CH 4 In this life there's not surrender.

Everyone stood up as Raven entered, blood trickling from her nose.

''Syrio. Sobering her up doesn't mean making her bleed." Tyrion's voice was sharp as he helped his daughter to a seat halfway down the table.

Syrio scoffed.

"She should have sobered quicker then."

"King Dad?" Wendy stifled a yawn. "Why are we meeting at the literal ass crack of dawn? Couldn't this have waited until later? I need my beauty sleep!"

Bowser's face was grim.

"This couldn't wait. My informant has just returned."

He took a deep breath.

"Hyrule has fallen. The Crystals are now in possession of the Master Sword."

Raven's face lost all color as the Hyrulian troops burst into Chaos.

''Zel…''Raven's hands were shaking.

This action didn't go unnoticed by Kamek.

"Are you two close, my Lady?"

"…We're friends." Raven's tone was short. "Of course we are. We're close friends. What of Link and Ganondorf?"

Bowser visibly winced at the mention of his old friend.

"The two are prisoners deep in the bowels of Hyrules Castle. It seems the Crystals are trying to invoke the power of the Triforce."

"Well…It didn't work obviously." Toadsworth pointed out. "Else we'd all be dead by now!"

Alorn, who was leaning on a wall near Kamek, spoke up.

"Perhaps it just has not taken effect yet?"

Kamek glanced down at him.

"That's a good theory, my young apprentice. Unfortunately, it is incorrect. The Triforce is a class five wishing device. It works immediately. Queen Zelda was always happy to describe how it worked when she came here for trade deals."

Alorn nodded in understanding.

"So they're keeping them alive long enough to force them into using the Triforce?"

Kamek nodded.

Bowser rubbed the back of his head.

"Moving on, Crystal Tyrion, what can you tell us about your people's cities?"

The crystal being looked a tad annoyed.

"Kyprus. My name is KYPRUS." He replied as he stood. "As long as your Queen isn't going to strangle me again?" He turned to Raven, a jade eyebrow quirked in amusement.

Raven was covering her nose.

"Alright, first of all, "Her voice was thick with pain. "I'm not his queen. He hasn't proposed. Iggy, would you mind getting a Medikoopa? My nose won't stop bleeding for some reason.."

As Iggy headed off, Kyprus headed over to the white board. He passed a usb drive to Kamek, who placed it into a hole in the table. A map of the wastelands of Sarasaland appeared on the board.
"You'll excuse me if I don't use the shiny 3d maps you guys have. I prefer the old maps. Anyway, deep in the Wastelands of Sarasaland, there is a giant crumbling tower of a fortress. You all know this to be the last remnant of what was one the Crystal Kingdom. However, that is now simply an entrance. The Crystal Kingdom burrowed deep into the underground, carving into the very earth itself. Our king has done nothing but militarize us for all the years we were down there."

Kyprus took a deep breath.

"At last count, from our spy within their ranks, their number totals five hundred thousand. All lead by Diamond. And they all want your heads."

Silence filled the room. Diamond was the right hand of the Crystal King. He was the most ruthless of the bunch, taking great pleasure in the torture of innocents.

"We have Three hundred thousand.'' Bowser reported, as medical Koopa came back and began examining Raven. "Including the ones from Hyrule who've just arrived.''

Raven slammed her hand against the table,tape now covering her nose as the Medikoopa skittered away.

"She should have left some of them with her!" She fumed. "She was an IDIOT to think they'd not attack her! I swear to the gods, she 's so fucking ARROGANT."

"The Sages have been captured as well." Bowser added. "However, my informant tells me that one of them was missing."

At this, the Hyrulians in the room visibly tensed. As Raven stood up, eyes clouded with pain, she caught the eyes of one of the many soldiers. She was a Sheikah, with dark skin and inky black hair. Her eyes gleamed red.

"You. What's your name?" Raven commanded.

"Anju.'' The Sheikah's tone was short. Clearly, the Hyrulians were concerned about the well beings of their familes, especially in the wake of this takeover.

"Anju, please go with Roy here." She gestured to the book reading Koopa. "Map out Castle Town. Its weaknesses, strengths, and secrets. We're going to need it."

A map of the Seven Kingdoms floated in the center of the table. Raven moved towards it quickly.

"Alright, let's recap, shall we? Darkland and Eagleland are still safe. As are the Delfino Isles."She drew squares around them with her finger.

"Hyrule and the Mushroom Kingdom are under occupation, the latter by a really ugly looking Peach clone." She drew circles around them.

"Sarasaland's capital Solaria has been destroyed, but that doesn't mean the rest of the cities don't still house SOME people."

She drew a big X through it.

"By the by Kyprus."She turned to the Crystal Clone. "Where on earth is Mario? I figured he'd be here trying to help…even though Bowser wouldn't let him."

Kyprus coughed uncomfortably.

"He's working with the Crystal Kingdom. He's been put in charge of keeping your sisters…docile."

Raven's face hardened.

"I'll take care of that…THING later. Now I'm no strategist, but it would seem logical to split up and take Aurora capitolus and Castle Town. Leave enough here to protect Darkland."

Morton Jr spoke up.
"You're forgetting-"

"No Im not. But this takes precedence. We can hunt down Morton Sr and the pig sow I call mother later."

"Any objections to this plan?" Bowser questioned.

When no one answered, he replied.
"Let's adjourn then. Dinner is almost ready. After that, we can discuss who goes where."

As the group rose to leave, Ludwig called out.
"Mother, are you eating with us? The cook is making spaghetti if I recall correctly."

Raven shrugged.

"Sure, why not?"

When she left, Ludwig turned on his father.

"Please tell me you didn't forget."

Bowser shook his head impishly.

"I've got a plan, but it will require her to be distracted."

Iggy spoke up.

"I'll keep her occupied. Right now, she's probably worried about Junior. Only thing that can take her mind off of that is training.'' He pulled a sword out of his shell and headed out, Green hair bouncing with his every movement.
