Day 1, Hour 5

I don't know the time and date but I couldn't care less, Simon is the Ice King somehow. How deep did he fell? I asked myself. I took another glance at his house and I saw a woman, a muscular one too. He was talking to her while she was encased in ice but she broke free and begun beating Simon up, I wanted to help but not in this way. If I barge in and pull a miracle of stopping this woman he wouldn't recognize me anyway, so I decided to leave for now. "I'll be back; I will save you this time." I flew away and as I go farther I felt Simon looked towards my direction.

Week 3, Day 5, 8 a.m.

I just managed to gather decent supply and I had cleaned an old house for me to live in, most of the people are friendly but I still prefer humans as companions. Last night I was strolling inside the forest while picking fruits along the way, though I felt generally safe I can feel a set of eyes looking at me from the shadows. "I know you're there." I said. It was a girl with green skin and branches poking out of her hair. "I'm huntress wizard." "What do you want?" I asked her. "After saving us from Bella noche I'm indebted to you." She bowed but I picked her up. "Thank you too, I need a friend anyway."

14th of September (Month 2)

Huntress and I were strolling around Wizard City, I wasn't a wizard but the grandmaster was more than happy to have me here since they knew what I did. "Betty, are you sure you'll be okay?" "Yes huntress I am, I'm going to my lab, but thanks for the concern." I turned the lights and it was a pleasant view, computers and specimens on the tables, I've been trying to find a way to get Simon back and the wizards helped me get this equipment in a hurry. I was currently studying an orb that emerged when Bella noche exploded, the grandmaster confirmed that it was anti-magic but my tests failed to manifest that. It needed something else to work.

"BETTY!" I was startled with huntress shouting that I nearly dropped the orb. "What is it!?" I demanded. "I have a lead about the orb; it can be activated by an ancient spear." She showed me a picture of the orb with a giant spear with it. "Where did you find this?" "Uhh about that... I sneaked in the Ice kingdom." I was surprised, I know that I forbade her from going there but with the lead I wasn't angry. "Pick up your things, were going." I told her. We began trekking west of the city it took us two days but it was great since nothing attacked us and before we knew it we were in front of the temple.

"I'm going in first." I said as I went in the temple and as expected there are traps everywhere, nothing elaborate though. I avoided as much as I can and huntress used her swiftness to set off the unavoidable traps without getting caught in it. As we go deeper I took photos of breath taking walls and at the middle was the spear. As I get near it the orb reacted and flashed a blinding light. "BETTY!" Huntress yelled. When the light died we saw a woman, I walked slowly and then she glared at me and I saw in her eyes a ruined and desolated Ooo. "What was that!?" I asked. "The end, but you can help." She answered as she stretches her hand to me.

Huntress POV (Present day)

I was scouting for injured soldiers, as the explosion earlier brought debris which might have hit some friendlies but as I scan the battlefield I saw Finn and Marceline rushing towards the HQ. As I meet them I asked what happened but all Finn could say was, "Maxwell, down." I was shocked. Maxwell of all people, we walked to the war room and at good timing Betty was there along with Flame Princess. "Betty Finn has news." I told them to get their attention. "Thanks Huntress. Listen guys, Maxwell intercepted the nuke, she was brought down and is captured by the enemy." "Who's that?" The flame general asked. "She's the one that could help us." Betty quickly answered.

"I need a team, those capable of sneaking in." Finn said. "I'll go with you two." I told him, Marceline steps forward and she pointed at the guy who was in the shadows. "Nico how long have you been here?" "I just got here, quite an organization you got here." He steps forward and what we saw was surprising, he looks like human but something was off about him. "I'll join you; I can get in and out fast." I was quite skeptical about this guy but we don't have a choice, Finn accepted him and we started walking towards outside. "All four of you be careful." Betty and Flame princess said. "We will." Finn said with a determined face.

As the battle started again we infiltrated the enemy lines and we asked Finn, "Where is she taken?" "Uhh, I only saw her being dragged inside the fortress." I was shocked on how little information he was operating on so I said, "I'll use my eyes to locate her." I concentrated my vision and I saw Maxwell, her orb and spear were all separated in three major chambers of the fortress. "Alright give me your hands." With this I passed the information to them and Finn said, "Ok, you two get Maxwell, I will get the spear and Marcy you get the orb." It was good but why am I with this guy anyway? "Just go with it." Nico said.

I was surprised, maybe he was a wizard, anyway we moved to the sides of the fortress ready to go in but there were too many guards in front. "Finn how do we pass security this tight?" I radioed him. "Just wait, I called in Ice king to help us with that. Whenever you're ready IK." "I'm always ready Finn!" Ice king flew up and created a giant right in front of the guards, he began attacking and we started moving. It was a rumble as the enemy soldiers scrambled to fight the ice giant, some were launched to the air and some were frozen. Nico was quick and was already inside so I decided to sprint faster to catch up.

Inside we were quickly greeted by exiting guards, they held up their guns to us and Nico said, "Be my guest." I nodded and I fired five magic arrows to take down the first line, Nico then jumped in and began dispatching the others and with the two of us working we were done quickly. "Not bad, wizard." I grumbled at him in which he responded with a smirk, he dashed away again but this time I was ready to race him towards our goal. "You got all of the info, so this should be easy." I told him. "We're still quite far, don't slack." I was wondering what he meant by that but it was apparent why at the first area.

Third Person View

In front of the two were a platoon of soldiers waiting for them all equipped with weapons from the slime kingdom. "STAND DOWN." Their leader said to Huntress and Nico. Huntress dropped her bow and Nico his blades, the soldiers raised their weapons but Huntress threw a smokescreen and Nico lets out a blinding light. They picked off the soldiers one by one while counting their prey. Arrows are flying and shadows slamming soldiers on walls. By the time they were done only the leader was left. "How many did you get?" Nico asked. "Eighty-four" Huntress answered. Nico knocked the leader's lights out and he said. "I guess it's a tie, for now." Huntress agreed and the two goes away.

Meanwhile at Finn side, he was plowing through the soldiers in a narrow hall. He uses the shadows to restrain the enemies in front of him and spare them by knocking them all out, as the former hero for these people Finn still feels compassion towards them even when he know that they'll never trust him again after this. But for now Finn is focused on taking the two dangerous items from the hands of the enemy, he walked through the pile of unconscious soldiers which most he knew from past adventures and missions across the kingdoms. It was a somber walk which conjured an adversary, "Not fulfilling enough right?" The shadow implied. "Fuck off; I don't need this right now."

On Marceline's side was smooth. Not much enemies she just waltzes along the corridors the two and Finn seemingly forces the other soldiers to go to their position leaving Marceline to herself. "I wonder how those three are doing." She was contemplating with the changes inside Ooo in such a short period, Bubblegum is dead, Finn becomes a vampire and the kingdoms are in war with each other. She used the time to think of what to do next after this rescue and before she knew it she was in the chamber with the orb in, she was about to pick it up but then she sensed lasers primed at her. A dozen snipers locked on her ready to shoot.

Marceline began her work, she transforms into a bat which made all of them fire at the same time. She turns back into her normal form and dashed towards the first sniper she punched him hard that it dislocated his jaw, she picked them of one by one some managed to reload their gun but before they can shoot her again their arms were broken. One shot went through her leg which made her flinch. She charged at the last sniper and gave him a big swing to his head using the butt of his sniper rifle. When it was all over she sat down near the container of the orb and said to herself. "This better be worth it."

Finn just came on top of the squad he was confronted he was still fending of the dark voice in his head and he seem to be winning. "That doesn't even make sense, you do know they'll eventually put you down right?" "Like I care, I'm immortal now." "You know what? Have fun while it lasts, when you break, I'll pick up the pieces." Finn felt the voice gone which gave him time to let out a sigh of relief. "He sure was persistent, but that won't get to me." Finn said triumphantly. He walked a bit more and reached the room where the spear is located. He reached for it and it knocked him out, then suddenly Tia appears.

Nico POV

Huntress Wizard and I were running fast, those we can avoid are spared but those who persisted suffered. When I heard about the war it piqued my interest. I felt drawn into it for some reason, maybe something about my past, anyway rescuing this Maxwell won't help. "Why does Marceline know you, and who are you anyway?" Huntress asked. "She and I had an encounter centuries ago, and all I can remember is that I am Nico." She rolled her eyes over which made her distracted at the fact that something big was hurling towards us. I pushed her out of the way which made me greet a boulder with my face. "You can't come any further!" a voice said.

I looked up and I saw the rock king blocking the door. "You think you can stop me!?" I asked him, I have been surveying the royals around Ooo and by now I know all their personalities. "You'll regret asking that!" He immediately rushed towards me I jumped out of the way and he smashed through the wall, dust was all over the air and I was caught off guard as I felt his grip on my leg. My body was slammed towards the ground and his arms landed on my torso further damaging my organs. "God damn it." Huntress launched arrows at the king and while she distracts him I gave him a strong kick to free my body.

"You sly bastards!" he yelled. He was already self-destructing faster than I expected, I gave him a few light blows to spite him. The key to his fall is his short temper, at my current state I can't do much damage but if he wears himself out I can finish him off quite easily. Huntress and I continued attacking him from all sides while obscuring his vision with dust. The king throws punches around expecting results. "He sure is persistent huh?" "Yeah just continue this and we'll be fine." But as I said that I was caught, huntress saw this and came to help but the king threw me at her. "No more games!" I tried to move but I can't.

"Wait, just let us through." "You're joking right?" he said and suddenly vines held him in place. Huntress and I stood up and I said, "I'll just go and get our comrade now." When I walked past him he broke free and placed me in a head lock. "YOU MOVE AND THIS MAN DIES!" Huntress puts her bow down and the king began talking. "Listen you two, I own her now. I'll put those powers to good use and when it's all said and done, I'll take her as my bride." "That's ridi-" "She won't even remember you all when this day is over." "What do you mean!?" Huntress asked. "We're going to fix her brain, and manipulate her memories."

At that moment I felt a sudden surge I don't know what's happening but I blacked out. When I opened my eyes I saw Huntress with an arrow pointed at my face. "The fuck are you doing?" "YOU TELL ME, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" she pointed at the rock king who was leaning on the wall. "Your eyes glowed, you levitated and held his head. Now he's like this!" When I took a closer look the king's eyes were all white and he was awake but is out of it, when I tried to touch him he crumbled to dust. "WHAT THE HELL!?" I shot up and said, "Listen I don't know what happened but it wasn't my intention."

Huntress kept the arrow away and she said, "I don't know what the hell you are but if you pull anything like that to any of us." "I won't, I don't even know how I did it and I don't want to know." She walked past me and she said, "we're going investigate you later, for now let's just rescue my friend." I nodded while holding my head. She tried opening the door but it was shut tight. "Let me get that." I held the lock and pushed the door down. On the other side was a girl in a dark dress and blue skirt, she was held inside a capsule, "Don't do anything mad now." "Would you stop? I know nothing about what happened."

Maxwell POV

I heard air hissing out, the last thing I remembered was the explosion. When I regained my vision I saw Huntress who was talking to someone, I called her to get her attention. "Maxwell you're awake!" She said, I walked towards her but I fell which made her run to me. "I got you." "Where am I, who are you with?" I looked over her shoulder and I saw my old friend. 'How is this possible, is that even him!?" I walked towards him and I asked. "Are you Grayson, do you know me?" he was surprised. "Uhh no, Sorry I don't know you." "Can I at least know your name?" He sighed and said, "Nico." "I'll keep that in mind."

I was saddened that he wasn't Grayson I was so sure about it but in the end he was another person. "Listen uhh Maxwell, we're at the Rock Kingdom's fortress and we need to get out right now." His voice sounds the same too I was dazed with the whole situation but I remembered what I was missing. "My orb and spear where is it?" "Finn and Marceline are on it, we'll meet them outside the camp." Huntress insisted. They went ahead and I started catching up but my body is weak. "C'mon, let's pick up the pace." Nico said as he placed me on his back which made me uneasy. "Hold on." He began sprinting and he was fast.

We were travelling at the halls, I saw the exit but I felt something very sinister. I focused my mind and I heard Finn gasping for air. "Stop, Finn is in trouble." "He'll deal with it." Huntress said. I looked at Nico and he nodded, at the next corner he turned right and huntress chased us. When we arrived at where Finn is at he was unconscious and in the hands of Tia. "Put him down." Took my spear and stood up. "Stay out of this Maxwell like you always do." She glared at me but then her eyes were filled with surprise in her eyes. "Interesting..." "I said put him down!" I shot a beam at her but she dodged it.

She suspended Finn's body in the air and he faded. "What the hell did you do to him!?" Huntress asks. "I just placed him elsewhere, now we fight." She thrusts towards us and I stopped her, she was close enough and then I saw her eyes, it was dark. I pushed her away and I said, "You're possessed." "I don't care, as long as I get rid of anyone who threatens Ooo." She swung her staff at me I tried blocking it but she was too powerful. "You all don't have much time left, and my advice. Go somewhere far away and enjoy the meaningless days you have." I got angry all three of us attacked her but she stops us.

She slammed us together and then left while saying, "Time kills everything, eventually." By the time we could move she was already gone. While fixing ourselves Marceline arrived with my orb, she tosses it to me and she asked, "Where's Finn? I want to talk with him." Huntress, Nico and I looked at each other. "What?" Marceline asks. "Finn was beaten up and taken away." Nico said with all seriousness. "By who? I need to go find him, can you get to him?" "At the moment we can't, I'm sorry Marceline." She walked out and we followed her. "We need to wait for-" "I'm okay, we need to go back to HQ." "Are you sure?" I asked. She stopped and she said, "I-I trust Finn, he c-can h-hold on his own." I looked at her and she was holding back her tears, I gave her a hug and I said, "It's ok, we'll get him back." At that moment I could feel her sadness is like when I lost Grayson, which made me look towards Nico and I thought, 'Maybe he sent you to me, so I can stop blaming myself."

Update is here, its been long, I had finals and wasn't able to squeeze in the time to write. In the end it paid off, I passed my subjects and now I'm back. I will now try to update weekly and in advance I apologize if I release chapters a day or two late, I'm still warming up again.

The story is escalating, a new character has been introduced, Nico is the name and we'll learn more about him in the future. As a request you guys can give me some ideas for an OC of your own, think about it and if you send me some I will find a way to include your creation to the story like I did back in Death's Blessing with Primus by FusionDeath.
