Third Person View

Finn and Marceline flew outside of Ooo, at first Marceline was apprehensive to leave Ooo in its current state of affairs, but Finn made sure all is fine and stopped everything inside. "That is awesome, but kind of unnecessary if you ask me." "Am I with the real Marceline right now?" Finn asked sarcastically, "This way it will be like we never left." Finn offered his hand to her and she took it smiling and without hesitation. The two arrived at a barren city that was once called Paris. "I know of this place, my mom told me many things about Paris."

The two walked along the streets, it was a sweet gesture for Finn to take her here but then it was a somber reminder of what it is like for finite things. "Finn I..." "Got it!" Finn shouted with so much enthusiasm startling Marceline. "Close your eyes Marcy." "Why, you gonna pull one over me aren't you?" Finn growled and kissed her, it was a distraction. Finn, while locked in the kiss rebuild the place, the buildings placed themselves back, the roads and finally the tower. Finn pulled away and Marceline was left in awe to what she saw.

She gave him a loving hug and she quickly dragged him up, giving them a beautiful view of what the city was once. "This is something, even for you." The two ventured around the streets as the sun goes down, Marceline threw her hat in the air and the two hastily went through the parks, passing through cafés and boutiques, going straight for the iconic tower. At the top Marceline and Finn enjoyed the cool breeze, Finn marveled at the power he has at the moment, but Marceline had other thoughts. "Finn, is something wrong?" "What this? Nothing, I'm just taking it all in."

"Let's go, I know somewhere we could go." Marceline said. Finn nodded and the two of them went to the bridge with locks. Marceline stared at the enormous collection of locks covering the bridge's fences. "My mother used to say these locks contain people's wishes, hopes and dreams." "It's nice." Finn said. "I want to have one like this for us." She held his hand and looked at him intently, "but to do that we have to rid of the heaviest secrets we have in us. Finn, I know what's up, you give great efforts to express love but not like this."

Finn fell on his knees, he knew Marceline was perceptive. "I guess it's only fair to tell you the truth, I did all of this for more than one reason. I love you Marcy, never doubt that, but I fell and mistakes were made." "Was she from the other world?" Marceline asked while fighting back her tears. "Yes." He answered with all honesty. "While I and your friends were suffering trying to find a way to get you back, you managed to fool around!?" She said with a commanding voice. "I did." Marceline turned to the fence and fixed a lock with their initials on it. "I'll give you a head start."

Finn POV

In my rush the only place I could think of was PB's place, I opened a portal to the land of the dead and as I jump Marcy finished counting. "I'll explain, I just need you to calm down!" "I'll calm down after giving you a good beating." Instinctively, I rushed towards the palace of light and I immediately placed PB between us. "Sup' Finn, it's nice of you to drop by. Nice suit." "Yeah PB about that I-" "Finn!" Marcy caught up fast so I just prepared for the worst. "I see... I need you to calm down Marceline, you're in my domain anyway so I could kick you out."

"Fine." She said reverting back to her humanoid form. "So Finn she finally knew what you did." "Wha- how did you!?" "I know all, being death has its huge advantages." With PB in on the details, it wasn't hard to explain with her help, all the while I left one crucial detail. "SO WHO WAS IT?" Marceline demanded. "I... I can't it's too embarrassing." "For crying out loud, IT WAS ANOTHER YOU MARCELINE!" I cursed myself for not having the courage to tell that and PB to for telling it anyway. I looked up to where Marceline is and I saw her blushing, trying to processes what she just heard.

"So it was me... I guess my beauty transcends dimensions huh?" She said with a smile plastered all over her face. "See Finn, it's easier to just say it." "C'mon PB, in the middle of fighting the guardians it was the last thing on my mind." I walked cautiously towards Marcy and I held her shoulders, "I love you Marceline Abadeer, until the day my whole existence is erased." "Aw Finn, I..." She stopped herself and I guess she was looking at PB, trying to ask what to say or if she's cool with us. "I love you too, Finn."

I kissed her without the intention of stopping, and I guess she felt the same way. We continued at it for a while but then PB lost her temper. "Really guys, a bit respect?" "You still jealous Bonnie?" Marcy shouldn't have asked that. Within a few seconds, PB took me away from her and gave me a kiss too. It wasn't as shocking to me, but the thing that worries me is Marceline so I pulled away from the kiss which earned me a frown from death herself. "That bad huh?" she asked somberly, "No, I just… You can't I still stand by my decision."

"I know that, Marceline the Vampire Queen… You win." "Sorry Bonnie, but I can't share him, not only about my feelings but also our circumstance." I took PB's hands and I gave her a warm hug, after a few seconds, I went back to Marcy's side and I prepared a portal. "So do we go back?" She asked, but it was impossible at the moment. As we left the place the city crumbled down again, and for now my body can't handle the stress to recreate Paris. She was disappointed of course so I said, "We'll go back when all is over."

Nico POV

I was sweating bullets after Finn blew my secret out loud. "GOD DAMMIT FINN!" "What is he saying Nico?" Maxwell asked. "I don't know what to say, even I am shocked, and I lived my whole life as Nico." "NO, don't mess with me!" "I'm not." I turned to her and she was crying, "You were gone, I was alone for a thousand years." I couldn't say anything, I wouldn't know what to say either. I was gone, she was right. I left her alone while I wandered among humanity, I should have searched for my true self rather than running.

I began walking towards her but she placed a force field between us, "That's not fair!" "You're not fair!" I was reminded that we were not alone when Huntress and Hunson began speaking, "You two should stop it with the drama, if it was me, I'll give up the Nightosphere just to see my wife again!" "You insensitive demon." Huntress interjected. "Just saying." "FUCK OFF!" Huntress said as she aimed at him with no hesitation whatsoever. "Alright, I need to prepare anyway, GOOD LUCK GRAYSON!" "Don't make it worse!" he laughed as he teleported away.

"What about you?" "I'm staying, Maxwell's my ride home." She turned around to give us a bit of privacy so I focused myself back to Maxwell. "Look I know I don't have any right to be mad but please hear me out." I waited for her response ans I was relieved that she was willing to listen. "I just knew who I really am when I save Samantha, she told me everything, they all knew who I am." She still looked at me with a pained expression, i tried getting close to her but she backed away so instead I just continued explaining. "I watched as the humans, the beings we helped, destroyed each other."

"I always felt that I had to do something but in ghe end I was powerless, and now I know why." "Why?" She finally responded. "Because I lost you. My strength, my partner, my everything. I know this is a lot to ask of you, please forgive me, this time we will end the cycle." "How? Finn did it, he defeated our former tormentors, but what now? Nothing changed things just became more complicated!" "I don' know yet, but we'll get to it, just like old times." I reached out my hand to her, hoping she will take it. She did, but then she said, "I don't forgive you yet, and I need time to think about what to do next."

It felt like I died when she uttered those words. In the end it was too much of me to ask her. "I-I understand, I hope you forgive me someday." "Maybe... I guess this is goodbye, for now." I tried my best not to fall on my knees. "Yeah I agree." But still my emotions betrayed me letting a tear drop down my face. "Let's go Maxwell, we need to report this to Betty." With Huntress' call both of them left, I fell down the grass. I tried proccessing what just went down when Huntress came back. "She's asking for the ring." "Oh right!" I took the ring and looked at it for a moment, at instinct I gave it a kiss and handed it to her. "You really love her huh?" "More than I ever loved myself." I replied with a smile.

Phoebe POV (Three Months Later)

It wasn't as harsh as the time Finn lied or when Father revealed the truth but it still pains me to be removed as the leader in the war where my kingdoms are a part of. I didn't want to give the council a reason to limit my power further so I just accepted the verdict and went on my way back to the Candy Kingdom. As Princess the people of the Candy Kingdom have given me the respect they sought that I deserved, many of the children have accepted me too but still I couldn't interact with them directly so occasional greetings from them are treasured.

"Are you okay Princess?" "I am, thanks for asking Peps." At least I have him as my assistant, he's been advising me as to what my duties are as Princess and I am more than happy to oblige as long as I deemed it reasonable. "The war continues to grow my lady, Sir Finn is arranging a secret meeting for you and selected individuals he deemed trustworthy." "What is this about? Finn had been very active in helping the war ever since he came back and I am sure he is leading the charge to victory." Peppermint butler placed a device at the edge of the balcony.

"He says that the result of the war will not be favorable in terms of peace, he concluded that something must be achieved in order to arrive the most peaceful conclusion for all." The way it sound is very crazy, I respect Finn's views and ideals but the war has scarred far too deep between the kingdoms, so what is he planning? I have to know, knowing him, it's something crazy. "An envoy will be escorting you Princess, I will be taking my leave now." He took the device back to his pocket and went on his way.

"That was weird, Pep never acted like that in the past." Finn's words though, it sounds like it's a pipe dream. Will Marceline be there, is she going along with Finn? She's a realist and we both agreed, last time we talked, that this situation in Ooo can only be achieved with… "Princess the envoy is here." Pep walked back and who came out was a cloaked person. "Time to go Princess." It was a woman, she have an authoritative voice, still unfamilliar though. "Where is the meeting taking place?" I asked. "The Nightosphere."

I was nervous, I never went to the place, but as Finn described from his stories it was the most dreadful place he has gone to. "Don't worry, your highness, the portal will lead us directly to the castle." Not wanting to waste time, I followed the cloacked person and as we arrive the horrors Finn spoke of quickly engraved in my mind. I was about to fall on my knees and just close my eyes, but Finn tugged my arms to the room where the meeting is held. "Hunson, this is Flame Princess. Flame Princess, Hunson Abadeer, Lord of evil." "Hi there! Sorry about the scenery, next time I'll cast illusions."

Third Person View

Betty patrolled around Wizard City; she has been restless ever since she was dismissed from the army. Another reason is Maxwell, after three months she still hasn't talked to Grayson. "She needs to reconcile with him, I know what it's like to lose someone. Simon..." Like magic, Ice king appeared in front of her. He looked less goofy, something was off. "Hey Ice King, how's it going?" "Come with me." He simply said, he grabbed her hands and dragged her outside the city. "Where are you taking me!?" Betty asked in panic. "I dunno, Finn asked me to get you." "Oh."

She was partly disappointed, she thought Simon was starting to come back. At first she thought how Ice king never acted on his own, She felt regret in asking why. "Well, are we going to the cave?" "Nah, they said we're using this portal. Marceline isn't invited apparently." Betty was suspicious about it. And as they pass the portal they saw the horrendous sight of the nightosphere. "It's like hell in here." Betty managed to utter. Ice king was silent, he grabs Betty's hand and took her to the meeting room. "Hello dear, yes you humans once called this place hell."

"Who are you?" She asked with caution and nervousness." "He's Hunson, Marcy's dad. Thanks for the help Simon." Finn entered the room, and with all of the people he needed complete, the meeting has finally begun. "I'll get straight to the point. Ooo after the war ends, will never be the same, hate will propagate the survivors of the enemy kingdoms." "How can you be sure Finn? I mean, we did our best to resolve this with minimum casualty in both sides." Flame Princess said. "I can assume you didn't know what your brother and the other officials did?"

Finn showed them footage of the dungeon where the prisoners of war are situated in, and how it was flooded to drown the people inside. "I recovered this record from the last outpost the rock kingdom had. They know this happened and they did not take it kindly." Flame Princess was shocked at the sight of the prisoners she promised to save dying a painful death. "What are you planning Finn?" Betty was the first to ask, the whole group looked at him as he answered. "They need a new enemy, something too powerful to fight."

"No, I know what you're planning Finn, stop this immediately." Betty opposes Finn's idea. "What if it goes out of control and many more die?" "I'll make their sacrifice worth it, the people still thinks I'm a vampire Betty. FP what about you?" "I'll join you, my brother needs to answer for his crimes." "I'll go too." Grayson surfaced from the shadows, "To make sure Finn won't go too far." "My answer is still no, What will Marceline say to this plan?" "That's for you to decide, whether to reveal her our plans or not." Betty took Simon's hand this time and she pulled him, but he resisted. "Are you siding with them!?" "Yeah, Finn is my bro."

She was stunned. Trying to combat her tears she ran to the portal away from Simon and away from everything. Ice king just stared as she ran and he felt a bit sad, seeing her cry. "That lady is sad, should I?" Finn looked at his subordinates, Hunson, Grayson, Phoebe, Samantha and Alesse. "Yeah, try to convince her not to tell Marcy about this and be ready Simon." Finn said. "I will..." Ice king departed, leaving Finn and the others to plan their attack. "I've readied this a month ago... this is how it will go down."

HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS! It has been a while, I managed to squeeze some time to finish this in the holidays. Still I feel it's a bit slow in the updates, I will start the next chapter as I post this and I hope by thursday I finish it. No promises though.
