, I love you.

[Flashback ends]

"PRINCESS!" I was startled, I looked at my brother who is glaring at me. "Alright let's continue." I sighed, I was wandering with my mind again. Ever since I got my body back all I could think was the past, but regrettably we can never go back. Ooo is in a state of chaos, and Finn is gone again. "Princess, the wizards are covering the north wall, you can focus on the other walls together with the allied kingdoms." Betty suggested. "Thank you, we will win this." "And once we fend off the invasion we will bring the battle to them." My brother added. The meeting adjourned and the generals went back to the battlefield. "Sister we need to talk."

My brother and I stood at a balcony overlooking the army. "You need to focus, this is war we're in and you are in charge of two kingdoms now. Which is by the way is ill advised." "I know, but I can't leave them, and I'll focus from now on I just need to get Finn off of my head for a while." I see my brother irritated when I said Finn's name, his flames grew and he snapped. "WHERE IS THAT MAN ANYWAY!? WE ARE FIGHTING TO DEFEND HIM AND HE'S GONE IN A HEARTBEAT!" "Shut up!" I slapped him and he calmed down. "Finn is facing a bigger threat, if he didn't face the problem everybody dies regardless."

"I don't know where you got that idea but I hope it won't deter us." My brother said as he stormed off. I held my head since the stress is getting to me but my small rest time was shaken by a strong explosion. I rushed towards the field and I saw rockets flying towards us, I had no time to dodge one that was on my way so I focused my flames on it and it exploded in mid-air. It knocked me back and I saw some hit the soldiers, some destroyed by wizards rushing in to help. "Get the wounded away from here!" I shouted. I helped the medical team and after that I went back to fight.

I pushed through the enemy troops. They didn't anticipate my army and I being here which made most of their equipment ineffective, like Finn I tried my best to incapacitate the soldiers instead of killing them and by the time I got to the middle the rock king came and almost hit me with his ground punch. "Your people will pay for what you did to my hand!" I charged at him and he tried to use the ground to catch me, I landed a strong punch in his face which gave it a crack. He staggered back and said, "I will make sure your people will die dishonored!" "What makes you think that I'll let that happen?" I said.

Princess Bubblegum POV

The dead world has no shortage in ancient technology, most of the machines swept up here during the mushroom war can still be worked on so like when I was alive I began tinkering with them. While doing so I began remembering my kingdom, the little projects I had, the people and Finn. By the time I noticed the tears already escaped my eyes, I stopped for a second and cleared my face of it. "I'm ready to die, but not this, I didn't know the afterlife could be this sad." I took a deep breath and I refocused myself on the machine. It was a three dimensional printer with an interface to make designs, one of man's last inventions.

"Setting up shop I see." I turned and it was Maxwell, she was back but Finn and Marceline isn't with her. "Where are my friends?" "They're having a nice chat, time is slower there so I'll be here for a while." I continued working on the printer while she bombarded me with questions. "Death was really pissed with you, you know?" I gave her a smirk and I said, "I'm a clever woman after all." "I know, I have been observing earth for a while now, but problems got to me and I was forced to hide behind death's image." "What problem is that?" I asked as I finish with the machine. I turned and she answered my question.

"That is for Finn to solve, it's not only my problem it's the whole universes. Many had fallen and I don't want mine to follow them." I sat on a chair and I asked. "What exactly is Finn's part in this whole, universe thing?" "Do you believe in parallel worlds?" She asked me. "As a scientist, yes, I do." "That's great! But the bad news is there aren't much parallel worlds left." I always believed that it's true but what does she mean by that? "Many of the past worlds are destroyed and the only surviving ones have one thing in common." I was anxious to know, "What is it?" "Finn, he is the universe's deterrent for evil of all forms."

"All forms?" "Yes but regardless they all came from one source that I have yet to discover, it seems that our universe's evil has yet to manifest but regardless the pillars still poses problems." The conversation was getting too boring so I changed the topic and I asked her, "Can I see what Finn and Marceline are doing?" "Sure, come." She opened a monitor and we were shocked. Marceline was pulling the woman away from Finn who she was strangling. "I'm going back there, stay here and I'll fix this." She ran but I followed, she noticed me and pushed me away. "You can't come with me." "Why is that? My friends are in trouble!" "Because you are now Death."

I was frozen and she used this to escape, she opened a portal and went out. I was left alone and I pondered on what she said, I was to become death? "I don't want any of this, if not for that device I will go crazy." I went back to the monitors and I was amazed by the coverage of Maxwell's surveillance, the whole of Ooo is bare for her to see. I watched as my beloved kingdom was being invaded, Phoebe was doing her best and I can see that they're advancing. "I guess all those years observing her gave me the correct idea of an heir, I just feel bad for her to carry the burden alone.

Finn POV

"Finn I don't think that is glob." "Yeah, but I think she is in charge." I replied to Marceline's statement, I turned to ask Maxwell about this but she was already at the portal and she said, "That's the person you need to talk to, for now... Anyway I'll fetch you two later." And then she went on, we walked towards the center and I said, "Hi, I'm Finn and M-Death told me you could help me out." The woman turned and Marcy and I was stunned, she was a beautiful woman like an angel. I was still focused on her face but Marcy pulled me back and she said, "I can't blame you but we will still talk later."

We looked back at the woman in white but her aura suddenly changed, she was staring at the two of us like she saw something horrifying. There was silence for a long moment but then I decided to break it myself, "Hi I'm-" "Perfectly aware who you are Finn, you're not welcome here?" I was surprised, she looks great but her personality is stern. "I just came here to ask for help ok, I-" "You asked the wrong person." With that she disappeared from the pedestal which made Marceline and I anxious. "Where did she go?" My question was answered with a kick that swept my feet and a direct punch to the back which made me stagger a bit.

"She's a fighter, but why is she attacking me?" I was caught off guard again, this time a gut punch which launched me up high. By the time I open my eyes she was on my face saying, "Sorry Finn, I need to sacrifice you in order to save the whole earth." "Wait I'm here for that too!" I pleaded. "Then show me." She bashed my head straight to the ground, I heard Marcy charging towards her but only saw her get blown back. "I need to stop her." I thought to myself. I stood up and clenched my fist, I readied myself for her next attack and this time I blocked it. I stabbed her shoulder with my sword.

The shadows through her body making her unable to move. "Can you save anything with an evil power like that?" I stopped for a second, she was slightly right, the voice in my head might be from the power I had. I backed up from her but suddenly her eyes were completely dark, she was possessed by my power. She lunges at me and started strangling me as she says in a different voice, "You are weak Finn, you are not worthy." I struggled to hold her back and Marcy came to help but we weren't able to remove her grip. I started losing consciousness and as I look up I saw a hole on the air with Maxwell appearing.

Maxwell came and took her with ease, I gasped for air and Marcy came to me. "Finn, stay down, let Maxwell handle this." I nodded and I saw Maxwell clashing against the woman, "She's possessed." "I know!" Maxwell replied, she quickly covered her in a white sphere and the dark essence came out which Maxwell quickly destroyed. She carried the woman down and when she woke up Maxwell said, "She is Althea, you should hear out Finn, he is genuinely trying to save Ooo." "How do I know that? He was branded by the pillars as evil, besides who are you anyway?" Maxwell wore her exterior form which startled Althea, "What? You were a woman?" "No time, now you listen."

Maxwell POV

Marceline was treating Finn's bruises, while I tend to Althea who was holding her head, sobbing. "I-I-I was lost, I didn't know what I was doing." After closing up her shoulder I said, "We know, don't stress yourself, Finn isn't mad about it anyway right?" Finn gave a thumbs-up, he walked towards us and he said, "You were right, my power is a bit chaotic, but why did you attack us." "I don't have any other choice, my mentor needs my help and I was promised help in exchange for your demise." Finn looked at me and I nodded as I knew he had an idea who she was pertaining to. "Althea you need to see what this future holds."

I revealed to her the vision which made her horrified, she slumps on the ground and looks around. She couldn't believe what she saw, I walked to her so I could pull her back. "They tricked me, they didn't want to save Ooo." "I'm sorry about this, I was to notify you earlier." She held my arm and said, "No, at least I know who to fight against now, I will help in any way I can." "Thank you." Finn said, I was about to say something when I felt something wrong with Ooo, a forbidden weapon is being utilized. "Finn, Marceline, we need to go." "Wait I will also-" "No stay here, you can't show yourself to Ooo's inhabitants."

I tugged the two and we went back to Ooo, the Rock king is primed to launch a missile on the candy kingdom at night. "That bastard, he never ceases to piss me off." Finn pulled out his sword and said, "We need to stop this guy, he'll kill the whole kingdom." "I'll stay here, you two go inside and stop them." The two nodded and they went on, I summoned one of my agents and I told her, "Go with those two, they need to be as silent as they can." "You don't own me Maxwell." "Just do this one for now, Huntress, just like when you tested them for me." She sighed and went on to help the two.

"Go back, you can't stop her Betty." She emerged from the bushes and sat beside me. "I know that. I don't underestimate them I just want to know why you resurfaced, and in that form." "Finn destroyed my disguise, that boy is so stubborn." Betty laughed, a few seconds later we saw the three got inside. "How's Simon, is he lively?" "As always, I was able to hold a proper conversation with him yesterday. Still his memories are locked away." I saw Betty's somber look, I don't know what it feels to lose someone but I sure as hell won't let it impede me. "After this ordeal is done, I'll do something about that fiancé of yours." I told her.

A few more minutes passed and suddenly Finn blasted out of the command center along with his companions and the King, "THE MISSILE IT'S LAUNCHED!" Finn shouted with all of his breath. I stood up and summoned my orb, I leapt on it but betty asked, "You're not thinking of-" "It's the only way to stop it." I don't have much time so I levitated up to the clouds and as the missile approached I raised my hand, time slowed down so I could finish charging my attack. When time goes back to normal I used my spear to stop the missile but I was caught off guard as it armed and I got caught up in the blast.

Third Person View

"Ooo is destroying itself, we need to speed things up." Tyrone said as he watched Maxwell take on the blast. "In a short span of time they managed to recreate an atom bomb, how can this be?" Tia asked. "I gave them that knowledge, I figured it's time to step up the efforts and the inhabitants are more willing to eliminate Finn." Hugo answered. "You can't do that, many will die" "Along with the human given enough time." Tia was enraged with Hugo, he was hasty and didn't plan again. "YOU-" "Tia, listen, I too am against this methodology but Finn is proven to be very resilient." Alesse said. "Even you? You are the protector of souls for crying out loud."

"Hush, Tia, you are the most compassionate of all of us and I understand that." "It appears that you don't." She retorted. "Do you want to side with them? With that weak guardian Althea, who was swayed with a false vision?" "Then we should talk to her, we might..." Seph arrived at the meeting with news regarding Althea, "She has decided, we can no longer employ Althea's help regarding this predicament." After that he turned to show what the damage Althea has done to him. "You see now Tia?" Tyrone asked her, but she was more focused on Seph. "Are you okay, you didn't kill her right?" "What? No. I just incapacitated her, she trapped me inside the cosmic council.

Tia accelerated Seph's recovery as his wounds closed up she walked towards the viewing orb, "Thanks Tia I-" "Don't thank me just yet." She peered through and she saw Althea just waking up massaging her neck after Seph put her to sleep. "You should trust me more, you know?" "I can't, you're one of the few I can't predict at all." Seph took it as a compliment, the two always share a good banter with each other. Only this time the situation is dire and Tyrone is at his limits. "TIA! I have had enough; your emotion is in the way of our duty." "Hey now don't you think that is a bit out of the line." Seph defended her.

"No, I'm fine Seph you don't need to trouble yourself." Tia said with a softer voice, but deep inside she was truly mad. "I guess we need to be cold hearted to those we defend to fulfill our duties, I will take my leave now." She opened a portal leaving the four pillars to themselves. "Call Samantha, she'll take care of this mess." Tyrone commanded. Meanwhile in Tia's realm she picked up her knife and aimed at the old crystal where Finn always showed up, she hesitated but in the end she threw the knife at it completely destroying the crystal. She further damaged it by stomping and grinding it with her heel. "Finn, you are causing too much death."

Tia felt a surge of darkness inside her, she was wary at first but it whispered to her which made it her ally. "Finn must die in any means necessary; the people should be spared so I will deal with him accordingly." Back in the meeting of the Pillars Samantha sighed and said, "The transfer is done, she will be more cooperative with us from now on." "Do we really need to do this to Tia?" Seph asked. "You saw the result right, she will take care of it now." Hugo said. "Once she accomplish her task, the dark essence will be pulled out of her." Tyrone assured Seph, but he was reluctant, he looked at Alesse who also was nervous.
