Chapter 14: Realization

Bowser opened the door, glaring at the four humans with nothing but the purest form of loathing.
Their little fighting session outside the door had woken up Raven and caused her to injure herself trying to get to the door.
It was natural for her to want to check on her sister, yes, but it still infuriated him that They managed to hurt Raven .

"Do you MIND? Raven is resting!" He bellowed at them. " She needs to heal up and you SCREAMING OUT HERE IS NOT HELPING."
Peach looked directly into Bowser's eyes, rather furious. How dare he speak to her in such a manner. She was a PRINCESS after all.
"What are your plans for my sister, you scaly bastard?" She spat at him in anger.
Bowser looked at her amused. Did she hope to frighten him? The only thing that frightened him was his father. As Peach did not seem to be turning into Morton Sr. anytime soon, there was absolutely no reason to fear her.
"None of your business Peach." He growled softly. He then turned to glare at his daughter." Wendy! What happened to Ludwig? He's supposed to be helping you!"
Wendy scratched her head sheepishly.
"Well..I don't know exactly King Dad….he kinda wandered off."
In truth, Lugwig had simply told his sister that he was not going to fight Luigi and walked off.
Luigi DID save his life once upon a time. Maybe Ludwig still thought he owed him?
Bowser let out a loud roar of frustration.
"Bowser?" Came a weak voice.
The entire group turned to see Raven staggering out of the room. Burn and electrical marks were obvious on her wings and her body. She was holding onto the doorframe for support. She seemed to be in very bad shape, but that was to be expected. She had just been hit by lightning, after all.
"Raven!" Peach rushed towards her, but Raven held up her hand, nearly falling in the process. She would have too, if Bowser hadn't steadied her.
She looked up at him gratefully before turning her gaze back to Peach, frustration in her eyes.
"Peach. Don't. Just. Go home okay? You're always telling me I need to broaden my horizons. That's what I doing …"
Peach's eyes were showing pure shock.
"R-Raven?"

" No buts, sister dear. Just go back to the castle. I'll be along soon enough. It should give you some time to do your work, without me screaming past your window every five seconds."
When she bungee jumped, the window she tended to fall past more often than not happened to be Peach's study. She was fairly certain it annoyed her sister to no end.

Peach began protesting. " You cannot stay here, Raven! He's a monster! He will hurt you, and I won't be able to save you!"

Raven snorted at that. She was already a semi –Pro with sword and various blades. Like she needed her sister to come save her. Besides, she was fairly certain that, after what had just happened, Bowser wasn't going to hurt her.

But Daisy's eyes held a knowing look. After all this time, it was good to see that Raven had found someone.
"Waluigi? Could you possibly bring us to Aurora Capitolus, Sweetheart?" Daisy asked sweetly.
Waluigi nodded silently.
"Daisy what are you doing?" Peach asked shocked.
Daisy turned to her sister.
"It's obvious Sister. We're going home"
After they left, Daisy burst into giggles. She was holding her sides as she did so.
"What's a so funny?" Mario asked curiously.
Daisy was wiping tears of laughter from her eyes.
"Oh isn't it obvious? Bowser's got himself a crush! And it's Raven of all people."
