"Karasuno Castle is said to be hauntingly beautiful from a distance, but those who live within its range know that the living is not welcome in the black fortress guarded by crows. It's said that long ago that it was filled with life, that the singing and cheers from the guards could be heard by the townsfolk so far way that the castle looked a mere speck in the distance.

Those days have long since passed, though there is said to be one who remains. For those who get as close to the castle as they dere, a single candle can be seen carried thought-out the castle, moving at a leisurely pace. Every night without fail, when the sun sets and darkness takes its hold, the candlelight will appear.

There are some fools who think to raid the castle, but none return, none ever make it past the crows who guard the gates.

The tale goes that Lady Yachi was beloved by all who met her. Her smile was compared to the sun, bright and ever fulfilling, but some say it was only under the moonlight could her true beauty be appreciated. Her hair golden would be cast white under the moon's rays of illumination, and the stars which decorated her hair would shine brighter than when the sun cast its glow upon them.

A serene girl, she rarely left the castle grounds, and was protected by a group of guards who wore black armour, they were dubbed the Crows, for death awaited any who dared to seek harm upon their lady.

The Prince at the time, Bokuto was a fierce warrior and the betrothed of Lady Yachi. A love match if the stories were to be believed, but when the war which had been tearing the land apart finally reached the Fukurōdani Kingdom, the Prince was one of the first to depart to the front line.

For three long years the pair would exchange letters, neither one believed that they would not meet again, but the fall of the Prince is well known.

In a bid to protect his lady love and kingdom, the Prince sacrificed himself to create the golden barrier which now surrounds the Fukurōdani Kingdom. Its golden light shimmers even the darkest of nights, a warm, hearty glow which is said to have mirrored the person the Prince was in life.

Upon word of his death, the Lady Yachi was said to have refused to believe her beloved had fallen, and while known to have been a quiet, sweet-hearted person, her cries of anguish upon seeing the barrier were heard from the town, miles away from the castle.

Darkness set over the castle soon after, all but the guards who protected the Lady Yachi were forced to leave the ground. No one knows who carries the single candle, but some say that it is the Lady Yachi, that she's still awaiting her prince's return, that she knows that one day they will reunite and so she waits for him, wondering the castle alone, with her crows as guards to keep her safe." He finished reading, allowing his hand holding the book to fall to his side.

"Koutaro, I believe that's the first time I've ever heard you talk non-stop about something over the volleyball," Hitoka said, smiling gently up at her boyfriend.

His other arm was thrown across her shoulder, the familiar weight comfort in the slowly darkening evening. She wasn't one to usually go to anything she deemed spooky, but Koutaro had wanted to come so badly, and for some reason, she'd given in.

Even though they were alone so close to the supposed haunted castle, something about the place felt peaceful, right in a way.

"Do you think we'll see it?" Koutaro asked, excitement triggering his body to shake slightly as he bounced on the balls of his feet, shaking her along with him.

"See it?"

"The ghost of the Lady Yachi."

"Eh?" She cast her gaze back to the castle, its towering form illustrated by the moonlight. "I should hope not."

"Why? Don't you believe in the stories?"

She smiled then, wrapping an arm around his waist so that she could snuggle close to him.

It hadn't always been so easy for her to do such a thing. In the beginning, Koutaro had scared her with his energy. He was too much for a person who usually shied away from people. His endless joy and happiness had eventually broken her, and she'd given in to a date, when lead to three years later, with them currently being on their honeymoon.

"I'd like to think she's not there anymore. The barrier fell, so perhaps they found a way back to one another, maybe their together right now, somewhere far away living their lives beside one another, getting the chance to finally have their happily ever after."

Koutaro had stilled in her embrace, his arms wrapped around her a cocoon of protection. "I think your right, I can't believe that they wouldn't find their way back to one another, they were destined for one another, just like you and I." He whispered placing

a kiss upon her brow, down to nose, till finally, their lips met in a tender kiss. "I love you."

"I love you too."
