Chapter 20: Coming home
"Attention Passengers, we are now arriving at Aurora Capitolus. Anyone getting off here should collect their luggage. Please wait till the train has come to a complete stop before attempting to get off."
Raven packed up her books quickly and put her trash in the receptacle. She had spent most of the time sleeping and reading. She knew when she got back, she needed to apply the burn cream to her remaining burns and to her wings. That would require a MediToad's help.
Raven ran off the train and looked around. It was good to be home after all this time. All around them, people were greeting their loved ones from their vacations.
The sun was setting, throwing the whole station into a golden hue.
But where were Peach and the plumbers?
She had promised to be there, and yet, she was not there.
She shouldered her bag and headed inside the train station.
"Raven!"
She turned around and was promptly hugged very tightly.
Peach held onto her tightly. She had been worried about her ever since she had been separated from her before.
Raven wrapped her arms around her sister. She had really missed her.
"Sorry I made you worry. Where are Mario and Luigi? Also,easy on the hugs. I've got a lot of burns, remember?"She peeked over Peach's shoulder for the plumbers.
Peach looked a bit sheepish.
"They had to do something. So I brought Toadsworth with me!" She said cheerfully but with a hint of guilt. She knew Luigi had wanted to come with her, but Mario had dragged him off.
Raven looked down at the rather aged Toadsworth rather happily.
It was good to be home after so long.
It felt as though she had been gone forever.
