"Please?" the host king begged.
Mori shook his head. "No."
"Pretty please?" Tamaki looked up at Mori with puppy dog eyes. "You know she would have a good time."
Tamaki's puppy eyes were no match to Honey's, and Mori had learned to resist Honey's a while ago. "No. It's unsafe."
"Kyoya's private army would be there, keeping watch over her."
Mori crossed his arms. "She stays here. Safe."
"She needs a break," Tamaki argued. "This is stressing her out and just needs somewhere to relax and have fun."
"Has she told you that?"
Tamaki gritted his teeth, offended. "As her father, I know what's best for her."
Mori raised an eyebrow. "Father?"
"I am her father!" At Mori's skeptical look, he continued, "You're not the only one who cares about her! If it were dangerous, I wouldn't let her go!"
"And I do think it is dangerous, so I won't let her go."
Tamaki frowned and turned around. "Mommy!"
Kyoya was sitting on a couch, and the twins were on the left of him. Haruhi and Honey were outside the room, in the kitchen, eating cake. Tamaki and Mori were standing in front of the TV, Mori towering over Tamaki.
Kyoya sighed and adjusted his glasses. "What do you want, Tamaki?"
"Tell Mori-senpai that I can keep my daughter safe!"
"No."
Tamaki whined, "Why not?"
Kyoya's glasses flashed. "Because you can't." Tamaki's face drooped and he retreated to his corner. Kyoya sighed and continued, "However, I do have an alternate proposal that I think will suit everyone."
Tamaki poked his head out of the corner. "Really?" he said hopefully.
Kyoya adjusted his glasses again and looked to Mori. At Mori's nod, Kyoya said, "Perhaps if Mori-senpai and Honey-senpai joined us, we could all go and Haruhi would be adequately protected."
All eyes turned to Mori. "Well?"
Mori stared at Kyoya for a moment before nodding.
Tamaki wailed, "But it was supposed to be a daddy daughter bonding trip!"
"What?"
Haruhi appeared behind Tamaki. Tamaki turned around slowly and his eyes grew wide. "Nothing," he squeaked, raising his hands and backing away.
Haruhi turned to the rest of the club, her eyebrows raised. "What's with him? What are you guys talking about?"
"Ignore him," the twins said, pointing to Tamaki. They grinned as Tamaki retreated to his corner and continued, "We're going on a trip to the water park!"
…~…..
"Why are we here?" Haruhi asked as she watched the twins and Tamaki cannonball into a pool, splashing water everywhere. Honey raced after them, his floaties around his arms and a large one around his waist. He launched himself into the water and Mori flinched.
"Mitsukuni, be careful," Mori called as he came up behind Haruhi and Kyoya.
Kyoya looked down at Haruhi and answered, "Because we need a break."
"The real reason?"
"Tamaki insisted."
"Ah."
Kyoya eyed a beach chair with an umbrella over it. "I'll be over in the chair reading if you need me." Haruhi nodded and Kyoya started walking to the chair. After a few steps, Kyoya stopped and said, "Haruhi?"
"Yeah?" she asked.
"Don't need me."
Haruhi grinned. "Okay, Senpai. But you never know about Tamaki-senpai."
Kyoya gave her one of his rare smiles and Haruhi couldn't hide her surprised expression. Kyoya only chuckled and headed towards his chair.
"So what are you going to do, Takashi?" Haruhi asked as she turned back to face the tall man.
Mori shrugged. "What are you going to do?" he asked in return.
"Read for a while, I think."
Mori set down the pile of supplies he was holding and smiled. He opened a bag and pulled out a book. Haruhi huffed and spread out her towel and sat on it, feeling the warmth of the sand through the towel.

"So tell me," the hooded man looked up from the table. "Are you prepared to make your strike?"
The man's voice was gravely yet quiet. Quite unremarkable, the mercenary thought curiously. The room they were meeting in was not quite to his standards but it would make do. While he was used to fancy hotels with attractive young women dancing on his lap, this room was the equivalent of a closet in an abandoned garage. The room was small and dusty, with only one uncovered light bulb swinging overtop the two men's heads. It reeked of cleaner, making the renegade think that he was right to assume it was a closet. Overall, quite unremarkable, especially for such a horrible plan. The room is just like the man himself.
The mercenary laughed. "I, Burmstrang, am always ready. I shall have this girl for your master in no time."
The hooded man nodded, his face shaded underneath his cloak. Burmstrang had been unable to see any identifying marks on his face. The bad light had indeed turned out for the man; he was completely unrecognizable. The only thing he knew about the man was his voice, and he wasn't even sure if it was his true voice of not.
The man coughed, a wheezing, hacking sound resonating through the small room. "Wise decision. It would be very…unwise…for you to back out on my master now. He does enjoy making people suffer," the man whispered. He leaned closer. "Best not to give him an excuse."
Burmstrang smiled, his yellow teeth showing through his thin lips. "Oh, I'm sure your master will be very pleased with our work."
"You should hope so."
"Trust me. We are very…thorough."
The mercenary and cloaked man both smiled sadistically and the cloaked man swept out through the door. Just before he left, he wheezed, "Strike as soon as you can. My master is done waiting."
Burmstrang nodded. "As you wish. I'm sure my boys will be excited for this new…challenge."
