The tension in the air was think the next morning. Luke could barely breath comfortably without feeling like he'd suffocate. Emma kept throwing glares his way, while Zuri gave him that freaky 'all seeing eyes' look. The look seemed to have increased tenfold. It was way passed unnerving at that point, it made Luke want to crawl into a hole and hide.

Luke hadn't seen Ravi all day and it broke his heart a little but at the same time he was glad. He didn't have to deal with Ravi. It was a good thing he wasn't around—no, a great thing! Screw Ravi. Luke didn't need to be around him. Luke decided he'd go to the park instead, get some air, escape the suffocating silence that befell the house whenever he was around.

The park wasn't as exciting or refreshing as Luke had hoped. Although he distracted himself with playing basketball with some of the guys and joining a one–on–one dance battle—which he won easily since the other guy was pretty much an amateur—he still wasn't distracted enough.

After a while he just decided to head back home. He was damn hungry and he hadn't brought any money with him, which sucked, he'd been hoping to stay away from the house for a longer time. With a long sigh, the teen headed home.

When Luke got to the apartment he went straight to the kitchen where his bad luck seemed to jump from it's–not–so–bad to really–fucking–bad in point–zero seconds. Why this was so was because Ravi was in the kitchen, making lunch for himself. Seriously, this was really, really bad luck.

The two ignored each other completely, both contemplating if they should just leave the other in the kitchen but not want to give the other the satisfaction. So in the end they both stayed and made their sandwiches in silence though the tension got even thicker in the air.

Though there was tension, the pair ignored it, opting to concentrate on making their sandwiches and not look at each other. It was hard for Luke not to look at Ravi though, the Indian was just… he was beautiful. There were no words in the human language that could properly describe the tall, lithe male. He was just… he was just Ravi.

Luke was so lost in his trying not to stare at Ravi while still throwing looks that he didn't realise that he'd gotten closer to the teen. When he did realise though—also finding that Ravi was throwing him looks—he panic and did the first thing that came to mind.

"Don't you dare shove me!" Ravi shouted, instantly getting angry. He was still so very pissed off at Luke and this was just making his anger worse. Ravi prided himself in his level–headedness, but Luke was really pushing all of the wrong buttons with his attitude lately!

"I'll do whatever the hell I want!" Luke shouted back. He wasn't even pissed, he wasn't. He was freaking out and this was his best outlet, pretend he's angry. He didn't want to shout at Ravi, he didn't even want to speak to Ravi right now, but here he was, doing it.

"You're so annoying!" Ravi shouted, throwing his hands in the air in frustration.

"You're fucking annoying. Just leave me the fuck alone okay?"

"I didn't do anything! You're the one who's acting like a complete asshole to me. I was just standing here and you shoved me."

"And so what? What're you gonna do about it?"

"This!" Ravi shoved Luke back and glared at him. Luke huffed before shoving Ravi again. This went on for a few more minutes before Ravi stepped towards Luke and glared at him. "Back off Luke!" the Indian hissed between his teeth, glaring daggers into Luke's eyes.

Luke almost choked. He was breathing the same air as Ravi, that's how close the raven–head was. They were breathing each other's air! Before Luke did something stupid, like kiss Ravi, he did the next best thing and he jumped on the other teen and they dropped to the floor. They scuffled for a while, both trying to get the upper hand but not succeeding.

After a while they both stopped fighting, both breathing heavily from the tussle. Ravi had his eyes closed as he tried to catch his breath. Luke looked down at him—he'd slightly gotten the upper hand by pinning Ravi down under him when the raven–head had gotten tired first—and his breath caught in his throat at how beautiful Ravi looked. For a long while he just looked down at his brother, just taking him in, the sharp angles of his face. He'd grown to be a fine specimen, that was for sure.

The raven–head opened his eyes and was surprised to find Luke looking at him with softened almost loving eyes—though obviously there was no love, Ravi wouldn't fool himself by thinking that his brother still loved him, not with the way he was treating him lately. Ravi was confused for a moment, wondering what was going on inside his brother's head, and not for the first time Ravi wished he could read minds, or at least Luke's mind.

Luke's heart was thumping dramatically fast in his chest as he stared down at the beautiful Indian pinned down beneath him. He was so lost in those amazing dark eyes that he didn't realise what he was doing, what his body was doing.

Ravi's eyes widened as he felt something hard poking at his thigh. And then they grew even wider as he watched Luke begin to lean down, moving closer to him. Holy fuck! What was happening? What the heck was going on here? They were fighting right? This was just fighting? What was Luke doing? Was Luke about to—

A ting resounded loudly in the silent room, Jessie's voice being heard as she chatted to someone on the phone rather loudly. The woman's voice broke Luke from the trance he'd momentarily been in. At that moment Luke realise what he'd been about to do, what his body was doing and he panicked.

The teen did the first thing that came to mind. Before anyone could react or question what was going on, the brunet teen threw punch and with a sickening crunch, his fist collided with Ravi's nose.

"Luke!" Jessie all but screamed as she hung up instantly and rushed to the boys on the floor. Luke pushed himself off Ravi quickly and watched as the raven–head squirmed on the floor in pain. Jesse was trying to calm the hurt boy down. Jesse got an ice–pack and a towel and handed them to Ravi who placed the wrapped pack on his bleeding nose while Jesse fussed over him.

Luke just stood there, too shocked to even move, just watching the pair on the floor. What the fuck had he just almost done? What the fuck had he just done?

"You asshole!" Ravi screamed as held his nose in a towel Jessie had just given him. The raven–head glared at his brother with absolute hate in his eyes. It shattered Luke's heart.

"Luke, why the hell would you do something like that?" Emma screamed at her brother, shoving him out the way as she rushed to Ravi and kneeled beside him, she too fussing over him. Luke snapped out of it and glared at Emma. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" the blonde repeated when she was sure Ravi wouldn't bleed to death.

"Shut up Emma!" the brunet teen said with a huff before turning and walking out the kitchen. Emma followed, not done shouting at her idiot of a brother.

"Don't tell me to shut up, you jerk! How could you punch Ravi? He didn't even do anything to you!"

"Leave me alone Emma. Why don't you go annoy someone else, or go do your stupid fashion blog or something."

"No! I will not be dismissed! Lucas Philbert Ross!" Luke reached his room and hurried inside before shutting and locking his door in Emma's face. The blonde banged on the door a few times, screaming Luke's name. The brunet teen ignored her and instead opted to turn his radio up really loudly. The blonde woman gave up with a loud, high–pitched screech and a kick to the door.

When Luke was sure Emma was gone, he plunked down on his bed with a sigh. He still couldn't believe that he actually almost kissed Ravi, that he'd actually gotten hard while on top of him. Because seriously, what the FUCK had he been thinking? Was he insane? That had to be it. He was losing his mind! Why else would he even consider kissing Ravi, why else would he allow himself to get hard in Ravi's presence? That shit only happened in his dreams, it was not something he could attempt to do in real life and not face horrible consequences.

Luke wanted to scream, to punch a wall, to kick something, anything to release his anger at his own stupidity. But he didn't do any of those things. Instead the teen curled up into his bed and let the tears, that had been burning his eyes since he realised what he'd done to Ravi, fall.

How could he have been so stupid? And now Ravi would hate him even more because he'd punched him. Why the hell had he punched him anyway? He could've just moved away, laughed it off or something. But instead he punched him.

"Fuck!" Luke whispered to himself as the anger rose even more. He was a jerk, a complete and utter douchebag and now Ravi really hated him and it was his own fault. Luke shook his as he curled himself in that all too familiar ball. He held back the tears this time, he wouldn't cry for his own mistakes. Ravi hated him and that was that, it was his fault and he could do nothing about it now.

Hours later Luke was woken by loud banging at his door. The music had long ago stopped since it'd been a CD he'd been playing. Luke groaned at the annoyance of being pulled from his sleep. He hadn't dreamt of anything much to his delight. But now he'd been woken and now he'd have to face the family again, and he was not looking forward to that.

"Luke, it's me." Luke sat up and wiped at his eyes. It was his mother. She'd been worried about him during their Skype session the day before, and by now she'd probably heard about his insulting then punching Ravi. "Please open up, honey."

Luke got out of bed and slowly made his way to the door. He unlocked it, making sure it was loud enough for his mother to hear, then headed back to his bed and plunked himself down on it with a sigh.

Christina Ross opened the door slowly and peacked into her son's room. "Can I come in?" she asked carefully. Luke nodded but looked down at the floor, hard. He would not meet his mother's eyes, and for some reason her presence made him want to cry.

Christina walked into the room and closed the door quietly behind her. The blonde woman carefully walked over to her son's bed then sat down beside him, taking one of his hands into her own, rubbing it gently. Luke still refused to look at his mother.

"Luke, sweetheart, what is going on with you? I know you aren't like this, you aren't violent. So what is going on?"

Luke wished he could tell his mother, he really did, but Christina would freak. Luke wasn't normal, what he desired wasn't normal. He was disgusting, being in love with his own brother, it was… it was disgusting!

"Luke, you have to talk to someone. This is getting out of control."

The teen was silent, biting his lip and bouncing his leg, fighting the tears that were threatening to fall from his eyes. He couldn't tell his mother anything. She wouldn't understand, she couldn't understand. She was cool, yeah, she was totally okay with homosexuality, her best friends were gay designers, but incest? That was too much of a taboo even for her.

"Sweetie…" Christina's voice softened even more when a tear dropped from Luke's eyes and onto his thigh. Christina touched her son's cheek and felt wetness.

"I don't wanna talk about it," Luke replied after angrily wiping at the tears.

"Well you have to talk to someone, baby. It doesn't have to be me."

"Sure mom." Christina pulled her son into a tight hug.

"All right. Well Ravi's nose is going to be all right. The doctor said it cracked and nothing major would need to be done." Luke nodded absently. "Put some pants on and come downstairs. We're going to finalise the rooms for the trip."

"'Kay, be there in a few." Christina nodded then kissed her son's forehead before she left the room.

Luke let out a tired sigh before he got up and grabbed his pants. He didn't really remember taking it off, but oh well. He pulled his pants on and stopped at his door for a long moment. Well he might as well face the music.
