Auhtor's Note: Oh gosh, I am so dead wao. I'm sorry for the inactiveness! Its been months and I somehow didn't update at all during summer break? *sweats nervously* Haha, I'm not sure if anyone is still reading this gah. But wao, thank you guys so much? Almost 500 favorites and 666 follows? And all those reviews! You guys make me want to cry. Sorry that this is only an interlude, I'm working on the next chapter, buts no where near ready imo, and I'm not confident enough to post it yet. I need fix some stuff and add more. So far its at 5,600 words only haha ugh.
I reread some chapters and they make me want to cringe ugh. Fixed Prologue and Ch 1, will slowly go through others.
I hope you guys enjoy this though, I'm sorry that its an interlude, but I wanted you guys to know that I'm not dead Q A Q. Kyoko is so sweet and idk why but I like writing angst. Special thanks to Trololololololol for your awesome critique/review! I will do my best to fix some of the mistakes asap. Thank you for taking the time to write that review, it made me feel all panicky at first, but I understand the point of it and feel oddly happy? *hit*
Kyoko Interlude
For Kyoko, her brother is like the sun, always shining brightly, never dimming. He is her beloved brother, the one who may have trouble showing affection to others, but he'll always put in his one hundred and ten percent effort.
For herself, Kyoko likes to think that she is a little sprout, one that needed the sun to grow. Grow into what exactly? She didn't know. For all she knew, she could simply be a weed. Kyoko needed the sun to grow, but when the sun is always moving- always going, how could she ever survive?
.
And then the rabbit realized that he was alone. No one was behind him anymore. No one was upfront.
She's lonely, she realizes as she flips through a book. She couldn't read everything completely, but the gist of the picture book was understandable to her. She felt her chest absently, eyes wide as she continued to look at the mesmerizing picture. The ginger looked at the white rabbit, looking terribly small as he sat alone on the pages. Darkness surrounded him, twisting around him eerily.
Loneliness. So that's what this painful feeling was called. This ache that had started growing and never stopping was actually... loneliness?
Ever since her brother had started school, started boxing, she had felt so alone.
Kyoko blinks at the pages of the picture book, only realizing that she was crying as wet splotches began to appear on the black pages. She sniffs before tugging the picture book to her chest and simply cried.
She didn't want to be alone ever again.
.
But it was difficult, a simple smile or a wave seemed so hard all of a sudden. She was oddly scared, what if they didn't like her? What if they didn't want to be friends?
Would she be, her throat tightens and her palms felt sticky, alone forever?
.
She started a new book, one of superheroes this time. The other book laid unfinished in her tiny bookshelf. She didn't think she'd ever want to read it again.
Superheroes were cool! They always rescued everyone in trouble, and she wanted to be just like them! Best of all, superheroes were never alone. She hummed happily as she flipped the page. Her hand freezes as she looked at the next picture. No. Nonononono. She jumped back, throwing the book away, feeling her heart beat a mile a minute. No! He shouldn't be alone! Why were they all leaving him? She couldn't understand.
What did he (I) do wrong?
.
She sat quietly on the ground, drawing pictures as usual. If I was a sprout, then I would want to be a flower...I want to shine brightly with a smile, she thought rather wistfully.
But a sprout without the sun simply cannot grow...right?
"Hey!"
Kyoko looked up, surprise coloring her features. Huh?
"Do you want to play with us?"
She wanted to say 'Yes!', wanted to say 'Thank you so much!' and cry, but all she could do was give them her brightest smile.
.
For Kyoko, Tsuna is like a fire, always burning brighter and never being put out. He's warm and comforting like home. He's a leader, and his smiles are the most sunniest, the most honest and definitely the most warmest.
For Kyoko, Hana is like the moon, calm and relaxing. She is always shining steadily and helping those who have lost their way with her light. The ginger knows that she can always depend on her.
But to be honest, before they are a 'fire' and a 'moon', to Kyoko- they will always be her superheroes.
"Don't be silly, little rabbit! We don't want to lead or follow you! We just want to walk beside you!"
