Normally, I would've began this chapter right after I posted the other one. But because of stuff, I haven't started it until today.
But no time like the present right?
So anyways, thanks for all of your support. I couldn't have gotten this far in a fanfiction without all of the constant reviews, favorites, and alerts, which by the way, was absolutely crazy. In a good way of course.
And to Iishi- Haha, nothing like that's going to happen. Most the drama for this story has already past. It's pretty much smooth sailing with a couple of rough waves. Nothing big, but enough to provide some humor.
Also, I'm sorry to say this, but I won't be updating much after this chapter. Probably not until the end of May. Stupid school. Please let summer come already!
WARNING: characters are slightly ooc and T for language.
Enjoy!

Natsuki frowned as what Shizuru told her began to sink in. "Err what?"
Shizuru sighed. "Well, it seems like that none of my relatives could come, as they all seem to be very busy."
The blunette's emerald eyes suddenly grew sharp as she slammed her hands in anger. Who, in their right mind, had the audacity to stand Shizuru up? The woman was one of the kindest people she knew! "What the hell? Seriously? Don't they realize how important to you this is?" For crying out loud, the will was Yoshi-oji's last wishes!
Shizuru smiled sadly and rested her hands in the table. She wasn't close to her extended family, as she preferred the quiet company of just her and her father, but she has to admit, it did sadden her that they couldn't find the time to come. "My relatives are all very successful and their time is rather limited."
"Bullshit!" growled Natsuki, her anger rapidly escalating. "They can't even take some time out of their day to come out and listen to your father's will? What kind of people-" Natsuki clenched her fist and stared at the floor. "You know what? Just fuck them!"
A perfectly shaped brow arched at the animosity that Natsuki began to put out. "Watch your language, Natsuki. It does no good to be angry at something that we have no control over."
Natsuki's face continued to twitch between a scowl and a frown before settling on glaring. Taking a deep breath, the nineteen year old sighed as she dropped back onto her seat, her hands covering her tired face. Outwardly, she seemed to have calmed, but on the inside, she was a storm, ready to obliterate any obstacle in her path. Or in this case, Shizuru's. Who the hell did they think they were, ditching a day so important to her brunette companion and to herself? Didn't Shizuru's relatives know how much of an inconvenience they were being? She should just hunt them all down and scream at their faces until they agree to come. But she knew that her actions would only just anger Shizuru and that wasn't something Natsuki wanted.
The blunette sighed once more and looked towards Shizuru, finally re-meeting the other's eyes.
"Is Natsuki calmer now?" Shizuru cautiously asked, afraid to ignite the frustrated passion that Natsuki had brought forth.
"I'm fine."
"Natsuki really needs to stop lying," the older woman replied, crossing her arms in slight annoyance.
Natsuki rolled her eyes and moved her body to face Shizuru. "I'm not. I'm good." She was really okay if you ignored her built up frustration.
Shizuru quietly groaned before standing up and making her way towards Natsuki. Grabbing the younger woman's hand, Shizuru proceeded to drag Natsuki towards the living room for a more comfortable place to talk. Settling in on the warm couch, Shizuru gave Natsuki a small smile before saying, "Will Natsuki finally tell me what's gotten her so angry?" Crimson emitted the understanding that pushed Natsuki to almost blurt out everything on her mind. But still, she didn't relent.
"It's nothing." Natsuki denied, avoiding the question the best way she could. Reaching for the TV remote, her access was denied by Shizuru swatting her hand. A pout moved onto her face, but quickly was replaced by another scowl.
"We're friends, Natsuki. I know when you're angry. And the face you're making doesn't help the situation."
Natsuki scowled again as Shizuru's words washed over her. Maybe that was the thing. They were friends. Best friends. But Natsuki knew that she wanted to be more. Shizuru was rapidly growing in her mind and heart. She was beginning to care a lot for the brunette, even going as far as to become angry for her. And that didn't happen. Whenever her friends bring up their families and how they suck for doing something wrong, Natsuki would just roll her eyes feeling the annoyance that was necessary of her. But never anger or frustration. She knew that her friends' families loved their children, her friends. But that didn't seem to be the case with Shizuru's extended family.
They cancelled on a family matter. They cancelled on Shizuru. That was completely unacceptable in Natsuki's eyes.
A family is supposed to be there for you always. They're supposed to have your back, bringing comfort and a security. They'd be the people who'd you go to for a favor and wouldn't expect anything in return. They're supposed to be the one making Shizuru laugh and smile after her father died because blood is thicker than water.
That doesn't seem to be the case with Shizuru's relatives.
Fucking assholes.. Natsuki grew up without a family. She didn't have a mom or a dad or uncles and aunts. There was no one there for her after her mother died and her father imprisoned. Sure, she had her guardian, Sakomizu, but he only came around twice ever three months to see how she was doing. What Natsuki wanted was to come home to a family full of smiles when she's sad and laughter when she's not. Even though Shizuru had a family, they didn't seem to care about the brunette enough to check on her and that quickly boiled Natsuki's blood.
Shizuru deserved so much more.
"Natsuki? You're worrying me. What's wrong?" asked Shizuru, her beautiful lips forming a frown. The expression was Natsuki's favorite, but currently, it gave a cold feeling in the pit of her stomach. Shizuru's face wasn't fit for such a negative action.
The emerald eyed beauty considered lying to Shizuru just to get the brunette to leave her alone, but just the thought of doing such a thing was enough for an unpleasant shiver to run down her back. It doesn't help that I'm falling in love with her.
Natsuki sighed, resigning and giving in to her friend's persistence. "Your family are idiots," she bluntly stated, crossing her legs and leaning into the warm embrace of the couch.
The blunette then turned her eyes towards a questioning stare. "I mean, this was so important to you. And to me. And for them to just cancel a few hours before the reading, that pretty much shows how much they don't care."
"They do," Shizuru defended. "They're just pressed for time."
"Family matters always come before anything else." Natsuki responded, frustration once again making surface. Her voice began to grow louder. "Besides, why are you so stubborn about this?"
"They are still family, Natsuki!" the brunette said back, a slight bite in her tone. She knew that she was only fanning the flame that Natsuki had re-ignited, but she needed to defend the only family she had left. Even if they were neglecting her.
"Not when you're here suffering by yourself!" Natsuki shouted back, suddenly standing.
"I'm not by myself," murmured Shizuru, her mouth twisted in agitation, "you're here."
Natsuki's angered expression visibly softened and her tense body grew had gotten way out of hand. The biker had only wanted to tell Shizuru what was bothering her, but instead, their talk grew into a small argument. She knew she had to drop the subject if she wanted to be on Shizuru's good side. The only thing she could do was endure for the brunette's sake.
"Fine." Natsuki sighed, rubbing her forehead to relieve some of the pent up frustration. Sitting down again, the blunette let out a dejected sigh.
Shizuru's pained expression lost its edge before settling on a tired smile. "Is Natsuki feeling better now?"
"Somewhat. I'm still bothered by it, but you're right. There's no reason to get angry over something that's already happened. Plus, I'm here now and I'm staying for as long as you'll need me."
"Ara, then Natsuki might want to leave a toothbrush. She's going to be here a while." A smirk began to make its way to Shizuru's face.
Natsuki laughed, breaking the room's tension, before fully relaxing on the couch. Shizuru did the same and made herself comfortable besides the younger woman.
The blunette didn't move away or flinch like she knew she normally did when people touched her. Rather, she accepted it. The warmth the brunette provided gave her some needed soothing that seemed to just take away every negative emotion that she currently harbored.
The two continued to sit there silently. It were moments like these did Natsuki treasure the most. And judging by the content sigh from the woman besides her, those thoughts were shared. Too bad they couldn't stay like that forever.
"Say Natsuki, since the reading this afternoon was moved, what would you like to do?"
Natsuki turned her head to stare at her couch companion. "Well, the reading was all we had planned to do, but because of your loving relatives, I have absolutely no clue."
"Don't be so sarcastic." Shizuru chastised, poking the other woman's stomach. Natsuki just swatted the hand away. "We'll just think of something to do."
A thoughtful expression masked Natsuki's face. "How about the movies? I heard there's this good movie that came out yesterday."
"Ara, I'd rather we don't. We'll probably argue about what to watch."
Natsuki laughed. "You're right. Then we wouldn't get to do anything at all."
Shizuru smiled. "How about bowling?"
"No good. I suck. Bowling to me is like sugary treats to you. We hate it enough to go absolutely insane."
Natsuki pursed her lips in contemplation before a grin erupted. "Oh, I know! How about a trip?"
Shizuru gave her a glance. "Where to?"
"I don't know. Somewhere fun. I know Kyoto's got some cool stuff, but it get's boring here after all of sight-seeing you made me go through last time I was here."
"You said you enjoyed it!" giggled the brunette.
"To a certain degree!" Natsuki replied, her laughter joining the older woman. "There's only so much a girl can take before crashing. I swear, if I hear another tour guide talk about some building, shrine, or an old statue, I'm going to eat a whole jar of mayonnaise! In front of you!"
Horror was evident as Natsuki conveyed her hatred for tour guides. Shizuru knew Natsuki would really follow her threat because not only was the nineteen's eye twitching, but also a jar of mayo that her dark haired companion brought was currently sitting in the fridge. A shudder ran across her back before focusing on Natsuki again.
Shizuru's eyes swept over the other woman like a comb running through silky hair. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for this wonderful woman. Except denying her junk food, but other than that, nothing. And she knew that Natsuki would be the same. Because Shizuru was starting to see her feelings being reciprocated.
Over the past few weeks, many things have changed between them. Natsuki was growing more open and Shizuru was loving it. The blunette was beginning to smile more often and laugh freely, the opposite of when they first met. Sure there was still some tension, from the whole Yoshi-oji situation, but they were learning to accept it with the help of one another. Shizuru was also catching glimpses of emerald looking her way whenever she wasn't looking. And it doesn't help that she could see fondness and warmth in Natsuki's every action. She had a chance, she just knew it.
"Fuuka!" Natsuki suddenly yelled bolting up and making Shizuru's head fall where she had been sitting. "We can visit Fuuka!"
Shizuru blinked before grinning. "I think that would be nice. It's not very far and we can stay the night at a hotel before coming back here tomorrow."
"We can visit our old playground and the lake you like so much! Oh, and I think the bakery we used to go to is still open along with our favorite restaurant! We can have dinner there!" A blinding smile and excited eyes was all Shizuru needed before nodding.
"Let's pack for an overnight stay and some clothes to change out of tomorrow. Meet me down here in about an hour then we'll head out." Shizuru told the blunette. Natsuki nodded, smile still intact, before running for the guest room where her stuff had been dumped.
Shizuru shook her head in amusement before leaving for her room.
As soon as the car stopped in front of the hotel that they had reserved, Natsuki was the first to jump out followed by a just as calmer, equally happy Shizuru. Grabbing their overnight bags, the two strode into the small hotel and checked in.
It didn't take them very long to reach their room and after depositing their stuff, the duo soon left for an afternoon around the small town.
There first destination had been their bakery.
"Oh Kami," whimpered Natsuki as she took a bite out of the pastry in within her grasp. The texture was just like she remembered. Soft and cushy. Warm and soft. She groaned as the wonderful strawberry filling spilled out.
"Ara.. Natsuki is making me jealous of her snack," commented an amused Shizuru as she drank her tea.
"I can't help it, Shiz. This stuff is heaven on earth," Natsuki replied dazedly, chewing the pastry slowly.
"I assume so." Shizuru smiled. "By the way you're acting, that must be delicious."
Natsuki gulped before stretching her hand out holding the pastry. "Try it."
Shizuru shook her head. "It looks far too sweet, Natsuki. I think I'll pass."
"Nonsense. It's not that sweet. Just try it and you'll see."
"No thank you."
Natsuki pouted and drew back her hand. How can she get Shizuru to taste it? The snack was absolutely delicious and if the brunette would just give it a try, the biker was most certain she'll have the same opinion. Natsuki thought for a moment before something cross her mind. I guess that's my only option. I just hope that it'll still work after all these years.
"Please Vi-chan?" asked Natsuki, bringing out her secret weapon. She knew it was against her nature, but for Shizuru, she'll do it. "It's really good and I want to share it with you."
Crimson eyes watched her carefully and Natsuki could easily see the resolve within those beautiful orbs break down. Her plan was working. Natsuki inwardly smirked.
"Hmm. I don't know, Natsuki.." Whispered Shizuru as she tried to look away.
"Please? It would make my day.." Begged Natsuki continuing with her tactic.
Shizuru's eyes looked conflicted as she stared at the look on Natsuki's face. She tried her best to avoid it, but she knew, Natsuki will still end up getting her way. "Alright. Just a small piece though."
Natsuki's face broke out into a large grin before handing over her treat. Emerald eyes peered at the hesitant look on Shizuru's face. Slowly, the pastry made its way towards the brunette's mouth. In between those lips.. Shizuru took a bite and began to chew.
"It's... Disgusting," said Shizuru after a while. Shizuru watched as sadness began to grow in her favorite pair of emerald orbs. All of a sudden, she slyly smirked.
"Just kidding."
Natsuki's face hit the table soon after.
Shizuru just smiled and set Natsuki's food down on her plate. "That's what Natsuki gets for using her puppy eyes."
"Shizuru!"
After Shizuru payed for their meal, after arguing that Natsuki payed for the groceries, the duo walked towards their park with a sense of nostalgic.
On their way, they passed by Natsuki's old house. Natsuki ignored it completely, but Shizuru gave it a backwards glance. The blunette noticed and grabbed her companion's hand, moving the two as fast as she could. There was no way she'd allow Shizuru to think about that now. They were there in Fuuka to enjoy themselves. And that's what Natsuki's going to do.
The two continued to walk hand in hand, both caught up in their own thoughts. They were so wrapped up, they almost passed by Shizuru's old home without a glance. But Natsuki noticed the old house and pulled Shizuru into a stop.
"Would you look at that. It still has the old discoloration from when we tried to repaint the place," said Natsuki pointing to an area of the house where a light shade of blue contrasted the house's original pale color.
Shizuru stared at the spot Natsuki pointed before giving a small scoff. "As I recall, I was completely against it. You were the one who tried to paint it by yourself."
Natsuki smiled. "Yoshi-oji gave us such crap about it. I remember him yelling at me for dragging you into it."
"Hmmm, it was the only time he actually shouted at us." Shizuru returned the blunette's smile before continuing forward. Natsuki stumbled after her noticing for the first time that she was still holding her best friend's hand. A slight blush grazed her cheeks before gripping the warm piece of flesh tighter.
The two walked side by side making idle chatter. The subject varied from Natsuki's amusing friends to Shizuru's fan girls. They talked about everything, but at the same time, absolutely nothing. Mere moments later, the two friends reached the park and Natsuki finally let go of Shizuru's hand.
Shizuru instantly missed the warmth, but she couldn't reach for the hand again, afraid of pushing Natsuki more than she already has.
"This place is more packed than I realized," whispered Natsuki starring at their playground filled with children.
Shizuru chuckled and folded her hands in front of her. "That is to be expected, dear Natsuki. It is a playground."
The blunette caught the amused expression on her companion's face and scoffed. "Back then there were rarely any people." She crossed her arms across her chest as she made her way towards a nearby bench. Shizuru followed closely behind.
A content sigh made its way out of Natsuki's throat as she lowered herself on the metal seat. Shizuru sat besides her, folding her legs and leaning back to be more comfortable. Following the brunette's situating actions, Natsuki stretched herself out, moving her legs out and bringing her arm around the bench's back as if silently inviting Shizuru to lean on her as well. Shizuru was more than glad to take the offer and the two relaxed against each other.
There wasn't much to do as they were adults now and couldn't actually play. So instead, they watched the smiling children surrounding them play for a little bit as the sun began to set. The warm orange glow provided a sense of familiarity that Natsuki had surely missed. She remembered all the times that she and Shizuru had stayed behind till the sun was completely gone from the sky. And it seemed like that's what exactly what Shizuru was thinking judging by the warm smile on her friend's face.
"Well, if it isn't Natsuki and Shizuru." A voice said that drew the two out of their thoughts. A woman around their age with two braids and glasses came into view followed by two kids. "I haven't seen you guys since you both moved. What brings you back?"
Natsuki blinked and a confused look came onto her face. "I'm sorry, but what was your name again?"
The mysterious woman looked offended. "It's Yukimi! From grade school!"
Natsuki cringed slightly before she gave a nervous laugh. "Well, I knew that. I meant, what was your last name."
Yukimi's angered expression disappeared replaced by a relieved smile. "Harushima."
Shizuru smiled at what her best friend did. Clever, Natsuki. Crimson eyes turned towards that of the other woman. "Ah, it's nice to see you Harushima-san. How have you been?"
The woman, believing the smile was for her, threw a smile back. "I'm doing well. But the question is, how are you guys?"
Shizuru gave her a questioning look as the question was thrown back. "Pardon?"
"Its been years since the both of you have been here. I want to know what's been happening." The woman replied shifting her weight impatiently.
Natsuki shrugged as she answered. "Nothing much. Just here for a break."
"Oh! You guys aren't staying?"
Shizuru shook her head. "Sorry, but I live in Kyoto."
Natsuki's emerald orbs seemed bored. "And I live in Tokyo."
The confused expression that Yukimi adorned brought two pairs of eyes to focus on her. "Wait, you guys don't live together? Or at least in the same city?"
The duo shook their heads again giving the standing woman a negative.
A frown etched itself onto Yukimi's face. "I thought for sure..." She murmured looking down as if reconsidering her thoughts.
Natsuki copied her old classmate's expression as she sat up. Leaning forward, the blunette rested her elbows on her knees to provide some support. "What exactly did you think?"
"When you moved after Shizuru did, I assumed you were going after her," replied the woman.
"And why would I do that?" wondered Natsuki.
Yukimi smiled as if remembering an old joke. "Well it was pretty obvious how much you cared for her. I mean, you two were practically inseparable!"
Shizuru laughed, providing the wonderful sound that made Natsuki's heart beat faster. "We're sorry to disappoint, but we haven't seen each other until a couple of months ago."
Yukimi moved her head down. "No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry or anything. It was just, the way you two acted around each other when we were kids, was something special. The friendship you two showed was something everyone in our class wanted. We were all pretty jealous of you." The woman chuckled.
Natsuki smiled. "Well, isn't that nice to know."
Yukimi hummed before one of the two kids with her tugged on her shirt. "Oh, I should go. These little monsters' parents could be pretty strict when it comes to curfew. See you guys around."
With that, the woman left, leaving the two friends alone.
"That was a surprise." commented Natsuki leaning back to resume her original position. Shizuru, who had moved herself slightly when Natsuki decided to move about, leaned against the younger woman's side again.
"It certainly was. But Natsuki, were we really that close?" asked Shizuru turning towards the blunette.
Natsuki nodded. "Yea, remember that one time when we had to go to class, but we didn't want to leave each other alone?"
Shizuru giggled. "I do. You had the cutest little frown when the teachers tried to separate us."
"Mmm, so did you." Natsuki laughed. "I think you resisted harder than I did."
"Because I kicked the teacher on the shin? You told me that it was the only way for him to let go!"
Natsuki snickered before she started to laugh. Shizuru pouted at the blunette trying to fight the smile making its way onto her face. Her effort were in vain as the pout slowly morphed into an amused smile. Soon, she was laughing along side Natsuki.
After a couple more minutes of laughter, the two began to calm themselves. It was then did Natsuki notice the time. The sky had turned dark and the street lamps had illuminated the empty park. There were no people in sight and there was no sound except for the soft rustling of the trees and the slight noise of cars from the town. It was like one of the nights that she and Shizuru used to have, but instead of a bubbly girl she used to play with, there beside her was a gorgeous woman with the most beautiful eyes.
"Hey Natsuki, today sure was fun, wasn't it?" asked Shizuru, breaking the silence that had come upon them. The brunette shivered slightly as a a blast of wind came and made itself known. Her companion quickly noticed and decided to wrap her arm around the chilly woman.
Judging by the way Shizuru began to snuggle even closer to her, the blunette was sure her gesture was appreciated. "Yea, it was pretty fun. I just wished we got to visit your favorite spot. I mean, we were supposed to, but I guess time flies when you're talking to old classmates."
"It's alright, Natsuki. There's always next time," murmured Shizuru. Natsuki just hummed before falling into another comfortable silence. But this time, she didn't stare straight ahead. The sky above was what drew her attention.
It really was a beautiful night. The stars twinkled brightly, or as brightly as it can above the small town, and the music of the surrounding trees was enough for Natsuki to fall into a peaceful state. It also seemed like a good night to accomplish something that she swore she'd do before the day ended.
"You know, I didn't used to do any of this," started Natsuki moving slightly to see the other woman clearly.
"Do what exactly, Natsuki?" asked Shizuru, crimson eyes questioning those of emerald.
"Anything. Everything really. I didn't have someone I could easily smile at or hug without feeling uncomfortable. I didn't have people who could make me talk about what's on my mind or what I was feeling."
Shizuru laughed, sending pleasant vibrations to Natsuki. "I feel very special if I'm the only one who could do that, Natsuki. But certainly, you have friends who you share your thoughts with."
"Nope." The biker shook her head. "Just you. I mean, my friends are good people. They're nice, really funny, and we get along well... most days, but you get my point." Natsuki laughed before looking at Shizuru again. "I trust them, but it's missing that... connection."
The brunette looked confused now. "I don't understand."
Natsuki just smiled. "Neither do I."
"But then-"
The blunette sighed and shrugged. "I'm not the best person to talk to about with things like this. After you, I grew up kinda isolated. I rarely talked to people and I glared a lot. It wasn't until the end of high school did I start to loosen up. That was just two years ago. But all I know for sure is that I do feel the connection with you."
A secret smile only reserved for each other was given before Natsuki suddenly stood up. She took a deep breath before turning around to face her best friend's crimson gaze. There was so much Natsuki could see swimming in those beautiful orbs, but she was only interested in one emotion and there she found it. Love. Not one of a best friend, but of their significant other.
With that, Natsuki grinned and extended her hand out for the other to take hold. Shizuru did so with confusion before she was rapidly pulled up. In haste, the brunette's free hand held on the closest thing she could grab, Natsuki.
"Natsuki, what was that of-" A pair of cold lips interrupted her question and everything that Shizuru had currently been thinking about disappeared. Natsuki.. Could this be?
The grip on Natsuki's shirt loosened, as well as the hand gripping Natsuki's, and moved upwards to wrap itself around the blunette's shoulders, interlacing at the back of Natsuki's neck. Natsuki responded by wrapping her arms around Shizuru's petite waist. Crimson eyes soon fluttered close as the sensation of the other woman's lips were made known to her.
When the urge to breathe finally came over the duo, they separated, gasping for air. The two were silent as they stared at each other, each with their own ear-splitting grin. It wasn't until Natsuki touched her forehead with Shizuru's did the one of them say something.
"I'm honestly no good at explaining how I feel... But I think my actions did a great job of conveying it, don't you agree?" whispered Natsuki gazing into a bottomless pool of crimson shinning very brightly underneath the moon's light.
Shizuru responded with another breathtaking kiss. Breaking apart, the brunette laughed. "Very much so."
Natsuki sighed in relief before grabbing hold of Shizuru's hand once more. "But in case you haven't realized it yet, I'm in love with you, Shizuru Viola.."
The older woman giggled and gripped Natsuki's hand tighter. "The feeling is mutual, Natsuki Kruger." I'm falling in love with you all over again, Natsuki..
No words could describe the happiness that Natsuki was feeling upon hearing that her feelings were reciprocated, but a mouthwatering kiss seemed enough for the brunette to groan.
They held it longer before separating again. Natsuki smiled at the dazed look she left Shizuru with. "Way better than my dreams.." She mumbled.
Shizuru's eyes regained clarity as Natsuki's words registered in her mind. A sly smile began to form with her full lips. "Natsuki's been dreaming of such things? Ecchi!"
The blunette became bright red. "S-Shizuru! I didn't mean it like that! It was just a kiss!"
A brow arched at the flustered woman before a faux frown replaced her smile. "So it was just a kiss? Is that all what Natsuki thought?"
Seeing the upset Shizuru cross her arms in an angry manner made Natsuki take two steps back. "No, it's not like that at all. All I mean- Just um.." The biker sighed before she gazed at the ground. "That wasn't what I meant.."
Shizuru, upon noticing how far the joke had gotten, moved towards the unresponsive cobalt haired woman. Grabbing the smaller woman's arms, the twenty year old crushed Natsuki into a bear hug. "I'm sorry, Natsuki. I didn't mean anything of it. I was just teasing you. Please forgive me.." Shizuru didn't mean to make Natsuki upset. She just wanted to see the red tint graze the other woman's pale cheeks.
Sorrowful emeralds met Shizuru as the brunette peered down. Slowly hugging Shizuru back, Natsuki mumbled a "apology accepted" before she lost herself within the soft scent that was Shizuru. The brunette sighed, glad that the ordeal passed without much trouble.
They both would've been quite content with just holding each other there in their park, but Shizuru knew that the hour was late and they should probably make there way indoors. To be more exact, their hotel. Letting go of the warm body that had kept her warm all night, Shizuru began to lead the two towards their destination, leaving the crickets in the park, the moon above them, and the stars surrounding it to be the only witnesses to the duo's heartfelt confession.
God, I'm so sorry for updating so late. I've been meaning to have this posted at the beginning of April, but as you can tell, I didn't.
But anyways, I hope the length of the chapter is enough to make up for it? No? Okay...
I hope you all enjoyed the confession scene. It wasn't very dramatic, but it wasn't dull either. I think it's like right in the middle.
As you can tell, family means a lot to me and I think it would to Natsuki as well considering she doesn't have anybody she considers family.
If you guys have any questions, don't be shy to ask about it. I won't get mad. I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes! Also, it'd be nice to have another set of eyes reading one of my chapters before I post them. If any of you are interested, PM me.
REVIEW guys! I'd love to know what you all think and I find that reviews are great for lifting my spirits before my huge exam next week.
